I was told they are completely renovating this building. Well, I can tell you, it 100% needs it, sooner than later. Had to go out of building around the corner, through a parking lot and into another hotel owned by same owner just to get coffee. One staff was nice but the others looked like you were bothering them if you asked for assistance.

The location is downtown Beverly Hills off the main street (Wilshire). Small yet antiquated hotel. The neighborhood in the area is quaint and vibrant. There is a sister hotel that patrons may go to use the fitness center, pool and enjoy the restaurant. Again, the hotel is in need of upgrades however the mattress was excellent and the hotel representatives were helpful/respectful.

This hotel is changing ownership so it was not in top shape, paint was pealing, the hallway rug stained, a towel with a rip. The price and location were great, the bed was comfortable. The parking was an extra $45 a night, which was unfortunate and I don’t recall seeing prior to booking. Street parking isn’t possible due to parking laws in the neighborhood. The overnight staff wasn’t very warm and professional. The neighboring sister hotel offered free coffee and was so much nicer. Recommend Mosaic Hotel over this place. Had high hopes from the photos, but they were misleading.

The air conditioner in 106 rattles everytime the AC comes on. There was only 1 towl in the bathroom. The person working the front desk wasnt very friendly. We showed up early and was asked to come back at 3 but our room wasnt ready still. The pictures show a pool but it doesnt have one. Theres a "sister" hotel kind of kext to this one thst does and you can use it but you have to walk on the street to the other hotel. We travel alot and weren't impressed.

Parking $45 a night

Cute little hotel. Staff was very friendly and hotel was clean. It was pretty dated in the rooms and looked like some old school porn movies were made in there for sure. The carpet throughout the whole 2nd floor hallway was HORRID. Elevator was very tiny and not even sure if it’s even ADA compliant for a wheel chair. However, it was In a great location and did have a little fridge and microwave. If you’re looking for an inexpensive place to stay that’s not a motel 6 then this place will do the trick. Wouldn’t say it’s outstanding but definitely not bad. I’d stay there again.

This hotel is NOT a 4 star resort. The showers in the standard room are so small you cant close the door. The whole building is old and falling apart. No restaurant, bar is tint and closed Sunday's and mondays. The hallways are dark dusty and small. Would not recommend

Great location but the pool is a couple of parking lots away, which is not easy to access in swimming gear.

This place has lots of hidden costs. They charge $45 per day for parking and $35 per day for "Urban Bundle Fee". The carpets are dirty and worn to the point of rips and holes. When viewing the building from outside, the cloth awnings over the windows are ripped and torn & flap in the breeze. They offer NO services. There are no ice buckets in the rooms and no ice machine to get ice from. There is no food availabe on rhe premises, not enen morning coffee. I would not stay here again. I would have been more comfortable at Motel 6. At least they have a pool! There is not an automatic elevator, you have to open the door yourself. Very awkward when you have your hands full.

There is a terrible smell when you enter the hotel, the lobby desk paint is chipped and it felt sticky, the hall carpets are stained and bunched from age, the room carpet was shredded and torn at the bathroom entrance, the shower head could not spray all of the water since most was pouring out of the tub faucet because it was so old (like 50 years) - there was no coffee available in the hotel- I was told to go down the street to their sister property got the gym and coffee.

When I walked into the lobby I got hit with a hideous smell. Got my key to go to my room on the 2nd floor. The check-in gal told me I could use the dolly which was nice. Only problem was the dolly does not fit in the tiny elevator. Got off elevator, carpet looked like a CSI crime scene. Opened the door to my room & almost vomited from the smell. A NEW bad smell, much different & much worse than the lobby. It smelled like men's really cheap cologne. It was unbearable but I was running out to dinner and leaving early in the A.M. so I figured I'd deal with it and I told myself I would get used to it. I was wrong. The room itself is super tiny. Drapes looked like they were as old as the hotel. Broken & ripped. Lots of black mold in corners of tiny bathroom. Counter was filthy with unknown drips & stains. Sink was cracked like a spider web. 3 good items were a little fridge, cold window A/C, and friendly little bar when I returned from dinner. Yes it is inexpensive compared to most neighboring hotels, but they could absolutely do a lot better. I left hours ago and still can't get that bad cologne smell out of my nose!! :/ Worst hotel I ever stayed in.

The room was disgusting. Upon checking in we were in our room for 1 hour and packed our bags and walked out. On our way out staff was not up front and did not even care to wait to complain. The phones were filth. The carpet had all these random white stains that were disgusting, also on the comfortable. The towels had poop stains and that were fresh and had not been washed (we have pictures). The place was disgusting and a heath hazard. In the short time we were there we heard banging on the walls in the middle of the night. We had just driven from Arizona and were so disgusted we preferred to pack up, jump in our car and drive to San Diego at 1 AM. Don’t believe me? Check the yelp reviews and see what other people said. I have yet to write one my self. Not checking the reviews first was my mistake. I booked it at the last minute and I sure paid for that mistake.

I couldn't give 5 stars because there were multiple holes in our fitted sheet and the one was huge so there was no way it could've been missed. The room soda had a weird smell.

