Best Western Plus Beach View Lodge Carlsbad

Loved my stay. Place was clean and staff was helpful. Really enjoyed relaxing on the deck in the evenings. The hotel has a beautiful view right across the street from the beach. I took the coaster train from SD to Carlsbad and it was a 3 block walk from the train station. It’s on a main road and close to the train station but I found the hotel to be really quiet. Breakfast was good had an assortment of pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, cereal, pastries, yogurt. Coffee and tea available all day in the lounge. A quick walk to many restraints and shops. Would definitely stay again.

Our room had a balcony with a beautiful beach view. Breakfast was included and offered mostly the basics, but everything was fresh, so really no complaints there. The view while eating breakfast made it even better. The only downside was the parking, but that’s pretty typical for California, especially near the beach. Parking on the property is $44 per night, though street parking is free. Plus, if you’re heading to the beach, you get VIP parking right at the front of the street. We really loved our stay and will definitely be coming back.

Beach view is wonderful & Staffs are very nice. A little bit old, window type AC & parking too narrow, otherwise nothing to complain

Hotel is steps away from Carlsbad State Beach and two restaurants. Breakfast was adequate. Room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Partial ocean view off the balcony was not worth the extra room cost because the balcony is located on the street side right across the street from a large hotel resort. In the future will request inside courtyard room as it is located away from street traffic. Only disappointment was that the hotel charges $23/night for parking. We have never had to pay for parking at a Best Western property. Also the Amtrak train runs through the town.

I loved everything about this hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Also, they had an amazing indoor/outdoor seating area with a view of the ocean. On top of that, the beach, shops, and restaurants were in walking distance. Finally, the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend this property.
