Moonstone Landing

We had the upstairs oceanfront room. It was spacious & such a beautiful view. The main road is right in front of the property but the traffic never was an issue with noise. The spa on the property is very small but we were about to enjoy it mid afternoon & had it to ourselves. Will definitely visit this property again.

What a lovely place right on the water, convenient to restuarants, walkable to downtown and a great hot tub and gathering area at the back. We really enjoyed our stay and listening to the waves while we slept.

Extremely happy with stay! Spacious room, hard wood floors, hot water , plenty of towels , quiet room! Hot breakfast! Easy parking ! Great rate ! Close to Santa Barbara airport !

Great staycation. Hopefully the hot tub will be fixed on our next visit, otherwise absolutely perfect.

Right on the beach. Great walking trail. Quality room. Good value. Large room. Very comfortable and well maintained. Spa was nice. Only drawback,in downstairs room we hear the upstairs plumbing loudly.

The location is amazing! The room was excellent, we had a view of the beach and a fireplace in the room! The jacuzzi was dirty, but other than that, I have no complaints about this hotel. I will definitely stay here again.

Room was clean and near the beach and a couple of restaurants. Late night front desk person was friendly. No real place to enjoy the beach unless you had a room at the front, spa and outside seating area in the back away from ocean view.

Wonderful hotel. So nice that breakfast was included. This made things convenient. Loved our view, the ease with parking, and the staff were so courteous and nice.

Hotel faces the water and our partial view room had a great view. Parking was easy and room was large and clean. Staff were friendly. Highly recommend this hotel when in the area. We wished we had stayed another day.

The close vicinity to the wood plank paths by the ocean makes it very attractive and relaxing. The inn is very clean. We usually stay on the second floor, which has an easy ramp access. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is adequate.

The hotel was perfect – very clean and well-maintained. The ocean view from our room was absolutely stunning. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!"

Friendly staff and very clean property!

This qas my wife and I's 3rd trip to cambria. We love it there and go at least once a year. In all of our stays at various places this one was by far the cleanest and cozyiest of them all. The suite we stayed in had a gas fireplace wood floors an extremly confy king bed ss well as a patio with view of ocean across the street. Bathroom had both tub and shower. Staff was fruendly with daily cleaning service even on the weekend. We are already planning to stay here again next time.

Up on entering the room , the room was hot with a portable fan in there. It had a thermostat but was only for the heater , it had no a/c . Which caused the room to be uncomfortable during the day and early night. Also the blinds didn’t cover the bright light outside. The bed was comfortable. But with the heat and lighting wasn’t the best

My husband and I stayed two nights for our yearly anniversary trip and we were very pleased with our choice of hotel. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the view of the ocean was spectacular! It was close to restaurants and the beach was steps away. Check in was a breeze (no pun intended) and breakfast was just enough to get us by until lunch. If we ever visit Cambria again, Moonstone Landing will be our first choice!

Smooth and easy check-in, wifi worked extremely well, fantastic location and room was spacious and very clean. We booked an ocean view room which was awesome. The only issue was the noise coming from the 2nd floor. You could hear every footstep. When they showered or flushed, you could hear it, and it was loud. Next time I'll request the 2nd floor. Other than that, it was awesome.

TV didn't work first night. desk clerk the next morning had a less than sorry attitude. It did work the second night. Although it the remote was very difficult to use

Terrific location, beautiful setting. Only downside was walls are thin. We were in a first floor room & the people above us were walking around constantly from early morning to late evening

We frequent Moonstone Landing and Little Sur Inn and like to book the oceanfront rooms when budget permits. Disappointed that a 400 plus dollar a night room does not prove adequate WiFi to stream Netflix. Since this is a community that shuts down at 9 pm every night, it would have been nice to enjoy some streaming. The interface of their remote control is wonky and dated. Overall, great place to stay but owners could update the WiFi to be more comfortable for their guests. Front desk staff should have been more transparent about lack of capabilities but instead kept stalling and said maintenance would fix it.

Partial ocean view was overstated at best. Far window didn’t even open. Hard to get comfy in a room with just a fan.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Be aware that there isn’t any air conditioning, although there is a fan.

Hotel was clean and everything in the room was in good condition. The internet was dreadfully slow and was unprotected. Morning desk person was very rude to my wife.

