pool was unclean and the water already green

Pool privacy and quiet.

All good except that the 2 ice machines were not working when I wanted ice for my cooler. Had to go to a local grocery store to buy some. Not really terrible, but just inconvenient. I can see one being broken, but both of them? Seems like they don't have this high on their repair priority list.

Easy check-in. Ice machines were turned off and empty.

Had an upstairs room but parking was outside building, this was at the back of the property. I did think the room smelled of old smoke but it was manageable. Room was very dark, couldn't open curtains as there was no barrier in-between, so its either curtains or everyone can see you. Room was a bit tired, could do with a remodel, but it was decent enough. Pool was open and at the time of year (beginning of October) I was the only one in it. It was clean and lovely after a hot long day. I used the laundry room which had 2 washing machines and 2 dryers - this was decent price at $1.50 for cleaning and $1 for drying (much better than other hotels I stayed in during my trip). There is a free breakfast but I arrived near the end so I only picked up a yoghurt and a hot tea

The pool was very dirty green stuff in the pool. He was very money, hungry and unprofessional.

Feral cats love it here. Pool was nice. Air conditioner was super loud but necessary. Water pressure good.

We booked because they advertise as they have a pool. Both the pool and gym have been closed for quite sometime. The signs were old. It's a totally false advertisement!!! They have no intention to fix them. The room was filthy. The air conditioning vent was covered with dust. I was afraid we might get sick.

Check in was easy. Room was clean but could use some maintenance. Ice machine was out of order. Pool looked nice but we did not use.

So helpful at check in especially since we were early.and it was so nice to have the pool in this heat. Room is large, comfortable and well equipped

Bad the door didn’t even lock dead bolt just opened right up I have video. Grandson seen 2 roaches crawling on wall behind tv n fridge area. Wasn’t able to speak to manager he was out till evening left complaint with front worker.. sad I have stayed many times at this place before under old manager…. Would like my stay corrected at further date

Parking is easy . Room was clean. Kaffee is good.

White mold on floor/wall behind bed and bedtables. Breakfast was none existent.

For me it was an ideal location. Room was clean and quiet. Older building and improved since my last stay in May of 2024

The room was ok, bed and bedding nice. Bit worn, but very clean. What more cound one expect for the price? Barstow always a real trip. Won't be back but the Super8 OK:)

The room is very dirty and had bed bugs

We checked in at 11pm in the night. After couple of hours I started feeling itchy all over my body. Upon checking bed with torchlight, found couple of bed bugs and we had to immediately vacate the hotel and go for another one.

Quiet location but not worth the discomforts. Both sink and tub had black water spray before it cleared. The couch was disgusting. Service was fine, quick check in.

Pics on site are not true . Carpet was sticky room smelled ! No hot water . I paid for 3 nights but left after day 1 ! Thats how bad this hotel is !!!

It was a nice room. Very clean and comfortable.

My room was comfortable and clean. I really liked the bed mattress, I slept good! Nice thick towels, superior to other places. Quiet and close to I - 15. I have stayed there in past and I'll stay there again! I would highly recommend to any traveler.

The room was fine. It is small but ok for a couple. There isn't any room service. Being I was staying there for an extended stay I had to place trash outside for pickup. Breakfast consisted of generic eggo waffles that have been thawed and refrozen. The yogurt was warm so I didn't trust it. I would reconsider my choice next time I'm in the area

Room was very small; TV did not work. TOOK 3 calls to the OFFICE to get the TV to work Breakfast was Minimal. Not what i was expecting .

The remote control for the tv didn’t work. I called the front desk and the person who came to the room couldn’t solve the problem. So I had to watch the same channel all the stay.

The room was worst. AC WAS not working. But I asked front desk. She changed the room. She is good. But no body can't do anything if the room is not good.

Location was convenient. An average place to stay on a roadtrip with limited Budget. Property was quiet. Room had a well worn look, but clean. Our heater didnt work in our 1st room. Staff quickly moved us to another. Neither room had smoke, damp or overly perfumed scents, (Those with smell sensitivities will appreciate that) There was a random desk chair outside on the walk way, but didnt notice tons of trash or anything. II free Breakfast is a primary reason for choosing this place, don't. We went in at about 0700ish. The OJ had a off flavor and was starting to get a fizz to it. They had instant oatmeal, but no bowels, hotwater or milk for it. Coffee was hot, and drinkable. There were dainsh, fruitcups, and yogurt. Sliced white bread (so we made sandwiches with PB&J from our cooler.) Straight up though, the quiet night was worth the stay. No loud trains, traffic or guest noises noted.

