Very disappointing to say the least. The only positive about this hotel is the room size. The rest of the hotel is well below average. Very stale and unwelcoming! Compared to other 5 star hotels we've been to in KL, this hotel feels like they are working on a very stringent budget due to lack of staffs looking after the guests, limited options for breakfast and very stingy with the amenities ie shampoos, conditioners, shower gel etc. Location of the hotel is away from any shops or convenience stores and restaurants which made it very inconvenience for us guests. Thank goodness for the Food Panda Delivery! Although it was stated in their website that they offer a free shuttle service 2x daily to Mid Valley Megamall, but upon check in when we inquired, we were told that service is no longer provided, however they have failed to update us upon booking. This is very deceiving. We will definitely not stay here again!

The facilities are pretty old. doesn't look like a five-star hotel. The breakfast is so so.... Also, the transportation is not convenient, I call Grab all the time when I need to go out.

Building itself was fine, rooms we clean and comfortable and reception staff was doing a good job. But all restaurants in overall were really really bad. 1/10. quality of the food, speed of the service and sometimes lack of the basics service skills was not even close to what you would expect from Wyndham. As a just one example, bolognese sauce was made mainly of cartilage, instead of meat. Unfortunately there is not any other place for dinner in walking distance.

This is probably the least welcoming and warm high end hotel I have ever stayed at. Staff was not unfriendly but they just didn't seem to care. Receptionist sitting on his phone, not looking up when asked a question. Receptionist not at the desk. English level generally very low which made communication - especially over the phone - very hard. I felt ignored. Being so far away from home I fully expect being taken in with warmth and attentiveness when I arrive at the hotel each day from my outings. This didn't happen. I ordered the breakfast buffet but the people at the buffet weren't informed. When I asked them to check again they did and, of course, found out that I had paid the night before. They didn't give me a "we're sorry for the misunderstanding" or anything. Staff at the breakfast buffet didn't smile, didn't make you feel welcome. The only exception was a very kind, young woman who, for no apparant reason, gave me a 20 % discount the second and last time I bought the breakfast buffet. SHE smiled and was kind and made me feel actually seen as a guest. If only I had asked her name... And then this: I found a cockroach in my bathroom. It was alive. I have pictures of it and I know it's a cockroach because I'm a biologist. Now, cockroaches are ubiquitous in the tropics but I stayed at the 20th floor of a "5 star" hotel. This speaks volumes about the level of pest control. If you want a warm and welcoming atmosphere I can't recommend Wyndham Grand Bangsar.

Firstly, I must commend the hotel’s cleanliness and spaciousness — the rooms were well maintained and comfortable. However, I was very disappointed with the breakfast service. Upon check-in, I had requested breakfast to be included for both my rooms, including one for my elderly grandfather and other for my business partner. We were truly looking forward to it, as five-star hotel breakfasts are usually a highlight of the stay. Unfortunately, on the morning of 24 October, most of the food was cold and unappetising. When I approached the F&B manager, there was no apology or sense of concern — he simply asked the chef to reheat the food in front of me. That is certainly not what I would expect from a five-star property. I later spoke with the Assistant Duty Manager, Lynn, who handled the matter with much more professionalism and empathy. She listened patiently, acknowledged my feedback, and assisted with my refund request, which I truly appreciate. This is a beautiful property with great potential, but the breakfast team, especially the manager, would benefit from proper training in hospitality and guest relations. A little care and attentiveness can make a huge difference in turning a disappointing experience into a memorable one.

Check in was a bit stressful, because itnwas written they accept check in only until 22:30 and we were expecting to arrive at 0:00h. It was also problematic that they were not answering the phone when calling... But when finally they did pick up the phone, they confirmed they will wait for us. And once there it was 5 stars service - helped to get the luggage to the room and the room was very clean and comfortable. So all in all we were happy but do recommend the management to switch to a 24/7 reception - this is at the end a 5 stars hotel.

Was racially profiled by staff upon check in. Was told I had to pay extra taxes for “tourism” but I’m a Malaysian resident. Aside from that the room was fine, bathroom was a bit dirty so were the towels.

During this period , I am totally book three room with my friends. But below points areakr us very disappointed. 1) The bathroom lighting very dark. 2) The water not hot enough 3) The pillow not comfortable 4) The F&B service very very BAD . The chef not polite and the attitudes seems looking down Asian. rejected request food, the food standard not stable, only the coffer machine is good. Even the fresh juice area are not refill in well .

