The Crescent Hotel Beverly Hills

Awesome location right off Santa Monica Blvd. easy access by car or bus into Hollywood, Rodeo Drive or downtown. Room was very comfortable, albeit a little small for 2 adults and our luggage but it made us sort ourselves out early. No daily housekeeping, unless you pay but you can always get items that you run out of. Nua, the restaurant was always busy.

This was the second half of adjacent stays in the same hotel for a business trip. I requested to stay in the same room & was assured this wouldn't be a problem. I was told all I needed to do was request a new door code on the 1st day of the 2nd reservation. I did so & the new code did not work, but the old one continued to. Thinking I would be the only person to know that code, I notified the front desk but said that it was ok. The following evening at 2:40 am, someone came into my room using the code! They left, slamming the door! As a single female traveler, I couldn't sleep for the rest of the night. When I informed the front desk in the morning, William (props where they are due) did a good job of changing the code & ensuring the lock worked properly. I was never contacted by the property manager at all and I received no apology from management. I had to ask at the front when I returned after work to only be told that a guest of the hotel had used the original code to enter the room. THAT MEANS THEY REUSE DOOR LOCK CODES!! To add insult to injury, the following morning there was no water running in the building and no communication was shared to guests. AGAIN, I had to go to the front desk to inform the staff that there was no room to be told that it would be restored. AGAIN no apology was given. Unsafe and unacceptable. Never staying at this property again.

The hotel is located very close to the heart of Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive..it is beautiful and modern with an old hollywood charm..The staff is very helpful ..The Restaurant on property is amazing ..other great restuarants within walking distance.The Beverly Hills Sign and Park is within walking distance.

Havent visited this property in almost 10 years during college and its almost the same. You cant beat the location and after coming back i really understand why the younger me liked this place. Only thing i didnt like was the window unit which i didnt remember but honestly it was more an esthetic issue than an actual one. Plus parking is ACROSS THE STREET. Nothing beats the convenience of this place. This will definitely be my hotel anytime i stay in LA.

Didn't like the absence of a key to the room. Hated using codes instead. Give people keys. There will no problems then. Thank you.

Great staff! Good location but noisy at night and early morning. Multiple irons did not work Code did not work on checkin/ room was changed, minor inconvenience. Good value

First and new room were clean. Room code did not work for us, the person a head of us and the person after us. Room was not what i paid for. Desk guy was nice to move us to a sister property that was the right size but not where my daughter wanted location wise and both hotels have no elevator. Had to take suitcase up two flights of stairs and i have mobility issues.

Excellent location. Rooms are small and there’s no elevator. But it suited my needs perfectly and I would definitely stay again. Enjoyed feeling safe to walk around the vicinity at night.

Lights did not work. Could not close draperies without covering the AC unit. Room looked nothing like the photos pictured. No elevator so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs. Bathroom looked like a cement jail cell. Paint was splotched on the walls, chipped molding, drawers were hard to open and wouldn’t shut smoothly. Room was also much smaller than it looked in picture. You have to use their app to contact customer service and to check yourself in. Horrible experience!

Likes: Location, ease to airport, hot water. Downsides: Poor customer services / concierge, reservation system challenges - considerable time to resolve, digital key system buggy, accessibility is limited - lots of steps for entry and accessing second floor, towels dirty, showers poorly designed and mouldy.

Woke up in the morning only to realize our sheet and comforter were never changed and covered in blood stains from the previous guest...discusting

Very cool hotel to stay in. Huge beds with AC in the rooms. Room was clean & tidy. Bathroom was massive, kept in clean state.

As far as Beverly Hills goes - this property is cheap. So you need to bear that in mind when considering what you get for your money. Sonder are not traditional hotels so go in with your eyes open, however in saying that, every interaction we had with onsite staff was really good. The room itself needs some upgrading now, it’s reached the end of its time, flooring is damaged, light fixtures are missing parts etc. The room was however clean and super convenient.

