Worst stay. Elevator was broken had to drag bags upstairs. Didn't get the room we paid for. At 5 am garbage trucks came and were loud enough to wake the dead. Surrounding area is filled with vagrants. Stay elsewhere.

Free parking and breakfast. There are two parking lots. The top parking lot is where the front entrance is located, and is usually full by night. We usually parked on the lower level, there is a card carder to access the hotel. We did noticed on two occassions there were homeless people hanging around the lower parking lot. The hotel is clean, and the staff is friendly. Right across the street is In-N-Out. Short drive to San Diego Zoo and Sea World.

Ants in the bathroom. By far the noisiest and dirtiest La Quinta I’ve ever stayed at. Hottub was cold and cream colored till I complained 2 days of my 5 night stay. I found the parking to be easier than expected. Just park on the lower floor lots of space. Pool and hot tub were sparkling clean. Front desk took good care of me. Love this place. Just needs some coaching for a little more thoughtfulness. Breakfast buffet manager kept letting things run out.

The room was clean and as described and everything worked. The pool was warm and comfortable, the hottub was hot. Parking was bit tight for our full sized SUV, but we managed. The breakfast was okay at best. We mostly skipped it and ate out. Scrambled eggs with dry sausage patties, I think they were plant based. Lots of selections for carbohydrates, hard boiled eggs and yogurt. navigating to the hotel was a little tricky the first time, after that it was easy.

We booked this hotel because we needed a hotel with an EV charger as it was one of the criteria that we filtered. Came to check in and front desk said the EV chargers were removed about 3 years ago and yet they still haven’t updated this! Front desk was courteous enough to comp us with free snacks and drinks from the front desk area. We ended up going to a nearby supercharger and sadly when we came back there are no more spots for us to park in the parking structure as parking spots in the structure are very limited.

Upon arrival, it was a lot more rundown than I anticipated. The room we were given had the worst smell I ever smelled before. It was either a raw sewage smell or a dead body. I'm not trying to be funny. That's how bad the smell was. It did not dissipate, no matter how long we were in the room. I didn't even want to sit on the bed because the smell was so bad.I felt like the room was disgusting. I wanted to leave, but it was so late. They gave us another room, which was a lot better. The girl at the front desk asked me to come all the way back to return the keys and didn't even care to check the room that I told her was really, really bad. Nobody seemed to care

This hotel is very old and in dire need of an upgrade. The hallways had stained carpet and looked dirty. Our room smelled musty with very old furniture in bad need of a makeover. The hotel location is terrible. The nightly rate was similar to the rate we paid at a Marriott in Orange County that is also rated as a three star, but there is no comparison. The Orange County location is far better in all respects. Would rate this San Diego location as a poor 2- star and cannot recommend it.

Overall stay was adequate. The carpets were dirty the hallway smelled like dogs. Our clothes got smelly after bing in the closet overnight. The sheets on the bed had holes in them. We did not like the location Parking was awful but available without a fee which was nice. The pool area was not being cleaned as the same garbage on the deck was there from the first to last day. One day there was someone from a motorhome in the hot tub. Not clients of the hotel. We did call and report the hot tub had something that looked like a paper towel around the filter. The next day they revel it but left it on the pool deck. It never got cleaned up. Breakfast Was adequate. I chose to go the cheaper route for this trip. It was an okay value.

The immediate location of this hotel was poor form many reasons. Later looking at others comments one likened it to having ghetto feelings and I unfortunately must agree. I would rate the experience as a 5/10 and found it unbelievable that there were several people rating it at 10/10…no way! Really makes us question fake ratings!!! It was on a strange road that depending on what direction you entered it was hard to find. There were also homeless people issues all around and some incidents around the hotel. Limited parking was also an issue with some frustrations. Inside the hotel the hallways were not clean, stains on floors in many areas, and some damaged walls made me question upkeep along with questions as to the levels of cleanliness. The rooms were ok, except some worn furniture damaged fixtures, and paper thin walls, especially where rooms had adjoining doors. When someone came into an adjacent room I was astonished how I could literally hear their conversation very clearly, and they didn’t seem to be talking loud. This lack of privacy was troubling. The breakfast was very basic and the quality wasn’t that good, to the point that we skipped it on subsequent days. The price was wayyyy to much for the experience and I would definitely not go back even if the price were 1/4! The best thing I can say is that the water pressure was nice and strong, but practically everything else was disappointing. Unless there are no other choices I would pass on this place!

