Juniper Springs Resort

The upkeep of the property shows some lack of details, such as the master bath's shower special turn-on instruction, other bath's shower handle being loose, no room heating control instruction. And the jets on 2 of the 3 spas didn't work.

Covered parking garage is accessed via key card entry. Lockers for ski gear so you don’t have to haul it up to your room - required. If bringing bikes, must use bike locker inside parking garage that is a chain linked room accessed by keycard entry. Beds were comfortable, kitchen fully equipped with pots and pans. Lovely stay!

Each condo is individually decorated and have variable views from the balconies. The staff was very helpful in assisting us to obtain a room with a better view than we originally had.The room was clean and comfortable. We made use of the heated pool and spa but only 2 of the three spas were open and the jets didn't work in the one in which we sat. The facility could use some updating but over all we were pleased.with our stay.

Great stay. Really enjoyed the heated pool

Been wanting to stay here for a while since it's mountain adjacent for skiing - glad we got to stay here at a very discounted rate during the summertime to check it out. The hallway ceiling on the first floor is low, dimly lit and feels tired. We checked into a 2-bedroom corner condo which was nicely appointed for the kitchen which we did use to it's full capacity. We were glad to have the opportunity for access to the patio, but unfortunately it was not furnished for us to take advantage of sitting outside to enjoy the fresh air. The staff were very accommodating & helpful and the maintenance staff were very responsive when we brought an issue to their attention shortly after we checked in. The property does have underground parking, but it's not directly accessible from inside the hotel. There are a lot of pools to choose from as well as a combo coffee / gift store which is handy (when it's open). In summary, our curiosity has been satisfied and we'll be looking to stay elsewhere during the ski season for the rates they normally charge.

The room was great for a large family . The parking is difficult. You can only park one car in the garage so if you stay in the Suncoast building you have to walk far to other vehicles. Was just very inconvient if you needed something from the car in the evening.

Pros: clean, straightforward check in/out, good costumer service, comfortable bed, heated pool and hot tub/jacuzzi, cold water in lobby available, big kitchen for a condo, good water pressure, cold refrigerator, near all the Mammoth park shops/eateries/lakes, secure parking garage Cons: No AC and as a female staying on 1st floor I didn’t want to leave window and/or open. They did have a box fan for use that helped a little. Dated interior, but it was clean so that was fine, no ceiling fans so someone like me who struggles regulating body temperature may be uncomfortable, thin scratchy towels Notes: each condo is individually owned per front desk, no breakfast included, no pets allowed, resort fee charged per night plus deposit for room Would start again and request a non-first floor next time

Room was clean but TV kept going in and out losing connection and the fireplace did not work. Was disappointed because really wanted to have the fire going for our stay and one of the reasons we chose this booking. Hot tub jets did not work either in the sunstone building where we were. So felt like most of the amenities we paid a resort fee for, weren’t working. Free parking was nice.

I wish the gym was updated and more hours to the coffee shop. Overall a great stay though. It was clean, quiet, and had good parking.

Amazing 5 Star. Only issue was the fire pit was down. Other than that, absolutely love this place. Will be back in the future! Can’t beat the stocked kitchen, just bring food and drinks. Mountain views from our balcony was top notch. A deer was down below us eating grass. The heated pool and hot tub are A+ in the crisp Mtn air. My son asked if we could live here! They even lent us a board game one evening.

Very clean property. Rooms are well stocked and clean. Beds are comfy. Parking is underground, private and heated. Checking in was easy. Receptionist was really nice and friendly. We had a beautiful view from our room and the windows open to allow fresh air in. Property is a little older but it adds to the charm. We loved it here and will come back when it’s time to ski. A ski lodge, lift and rental facility are steps away from the hotel.

Loved our stay here. Our first room overlooked the ski lift. We asked to change room-no quibbles. New room had spectacular view over the town. Very well equipped for self catering-kitchen could do with an upgrade. All very clean. Lovely pool and hot tubs. Great trips around the area and up to Yosemite. Highly recommend.