The room was filthy. The bathroom had no ventilation and smelled of sewer. The door to the room did not lock. I have never walked into a hotel room like that in my life, let alone in Beverly Hills. We left immediately.

The water pressure was low. The bathroom fan was noisy. The bathroom faucet was too long, sink too small. The sofa bed was very dirty under cushions. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable and clean, and the room was spacious and modern. Very close to dining, entertainment, and sights which made it a good choice for an overnight stay.

The room was FREEZING to the point where I couldn’t sleep. I asked them to fix it, and there was no solution. The room was LOUD to the point where I was awakened numerous time throughout the night. Loud music from live bands - I felt like I was literally at the concert next door. It was torture.. The white noise machine could not block out bass guitar. It was December on a Monday and Tuesday. If they can’t control the temp in the winter, they probably can’t control the temp in the summer. I don’t recommend this hotel at all unless you have no other options or don’t care about not sleeping. I will not be back.

The area is great. There is a garage across the street. However, the room was tiny by any standard. The photographs are extremely deceptive. The room temperature on arrival was freezing and not adjustable. There is only a window air condition as in low-cost motel. The staff explained that the wall heating/cooling unit is only for show and had to give us a space heater. At night the small fridge cycled on 5 times at incredible volume and woke us up. We thought it was an alarm clock in an adjacent room and didn't realize until night #2 that it was the fridge. Staff were nice and said all the right things, but didn't really have solutions. Given the tiny room, street noise, and maintenance issues, we wouldn't stay again.

I would not recommend this hotel. The room that we were given was tiny, not very clean and had a very old window air conditioning unit. The main issue with our stay though was the noise. It was terrible and came from the room above. We could hear footsteps, slamming doors and toilets being flushed until late at night and then again at 4am in the morning when these guests checked out early. The soundproofing of the room that we had was terrible and we did not feel at all rested for our journey that we had ahead of us when we checked out after two nights. I don’t feel it was the guests above that were of issue but more that the hotel should not be renting out rooms if the noise travels like it does. It is not at all appropriate considering the price we paid. The only redeeming feature of the room hotel was the location.

Pros- Location was excellent. So close to walk to Rodeo Drive and surrounding district. Cons- Dont get the room above the restaurant. Extremely noisy, in fact so noisy the room comes with complimentary ear plugs.

This a cozy hotel, though it needs refurbishing and there was a big difference of quality between the room that was presented on expedia/hotels.com (deluxe/spacious) that I payed for and the one I got. I talked to the manager and they approved a refund for the fare difference between room types. The room is nicely decorated, but the sound isolation is bad, the window frames are very old that need cleaning on the outside and you can hear the toilet flushing from neighbors, also the AC and the fridge are very noisy. The bed is quite comfortable but a bit hard and creaks. The shower is not very comfortable and it takes a while until the water gets warmer. Also the aspect of the walls in the shower is not very attractive as it is just concrete. Maybe other room categories are better, but these were not available at this location at my arrival and I preferred not to change location. All that said, the personnel at the front desk are welcoming and quick to assist. They listened to my complains and were aware about the issues with an old building. The hotel is otherwise cozy and nicely decorated indirect connection to restaurant managed separately with a terasse where you can have breakfast, brunch,lunch or dinner. The location is perfect in Beverly Hills with possibility to take the bus no 4 to different sites such as Santa Monica Pier, Sunset Bl, Hollywood Bl in case you wanna skip a car rental that also costs you parking. Overall,I liked my stay despite the afore mentioned issue

loved staying at this historic hotel! it was so cute inside, the front desk staff was awesome and helped deal with our lost luggage when we had to go to a lakers game. the hotel is right off of rodeo and beverly drive, and when we woke up early because of jet lagged the front desk girl recommend us places to go that were open as early as we were. highly recommend!

