Extended Stay America Suites - Phoenix - Airport

Inside was clean and staff was friendly. Parking lot had lots of liter and ver poor lighting. With there only being 1 entrance it made for unsafe conditions when returning at night and had to park in rear of building.

There was a kitchen but nothing in it. Desk clerk was great about getting me a coffee pot and coffee. Heat and a/c worked great. Bed was ok. Telephone in room didn’t work. Elevator not working and only 3rd floor rooms available. No shuttle to the airport so taxi or Uber. I got what I paid for but with the taxis I should have paid more and had free shuttle.

It should be mentioned that the elevator has been out of service for months now somewhere in the description. We luckily are able bodied people but what if we had back problems or anything like that it could have been bad. I think it would be thoughtful to warn people of that very important detail.

Smelled awful. Elevator out of order. Only 3rd floor rooms available to carry luggage 3 flights. No utensils or iron in room. Noisy neighbors on floor.

The elevators were down. I think that should of been mentioned before check in. I was there for a medical appointment for a friend and we were told at check in we would have to walk the stairs to the top floor. My friend with a medical condition had a very hard time. So I think everyone should be advised of this before hand because their elevators have been down for a while. Everything else was okay. Not a very good selection for breakfast either but overall if the elevators had worked it would of been a pleasant stay.

Close to the airport, parking was good. Liked how there’s only one way in and out.

Place has a kitchenette but the facility has no ice machine

Front desk at check in was nice. Room is dated. Bed was comfortable and clean. When we came back at 8pm we discovered there is no ice and no ice machines. The front desk says "due to COVID" they do not provide ice. But I can make it in my room. No offer for any solution. I'm so over "Due to COVID" as an excuse. I have been to many hotels in the last 24 months. All provided ice.

This place is great for a quick stay! The staff was friendly and the room had all the necessities. It doesn’t have a full breakfast like other similar locations listed, but it does have grab and go style muffins. It also didn’t have an ice machine so that’s why I didn’t put 4 stars for everything.

This hotel was very clean. The staff was pleasant. The gym was nice. Small pool that looked mostly shaded by the building. But clean and quiet. I’d stay here again next time I’m in this area.

Dirty roaches and it smelled bad

The staff member that checked us in seemed irritated that he even had to be there, then we got to the room and it was dirty and run down, the fridge had broken plastic on the door handle, the bathroom was not clean, there was still hair in the tub, and black mold on the wall around the shower head. VERY disappointed and we will definitely not be staying there again!

The room itself was tolerable. However, the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. We were only there one night as we were catching a plane the next day. There was about 1 inch space between the toilet and the bathroom door (I am NOT kidding). There was no tub, just a disgusting shower basin and shower curtain. The bathroom door was peeling at the bottom (it was metal, I think), the sink area was in the same battered-looking condition. There was no way I or my friend were even stepping foot in that shower! Secondly, there was a sign in the foyer for a continental breakfast. The only thing on the credenza was two coffee urns and one for hot water. Continental breakfast nowhere to be found. Nor did the desk clerk mention anything about food. My friend happened to see some cellophane-wrapped muffins and boxes of oatmeal behind the checkout counter! Not acceptable AT ALL! Also, you have to ask (and be specific) about any silverware, glasses, cups etc. you need. Asked for silverware and was given two spoons and two forks. No knives! Needless to say I will never, ever stay at this Extended Stay America again. Not worth the $150 by any stretch of the imagination!!!

Decided to stay at this hotel because it was so close to the airport. The room we stayed in very ‘used’ and the furniture was worn. The linens and towels were a light shade of grey ( funny smell) and the bathroom had mold around the shower. Didn’t feel like the room was up to par with hotel sanitary standards. Needless to say I was very disappointed.

Never comming back to this hotel. I got a room with a uncleaned toilet (dirty toilet paper floating) very dirty room. I complained and got a different room, this time a little bit better. i left the property inmedeatly (I checked out like 1 hour after i check in… as soon as I booked a hampton nearby

Everyone was friendly but the tub had hair in it, the floor did not seem like it had been mopped, the headboard was not clean. A late checkout wasn’t allowed, and there wasn’t a place to fill up my water bottle. It looked like there was something red on the ceiling.

Dog hair in bed. Human hair in towels in bathroom. Odor in room. Won’t stay there again.

They gave me a room which is uncleaned, no bed sheet, used blankets of others were folded and kept on the floor, and after 2 hours of calling and telling them the issue, then they realized the room is not cleaned and they changed me to other room in the late night when i was already tired. Very irresponsible!

Room was dirty, they dont wash the mattress cover, black mold in the refrigerator. The guy at the counter was rude. Ive stayed at a lot of extended stays and this was by far the worst.