After five years, my husband and I eagerly returned to Moonstone Landing, reminiscing about our previous fantastic stay. However, our recent experience was anything but pleasant. While the room and location still met our expectations, the treatment we received from the staff left a sour taste in our mouths. From the moment we arrived, the front office staff displayed a shocking lack of courtesy and professionalism. Instead of welcoming us warmly, they cut us off when we asked questions and seemed utterly inflexible when it came to any special requests or accommodations. The tipping point was when I needed a simple favor—a late checkout for an important work meeting. Despite our previous loyalty and the high cost of our room, this reasonable request was flatly denied. The next morning, I attempted to inquire about renting a more affordable room for my meeting, but before I could even finish my sentence, the front desk staff rudely interrupted me, stating they couldn’t assist with anything. This dismissive and disrespectful behavior is unacceptable, especially considering our previous positive experience and the high price of the rooms. I am deeply disappointed by the decline in customer service at Moonstone Landing. Needless to say, I will not be returning, and I will ensure that my family and friends are aware of the disappointing treatment we received.

Terrible! We were arrived a little bit late for breakfast close to 10am, the white woman kicked us out of the room when we eating and let us eat outside because she said the crew has to clean up! What a terrible experience!

During check-in my wife asked if there were any ocean view rooms and the employee said "you didn't choose an ocean view when reserving so there are no rooms". The room was very spacious and clean. Unfortunately it was also very warm and quite uncomfortable to sleep in. We did have a fan but it did little to ease the discomfort. When we went to the front desk to explain about the warm conditions were asked if we tried opening the window, which we obviously did during the night. As a result, we were given a 2nd smaller fan which also did little to help cool the room off. Overall, the front desk staff was not very friendly or accommodating. Given the multiple options for lodging on that street, we won't be staying there again.

Great location. Clean and friendly. Nice Breakfast bar, great muffins. Next door to The Sea Chest Oyster Bar, that was very convenient.

Convenient beachfront property. We have stayed here many times over the past several years. Great place to relax and enjoy walks along the beach boardwalk. Town is just a few minutes away by car.

This coastline and the town of Cambria is beautiful! Everything is centrally located if you want to walk to restaurants and do a little shopping. Or, you could drive about a mile up the road to the other side of the town for even more shopping and restaurants. I would love to go back! Hearst Castle is about a 10 min drive up the 1 too!

Close to the beachfront

Perfect location across Moonstone Beach (oceanfront). Great parking lot, rooms are clean and our room had a partial ocean view. Staff is nice. Light breakfast included. This was our 4th or 5th stay at Moonstone Landing.

Moonstone Landing is situated close to the boardwalk, to dining and a short drive to charming downtown Cambria. We love visiting here and look forward to our next trip to the Central Coast.

Right next to the ocean with its beautiful sunset. Boardwalk was convenient and great restaurants nearby.

The stay was overall good, being so close to the beach was amazing, there was a direct stairway across the street. No ac which I should’ve paid attention too in the description. Not bad at night but it did get pretty hot during the day. I went see if I could check in early and the housecleaning hadn’t begun to clean my room yet so that was a bit annoying, the clerk told me she could call me when it was ready but never called me so I checked in at the designated time. They advertise breakfast but it was literally just cold baked goods, packaged oats, cereal, and some milk/ juice so don’t expect anything fancy.

From sun up to sundown we loved Moonstone Landing. We started each day with breakfast. The most delicious Ollieberry danish, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, juice, and coffee options. Then we would take a walk on the beach. We’d return in the afternoon to delicious cookies. The hot tub is nice! The rooms are spacious, have a comfy bed, and each have a fireplace.

Great place on Moonstone Beach. Rooms are large and comfortable. Continental breakfast was more than adequate - the pastries were awesome. Staff were friendly and helpful. Right next to Sea Chest, so convenient to get in line ;-)

The place is nice, the view is fantastic, and the room is nice and comfortable. However, the service we received did not justify the amount we paid for the room. Specifically, the mattress was very uncomfortable, the pillows were small and worn out, and we woke up daily with back and neck pain. The website promised breakfast, but the "breakfast" was quite pathetic and minimalistic. You must eat outside. In summary, this pricy hotel was disappointing; we expected more.

The breakfast was very good with plenty of items to choose from. Everything tasted fresh. The employees work very hard to keep everything clean . Everyone was friendly and the location by the beach is terrific. We will be back!
