We had a great stay but something to be noted is they charge $15 for parking which we felt was a bit ridiculous with paying $170 for the night Other than that it was a nice area and the staff and breakfast was great

Good: Very clean room; nice attitude staff members; good breakfast Bad: a group of people smoking by the pool; parking fee $15 per night kind of expensive;

Sofa bed had bed bugs. Crowded breakfast with not much left by 8am. Jacuzzi broken. Rude guests wearing shoes inside hot tub. 3’oclock fire alarm got everyone running outside. Not an urban location but still charges $15 a day for parking.

Elevator (at least one of them) was a bit scary but thankfully didn’t die on us. Breakfast was amazing. We were given a handicap room, which was unnecessary. Felt bad occupying a handicap room but it was extremely quiet which was nice. Close to highway but not noisy. Would visit again, just hope for a non-handicap room next time!

My experiance was not so great staying at the Spring Hill Suites. First off, we checked in late on a Friday night for our weekend stay. Almost 10pm to be exact, since we drove from out of state. We paid for parking since your forced to because the other lots, that belong to the other businesses, are tow away zones. We had to circle the parking lot 3 times until a parking spot became available. Meanwhile there was a group of people, in the back parking lot, hanging out, drinking and listening to loud music. Something you find at a typic Motel. The room was just ok. Nothing special that would reflect the cost, and the pillows are paper thin. I had to shove bath towels underneath and fold the pillow in half just get neck support. The next morning we headed out. We came back at 2pm so our kids could go swimming. They were in the middle of shocking the pool water so it was closed. So we headed back out. Came back at 8pm. Still the pool was closed, the maintenance team was working on it. We headed to a family members house who has a pool and enjoyed the evening. We came back at 2am. The parking lot completely full, the same group of people hanging out, drinking and playing loud music in the back. We parked at the check in and had to ask where to park since our kids were asleep in the car. We were told to park in the Chilli's restaurant parking. Not ideal. Then we couldn't sleep, the parking lot party was so loud we could hear it on the 4th floor and called the front desk at 3am.

Pool was down, but these things happen. Bathroom small and towels didn't dry well in it, could use exhaust fans.

Everything was great. Room was clean beds were clean. Only negative is the $15 self parking! Should be free or less!

The hotel elevator inspection was overdue by 5 months. The room was a little small for 5 people but it worked. Otherwise it was pretty good.

Too expensive for what you get. Parking fee $15/day is ridiculous

Best motel breakfast by far. So many options! Clean and super navigatible for us. Wish pool was heated since it's on opposite side of early sun. Would choose to stay again.

No one ever came to clean our room despite being the room across from housekeeping. The walls are thin! We could hear above us and in the morning it was loud in the hallways! The breakfast was almost all gone an hour before it was to end…I waited to ask a staff member for more oatmeal for 10 min and no one came!

Bathroom had mold on the ceiling and it was blood stains on the wall next to the mirror. Staff was great and everything else was fine. I was able to get a new room without any issues.

We checked out as soon as we saw the room! Stains on the mattress and floor, hair in the bathroom. This hotel needs an update ASAP! The staff were friendly! If you’re a “hotel snob” like I tend to be and are expecting a typical Springhill Suites experience this is not it!

It was terrible. I was in the bathroom. I felt something crawling on my leg. I thought it was the string on my shorts but when I looked down, it was a giant bug… at the same time, another giant bug came out of the shower, crawled across the wall and jumped (yes, I said JUMPED down). I took a picture and went strait to the front desk. They said they would send someone and I wait two hours, but no one ever came so I called. They said they’d still send someone and no one came!!!! They did nothing to help. Claims they never had a bug issue. Acted like it was all me. Will never stay here again. I looked it up and turns out that bug is a house centipede!i They didn’t offer anything. No help. No discount. No switching rooms. Nothing! No communication whatsoever!!!

When I first used the bathroom there were several long dark hairs under the toilet roll despenser. I quickly grabbed some toilet paper and flushed them before my husband could see them. Also, when staying several days, I always make the bed, put towels together in the bathroom and pick up everything and straighten up before we go out for the day, so the staff has less to do. When we came back the first day no one had even been in our room. The garbage was full & towels we still in the bathroom & coffee wasnt replintshed. I'm sure it was an oversight but was there a tag or something I was supposed to put on the door? I took the towels to a man outside the door and asked for coffee supplies and he accomidated me. Just a FYI in case iit was a new person being trained. We did very much enjoy our stay though.

