Residence Inn by Marriott Ontario Airport

No wifi, pool with green algae, no towels at pool, broken shower plug, wasn't informed there were stairs and more stairs, bathroom fan did not work, alarm went off at 6a, clock 15 minutes off, only 4 towels for 6 people. Not informed of policies regarding housekeeping: housekeeping upon request 24 hours in advance, no housekeeping if staying less than 3 days. However, when housekeeping came, they went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. Breakfast was nice, well presented.

I reserved this property because of the hot tub and its proximity to the airport. When I got there, the hot tub was out of order, and there was no shuttle to the airport. Additionally, I had to pay for parking. I would have chosen another hotel if I had known these things. Further, the room was dirty, and smelled bad.

Overall we had a good experience but they need to fix their bbq grills. Only 1 out of 3 worked

I booked this hotel so that I could use the computer, the laundry facility in the pool. All three were broken.

My upstairs unit had a very bad roach problem. The remote was missing in the bedroom. The mirrors in the bathroom were both hanging. I dod not have good room service and they told me because I held the room thru Expedia they would not give me a refund but points. I may have to sue them in court and I took video of the infestation. It was very disgusting and the roaches were bad. They almost landed on our food. The host did not seem too concerned, but they did offer us another Unit. The jacuzzi did not work. It was very hard to get breakfast because they kept running out of food and large lines. Good food to eat 😋. Overall they get a 3. Everyone was polite and theysaid they were going to shut that unit down and get it sprayed. The front closest had a terrible smell as well.

Hotel charges for parking over night , which was a surprise So calculate that before you book. Hotel furniture is getting old and worn off

The pillows weren’t the best, it’s a little outdated and the hot tub was broken which was something I was looking forward to. The staff was amazing each and every one of them were nice and helpful. The stay was nice though. The people who stay there often were also nice. I would stay again and just bring my own pillows lol

Not good charged for parking..17.00 per day Most motels in the area do not. Breakfast is up the steps Sidewalks are not swap Irrigation hoses leaking water not getting correctly The front desk staff are very friendly thankful for that

Rooms are clean and bedding clean . I wasn’t aware for additional fee for parking-$17. Surrounding area dirty, garbage and dogs poop all over.

Came into a dirty room, the bathroom had vomit in the sink. The curtains were torn. Had to ask front desk to stop by and clean the room at least the bathroom. They came the next day and had everyone vacate to room in order to clean the bathroom.

I checked in and went to open my room that had not been cleaned. Went back and they gave me another room . Started having bites that night but thought they were mosquitoes but after the 4th day I checked out after finding bed bugs. I took pictures and video of the bedbugs. I went to check out early after that and told them to cancel mine and my husband’s reservation at the end of the week. They offered me a lousy 50 bucks for the bed bug bites. I will be filing a complaint with Marriott, this is unacceptable and will not stay at Residence Inn again.

This property has the potential to be great, but unfortunately it wasn’t. There was weave hair, condom wrappers and trash all over the walk ways and parking lot. The door to the room was off centered so I was stuck wrestling with it with my luggage in my hand. Also got stuff from the inside a few times. There was holes in the carpet, and the walls are thin so you can hear any and everything outside. The pots and pans were dated. The shower had hair in it and the body wash holder was dirty. This is my first time staying at a residence inn and having an off experience. Just needs a major upgrade. I would recommend paying a little more for a hotel in the area if you can.

Rooms 2114 223. There was no dish soap, only dishwasher powder. Room 2114 All of the dishes in the cabinet had dried food particles proving no one is actually washing these dishes.Room 2114 The top blanket on the bed looked like it had been ran over by a dirty suite case so I opted NOT to sleep on the bed. The chairs had hideous patches of the fake leather peeling off and no one bothered to replace those chairs. The carpet isn’t even clean and had spots and particles as if it wasn’t vacuumed. The carpet also was not tailored on the edges meaning it looked like they just took a pair of scissors to cut the space out in the carpet in front of the fireplace. The toilet seat in room 223 needed replacing as it was peeling just like the chairs in 2114 AND the entire toilet seat in room 2114 moves, it needs to be tightened.