the hotel had a modern feel. we stayed in the king room, it had a pull out couch for an extra guest. The room also had a refrigerator and a coffee/tea bar. The features of the room were much nicer than other hotels. The celebrity artwork a surprise to see. Bathroom was a nice size loved the concrete design. Staff were very friendly, immediately jumped up to help with our bags and showed us to our room. Valet was a decent price, even with the parking garage right across the street. Will Stay again :)

Stayed here in 2019 and loved it. This time around (fathers’s day weekend) our experience was not the same. For the price this place charges, you would expect some basic services, but that wasn’t available. Front desk folks for the most part were indifferent and talking to you like they are doing you a favor. There was only 1 helpful person. Rooms are outdated and in our room specifically toilet leaked extensively every time it was flashed. They did fix it pretty quickly though. Also, if you don’t mind the noise from the hotel restaurant and the outside, then this place is ok. Also, no room cleaning service, and you have to ask for towels etc. The only positive about this place was the location.

Beware of this property. I booked my stay through Expedia and, as expected, was fully charged for this stay at the time of booking. The day after I checked in at Sonder this facility charged me AGAIN for the same stay. Understand I did not provide Sonder with my credit card so the only way I can envision they got the information to charge my card, without my knowledge or permission, is from Expedia. Now I have no confidence that Expedia and/or Sonder have my credit card information available for other improper charges. Additionally, while I was on the phone with the Sonder rep I was told they would have to "investigate" this billing (understanding I gave them the dates of each charge and the amounts charged) despite the fact they admitted they were able to see I had paid Expedia as I had stated. When my discussion this Sonder representative was going nowhere I requested to speak with his supervisor and that request was REFUSED. Unless you want to pay double and have your credit card information at risk do not stay at any Sonder property......I am now working with Marriott to see if they can get this resolved so not sure if Marriott is to blame here, yet.

It was a very comfortable place to land after a hectic work-period. Grateful for the engaging staff and comfortable space!

No one at the front. Desk… they said they emailed me my password but didn’t find it. The room thermostat was off… the room was cold… finall the very good attendants Charlene came to our rescue. She brought us a space heater… there were only one power plug outlet… Charlene brought us a multi plug extension. TV doesn’t work… she tried and was not able to make it work !

Friendly staff and very accommodating with my change of plans.Veronica was so helpful and helped ease us from a stressful day!

Really disappointed by a few things. Wouldn’t make up the sofa bed for us despite knowing the room was sleeping 4 and we had no water one morning which made us late starting our day. Would probably as it was clean and an amazing location but wouldn’t rush back if I could find alternatives that also offer this

Great location to plenty of shopping, restaurants and tourist sites

The crescent was right next to rodeo drive which is in Beverly Hills. We found it to be very quiet and safe. All the reviews were bad so we were a little worried but we never had a problem with noise and the rooms were small but cute and all you needed. And you can’t beat the location! For the price it is a great deal/stay!

Great property. We had never stayed in a boutique hotel before. Fun experience. The restaurant associated with the hotel was delicious as well. We even saw fireworks that were going off on Rodeo Dr. That apparently only happens once a year!

I have been staying at the Crescent during stays in LA for the last two decades. It has always been a comfortable, friendly, welcoming small hotel with a unique character in the heart of Beverly Hills that is surprisingly affordable. The beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms, while small, everything you need, although there could be better water pressure in the shower. With the new ownership of Sonder, I'm not as wild by the fact that phone calls about reservations can no longer go to the desk but a central service. Far less personal. I am definitely not fond of the fact that there is no housekeeping during the stay and that if you don't clean your own room it costs an additional $40. As ever, though, the staff in the hotel itself and the Nua Restaurant are warm, wonderful and helpful. I stayed in what's nicknamed a bargain 'Itty Bitty Room' . with no space for a desk or chairs, but I was welcome to sit in the restaurant to work. The restaurant also has a lovely patio outside.and a good limited menu. Valet parking is a reasonable $35/night with, again, wonderful staff. Yes, I do highly recommend Crescent. I won't stay anyplace else while in town.
