The pool was green and full of some sketchy people. The room smelled of cigarettes and the paint was chipped. The comforter had cigarette burn holes, and the tub had cigarette burn marks. Also the door was dirty. Mattress was uncomfortable. And I was scared of someone possibly breaking into my car.

Well, where to begain, the room, the floors were stained, there were burnt marks on thr tub, and they don't give you enough Washclothes. Hand towels, also the rooms lights wefe really dim. Thr parking was good. But the pool nreededto bd cleaned. Besides all that it was close to where we had to go.

The staff was insulting and tactless. The TV and fridge in the room did not function properly. When politely requesting an additional set of towels, we were begrudgingly brought a singular extra full-size towel. The hotel was decently cleaned, but they're were cobwebs, stains on the carpeting (questionable ones), and off colored blankets. I really wanted them to have something redeeming about the stay, but it really just kept getting worse. Our room was never serviced for the two nights we stayed. Then, when checking out, the staff were nowhere to be found and were more interested in keeping their earbuds in instead of having a conversation about our room. We also stayed in mid-May, and the weather was suitable for swimming, as the entire time we were in Corning, it was 80+ degrees daily. The pool was closed with no warning. Overall the staff is rude, the rooms are okay at best, and the cleanliness is mediocre.

The room we stayed at had a lot of cockroaches. When we told the lady at the desk the property owner got really upset and accused us of lying. She said someone must’ve brought them in. We asked for a refund or discount and she refused. Never coming back to this hotel.

The surface areas were clean, but the carpet was filthy. Have not stayed in a hotel where they've been this dirty. There were a couple different kinds of bugs. Not sure what they were. There was no phone in the room so no help in an emergency or to call the desk. Except for check in Did not see anyone at the desk or I would have complained to them. Will not stay at another Super 8!

Traveling through and needed a place to rest. This is a 2 star and don’t expect much more. The bed was clean and comfortable. Not much of a continental breakfast. Shower was good but the place is older and could use an update. It was an ok to get some sleep and move on.

The super 8 was adequate. Initially overall appeared clean tho sheets were thin and pillows oddly small. Mattress hard. AC was very loud and located oddly in the bathroom. I requested house cleaning service which consisted of removing used towels, and not replacing them, and giving me a new bar of soap ( the old one had been used once) The bed was not made, room not vacuumed, counter and shower not cleaned that I could tell.

Room was under stairs, dark entry, right across from ice machine that leaked and water pooled in front of door way. Had to step around to get into the door. Bed was well used, but did the trick for a one night stay. Advice... spend more for good towels, bedding and newer beds.

We went with Super 8 motel because they usually have pools. We were a little apprehensive about the pool because it was outside. But once we got closer we realized it was just fine. There were plenty of food options close by. We went to the food vendor, the food was worth the money! The room was so comfortable and clean. There was also plenty of room to move around. We usually get in each other’s way…and there are only 4 of us.

It was fine...room was big enough...and comfortable. Nice air conditioning . The bathroom door gets stuck and hard to open...lots of dirt on them...would be helpful to have fresh paint job to make it look nicer. Carpet had stains and found they seemed dirty. I dropped something on the carpet and wiped them and dirt was on the rag. Recommend good carpet cleaning twice a year. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was basic...would be nice if there was real orange juice and hardboiled eggs

Horrible and filthy. Guy refused to give me a downstairs room because of my bad knees. Even offered to show him my disability placard. He didn't care. Wanted to "save" the downstairs rooms for other "possible" customers that never came. First room stunk of someone smoking pot. Like they had JUST been in there. So much for "non smoking". Refused to stay in there. Second room, no working TV. Took 4 rooms to finally get a working TV to watch the game. Both the bath and bathroom sink blocked. Everything was just dirty and smelly. I would highly recommend finding a different hotel in the area.

I forgot my car and house keys in the hotel room when I checked out. Five calls over the next six days resulted in knowing that the cleaning person found my keys, but no one would mail them to me. Finally, when I contacted the hotel manager upon hearing my name, she hung up on me. I had to ask the CEO of the business I was visiting in Corning, CA to retrieve my keys and mail them to me.

This place was terrible. Worst hotel experience of my life and I have been blessed to have travelled the world. The front desk guy for day shift was absolutely the worst. After first night of stay we came back to a dirty un-housekeeped room. I asked same snarky day shift front desk guy and he said that I had to "ask" for housekeeping on three night stay... REALLY???? Then they shorted us on towels and I had to ask repeatedly for extra towels. If you want a smoky, smelly breakfast area and badly musty/smelly room then this is your place! The only positive was front desk person for night shift 11:00 pm to 11:00 am named Seeran and he was very kind and helpful! I would hire him in a second for our business.

