Such a great stay. We loved being so close to the beach. The staff was so friendly. It was great to be able to check out beach items - including bikes! Can't wait to stay again.

Was clean, minimal amenities. Bed was comfy, but pillows were hard and flat. Definitely upgrade room if possible. Regular room is very small, has small fridge and microwave but no counter in bathroom, so have to sit curling irons blow dryer etc in sink to get ready. Also may be weird if not wtaying as a couple that the wall between the shower and bed is glass (frosted from neck down) but still weird. Heated pool no hot tub. Appreciated use of bikes. Many nearby restaurants but a mile from main Manhattan blvd area. Not right off the beach its a steep 4 lil blocks, so if wish to stay on the beach there are better options, especially near Hermosa pier. The area seems clean and safe with a warm town vibe. But rooms are right off the road so you hear cars all night and lack of soundproofing you can hear neighbors tv and people clobbering their luggage up the stairs all hours of night. We did not sleep well here.

Location is superb. Just off the beach in a quiet setting. It’s simple accommodation with friendly staff and free bikes, beach towels and new beach chairs. Close to the pier where most cafes, restaurants and bars are to be found.

There was a $25 charge for parking. The amount of the charge was not explicit in the Inn's website. Television would only last a few minutes before it lost signal and had to be rebooted. Check-in clerk was a tad surly. The Inn has a good location if you want to be in the North End. If not, I would suggest trying elsewhere.

This is a very OLD basic hotel. There is a pool but you have the ocean 2 blocks away. There is beach toys & towels available gratis. You sit right on Highland Boulevard, which is noisy. No breakfast or other amenities, period. Staff is always super friendly. If you are beaching it all day, this is an ok place.

Excellent stay at the Sea View Inn. The Executive Suite was perfect for us and two grown teens. Ample space, great kitchen, comfy beds. Unbelievable location and everything we needed for the beach was available (chairs, umbrella, towels, volleyball, boogie boards). Biking on The Strand was on my bucket list! Riding all the way down to Redondo, stopping at Hermosa to check out the shops, Pizza on the Manhattan Pier. I cannot wait to go back!

Gosh, not sure about this place anymore. There were cockroaches in the bathroom at night. A bleach smell around the grounds. Just a general unkept appearance throughout the room decor. Even for the low price, it was just ok. I also had to call twice to get a coffee maker and they really seemed to not care so much. Friendly front desk upon arrival, but very inattentive. Good for one night, then jet out of there!

Our stay in the Deluxe Penthouse was overall pretty good. I loved the balcony with the ocean view. I enjoyed how efficient the AC and heating unit was. It was also nice to have access to a stove and a full-sized refrigerator. The swimming pool was well-kept and clean. I appreciated being able to take toys to the beach with my kid as provided by the front desk. Areas for improvement: There were LOUD, squeaky, plumbing pipes anytime our room or one of the rooms next to us used the water. It created a high pitched squealing sound that would last sometimes for 10 seconds and other times for 20 minutes. This would happen at night or during the day. I recognize that updating pipes is not an easy or cheap fix, but absolutely needs to be addressed, even if it is just sound-proofing the walls. I am not overly sensitive about cleaning, but I do draw the line at hair being in more than one place that is extremely sensitive to guests. I found several long, black hair (I have blonde hair) in the bed, on the pillow case and on the sheets. There was another long, black hair on the toilet seat. I set the toilet seat down (it was up to indicate that it had been cleaned) and the hair was on the top of the toilet seat after letting it down. I noticed that me and my daughter's feet were often black and dirty after walking around barefoot on the floor even after showering. I do not think the floor tile has been properly cleaned in a long time. The living room TV did not work except for the Roku.

A decent location just a couple blocks from the beach but not a fan of the hotel itself. Very old, no elevator or help with bags so I had to carry my 50lb suitcase up 2 flights of stairs myself, amenities were so-so, shower head was absolutely disgusting, carpets were stained, blinds were broken. This hotel could just use a little upgrade and TLC.

Dirty room. Terrible bedding. Shower dripped. Walls are paper thin and can hear other guests in their room. Broken window latch on a first floor room. I was told that it was my fault for not notifying the staff when the office closes at 11PM. After informing front desk staff they still had another guest check in to the room. If they can find a way to be cheap.

Stayed for 2 nights, great location walkable to restaurants, market, and beach. We booked an ocean view room with a balcony. Use of the free bikes was great to explore the strand. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Some noise from surroundings but easily addressed with some white noise. Would stay here again.

It was a nice visit for one evening. The penthouse room with two bedrooms and a sofa bed worked for the thee of us. The mattress on the sofa bed pretty think and it was very squeaky. Only other issue we had was that remote controls were difficult to use and we couldn't figure out how to turn off the fan in the bedrooms. The front desk employee was very helpful when we called for help--he was great. Maybe a short document in the rooms explaining how to use the remotes and turn on/off the fans.

Rough, aged bed linens. It felt a lot like a Motel 6 or a college dorm room at best. The unit I was given for over $200 for the night (when the hotel was 60% occupied) was a prior garage storage unit converted into a room. It was the only unit in one of the parking areas. The TV didn't work and the wifi was super weak. The shower was decent enough. I've stayed here before in two other units, but I'll never stay here again.

Room 303 is not worth the price that it is being offered $250 per night. Maybe $185. Although it is called Sea View this should be called back parking lot view. The room was small, in the back of the hotel and not up to quality. As soon as I turned on the shower, the handle broke. Then the Remote for the TV would not work properly. We were totally disappointed. We did upgrade the next day to a much better room on the ocean side room 206, which had a beautiful view. But considering how disappointed I was with the price and condition of room 303, I would think that they would have given me the upgrade for free instead of charging an extra $40. That would have made me a 100% satisfied customer. But here we are now with a less than stellar review. I would have raved about this place if it was not for charging me an upgrade. I do have to say that the front desk guy were nice though.