This was an reasonably priced hotel inland from the coast that my fiancé and I were excited to stay at for our week in San Diego. The carpet down the hallway to our room was gross. Our room smelled like feet. I later determined it was the air conditioning unit that was pumping a weird smell in the room. We found that our shower drain was clogged, but the hotel did send someone to quickly fix it. Our bed comforter had blood on it. It's also annoying that the hotel charges for parking when they don't have to. My biggest compliment is that the breakfast was good. I try to be reasonable with my reviews, but this hotel was a complete letdown for a sexy trip to San Diego and we wish now that we had stayed somewhere else. :(

We stayed here for comic con (room 107). We checked in around 3pm, we were not advised the internet was down. We unpacked as usual and put some snacks in the fridge for the kids. The fridges do not have freezers at these locations. We set it to max hoping it will get colder. Our AC also was not working. Front desk had service come check the AC, TV and fridge. The tech told us the whole hotel was impacted by the Microsoft issue from a week ago but was able to get the AC going. As we waited to see if the fridge got any colder the smoke alarm went off (around 9pm - low battery) we called the front desk asking for service again. We decided to get a cooler from a local Target to keep the kids snacks cold because the fridge was just not going to do. Breakfast was great like in all Marriott hotels. The second morning, my daughter was itching her shoulder. But I didn’t think much of it. Her itchiness was getting worse by the second day. Upon looking I saw about 40 bug bites. Turns out the pull out couch mattress had bed bugs. We got moved to a different room but the ac was not working there and the bathroom door was not locking. We decided to request to go back to 107 and took extra precautions. I expressed to the hotel I had never experienced this, they refunded our stay in full. Staff over all was very friendly, Brenda was far more than exceptional. I also reported ding dong ditch on our last night. This was a memorable stay to say the least.

I liked that the area was nice and it was off the freeway. The reason we chose to stay here was because it was in between SeaWorld and the Safari Park which worked out great in that sense. However, I didn’t like that it was dirty. The walls had stains. There was a ponytail in the shower. We checked in Friday and I noticed trash and lots on accumulated dust on the elevator floor. On Monday when we checked out the same dust and trash was still there. The hallway floor we stayed on smelled like bug spray. It was pretty gross all around. The front desk staff was nice. The staff working the breakfast area (2 ladies) were making rude and unprofessional comments about people being there too early (6:15am).

Property is old on kept, housekeeping did not clean my room. I know this because I accidentally spilled a little coffee on my sheets they didn't change the sheets they just made my bed. No clean towels they didn't vacuum the floor nothing. Always old carpeting very dirty if you walk Barefoot your feet will be black overcrowded and loud. People above me had kids that would run for hours and jump and wake up at one or two in the morning and run across the floor. I was there on a business trip and just made it very hard to sleep. Definitely would never go back there again put that on my do not ever return list

staff was great, but for me, the property didn’t align with the service. The lobby had a modern look, so I automatically assumed it would be similar to all other Springhill Suites i’ve stayed at. 1 of the 2 elevators service had expired, they were both sketchy on the ride up and as soon as we stepped out of the elevator going up to our room, the appearance alone was outdated, more so when we got in to our room. the room was crowded, curtain and windows were dirty, toilet was very similar to a public restroom, water temperature in the shower was too hot, even at the coldest setting which was almost shutting it off and worst part was the AC unit did not cool the room to our liking, regardless of setting it to the lowest temperature (temp was in the 90s during the day and we were on the top floor). We didn’t feel the need to alert staff because we were only in our room to sleep, gone for most of the day. Needless to say, unfortunately we will not be staying at this location again, although this will not stop us from staying at Marriott hotels.

Spacious, comfortable room. Decent breakfast. Quiet area with lots of convenient food options. Close to the freeway for easy driving. Would definitely stay again

Fantastic hotel, huge rooms, amazing bed and pillows. TV a little small and in the center between the sitting and sleeping areas.

The hotel was clean, quiet and breakfast was good. The only thing that I found to be an issue was the lighting. Only one lamp in the couch/desk area and hard to see at night/early morning. The lighting in the bathroom vanity/sink area had only a lighted mirror no overhead lighting.

AC not working - had to change room.

I requested a quiet room and was put on the top floor. I honestly never heard anyone. I was on the freeway side and it was not a problem as there are dual pane windows. I would recommend as well as stay again.

The hotel was very nice but our room really needed to be renovated. The bathroom was all patched up like a fixer upper and the television looked like the first lcd tv since the late 80’s. Ok for a quick family trip.

