Room smelled of smoke but is a non-smoking property, ceiling had big chips of paint missing, bedding had wads of hair..went to use hot tub and it was filthy, lots of debris and looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Pool seemed cleaner, but water was ice cold!

The hot tub is why we stay there.

The shower floor was dirty and stained. The handle on the toilet was broken. The hot tub did not work/broken. I DEFINITELY will not stay there again!

Good location for modern room, wth plenty of easy parking and friendly front desk staff. Nice, hot jacuzzi.

1/2 of jacuzzi jets were broken A bit noisy from the floor above (Families should be on the 1st floor) Could provide in shower soap dispensers (the small single use containers are wasteful and dated)

Overall good. Hallways looked beat down a bit. The deal breaker for me was “no elevator” as we were staying for a week and taking my stuff in was a hassle due to it. I also needed a receipt showing my form of payment and when I called to ask the receptionist didn’t seem to know how to give me the right info and wasn’t of much help.

Needs some remodeling. The pool and hot tub were fantastic

I read about the reviews of wonderful pool and spa. They were wonderful! Room comfortable and the staff was helpful and welcoming. We would stay again.

My room is clean. The staff was very nice and helpful.

When we walked into our room it reeked of a strong smell come to find out there was urine in the toilet.

There was roaches all through our bathroom and room. Never in my life have I stayed in a place where I continuously had to kill insects. Hardly comfortable to use restroom on our trip because every second there was one popping out from somewhere.

Clean rooms, easy check in/out.

This place was old dirty and Out dated!! We stayed in Rm#129 and carpet was super dirty with spots all over! the walls had had some old repairs done and were very noticeable you can tell it was repaired by unprofessional since they are old noticeable repairs Will defenatly not stay here ever and100% NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

The hotel was very dirty. Both beds had hair on the sheets, and the floor was not clean. When we asked the front desk for clean sheets, the staff said the manager had left and he couldn’t find any. After a long wait, he finally brought two pieces of white cloth that were not even real sheets. We had to sleep under dirty blankets. Very disappointing experience—this hotel should not be listed on Expedia.

I had already filed a refund request due to unsatisfactory property. There was not proper signage for the hotel. I drove her around for 20 minutes finding it I called the front desk. Nobody answered. I finally found the hotel when I got to my room. There was flooding on the floor. The air conditioning wasn’t working and there was hair and dirt in my bed. I called the front desk and asked for a refund and I was leaving. They said I couldn’t have a refund because it was booked through Expedia. I don’t think you guys should recommend this property. It was way below standard went to hotel across the street it was less money and in perfect condition

Unfortunately the room was dirty, stuff on the walls, stains on the floor, back door to our room didnt lock so you had to use a stick, no blow dryer stafg kept saying they would bring one in 10 minutes but it took hours. Cant get through to rhw feont desk. Had people peeking in through our back door.

Dirty…spoiled sheets, hairs everywhere, dead spiders on the floor, sticky counter surfaces, peeling wall paper, rusty appliances. Disgusting!

Nice & Roomie

Very old hotel with old needing remodeled surroundings. Rooms decent but old, lumpy mattresses with holes in comforter. Hotel was very overpriced $397 for a 2 double bed room.

Overall it was fine. The outside doesn’t look good but inside was nice. Bed had no middle support, shower absolutely no pressure & barely water, bathroom door doesn’t close and the toilet was crooked.

Clean, safe, & quiet. Fast WiFi is a nice plus during my stay here.

There’s clearly been money recently put into upgrading this place. New paint. New flooring. And there are internal doorways so it seems safe and secure. It was clean and there was good water pressure. But the toilet had a stain or chip on the toilet seat and was cocked at an angle kind of facing the door. The bed was super lumpy and dipped in the middle so we rolled into each other. There was no bedside light or outlets at all near one side of the bed. And we were woken around 3 in the morning with what sound like someone running down the hallway and then in circles around the room above us. It was so very loud.

Old, outdated, WiFi did not work. Pool and spa weren’t clean either. Seemed like a sketchy area all around.

The hot tub was amazing, but the actual hotel room was a bit lacking. The fixtures are old, and the room could use some updating. There was a lot of noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway, so my stay was not very restful.

I was excited about my stay at the quaint hotel. Unfortunately, it wasn’t very good. We arrived and no one was at the front desk. We rang the service bell, but no-one came. We waited about 20 minutes to be checked in. After we checked in, I asked for a 2nd floor room. He said no because they were sold out. I didn’t see any cars in the parking area though. He put us right by the lobby. There was a lot of noise, it was difficult to get a good nights rest.

I stayed at Hotel Calle Joaquin for a weekend where my aunt was to be married. During my stay the power had gone out and we were not notified of how long it was going to be until it turned back on. I was not able to use the shower, hot tub, pool, or ANYTHING in the room. We had to throw all food out of our refrigerator since it had gone bad. We needed to go to another family members hotel in order to get dressed for the wedding! I went to the front desk to ask what was going on and met Elex who said the manager was not here, but I could call during the week to speak to one. He had let me know that there was nothing he could to do in the meantime since he was not a manager.I had called to explain my disappointment in the service, and Elex answered the phone and said that he actually was in fact the manager! He then yelled at me that it’s not his fault and that I need to get my refund from Expedia and hung up the phone. I had tried to call several times after and was instantly hung up on. After trying to call for about 15 minutes, Elex had called ME to harass me about calling him, and told me he wouldn’t give me a refund. At no point had I asked for a refund, I wanted to have a conversation about my disappointing experience. What poor customer service! At no point was there any empathy for my experience. I wasn’t looking for a free stay, I was only looking to pay for what I was getting, which was half of a hotel stay since we had no power!