It was clean, but the building, room is little run down. The bathroom is really small. Customer service was GREAT and helpful . Especially the young lady was new hire :-) very sweet. They only service coffee, oatmeal, and cookie for breakfast . I was kind of disappointed.

when I checked in it was relatively easy, when I got to the room, found the sleeping area normal, the recliner had 2 broken arms (Did not use it). The bathroom was so small that when you stand in front of the sink the door could in no way close. NOT GOOD AND WHAT A PAIN. The area is very busy with traffic, right next to an on ramp. Would I stay here again NO.

The refrigerator wasn’t working because it’s installed on the wrong side of the cabinet and was unvented. The AC was struggling and noisy all night. Definitely not soundproof rooms because you could hear everything going on around you. The bed was not comfortable and we struggled to sleep. The property is in serious need of maintenance everywhere. And $150 deposit for such an experience - insane. Also no elevator - had to lug suitcases up stairs. Their pool was lagoon looking water and murky - obviously not maintained.

No ice machines in the whole hotel, no cups or glasses in the room, no cutlery in an extended stay room is bizarre. It’s a cheap, airport hotel and that’s what you’re gonna get, but cheap doesn’t have to mean absurd!

My bed was so hard it felt like I was sleeping on concrete all night. My room was on the 2nd floor and you could hear every move someone made above and below so that wasn’t great.

Whole property needs to upgraded. TVs are old furniture is old everything I just out of date compared to every other extended stays I’ve been too

The hotel amenities were misrepresented in that the “sitting area” was only 1 chair with no end table, the kitchen had no utensils, dishes or cookware and the king bed had no light or end table in 1 side.

Had only one nightstand, not on both sides of the bed, and no working bedside light :(

Internet terrible couldn’t watch tv noisy and no ice!!

Staff I encountered the first two days were nice. After that, the gentleman that I seen working between coming/going didn’t speak (in all fairness I didn’t speak to him either). The bed was incredibly uncomfortable for me. I didn’t sleep well on any night. My back hurts horribly & I’ve been having back spasms nonstop. the bed squeaked with absolutely EVERY SINGLE MOVEMENT (I’m not blaming that entirely on the bed. I’m heavier set). The pillows seem incredibly used, very flat. No cushion for comfort whatsoever. At first glance, the room would appear clean, but I am a person that does my own cleaning upon arrival, the level of dirt and dust and was not ok, in my opinion. Seems quite outdated. The dresser in the room looked as if it was purchased from a garage sale. On short notice, the price was right but it was also FAR BELOW my usual comfort level. I’ve never stayed in an “EXTENDED STAY” establishment or anything of their caliber. I can say that I never will again. Not because of lack of service or staff, but the cleanliness was not up to par for me, comfort wasn’t up to par and the smell were a big turn off for me. The location was convenient for all my traveling via Uber. I had 12 trips using uber to/from and my most expensive was $15.85.

Staff was unprofessional - first young woman at the front desk was on her phone on loud speaker with a friend cussing and saying the n word all while I just stood there waiting to be checked in - she saw me but didn’t even care to get off the phone then after 5 min mouthed to me if I wanted to check in while her friend is screaming on loud speaker. Then I had an older gentleman who had no personality and seemed he hated being there, I asked where I could find your room and was told “somewhere over there” which wasn’t helpful at all. The ENTIRE building smelled so disgusting I literally had to hold my breath - I have no idea what was causing the small but it was everywhere - the elevator, room, laundry room, etc. Definitely would not stay again.

It was a decent night's stay prior to a flight home that is really close to the airport. For a morning right it is less than 10 minutes away from the car rental building. Then it's a team ride to the airport. In addition, it's a pet friendly hotel. It's also a non-smoking facility; however, you are able to smoke outside of the building. Upon entering, there were some Halloween decor that was simple and cute. The lobby was open and clean. The elevator was also clean and in good working condition. The stairs are clean as well. It's wide and has plenty of room for a lot of people to walk up-and-down. The check-in person must've been having a day or something but there could be some improvement in mannerism. Nonetheless, he was short and to the point. Check-in went smoothly and everything was clear. Checkout person was very friendly, polite, courteous and sweet. She helped us with the grab and go breakfast as well as checkout. The room was very quaint. Everything in the room matches the pictures except for the cover to cover the bottom of the bed. The fridge as well as the kitchen area was clean. Cooking equipment and dinnerware was open request. The bed was soft and comfortable. The pillows seem relatively new. They were super fluffy and had medium firmness to it. Towels were clean and neat inside the bathroom.

Staff was very helpful and efficient

First of all my wife and I, we’re looking forward staying here for night due to attending a concert at the footprint center. We walked into the hotel lobby and we see a sign that says “will be right back” but you hear people talking behind the counter. All of a sudden a fellow by the name of Chris appears and just stares at us with out saying anything. I told Chris I had reservations and right away with an attitude starts demanding for ids and bank cards. We were surprise how lousy the customer services has become. We had stay here before in the past and we never had this type of experience.