Nice location. No issues finding parking. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Carpets in the hotel were heavily stained. Bathroom had no ventilation and smelled musty. Hotel felt very European- old, small and compact. Bed was decent and the hotel was surprisingly quiet.

I stayed here a few years ago and loved it. This time, the hotel was runned down, bleach stains on the carpet, water smell in the hallway, trash that was never picked up when we checked in. I would not stay here again.

Got to my hotel room, pulled back the bed cover and saw stains on the bed sheet. Not sure how often they change sheets or if it was a stain that wouldn’t come out but that was pretty gross. Tiny bathroom. The decor is….interesting.

Location is great for my needs to be close to family. Front desk was accommodating for early check in so I could be ready to attend a family function. air condition/heat is an issue. There is no way to rest with the unit cutting on and off every 10 minutes. Its loud and smells musty. I turned it off the second night just to get some sleep, especially since i was traveling from another time zone.. Bathroom is super tiny and toilet paper holder is in your side and needs to be relocated. I can't imagine a big person staying in this room.

This is a nice place to stay and is affordable. However, the common areas are run down and dirty in some cases. The bar is nice and welcoming.

The lobby is beautiful but the rooms are more like a hostel.

The location is amazing. Interior is old, but classy. In some rooms the showers are adventures small and I do not know how an avarage overweight person shall fit in there....after all, I still like the price/performance!

The rooms were small but the bed was massive and super soft! I slept like a marshmallow each night super comfortable. Great location walking distance to all the great places and public transportation friendly as well.

The bed was really comfortable and the place was nicely furnished. The bar looked like it was going to be cozy but was still under construction. The carpet and drapes in the room were dated but I assume that will be updated after the renovation is complete.

Nice cozy room and it has elevator. Staffs were very kind especially, John. He borrowed his umbrella for my whole stay.

The front desk staff (Judy, Jen, Ariana) could not have been more helpful. They were most accommodating of my requests. The location is great, the parking fantastic. I will stay there again.

The standout was the staff. They were friendly, helpful and interested in the guests. From start to finish they stood out in every positive way.

Noisy air conditioning Front desk seemed like they were doing me a favor. They were courteous and did their job, but not much more. Room took an hour longer than check in time to be ready, and when I asked if check out was 11:00 am, I was told yes when it was actually 12:00. Other than that stay was fine.

The late afternoon front desk person was incredibly rude, not even a brief hello or even acknowledgement when we checked in— apparently in keeping with the quality of the hotel. Someone was actually changing clothes in the hallway when we arrived on the second floor, creepy. We left that same night for good at 6 pm and did not even want to engage the front desk for a refund.

The reception was sooooo long and incompetent. When you go to a hotel in Beverly Hills you expect at least to see welcoming people at the reception, competent and quick. The lady at the desk was so slow, there is another lady behind her to help her with a another customer. It took forever for the reception to take care of the other customer, and then to take care of my wife and I. It was every late in the evening and all we wanted was to be able to rest in our room. We finally got our room. And then we had to insist in the morning to have a later check out since we arrived so late the night before. We finally got our late check out but we had to insist. Unbelievable. They were just incompetent. Not mean, just incompetent. And not likable. No smile. No customer skills. Not the kind of service you expect from a Beverly Hills hotel.

This was genuinely bad. I came across this very rude front desk employee who was unable to pull up my reservation and was genuinely mean to me about it. Then I had to call Expedia customer support, who called the front desk right in front of me, and suddenly they found the reservation, and the employee made me feel bad about it, for some reason. The employee was also given me questionable looks for the rest of my stay whenever I passed by the front desk. Regarding the rooms, the toilet was running when I stepped into one of rooms, so the rooms are barely prepared for my arrival.

Great staff

The location is excellent. Classic old time Hollywood/LA hotel. It is not fancy, but it is classic. You can walk anywhere in Beverly Hills from there easily. You can drive anywhere in the entire valley easily.

Walkable close to shopping, salons, and restaurants. If your stay is short, no need to rent a car.

I came back to this hotel after checking into the Crescent by Sonder because that hotel was AWFUL. Maison 140 was like the Ritz Carlton compared to that dump. I will definitely be staying at Maison 140 again. Great location, great employees, close to everything in the golden triangle but on a quiet street with little traffic. A

Expect to pay a hundred dollars more than you thought, they charge a lot for parking and resort fee? Like they're in Vegas or something, not sure what the fee was for, the only thing I can think is free disgusting coffee that you had to walk 10 mins to to another start hotel

MY only complaint was the resort fee was not explained to us. This apparently covered pool access at their sister hotel which would have been nice. $25 per day for internet and not so great coffee not so nice.

This hotel is charming! Great bar, location and customer service. Although small, a bit dark, and some “gently used” areas, our family appreciated the tasteful decor and amenities. We made use of the bike rentals making our way to the nearby Roxbury park with kids as well as the pool/restaurant at the sister hotel in which everything was great! All staff (check-in, bar, housekeeping, etc) made our stay exceptional. Will certainly stay again in the future as the location/service/price combo is unmatched.

I wanted to find a decent hotel in Beverly Hills and found this place. Not a lot of amenities but had a bar downstairs. 3 floors of rooms with an elevator. Room was clean. Bathroom very nice. Best was so close to rodeo drive and west hollywood.