It is time for an update the room smelled like mold and old carpet the towels were dirty the tub was dirty the shower head needs to be replaced I wouldn’t stay here again

The carpet felt so gross ! i seen stains on the wall. I was very displeased with the cleanliness of the room . The room number was not visable outside the door. For the price of the room I could of most likely gotten a better room at the motel 6

There was little food left only chorizo which is hard on sensitive stomach and not good for children’s very spicy. no regular menu or scrambled eggs. The room smelled horrible the carpet was dirty there was NO phone and riff raff people in the parking lot we were concerned about having things stolen from our rental car. There were people walking around in the back parking lot on drugs in the morning. There was also No phone in the room which made us feel unsafe also. We generally didn’t feel safe in the Marriott which was the only time ever out of all our stays. On a happier note the staff was WONDERFUL & very helpful and accommodating. They get 5 stars the property does not sadly. It needs a lot of work. Please bring this place up to proper Marriott level standards before word gets out.

Staff was accommodating and friendly. I saw little cockroaches in the room, a couple everyday. I asked them to spray, they said they did. But I still saw them after.

Bugs in bed, stains.

Terrible all around. Stayed for 5 days with family. First off the property is run down and dirty, bags full of trash in walk ways and in bushes. A lot of things not working in room, garbage disposal didn't work, i cooked meals a lot rather than order takeout. The sink clogged up bad and was very slow to drain. Bathroom sink clogged up too. Carpet very dirty, furniture old and ripping . Phone in room did not work we had to walk to front desk a couple times to request clean bed sheets because i think they dont change out the bed sheets, i found blood drops and what i thought was fecal stains on comforter. So we finally got clean sheets "yea right " they were stained with make-up and the yellow stains. We just didn't use the comforter the thin sheets were cleaned so thats all we had at night for the kids to use. The pool was dirty. no one was in it the spa was out of order. Front desk said the pool gets cleaned everyday bit i doubt it and they told me the spa had been out of service for quite some time. Really? So i guess they dont have plans on getting it fixed. At night it can get a little roudy with guests yelling and using profanity. It was the worst hotel ive ever stayed in. It sure did not feel like a Marriott. Marriott needs to drop this place.

Appears to be run down. We had the penthouse, sleeping 5. There is a small bar in the kitchen area, but no bar stools, just one regular chair, too low for the bar. Only a sofa and one other chair in the whole unit. Coffee pot was discovered to be broken and cracked when we got up to make coffee in the morning. There is general wear and tear with no apparent attempt to repair things like baseboards. Overall, was just satisfactory

Friendly staff, relaxing place and love the apartment style buildings. A bit outdated but very comfortable and enjoyable for the family.

Parking prices add up for the duration of your stay. The units are a bit outdated but convenient given the location and price. If you’re on the first floor, expect to hear everything from guests on the second floor. The staff are great!

It looks like this used to be apartments. Now they are very old. smell in room is not nice. I wouldn’t stay again.

Older property, musty odor in the room and the room deadbolt didn’t work properly

We enjoy staying here because it's like having a little apartment. The rooms have a foll size refrigerator, stove, microwave, so you can bring food and drinks without having to go out all the time !

Stayed here for Escape using shuttle services for the third time and recommend if you want a little more space/kitchen. 🏡 It's a slight walk from shuttles but they are cleaner than the ones right by the drop-off/pick-up area. ✨ #Escape #Shuttles #Space #Kitchen #Walk #Cleanliness

If your room is on the first floor and next to the outside airconditioner, it is a little noisy.

The Residence Inn is in a great location for the Ontario Convention Center. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was nice to have separate HVAC and water heating and it was quiet. However the furniture was very shabby and in need of replacement. The couch cushions were fraying and the vinyl on the bar stools and ottoman were peeling so bad that they should be in the dumpster. The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling. And the carpet was stained and bunched up. The outsides of the buildings and stairs need painting and a lot of the sidewalks need to be replaced because they are a serious trip hazard from tree roots lifting the concrete. Everything was just old and desperately in need of replacement. But the staff were friendly and doing their best with what they had to work with.

