Oceanside, CA – Marina / Camp Pendleton

Bei einem Aufenthalt vor 15 Jahren waren wir recht zufrieden. Allerdings hatten wir ein Zimmer im Haupthaus.Dieses mal in einem kleineren Motelgebäude waren wir enttäuscht. Zimmer sind sehr klein, abgewirtschaftet und nicht gerade sauber. Hatten 4 Übernachtungen, housekeeping fand nicht statt und Frühstück gibt es auch nicht, nicht einmal Kaffee. Das einzig gute ist die Lage am Stadtrand und der Parkplatz vor der Tür.

The parking lot was very quiet on Saturday night, with less than 10 cars. The reception area had a large moldy wall and looked poorly maintained. My room was in a separate old one-story building. It had an old smell, stained carpet, damaged walls, and broken baseboards. I did not feel comfortable walking barefoot and kept my shoes on most of the time. Around 11 p.m., I could clearly hear neighbors talking loudly outside. I also felt itchy during the night and was worried something might be on the bed. The next morning, my car tire was flat, and I found a piece of cutter blade in the tire. I did not feel this was a comfortable or safe place to stay. I left at 6 a.m., and it ruined my plans for the whole day. I would not recommend staying here.

Beds had bed bugs, got all bitten up. Went to tell the front desk about it and to check out. They told me that they will have a tech come out and check out the room. The next morning I spoke to a manager and they said the tech said there was nothing because all the beds were “new”. Gave me a refund for one night. Still had two more nights that didn’t get refunded.