The LG tv did not work. It kept logging me out of Netflix acocunt after 15 seconds. After calling the front desk they said they would whitelist us. The response time to change the channel was about 2 minutes. Not even kidding please go test it yourselves. Breakfast used to be alot better. Great customer service though. Everyone was very nice and attentive.

The window broken the room noise because the freeway is outside and air conditioner control not work the on and off doesn’t work inside the room

Everything was easy and nice during check in the receptionist was super nice day 1.However the night guy was super unhelpful and rude. asked for more pillows and towels and i got oh its gonna be over an hr for that mind you it was like 930pm. I never got my pillows or towels and i just didnt bother we were only there 2 days but was very dissapointed

Our stay was extremely disappointing. When we checked in, we asked for extra blankets and were told to wait 30 minutes. After more than 40 minutes, no blankets were available and our kids had to sleep without them. The next morning our bathroom overflowed and flooded the floor. The front desk showed no concern, offered no apology, and suggested we use the lobby bathroom. A staff member came with a plunger but no housekeeping followed for over 30 minutes, which caused us to leave over an hour late for our plans. When we returned, we discovered that housekeeping had not serviced the room at all. Other issues included a leaking iron, my husband having to go again to request blankets, and teens running through the halls late at night yelling about the police. Overall, the service and attitude from staff were unacceptable. This was one of the most unusual and frustrating hotel stays we’ve experienced.

All great but some basics of hospitality were missing. For example, when I have booked/paid for 4 people, need to make sure sufficient bedding and spares are kept in the room. When asked for it, had bad attitude by housekeeping. Obviously, front desk staff, breakfast, location and overall property experience was amazing. Will stay again if need be, but will make sure everything is told to them before I arrive.

I have bad experience this time with the hotel, when I arrived at 1 am there is no one in front desk and the employee was sleeping and didn't answer my phone and that caused waiting time at front desk one hour until he woke up and checked me in. Also, the hotel was so bad with all services, the room smell is so bad and the hot tub did not work during our reservation, the administration for that hotel was so bad and poor. We didn't like it.

I had problems staying connected with the WiFi. Had to call them 4 times before finally tech support was able to help me. When calling house keeping for pillows and blankets it took too long. The staff was wonderful but perhaps they were under staffed even though the hotel was fully booked.

On check-in we were greeted by a lovely man at reception. I was told I had to pay for parking, but I had screenshot the advert on expedia when booking which said parking was included. A girl at reception argued that the advert was wrong and she wouldn’t wave it, but the gentleman didn’t charge me for it in the end. The room was quite small compared to other hotels, but the beds were comfortable. We had to request more towels as we were only provided with 3 for 5 people. No tea making facilities in the room (no kettle, tea bags etc) or cutlery, plates or bowls. You could make tea in the foyer, but at night I didn’t want to venture down in my pjs. Breakfast was OK, but crowded if you went down after 7.30am-8am.

Excellent customer service and very friendly staff. The morning breakfast options were very good in the morning with plenty of options to choose from. We enjoyed our stay very much and would come back again for sure on our next vacation.

The noise of the highway was so loud. I asked to change rooms as we were right beside the highway and my toddler had a very hard time sleeping but they said no. Our pull out couch had stains on it so I didn’t let me son sit on the couch. The fan in the washroom wasn’t working properly, closet door was broken. Room description said full kitchen but it was just a mini fridge, microwave and a small sink. The cupboards were extremely dirty

It was a great stay… close tot he freeway, but it was very quiet.

We stayed for our family vacation visiting all the parks Lego Land, Sea World, and the San Diego Zoo. This hotel is conveniently off the freeway and 20 to 30 minutes from all the parks. We were able to just walk across the parking lot to eat dinner at the Chilis restaurant after a long drive from Los Angeles.

Staff are friendly and the location is great for shopping and dining.

Breakfast time is very busy but good food.

I liked the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff at this hotel. The property itself is nice. What I think can improve is the breakfast - I would rate it as average, not exceptional.

Business center computers were not working and no efforts made to remedy the situation. Breakfast was what you would get at Motel 6. Runny scrambled eggs, vegan sausage, non ripe fruit, no muffins. For how much the room was the breakfast should have been way better.

Breakfast should be until 9..30 . We didn't have enough time to have breakfast on-time. Our room was for 4 people and we had to sleep in a sofa for one person.

I hope breakfast could be more varing. STILL IT WAS GOOD.
