The McCormick Scottsdale - A Millennium Hotel

Pool under renovation. Not advised. 110 degrees no pool. Very disappointed. Had to repack and find another resort.

I like the pool area and hammocks!

The hotel is a bit dated but fine but for one glaring thing. The pool was not heated. Resort-like facility with a gorgeous pool that humans could only look at. One desk clerk said that of course the pool was heated and another said that the heater was broken. IT WAS TOO COLD TO SPEND MORE THAN A MINUTE IN.

Likes. Comfortable and convenient location. Lots of recreational options. Dislike. No hot tub side of pool. If you know weather is not going to be 110 degrees out, please can you heat the pool. It was freezing.

The King Superior had a great view of the lake, the hammocks were cozy, location was convenient for us. The ambience of the room was calm and relaxed. Although no 'fart fan' as my husband calls it. Due to the pool being renovated we were given pool passes to the Plaza across the way, which was perfect.

Fitness center was too warm but otherwise stay was good. Pool was refreshing.

I came for a soak in the pool as this pool is a family favorite. Was not told about renovation until after room was paid for. I was told I could get a refund but when Hotels.com reached out to McCormick, they didn't honor it. I ended up staying there because I came for a mama away weekend And didn't want to double my spending on a room. I just wanted to relax and it ended up being a stress mini vacation.

There are a lot of activities onsite. Plenty of shopping centers and restaurants close by.

Needs a remodel, ac unit was noisy and ran 24/7 , pool was out of commission, parking lot was in poor shape, tried to charge me $50 for early check in.

I love the kayak and canoe on the lake

This is a beautiful property, great location, nice pool area.(although pool has areas in need of cleaning and/or repair). That's where it ends. The room, other than bedding and towels, was filthy. Floors, walls, windows, chair even....have not been cleaned in goodness knows how long. Walls had MANY stains. Front desk people greeted me twice in entire time I was there. Maybe that's not an expectation...fair enough....but I'm used to hotels in this price range having excellent and friendly service, greeting you when you pass by/enter leave/so on. Houskeeping and engineering on the other hand were very friendly. Service at the pool...unsure if it exists or not. Out of 5 days at the pool I was asked twice if I wanted to order anything. One time was fine. The other time I was there for a couple of hours and had to hunt down the server to get my bill before I left as Id not seen her again. At that point she asked repeatedly if I was sure I didnt want to order anything else including lunch. Um...I would have!? Not clear on extra amenities offered like kayaks or bikes. Information was not offered and I did not ask. Did use gym. Again, quite dirty. All in all stay was average. Hotel is definitely overpriced for what it offers. Theyre getting by based on their location which if thats whats important...fair enough. Just be careful in the parking lot as it is very dark. Did not feel safe unless parked directly underneath one of the few lights.

Location was great! Lobby great, outdoor facilities great! The checkin staff and check out were good! Price for our room was way too high for a below average room!! The room had old furnishings, headboard dirty, bathroom door was beat up, and dirty, dusty bathroom; hair on desk chair.

The room was very dated and dirty. Spider webs and dead mosquitos on 2 of the walls and little moth flies on the bedding upon getting into bed.

The staff was friendly, very accommodating, beautiful property, restaurant food was delicious! So much to do at the resort! Room was very clean, remote in a sanitized bag, and smelled clean.

I was so happy with my stay. The room was clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I can’t say enough good things.

Our stay was amazing! The grounds were beautiful. The pool was warm, the staff were friendly. The pool bar was open and made lounging at the pool easy. Ordered lunch and drinks right at the pool. Wish we didn’t go in the middle of summer or we would have utilized the free bikes and kayaks. We will be planning another trip for that later in the year. Overall the resort was relaxing and just what we needed. I was concerned when I read previous reviews, but the room was clean and up to date. AC was cold, water pressure was good. And I’m pretty sure the pool was saltwater.

It was clean and everyone was friendly

Do not expect much from these rooms. The rooms are a dump. Lots of black mold in our room. However the grounds are beautiful and well kept. Nice outdoor areas but hotel itself should be knocked down.

Overall average. Nothing stood out. Patio sliding door seemed like it would come detached from wall connection if i spent anymore time trying to open it.

The overall property left a less-than-stellar first impression. Upon arrival, the exterior and common areas felt somewhat run-down, and there was noticeable partying on the decks with guests being loud. We were concerned that the environment would affect the quality of our stay and weren’t sure what to expect. Fortunately, our room itself was clean, quiet, and spacious, which was a pleasant surprise and made for a more comfortable stay than we initially anticipated.

Walls are very thin. Conversations are not private. However, price is right and location is superior.

We loved having a view of the lake!