The staff was extremely unfriendly. They had no smile, not a word like "welcome to...", they're frowned all the time and stared at the guests like they're suspecting us. All of people at the front desk were talking with an attitude. They only smiled a little bit when they asked for rating on Google. There is no restroom in the lobby. We'd had a long ride before we checked in, so I asked where the restroom is and the old man at front desk said there's no public restroom while he knew that we're guests and about to check in. The room was old and smelled old. There was no toothpaste and no hair dryer. They arranged a studio suite for us, but there was no plates or cups or anything we can use to contain food in the cupboard. The design of the bathroom was very inconvenience, the toilet was dirty like it wasn't cleaned enough. Water from the shower was so weak! The last terrible thing was at 11:00 AM there was a woman knocking on the door, and warned us that the checking out time is 11:00 and if we checked out late we would be charged a late fee. I don't think I'll ever want to come back to the hotel. And I want to tell people about my story so they can consider their stay somewhere else if they don't want to experience like me.

The front desk are the best.

March 25 the woman who checked us in was very patient with other customers, as well as us. The overnight man was great also. I was tired and did something wrong and was embarrassed, but he made me feel as if it was no big deal. How do you find such lovely employees?

Close proximity to the airport, but that’s as far of a positive experience I’ll go. Complete lack of customer service with zero consolation for their computer system update that occurred upon checkin around 12:35am. I was told the system update may take at least 30 minutes, but the lady at the front desk could not definitively confirm a wait time of only 30 minutes. Had a toddler in a car, and being told to wait in the lobby for at least 30 minutes without giving us access to a bathroom or any amenities is frustrating and infuriating. No water, no bathroom, no comps, no reserved parking spaces for checking in (completely full non-ADA parking, so had to park far away from lobby entrance), no reason to stick around and put up with an outdated check in system. Recommendation to executive leadership: grant access to managers and provide resources to the front end staff to allow them to offer amenities and comps to make the wait somewhat worthwhile. Consider the perspective of travelers: get off a long flight, deal with the line at the car rental counter, show up to the hotel ready to sleep, but then only be told that despite having payment ready and with other tired family members in the car waiting to get in the room, the computer system is updating and will take at least 30 minutes. There is either zero or minuscule warning posted anywhere online that checkin around midnight is subject to at least a 30 minute delay by no fault of the guest.

The property was clean and in OK condition for it's age. Closest services (restaurant, store, bar) are 4 miles away. Hotel is advertised as "Airport" location, and website says 1.4 mi to PHX. Reality is 3.5 miles and no shuttle. Uber's one way price is $39 , and the taxi service recommended at hotel desk was $25. No coffee in room, and not available in lobby before 6am. I was on a long layover from PHX, and this hotel was a horrible choice!

Adequate for a quick stay before catching a flight. Hotel is in an industrial area. Hotel was a bit run down, and people came and went all times throughout the night (probably because of airport travel).

Great location if your flying out in the morning. About ten minutes from car rental drop off. Gas stations and a wafflehouse near by.

Good hotel, clean and friendly. Try getting room on University Ave rather than airport side of building, NOISE.

If you’re looking for a place with convenient access to the airport and nearby dining options, this location is a solid choice. However, if the appearance and condition of the room are essential to you, it may be worth considering other options or checking if the property offers recently renovated rooms.

Right next to noisy highway construction and some type of canal project that has huge noisy machines running 24/7. One night a homeless person was passed out between the bushes and the backside of the building! Only dining around was a waffle house. Nothing else even in sight. Lots of large groups seemed to be coming and going every morning so very very noisy lobby and never any parking.

Rooms were comfortable, not too many food options in the area. Staff was great. It’s not a full breakfast just muffins behind the desk.

Budget friendly hotel very simple basic.. clean & overall peaceful. Offer coffee & creamers, hot water, oatmeal, muffins and granola bars for breakfast.

OK hotel. We thought the room came with breakfast, they did have coffee in the lobby. Didn't expect much, we were not disappointed.

The hotel did not provide much in the way of "free breakfast". They had a few packaged muffins behind the counter that you had to ask for, and no milk/cream for the coffee.

hairdryer, mugs and coffee brewers are not equipped in the room, you need to ask at the front desk. For the breakfast, Starbucks coffee is served on the table for guests free to take, but foods are kept inside the front desk. You need to ask either.

Not bad for a place to sleep. The manager tagged my work truck to be towed and didnt contact me or let me know in any way other than taping a pice of paper to the truck. That paper got caught in my window and pulled up the plastic. The only entrance and exit is the front lobby door. Breakfast is under guard as if you are in jail and collecting your daily rations. Some staff ok, others are akward. Manager is too busy with a different property.

Your online ad states you offer breakfast. That is not entirely correct. You offer coffee and a plastic packaged muffin. Pretty disappointed in that but then your price per night was $100 less than everyone else so .....

Breakfast is tiny; it's just muffins, breakfast bars, oatmeal and coffee, and you have to ask for the food because it's behind the front desk. Other than that, no complaints really.