We stayed at Juniper Springs Resort on August 31st for what was supposed to be a 2-day stay, but it turned into a nightmare. The first night, we discovered a mouse (possibly even a rat) in our room, which made it impossible to get any sleep. When we reported it, the management refunded the second night since we canceled, but only gave us 30% off the first night—even though we spent the whole night uncomfortable and disturbed. For a place that calls itself a “resort,” this was extremely disappointing. The experience felt more like staying in a low-end motel than anything close to a 3-star or higher property. Cleanliness and basic comfort should be the minimum standard, and unfortunately, Juniper Springs Resort failed on both. I would not recommend staying here.

Clean room

Staff did not have the. authority to move us after we found a dead mouse. Multiple screens were broken. Not only we had to put up with the smell, wasted all morning trying to figure out our plan. We were able to cancel rest of the stay but charged for the night less fees/taxes. This used to be a favorite but not anymore. So sad...

Outside looks great but the interior is something else. Kinda outdated and the dining chair cushions are all ripped. There was a very visible stain on the bedsheets and we asked housekeeping to change it. She came over with new sheets and initially just placed the sheets on the bed. I guess she saw my facial expression and asked me if I wanted her to change it. Huh??? Isn't that your job??? Overall, not very impressive and not going back.

Beautiful and convenient location. Front desk was very helpful and efficient. My room had wires hanging out of the tv and wasnt functioning. Called and got that taken care of. Id asked for housekeeping daily but only had service one day out of the five i was there. I was told by the desk that there was only one housekeeper for the complex and to be patient. The one day i did get service, she came at 6:00 pm. Im not sure if its a normal situation or just a temporary shortage of housekeepers.

Stayed here April 26th through the 28th. Hayden at the front desk was friendly and very energetic! He also gave recommendations on dining! The room was cute, the only thing was when we went into the bathroom it smelled like pee. Opened the toilet seat and there was pee in the toilet. Also checked the bedding out ( I always do when checking in) there was what looked like a stain on the sheet. So I asked housekeeping for a new one. Once I removed the sheet there was another stain in the exact same place but more visible! Idk if the sheets were changed or just straightened up before we checked in. I used to work in housekeeping so I know sometimes the bedding isn’t always changed out which is why I always check. Called down to front desk, spoke with Hayden again, he apologized and sent housekeeping up with new linen. Other than that it was a good time.

The room needs some refreshing.. there is odor probably from spoiled food from the previous guest?

Nice hotel, but no ac. Was a little hot in august.

First off, the staff was great. the front desk was friendly and explained everything thoroughly. The views from the townhome were amazing, no issues there. The condition and appearance of the townhouse was a combination of off putting and bizarre. The carpets were tiger stripes and fairly dirty. The layout of the townhome was cramped with too many furniture pieces for the space, for example, the bedroom had a chest of drawers where the bed made the bottom half inaccessible. It was simply too large for the room. There was missing molding in the upstairs bathroom. There were no instructions on how to operate the fireplace. The phone did not work and I could not dial the front desk. The throw pillows on the sofa were soiled. All in all, the property is in desperate need of a redesign and a freshening up.

First person that checked us in didn't listen to our requests and assigned us to a loud room due to people in the pool. Second person was incredibly nice. This property DOES NOT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING. I don't see any mention of this in the booking information. Staying here in the summer has its challenges and is not very convenient to food and entertainment. Was disappointed with the cafe's prices, felt like I was being gouged again because of the location. Sorry to say, I won't be coming back here.

I booked on Expedia but the unit we got was totally different from what the photos showed. I asked if I can be given the renovated studio I booked but the answer was that it was not available anymore (!). Instead, I was offered another dated unit. This is a property which falsely advertises the photos. The unit was clean but dated. Old furniture and cabinets worn out. Also, beware there is no AC and it gets hot in the rooms. We slept with windows open. Surrounding area is beautiful. There is a free tram into town.

Excellent location! Spacious condo with very comfortable beds.

Great place to stay especially if you plan to do your own cooking. The room has full kitchen with all utensils needed. Comfortable bed with nice ceiling fan to keep cool.