This property is a bit dated and can really use some upkeep. Our room was pretty clean but in some deep need of repairs. The parking lot was in such disrepair that it was hard to roll luggage through it. Then my last day they were doing some sort of construction in the room next door with hammers, saws and people yelling starting at 7am which is way too early in my opinion. I won’t be staying at this property again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

the walls are super duper thin, and it's long past time for a remodel. could definitely have higher standards for cleanliness in the room. but the bed and pillows were very comfortable and it was spacious.

This was a very good choice for staying in Scottsdale. The price was good even after taking into account a $35 resort fee, which is something a lot of places do these days. There is an excellent view of a small lake and golf course. Room was comfortable with the minor exception of a platform under the bed that I kept stubbing my toe on. if that’s the worst thing I can say then I guess I have no complaints.LOL

Sliding door is loose. Can her traffic noise.

enjoy my stay at The McCormick. Beds are comfortable and room was clean. Our room was facing the mountains/ main street so it gets pretty noisy. Other than that, it was a nice place to stay.

We were pretty upset because I was traveling with three teenage girls and housekeeping came in for separate times without knocking, and with the do not disturb sign on the door and one of the times my daughter was getting dressed

The front desk staff demonstrated high quality customer service. The cleaning/housekeep staff was impressive. The bartender was highly attentive. GREAT JOB TEAM!

The receptionist assigned us a room where others were already staying and walked in on them. Asked the receptionist for drink vouchers and responded with an attitude, multiple workers had attitudes as well.

Excellent location and great service

Nice hotel but we were stuck with a room facing the Scottsdale Rd which was very noisy. We tried each day to switch rooms but were told that hotel was booked during spring training. If they wanted, the staff could have accommodated our request. They did not. If you want to stay at this hotel, let staff know that you do not want room along Scottsdale Rd before you book the room.

I had a wonderful stay and found the Hotel staff to be friendly and accommodating, better than most luxury resorts in Scottsdale.

We had planned to have a quiet dinner at the hotel restaurant, especially since we were traveling with my grandson. The posted hours said the restaurant closes at 8 p.m. on Thursdays, but when we arrived at 7 p.m., we were told it was already closed. The man in charge offered no explanation or apology—just a flat "it's closed," which left us scrambling for other options at the last minute. To make matters worse, this same employee had earlier tossed my credit card back at me after I purchased a couple of drinks at the bar. His attitude throughout was unprofessional and frankly rude. At checkout, the front desk attendant didn’t ask how our stay was or whether we needed anything else—basic hospitality that was completely lacking. The overall level of customer service at this hotel is below expectations. The only two staff members who made a positive impression were Anita at check-in and Irma at breakfast—both of whom were professional and helpful. Unfortunately, their efforts were overshadowed by the overall disappointing experience. Very disappointed.

I requested a late check out at the front desk upon checking in. This was accommodated. But house keeping repeatedly came into my room while I was working prior to my checkout time and was disruptive (not house keeping’s fault this obviously was just not communicated by front desk and it was very chaotic)

Just a quick staycation in Scottsdale. The McCormick is in a perfect area. Always fun!

This is an older property that has been renovated and is an excellent value for the price. My room had a nice balcony that overlooked a small lake. Location is close to Old Town Scottsdale, so very convenient to shopping and dining. Staff is friendly and helpful plus the room was very clean, comfortable and big. Will definitely book again.

Simple trip to visit family. Lakeside room had a lovely view and a breeze. Peaceful, restaurant was good food. Very comfortable and pleased, nice area in Scotts, good price.

It's the perfect "home away from home", offering much-needed comfort and relaxation during my weekly medical treatments at the Mayo Clinic. The rooms are always clean, and the beds and pillows are so comfortable. The restaurant is a true highlight, with fantastic food and breathtaking lake views. A huge thank you to Ryan for her wonderful service in the restaurant and bar!

The food in the restaurant did not taste good at all. Very greasy, hard on the stomach, and several times there was no one in the bar bartending. I waited 15 minutes once after asking the front desk if they could find someone. Would have been nice if there was a jacuzzi on site. Probably won't go back

A great rate for Scottsdale at peak season in the heart of McCormick Ranch. Nice room. Nice staff. Restaurant outdoor seating and a view of the lake. I’ll stay here again when I need to come back to Scottsdale.

Loved the lake!! Enjoyed the pool and beach area. Awesome to have a choice of activities to enjoy. We had a Mtn view and it over looked the lake & the country club across the lake. Absolutely beautiful!! The bartenders during the week day were amazing. The wait staff was awesome. We never wanted for a thing! We had dinner in the restaurant, the stuffed chicken breast, it was tender & the vegetables were incredible. We also hung out at the bar for live music. Our bedroom was very clean and updated. The bathroom was very spacious. Nothing like a long hot shower. The water pressure was incredible!! We highly recommend The McCormick.

Restaurant is fabulous! Great service and food is good. Pool is quiet..during week, and you can’t beat the view