Neither lamp in the room worked properly. One lamp didn’t work at all, the other you had to screw and unscrew. We overlooked that since we were too tired from traveling. The real issue was the smoke detector that went off at 2:30 in the morning, it wasn’t super ear piercing loud but enough to wake up the kids up. The issue was finding it. It was not mounted to the ceiling. I found it shoved in the back corner of a shelf. This is a huge safety issue, NO working smoke detector!!!!!! When I told the front desk person our issues he told me I needed to plug in the lights to work. Do you not think we tried that, he was sure that was the issue and just blew it off. Then I told him my main concern and didn’t care at all and didn’t even address it. Basically just blew me off. Needless to say I was very upset, me and my husband were traveling with 2 grandchildren. No working smoke detector that someone just shoved away on a shelf. Very disappointed in the front counter person in how it was handled. I would be surprised if the smoke detector got replaced.

Neither lamp in the room worked properly. One lamp didn’t work at all, the other you had to screw and unscrew. We overlooked that since we were too tired from traveling. The real issue was the smoke detector that went off at 2:30 in the morning, it wasn’t super ear piercing loud but enough to wake up the kids up. The issue was finding it. It was not mounted to the ceiling. I found it shoved in the back corner of a shelf. This is a huge safety issue, NO working smoke detector!!!!!! We went with Super 8 motel because they usually have pools. We were a little apprehensive about the pool because it was outside. But once we got closer we realized it was just fine. There were plenty of food options close by. We went to the food vendor, the food was worth the money! The room was so comfortable and clean. There was also plenty of room to move around. We usually get in each other’s way…and there are only 4 of us.

It was fine...room was big enough...and comfortable. Nice air conditioning . The bathroom door gets stuck and hard to open...lots of dirt on them...would be helpful to have fresh paint job to make it look nicer. Carpet had stains and found they seemed dirty. I dropped something on the carpet and wiped them and dirt was on the rag. Recommend good carpet cleaning twice a year. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was basic...would be nice if there was real orange juice and hardboiled eggs

The room was clean enough but definitely showing its age and needing to be upgraded. It was nice to have a mini fridge and microwave (didn't use) but the coffee maker made a dirty cup of coffee and the TV is small with low volume. The continental breakfast had more options than some do, but the waffle batter was bad and tasted sour. The staff seems to be very helpful however.

Traveling through and needed a place to rest. This is a 2 star and don’t expect much more. The bed was clean and comfortable. Not much of a continental breakfast. Shower was good but the place is older and could use an update. It was an ok to get some sleep and move on.

It started with the sink not draining and the rug stains were everywhere. This morning we found out the towels were not clean and then I found a hole in the bathroom door. When I took my shower the tub made some serious cracking noises like it was leaking but couldn’t really tell because of the stains on the bottom of the tub. Breakfast was dry cereal or oatmeal packs that looked like an animal had gotten into them. Also old apples and bagels. Overall I would never recommend this place without a major overhaul.

The continental breakfast had only cereal, bagged oatmeal, and a waffle maker with no batter. No fruit, bagels, eggs, muffins, or danish. Very very poor. There was pee on the outside of the toilet. Every time we wanted to turn on the tv the manager had to come and do it. The tv picture had a band going through it. Overall really poor experience.

The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They are in the process of cleaning up from poor management in the past. It is a huge improvement from prior management. Great breakfast and clean rooms. We will stay there next time we are in Corning.

We checked in at 3pm. Our assigned room was not ready. The front desk clerk was suppose to give us a different key for a different room, he asked me to come down and pick it up. The bathroom was not that clean. There was paper on the floor, hair and ants. No butter available for waffles, or even jam. Could not get HBO (as advertised).The exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work. Could not plug in the lamp on the desk (so many others things were plugged in the outlet). After we arrived home there was a message on the phone stating that we left items in the room and that our check out was for Sunday when we paid for an extra day, making our check out Monday.

They were pretty friendly and had a pet area. There were dead animals in the parking lot. The room we stayed in could use a deep clean. There were dirty smudge marks all over. A drain plug for the tub that fit would be nice. The bed was incredibly comfortable.

Check-in was quick and the staff were friendly. However, the room was left unlocked when we entered. Inside, the bed was fine, but the top hard cover sheet looked like it was about to fall apart and could use replacing. The carpet was dirty—you could feel it walking barefoot, and stepping into the bathtub with the grime underfoot was unsettling. The dining table was sticky, and the portable AC/heat unit only had the AC working, with knobs so loose we feared they might fall off. This Super 8 Motel felt more cheap than super.

The place is old, spider webs in the room, weird smells, the fridge froze all of our drinks, the motion sensor woke everybody up each time somebody went to the washroom. Breakfast was terrible: apples with soft spots, large containers with Philadelphia spread that did not look very good, coffee was pre-sweetened. The pictures online look great but you will be disappointed, especially at the price point of the room. Charging $60/night would be more in line with the experience.