Room was a little dated but was still good. Underground parking is narrow but all parking in Mammoth is a bit of a challenge.

unlucky to get terrible service from one of the staff

Tried different hotels throughout the years but after finding juniper springs, I fell in love. Take my wife here and now our 1 year old son as well. Unfortunately this time we visited it wasn’t so pleasant, at least from staff. I noticed my deposit didn’t process when I first booked, so I called juniper to correct that but they told me to call Expedia cause they couldn’t process themselves since it was booked through Expedia. I then call Expedia and they said they’d get it settled for me, continued with our call and an agent told me we’re good for booking, I asked if I needed to put my deposit in still but they told me we were all good for full payment when checking in. When I arrived after a 7 hour drive to check in, they couldn’t find my reservation. Other front desk worker told me they cancelled my reservation since I didn’t pay my deposit. I then tried explaining to them that I called both parties multiple times to try to get that resolved and that juniper told me to call Expedia after trying to pay that deposit. She kept rudely telling me “you didn’t pay, you didn’t pay” and then to book at front desk if I wanted to. Worker that was initially helping me told me to book through Expedia again for points, thankfully he was being as helpful as he could be. Wasn’t too pleased with the other worker considering the fact that we love this place and she wouldn’t let me explain myself without being rude, I was left with no options when trying to pay the deposit.

Great customer service, the gentleman at the fron desk (sorry didn't get his name) was very nice and helpful, he showed us how to get around Mammoth. He took the time to explain on a map on how to get around on public transportation and new places to visit. We also got a very nice room upgrade! Will definitely stay there again.

Her genuine kindness set the perfect tone for our visit. The 2-King room/condo is big, well equipped, two nice bathrooms, pretty much all you need. But the best part was the stunning view!! (see the pic). We stayed at the Sandstone building and weather was cold. To much of our surprise, they have covered parking! I loved that! Front desk was always super courteous, helpful and friendly. Keep it up, Manny! The few cons: one of the windows didn't close completely so we had to hold it tight with a cutting board. And the blinds are heavy and get stuck easily. They need to be upgraded. I would definitely stay here again. What sold me was the view, the customer service and the size of the room.

JSR was an awesome place to stay!!! The front desk staff was amazing! Georgia was great!!!! The housekeepers were amazing cleaning up the room! Overall, 5 stars! We are definitely staying there again!

Nice stay, close to lakes

We had a great stay with our kids at Juniper Springs . The close walk to the ski lift was fabulous. We were able to cook breakfast & dinner in our room & enjoy the jacuzzi at night ! We will definitely be back !!

The condo complex is placed right next to the Eagle Lodge. The area is quiet and not far from main areas of Mammoth.

Great location.

Enjoyed a week at this property in early September. The location is excellent; more so in the winter as it is immediately adjacent to the Eagle ski lift. It was nice in non-snow season too as it's out at the end of a street and it was quiet. Walking into the business areas of town is not out of the question and there's a free shuttle bus to take you all around town if you don't want to walk that far or drive yourself. Our 1BR unit was a little more compact than some others I've stayed at but it was comfortable for the two of us, packing in a whole family might have been crowded. Our unit had a balcony which had a great sunrise view. My only real complaint was the hot tubs. They weren't hot. And the water jets were weak. So a star off for that. But overall I had a good experience and I would stay here again.

Reception was exceptional. I heard one of two staffers clearly at check-in. The gentleman, believe his name is Kevin, was super helpful and friendly while also efficient, aware that there was a line. I was impressed. The pool at the front building was well attended by many happy children. There is a second building, also w a pool and hot tub that was less packed. My stay was 3 nights a one bedroom unit w sitting area, kitchen and a balcony. Units are owned by individuals so there are variations. Clean, and though not brand new, comfortable furnishings. Mattress, pillows, sheets good. Noise between units acceptable. Under building parking was easy. There are no dining options around the hotel- these are a quick drive away.

Loved being able to ski on/off at Eagle. Not a lot of dining options nearby, so have to drive or take the shuttle. The jets in the hot tubs weren’t working. However, everyone was lovely and it was generally very easy. We’d stay here again for sure.

Dining options within walking distance will help me make this a 5 star review.

Check in was quick and easy. Danny was amazing and gave us an amazing room. The room was nice and was just what we needed. The pool was heated and amazing. The coffee shop was delicious and amazing staff. It’s not far from many fun activities. Mammoth is an amazing vacation spot and this hotel made it better.

No A/C and fans were broken. Garage access was broken. No instructions for accessing Cable TV. Dated and/or old everything. Expensive "Resort" fee - I guess for the swimming pool? No dinning or lounge - none near. Staff was helpful, nice.