You get what you pay for. They advertised breakfast but it was a coffee and a bagel to go. They put us in the back 40. I did not feel safe. The stairs going up to the room were wobbly. The walls are very thin had to listen to the tv all next-door all night.

I paid for my room online. My ATM card (also the only credit card I have) was stolen in Las Vegas. When I went to check in, a very nice lady told me that I needed to give $100 deposit. I had $20 cash and was able to use Apple Pay from my account, but I was told that I needed to pay $100 with cash or card. The manager maybe (a man) was not helpful at all and said I would just lose my money if I couldn’t come up with the deposit. I was able to use my Apple wallet to withdraw money from an ATM. I was given a room in the very back building of the motel. I had a lot of trouble with the automatic door lock and it seemed to be malfunctioning. I just wanted to get into my room! The security lock was broken completely. (As a woman who was staying by herself, I felt extremely unsafe but did not want to deal with the man at the desk again so I did not ask for another room.) WiFi is advertised. I tried several times to access the motel WiFi. Finally, I spoke with Stephanie at tech support. After at least 30 minutes of troubleshooting, she determined that the WiFi access point I needed since I was in the back building had been out of order for weeks. No WiFi for me. It was about 110 degrees outside and the a/c kept going in and out despite being set on maximum. Cute towel animals, eco friendly products and toilet… I was also very sick with laryngitis and feeling terrible so maybe take with a grain of salt, but I’d sure appreciate some compensation.

Nothing against Hotels.com.... it's more of when I see a Wyndham named property.... I expect a level of quality.... i know i booked a cheap hotel for a quick trip.... however stained sheets... shower just ugly... real dingy room overall.... shoyld put the Wyndham name on that property...

The door was not fitting as if someone had kicked it open so we couldn't properly lock the door and the door wouldn't stay shut without the bolt lock.

Lights didn't work in my room. Had to navigate only by bathroom light. Housekeeping every 3 days or so. The guy who prepped the food was a wizard and really cool. Couldn't call the front desk at all, line disconnected. Had to argue with home office about after hours check in.

Great place, owners are very nice, small free breakfast. I would stay again

Staff is really attentive, the location is pretty good, silent great to relax. Rooms are good for the price, breakfast is less than continental but again for the price you cannot demand more.

Horrible! Stay away from this place! The lady at the desk was extremely rude. The whole place is filthy.

I was pleasantly surprised. It was an older Motel 8 but the room was clean and comfortable. My only problem was finding it since I wasn't looking for motel 8 and on one of the map apps it didn't have the location right.

Hide behind a different name when in reality it is a Super 8 hotel. Does not honor reservations and difficult to find as the name on the sign is Super 8 not Townehouse Barstow Route 66.

The hotel name had changed. Not reflected at time of booking, which is problematic.

This was a very reasonably priced motel conveniently located by freeways. The owner was very friendly, room was good enough, and there was even a decent continental breakfast. One pointer, though: the signage says Super 8, not Townhouse. Look for the address! I drove by it a couple of times. Not a big deal, but it's something to know ahead if time.

The area was a little sketchy, but the hotel was nice and clean,and staff was friendly. Nice for a quick stay

The front desk staff were super friendly and kind, it's just the property itself really wasn't nice at all. Not updated, litter (old keys) on the ground outside, and just sketchy overall, to me. I was exhausted upon arrival and it was fine for a place just to crash and sleep. The breakfast was lacking but the coffee was good.

This turned out to be a great little hotel. It was convenient, right off the freeway. The lady who checked us in was wonderful. And the continental breakfast was quite good. I would stay here again if I find myself in Barstow!

The room was clean and the bed comfortable , the connection to Internet was so weak that I couldn’t get a connection on my room. Breakfast was had only one type of pastry, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, juice and coffee

The front-counter guy was nice. Overall, good for the price. I wasn't expecting much out of the breakfast, but I ended up being VERY disappointed. Breakfast was so bad I didn't even eat it. There are stray cats near the property. One was dead and just lying there. It smelled like cat piss or worse. That's a line from jack twist, but it was true.

They only had 2 cribs available and they were both taken. Check in was slow. Breakfast was one type of pastry, fruit cups, yogurt, oatmeal (to make), coffee and boiled eggs. Not much to pick from or eat.