That would have made me a 100% satisfied customer. But here we are now with a less than stellar review. I would have raved about this place if it was not for charging me an upgrade. Our stay in the Deluxe Penthouse was overall pretty good. I loved the balcony with the ocean view. I enjoyed how efficient the AC and heating unit was. It was also nice to have access to a stove and a full-sized refrigerator. The swimming pool was well-kept and clean. I appreciated being able to take toys to the beach with my kid as provided by the front desk. Areas for improvement: There were LOUD, squeaky, plumbing pipes anytime our room or one of the rooms next to us used the water. It created a high pitched squealing sound that would last sometimes for 10 seconds and other times for 20 minutes. This would happen at night or during the day. I recognize that updating pipes is not an easy or cheap fix, but absolutely needs to be addressed, even if it is just sound-proofing the walls. I am not overly sensitive about cleaning, but I do draw the line at hair being in more than one place that is extremely sensitive to guests. I found several long, black hair (I have blonde hair) in the bed, on the pillow case and on the sheets. There was another long, black hair on the toilet seat. I set the toilet seat down (it was up to indicate that it had been cleaned) and the hair was on the top of the toilet seat after letting it down. I noticed that me and my daughter's feet were often black and dirty after walking around barefoot on the floor even after showering. I do not think the floor tile has been properly cleaned in a long time. The living room TV did not work except for the Roku.

We love staying here. My son had a single room for a day or so - it was right up against Highland and too loud to open his windows at night. I have always stayed in the penthouses and they are nice and bit and have a great view. Property is clean and the ability to grab bikes and beach stuff is one main reason we stay here.

Excellent location with a short walk to the beach. I didn’t pay for an ocean view but my room had a nice little balcony with the ocean peeking thru anyway, so that was a nice bonus. Neighborhood is very walkable with lots of cute cafes & the gourmet grocery store across the street was super convenient. The room did not have usb outlets, and the hotel loaned me a small charger. So I suggest bringing your own wall charger. The bikes are beach cruisers w/ pedal breaks - be careful riding them, I recommend walking the bike down the hill to the beach instead of riding.

A decent location just a couple blocks from the beach but not a fan of the hotel itself. Very old, no elevator or help with bags so I had to carry my 50lb suitcase up 2 flights of stairs myself, amenities were so-so, shower head was absolutely disgusting, carpets were stained, blinds were broken. This hotel could just use a little upgrade and TLC.

Room is motel-style and made for a beach town, not fancy but cute and comfortable, made for relaxing after washing off the sand and salt. Comfortable beds. Neighborhood is blessedly quiet and there’s a lovely breeze off the ocean. Cruiser bikes available to guests, old and rusty but get the job done. Paid parking. Great place to stay and live that beach life.

Was clean, minimal amenities. Bed was comfy, but pillows were hard and flat. Definitely upgrade room if possible. Regular room is very small, has small fridge and microwave but no counter in bathroom, so have to sit curling irons blow dryer etc in sink to get ready. Also may be weird if not wtaying as a couple that the wall between the shower and bed is glass (frosted from neck down) but still weird. Heated pool no hot tub. Appreciated use of bikes. Many nearby restaurants but a mile from main Manhattan blvd area. Not right off the beach its a steep 4 lil blocks, so if wish to stay on the beach there are better options, especially near Hermosa pier. The area seems clean and safe with a warm town vibe. But rooms are right off the road so you hear cars all night and lack of soundproofing you can hear neighbors tv and people clobbering their luggage up the stairs all hours of night. We did not sleep well here.

Stayed for 2 nights, great location walkable to restaurants, market, and beach. We booked an ocean view room with a balcony. Use of the free bikes was great to explore the strand. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Some noise from surroundings but easily addressed with some white noise. Would stay here again.

Great location and friendly staff! This is an older business and some of the units could use a refresh, but the views and superb access make this a top choice. A lot to like here, but the parking is a little problematic and expensive.

Great location. I had the suite with the balcony that faces the ocean, loved the view. The room is fine, a decent amount of space. The bed is also fine, a little old and creaky, but again, fine. The free use of a beach chair and bike were nice perks. One con is that the room let's in a LOT of light. Better shade over the balcony door and the rooms one window would be better for sleeping.

Perfect little place to stay and be close to the best beach. Great to have all the beach supplies provided. Love the laid back vibe. Wishing the mattresses would get an update. The pull out couch mattress is really bad. Memory foam toppers would even help. If this was fixed it would be 5 stars for me!!!

Although I had a tough time in the beginning everything turned out excellent! At first when I checked in I was not aware I would be put on the third floor without an elevator or escalator. I tried desperately to get both my and my wife’s luggage up to the third floor. After failing twice I went down to see Blaine. Although he was alone and quite busy he was happy to help. I explained that I had a physical problem and exhausted myself actually exhausted myself trying to attempt to drag the luggage. He was so sorry and asked his manager to help. Although he couldn’t change the room he offered all the help to get the luggage upstairs. I asked to be compensated with parking and his manager agreed. Blaine was an excellent help. And the clerk upon leaving was helpful too. However I had a problem with the bill after checking out, But I must say the young later who helped me on that was wonderful too. I think her name was Jessica. All in all I had a great room and everyone did their best to accommodate me and my wife. I would definitely stay here again. In fact i plan to on my next trip!