Had a short stay and was decent and clean. House keeping service was good. Front desk, however was non existent after 9pm-morning, though.

When we pulled up it didn't seem like much but we were very wrong. It was very nice inside. The customer service was excellent. No issues at all when checking in or out. The room was very well cleaned and completely updated. We will definitely be staying again. Location was great also. Close to shopping and dinning.

Alex the manager was very unhelpful and inconsiderate. I called over 30 times before someone answered the phone. I was told they did not have a lost and found. We left behind something very sentimental and called within a few hours after checkout and was told they could not look for it. I called again the following morning and they said it was thrown away. That anything non electronic goes straight into the trash. I asked if I could speak to his boss and he told me yes and put me on hold. When the line picked back up i said hello and he responded with hello. I asked his name and he told me he wasn’t allowed to give that info out. I responded with questioning him on that and he finally told me his name was Alex. I straight out asked him if he put me on hold and pretended to be the someone else and he said yes. That’s just disgusting and disrespectful. This attitude makes me believe he and his staff are liars and thieves.. That they personally take whatever they want if it’s left behind. Would not recommend. As well as that. The room was just sad.

First night was good. Upon walking into the room I had to open the door and let some air in, the cleaning products were strong! But at least you know they are cleaning. I loved the mirrors! That was my favorite part about this place and the room had a cute theme. Saw reviews saying how dirty it was but that was not my personal experience. Yes there were a few things that should be improved, I didn’t feel like it was obvious enough to feel like the room was unclean. The second night was what really bothered me. I go to bed early so when loud music was playing I didn’t want to make a fuss since I knew it was still early and luckily was able to fall asleep. I was woken up a few times by loud music, strong bass….finally around 11:30 I got up out of bed. I looked around and went out into the hall way where it was even louder. I’m shocked if no one else complained about this unless the hotel was pretty empty. It was the room right not door to me so maybe that also is why it was very loud for me. I knocked in there door a young guy opened the door and I asked him to keep it down and reminded him there were other guests at the hotel and it’s nearly midnight and he’s blasting music. He laughed at me and shut the door so I went back to my room. I used the room phone and tried to call up to the front desk 4-5 times and no one picked up so I then tried twice from my cell, no answer. So I drove around to the lobby and spoke to the guy at the front after ringing the service bell.

The front desk/landscaping/custodial staff were all so kind and so helpful! I felt very welcomed and supported throughout my entire stay. They handled all my concerns quickly and efficiently. They never let me feel like I was a bother or asking unnecessary questions. They were just so accomodating and friendly, I never had a better experience at a hotel! My room was beautiful and spacious, the space was safe and walkable, the pool and sauna were clean and amazing. Overall, my staycation was amazing and I'll definitely be staying again in the future!

Excellent staff

The front desk was horrible and rude. The smoke alarm went off in the morning and they could not turn it off. I had a horrible experience. I do not recommend it.

Great customer service

It's a modest hotel. No frills. Pool and jacuzzi were nice. It's located just off the freeway so there is some traffic noise. Good for the price. Close to SLO, Pismo Beach, San Simeon & Cambria.

We had such a great experience and I can’t believe we found it at such a good price. Location is amazing beautiful views, and close to everything… I would definitely recommend this.

Good value. Stayed here during Cal Poly Parents weekend. I was worried about freeway noise but most rooms are in the back. The hotel was totally full and my room was very quiet. Good basic room. It should be noted that they have essentially no signage. You can't see the one sign until you are all the way there. Don't give up.

It was great! It is located where everything is happening. We stayed one night but we normally stay more then one. Didn't get to do it all. Will go back.

Hotel was close to enough to the down town but not to far from the beach

Overall a good place to spend a night or too. It’s an older property but recently renovated and nicely furnished. Good location- ask for a quiet room not facing the highway. Hundreds of dining options within 10 minute drive.

Super basic hotel. Entire area is very over-priced for rooms in my opinion; this was clean, relatively decent condition, no frills situation and worked fine for passing through. Convenient to highway.

I had a great stay. Just what I was looking for it’s close to the freeway and not to far from downtown SLO and less than 15min drive to Pismo and Avila Beach.

Knowing the hotel under the old ownership as Rose Garden Inn, we were positively surprised about all the changes: new floor and carpet, modern room design, comfortable bed, daily room service. Even so all the Roses around the property are gone, there is an attempt for a new garden. Pool and jacuzzi are still exceptional. The plants are a little cut back but will grow. The blooming Oleander around the courtyard is spectacular. Everything worked fine, the staff was friendly, the room was clean. Only suggestion is the change the window curtains. We had a restful stay and love the location. The breakfast place next door unfortunately closed, so there is no breakfast at this location.

Staff here is extremely nice and the property is in a very convenient location off of the highway. There is a restaurant steps away with decent Mexican food. My kids loved the large hot tub with the waterfalls. This is a great spot and we’d definitely return. We originally planned on staying one night but ended up staying an additional night, just because.

hotel was ok, just no restaurant close by, had to walk over to the marriott to buy coffee and breakfast, hotel don’t offer anything as far as coffee.

Maybe needs to have breakfast included and

expedia promotes hotel offers free breakfast included, and hotel doe sent offer breakfast, Expedia should current the information because its not the first time thies happens.

It is good but no breakfast.