Room was good but there was just no wifi working

Booked over a week ahead of time. Arrived just before midnight and there was one staff person on a Friday night (it’s an airport hotel); they weren’t checking anyone in because they were trying to solve another customer service problem. Had to get in line a total of three times, they didn’t have a room on hold and were extremely over booked. The attendant probably was not given any training and was trying to read through pages of papers; she called the GM about the issues but no issues were resolved. Ended up having to book somewhere else that was $100 more at 2AM because there was literally a lobby full of people at a complete standstill. I also heard her have to tell customers that they were out of clean towels and that each group only got one key card because they were running low. I honestly don’t even think any of this was her fault but she also didn’t handle it well. I’ve managed a lodge and this whole experience was kind of wild and ridiculous.

Arrived there after paying in full upfront only to find out they zero rooms available! I was told to call customer service to fix the problem because there was nothing they could do. So I call customer service and for the next two hours I’m talking with them in ten second intervals in between being put on hold for 30 min intervals! It was just past midnight when they finally managed to get me into a room without even an apology!

Although I had some issues with my room it was resolved and my stay was very good I felt safe and there were good options to see around the area! It’s not to far from a lot of places.The room was clean. The only complaint I have would be the reception desk doesn’t really answer the phone if you call it from the room phone and you’re on hold for a really long time but other than that it was good!

Very quick process

Upon arrival, room wasn't available. I'm assuming they were short staffed on housekeepers. Several customers were waiting for their rooms as well. I had booked mine in advance. Had an event to be at by 5pm, arrived at hotel at 3, didnt get into room until close to 5. Room was supposed to be smoke free but it reaked of cigarettes and weed. Went to my event smelling like a dang smoker. Woke in the middle of the night having an asthma attack which i havent had in 2 years. My room stunk so badly but couldn't go to another room since there weren't any clean. Showered in the morning and the bathroom flooded. No idea from where the water came from exactly but upon further inspection, the floor was warped and the bottom of the walls as well due to water damage previously. Carpets are gross, don't go barefoot, wear slippers at least. Around 1am there was a woman screaming at her young child at the top of her lungs with their windows open. I believe there are residents in this hotel. The rooms are like little apartments. There was no breakfast by 9:30am and breakfast starts at 9am. No coffee or juice, nothing left. It would be a decent place but i think having residence there takes away from the other commodities we pay for. Plus updating is very much needed. The staff did comp my parkingnwhich I had no idea I had to pay for when I booked the place. Had to park quite a distance from my room as most of the spots were all taken.

Staff was very friendly friednly and accommodating. Granted my request for a late check out because of the convention we were ttending across the hotel (at the Ontarion Convention Center).

Nice room but housekeeping service was spotty. The front desk people were helpful and cheerful.

It's near the mall and top golf it was a great night and of course no drinking and driving so staying here for a few hours watching some TV definitely helped. Shout out to the receptionist. She was awesome!

One night stay across from convention center

Let’s start with check in. Which I can understand a computer glitch causing a back up but waiting for 2 hours get our room was slightly ridiculous. Staff was friendly and doing the best they could to keep up with the demand. However, the crowded and mix of people left us with a sense of insecurity and unsafe feelings. The lobby offered coffee and water. However, there was no water and ants were crawling in the creamer and coffee area. When we arrived to our room, there were trash bags left out of our door that hadn’t been picked up yet. And while stepping out during the evening for a dinner room, there were people hiding in between the bushes with unclear intentions. Definitely felt unsafe and uncomfortable. The room was great and overall so open and comfortable. But this experience left us feeling a little weary.