The room was clean and roomy , however, the bed was very hard and uncomfortable for me. We stay almost exclusively at La Quinta inn and suites because of the comfortable beds. First time I’ve been unable to rest in one of their beds. We stayed same hotel one week prior and the bed was very comfortable . I’m over 70 and still work long hours. I need to sleep and be able to rest.

Next to a busy street. Odd noise turning on and off, most likely nearby units a/c going on and off. Property was not dirty but mostly very worn. Carpets long overdue for replacement , furniture well used. Last but not least is the parking space or lack of. The designers must believe everyone drives a mini cooper.

We stayed 4 nights. The room was a good size with a fridge microwave and coffee machine. The bed was comfy. Hot water and good pressure. Was across the street to a In and out Burger and Jack in the box. Would definitely stay here again.

It was dated and sorry. The furniture was dinged up and the carpet was very stained. The neighborhood was not very attractive and the freeway runs right next door. Very basic. Keep your expectations low.

John at the front desk was really helpful. He made our stay more enjoyable. A big asset to an otherwise indifferent staff. On the other hand, one of the young women in the breakfast room staff berated me for not clearing my breakfast off the table before leaving. I was not aware that this was my job and not hers. Not very pleasant. Also we needed to use the clothes dryer- it was out of order.

Our room was very nice. Overall a great place with a fair price...... However, the staff that was working the breakfast area was extremely curt and rude to all the guests while we were there for about 30 minutes. Snappy answers to guests, slamming equipment and supply cabinet doors. Etc. much like an upset child forced to do chores. Very disappointing after such a nice room and night we had before. Unfortunately because of this, my family will be staying elsewhere the next time we are in San Diego.

It was a good stay. Only hiccup we had was that when we went to check in there wasn’t a worker in site. No one at the back of the front desk. I waited around for 20 minutes for someone to show up and the guests that were waiting before me had said the front desk had been empty for a good 20 minutes before I got there. That was a little annoying considering we had just driven 6 hours and were anxious to get our room and rest. Other than that it was a good stay ! The breakfast was good variety and the room were clean. The sheets are a little thin and lack quality but overall well worth the price!

This hotel is "ok" but considering the price, it's sub-par. I know, it's San Diego... However, I don't know who manages that place but no room was available when we came in at 7:15, then we were sent to a room that wasn't done... not to mention that the party coming in just before us was sent to a dirty room first, and then to another one that was occupied. In short, chaos. An another case of a property owner or manager hiding behind the on premise staff ?

This hotel is "ok" but considering the price, it's sub-par. I know, it's San Diego... However, I don't know who manages that place but no room was available when we came in at 7:15, then we were sent to a room that wasn't done... not to mention that the party coming in just before us was sent to a dirty room first, and then to another one that was occupied. In short, chaos. An another case of a property owner or manager hiding behind the on premise staff ?

I believe it was too much pressure in the system and other areas of the hotel had water turn on or off. This made sleep impossible. At check out when the front desk asked how my stay was I said "not great, I didnt get any sleep" and explained the noise. Front desk nonchalantly said "I will let maintenance know" without an apology, inquiring more about the situation, or offering any compensation.

We did not stay at the property as we felt very unsafe and had concerns when checking in at night. The staff didn't do anything to provide reassurance, just that we wouldn't get our money back. As there was nothing that could be done, we notified Expedia and left.

Convenient location, clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Parking is sometimes difficult. Breakfast is okay but could use some variety and maybe longer hours. Nice to have a laundry room available, pool area could be a little more inviting. Overall a good hotel for the price and would stay there again!

Found this place last minute for a 5 day stay. Free parking and a good continental breakfast. Right next to I-5 for easy freeway access. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Very good for the price.