This is probably the least welcoming and warm high end hotel I have ever stayed at. Staff was not unfriendly but they just didn't seem to care. Receptionist sitting on his phone, not looking up when asked a question. Receptionist not at the desk. English level generally very low which made communication - especially over the phone - very hard. I felt ignored. Being so far away from home I fully expect being taken in with warmth and attentiveness when I arrive at the hotel each day from my outings. This didn't happen. I ordered the breakfast buffet but the people at the buffet weren't informed. When I asked them to check again they did and, of course, found out that I had paid the night before. They didn't give me a "we're sorry for the misunderstanding" or anything. Staff at the breakfast buffet didn't smile, didn't make you feel welcome. The only exception was a very kind, young woman who, for no apparant reason, gave me a 20 % discount the second and last time I bought the breakfast buffet. SHE smiled and was kind and made me feel actually seen as a guest. If only I had asked her name... And then this: I found a cockroach in my bathroom. It was alive. I have pictures of it and I know it's a cockroach because I'm a biologist. Now, cockroaches are ubiquitous in the tropics but I stayed at the 20th floor of a "5 star" hotel. This speaks volumes about the level of pest control. If you want a warm and welcoming atmosphere I can't recommend Wyndham Grand Bangsar.

Upon check-in, I had requested breakfast to be included for both my rooms, including one for my elderly grandfather and other for my business partner. We were truly looking forward to it, as five-star hotel breakfasts are usually a highlight of the stay. Unfortunately, on the morning of 24 October, most of the food was cold and unappetising. When I approached the F&B manager, there was no apology or sense of concern — he simply asked the chef to reheat the food in front of me. That is certainly not what I would expect from a five-star property. I later spoke with the Assistant Duty Manager, Lynn, who handled the matter with much more professionalism and empathy. She listened patiently, acknowledged my feedback, and assisted with my refund request, which I truly appreciate. This is a beautiful property with great potential, but the breakfast team, especially the manager, would benefit from proper training in hospitality and guest relations. A little care and attentiveness can make a huge difference in turning a disappointing experience into a memorable one.

Was racially profiled by staff upon check in. Was told I had to pay extra taxes for “tourism” but I’m a Malaysian resident. Aside from that the room was fine, bathroom was a bit dirty so were the towels.

A wonderful experience! The young lady and the young man at the reception desk were super nice and welcoming. The young man who assisted us with our luggage, to sit at the cafe, and guided us to our taxi, was the final Grand Bangsar superb touch.

Very disappointing to say the least. The only positive about this hotel is the room size. The rest of the hotel is well below average. Very stale and unwelcoming! Compared to other 5 star hotels we've been to in KL, this hotel feels like they are working on a very stringent budget due to lack of staffs looking after the guests, limited options for breakfast and very stingy with the amenities ie shampoos, conditioners, shower gel etc. Location of the hotel is away from any shops or convenience stores and restaurants which made it very inconvenience for us guests. Thank goodness for the Food Panda Delivery! Although it was stated in their website that they offer a free shuttle service 2x daily to Mid Valley Megamall, but upon check in when we inquired, we were told that service is no longer provided, however they have failed to update us upon booking. This is very deceiving. We will definitely not stay here again!

The facilities are pretty old. doesn't look like a five-star hotel. The breakfast is so so.... Also, the transportation is not convenient, I call Grab all the time when I need to go out.

Building itself was fine, rooms we clean and comfortable and reception staff was doing a good job. But all restaurants in overall were really really bad. 1/10. quality of the food, speed of the service and sometimes lack of the basics service skills was not even close to what you would expect from Wyndham. As a just one example, bolognese sauce was made mainly of cartilage, instead of meat. Unfortunately there is not any other place for dinner in walking distance.

During this period , I am totally book three room with my friends. But below points areakr us very disappointed. 1) The bathroom lighting very dark. 2) The water not hot enough 3) The pillow not comfortable 4) The F&B service very very BAD . The chef not polite and the attitudes seems looking down Asian. rejected request food, the food standard not stable, only the coffer machine is good. Even the fresh juice area are not refill in well .

Staff are exemplary, very helpful and polite ,choice of breakfast is amazing. Nice spacious room and the bath tub is a bonus . Very nice swimming pool not to cold . Me and my partner really enjoyed our stay and where sad to leave but we will definitley be back

The property was good and very well maintained. Only issue I had was with checkin time which they kept saying was 3pm where as Expedia website said it was 2pm I got it sorted and did all formalities at reception and came back for checkin to again go through same process of explaining to a new receptionist. Check in was such a hassle after that it was quite nice

This hotel was really gone downhill over the last hl few years. Now it caters to big groups and the conference facilities. My room was fine but I had to ask a couple of times to get it cleaned. The bathroom always smelled like pee. All of the staff seemed new and didn’t know how to do anything. The breakfast items seemed to be always depleted and the bar area was closed for renovation. I ordered room service twice and both times it was barely edible. And I had one of the worst massages of my life. I would avoid this hotel!!