Our stay at this hotel was pretty good. The location near the airport worked great for us. There is ample food & grocery nearby, as well as easy access to major highways. As noted in other reviews, the property is older, however, we had no issue with this whatsoever. Check in - we showed up a little early. Got in, no problem. Very quick process for both rooms we booked. Parking - there was ample parking every day we were there, even on days when the hotel was sold out. With the way the property is configured you can park just as easily in the front or back. Rooms - we booked 2 of the 2 bedroom (aka Penthouse) rooms. While the rooms showed a little bit of wear, they were perfectly fine. The AC was already cooling the room down when we entered. The linens were clean, as was the bathroom & kitchen areas. Our rooms were spacious. There was cutlery for 4 people with plates & cookware. Outside noise - despite being sold out on the weekend we were there, the property was generally quiet and our rooms were near the pool & breakfast areas. At night we heard no noise at all and were able to sleep with no issues. Breakfast - the breakfast was good. The food cooked was fresh. The breakfast area can get a little cramped if it's very busy, but we made it work. The staff kept up with the food demands, as well as keeping the area clean. Price & Overall value - we would stay at this property again for sure. We love the rooms size, easy in/out and the breakfast.

Location was great, right across the convention center. Maintenance can be a little better i.e. broken cupboards, little mold in the cupboards. Maybe hire more housekeepers during major events, some rooms weren't ready by check-in time. There were 2 ladies at the front desk that were very nice and try to accommodate us as best as they can.

Older property. Staff doing the best they can with a place that is due for an update. Quiet, near airport super close to two freeways. Acceptable food in area. Possibly walkable to Ontario convention center. 2 min (literally) to Starbucks or In n out.

Stayed 1/24/23-1/27/23. Check in was good. Staff was friendly and informative. Area looked a little sketchy with garbage on the ground in the parking lot adjacent to the unit I was in. Around 1 am I heard scratching outside my window and then a few thumps. I opened the curtain to find someone trying to break in my room. They had succeeded in opening the upper latch and were trying to pry the window past the second latch. When I opened the curtain and pounded on the window they ran off. I told the desk clerk the next morning and she said that they had been having problems with break-ins. I went about my business and expected that someone would get back to me to tell me what steps had been taken but did not hear anything. When I checked out on Friday I spoke to the chief engineer and he said that he put the screen back on the window and informed the police that they had a break-in. He said that the General Manager would be calling me that day and I still have not heard anything from them. Very disappointing that they did not communicate more with me. I did not feel very secure at this establishment.

Great location to the Ontario Convention Center. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Staff was very friendly and professional.

It’s a great place near the convention center is across the street and there was so many ppl there the breakfast was slowly being restocked but they kept it coming but this being a lot of men it was justified

I would most definitely stay here again. Great breakfast and everyone who works on there is amazing

Stayed at this property due to an evacuation. The night Manager was a bit off putting to the newly hired trainee when I arrived. The room was clean enough but was disappointed because there were many ants in the bathroom and there was minimal kitchen appliances like plates and utensils. Ex/ the room accommodates 6 people however we had dishes for only 2 people. Guess I could’ve asked for more. The breakfast, if you can call it that, was really poor. It appeared they set dood out at 7am and that’s it. When we arrived at 8:30am there was a burnt waffle in the waffle maker, the second waffle maker was jot working, the toaster was also jot working, there were only a cupful of dried eggs in one if the 3 warmers, the dried cereal looked as if it had been in the containers for months and the orange juice was clear like the color of water. The coffee and creamers were good though! I will most likely stay here only in case of emergencies and also if it’s the only property available. I did like the fact that it was pet friendly and that fee was nominal!

Love this hotel very clean love the staff. Breakfast is delicious. Kitchens are nice and soft beds heated pool BBQ all over! Best hotel!! Love it here

Their kitchen is very under-staffed. Not able to have breakfast as many people were waiting for food to come out. Eventually their kitchen closes at 9am, so tough luck to the people who were still waiting.

The property was very convenient to the convention center for the event we were attending. It was walkable to numerous restaurants. The staff were all pleasant. And like most places maid service non-existent unless requested. Items needed were brought by a staff person. Eggs the first couple of days were cold. The juice machine was non-functional the entire week we were there. And the bathroom outside the breakfast area was out of order, also the entire week. The exterior of the buildings are beginning to show wear and deterioration, however, inside the units were in good condition. Although we liked having the 2 bedroom, 2 baths, the stairs, especially with luggage for our senior group was difficult.

We liked our stay in LA at this property; it made us feel home away from home. The staff is courteous, and pancakes at breakfast were the kids' favorite, though we ran out of them for a few days. That was only a sour point.