The immediate location of this hotel was poor form many reasons. Later looking at others comments one likened it to having ghetto feelings and I unfortunately must agree. I would rate the experience as a 5/10 and found it unbelievable that there were several people rating it at 10/10…no way! Really makes us question fake ratings!!! It was on a strange road that depending on what direction you entered it was hard to find. There were also homeless people issues all around and some incidents around the hotel. Limited parking was also an issue with some frustrations. Inside the hotel the hallways were not clean, stains on floors in many areas, and some damaged walls made me question upkeep along with questions as to the levels of cleanliness. The rooms were ok, except some worn furniture damaged fixtures, and paper thin walls, especially where rooms had adjoining doors. When someone came into an adjacent room I was astonished how I could literally hear their conversation very clearly, and they didn’t seem to be talking loud. This lack of privacy was troubling. The breakfast was very basic and the quality wasn’t that good, to the point that we skipped it on subsequent days. The price was wayyyy to much for the experience and I would definitely not go back even if the price were 1/4! The best thing I can say is that the water pressure was nice and strong, but practically everything else was disappointing. Unless there are no other choices I would pass on this place!

Everything was clean and up-to-date in our room. It smelled nice and was comfortable. The building itself is old but that’s charming. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside was the area outside the parking structure. Lots of trash and debris clutters the area alongside the driveway. It looks as though homeless people use the area regularly. It’s unsightly and it makes the area feel unsafe. Perhaps the locals are so used to seeing it that they don’t notice, but I’m betting that guests notice.

We enjoyed our stay. It is not in the best location because it is kind of hidden, but the hotel was nice and the front desk attendants were amazing! The bonus was it was close by the airport.

Breakfast options were pretty limited, eggs super salty. Room pretty clean. Parking was horrendous. Staff fairly friendly, night shifts worker was sleeping at the front desk around 5:30 am. Saw a transient person being escorted out of the lobby with her belongings in trash bags when we arrived.

Breakfast had tepid coffee. Only bread and mini bagels and frozen waffles. Black bananas, instant oatmeal and cold cereal. Rubbery scrambled eggs and sausage. Hard boiled eggs. Every day same crap. Maid made bed but never left coffee packets always had to go to front desk to ask for coffee packets. 4 floors but only one ice machine in garage on second floor. Sad sad sad.

How they scored a 8 average is scary. Will not stay here again! List of items broken: coffee maker, hair dryer you had to stick your finger in to turn on, leaking water in bathroom, patched wall’s unpainted, dresser drawers would not stay closed and tripped over them in middle of the night. Extremely loud road noise.

My room had mold on the AC and it wasn't until I started to feel sick to my stomach that I noticed it was covering the vents and air/vent exchange. I informed staff and they immediately moved me. I packed up all of my stuff and moved to the next room. Unfortunately, the next room also had mold. When I went to let them know, they tried to put me back to the original room with mold! There were no additional rooms due to booking restraints, so they advised that they'd be up to clean the vents and AC within 10 minutes, but it ended up taking over an hour. I left the hotel to go visit my father in hospice and when I returned, the run smelled strongly of chemicals and I felt sick to my stomach again. So, I turned off the AC and did not turn it back on for the next 2 nights. I was forced to deal with the humid and hot room, as I was not sure the air was safe at that time. This was a terrible hotel, the food was awful, the rooms were not clean, and my health was not taken seriously. I asked for a refund and was told the manager would reach out to me but as of today, I haven't heard back. I called and was was advised they were not going to help or offer a refund/discount, because I chose to stay.

For the hotel to rate at 8.0 it wasn’t. I was very surprised. I m a frequent visitor at extended hotels and this place missed by many amenities. I will not participate in the market of this advertisement again. The beds was super hard and pillows where very small, for them knowing it was 3 adults and 1 toddler. The complementary breakfast wasn’t what I expected from this kind of establishment, in Mission Bay as well. No harm done, I told the housekeeper not to go in my room,,,, they did. Great communication with staff. Thanks for the experience 🤔

This hotel is outdated. The halls are stained. There was an unpleasant odor that I think was dog urine. However, the bed sheets were nice and clean, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean. I went to the breakfast area and I could see into the kitchen and it was dirty and disorganized so we didn’t eat breakfast there
