Very comfortable and beautiful stay here! Only thing that needs to improve is breakfast. Needs to have more variety of food such as cereal, bread, etc than fruit. Variety is important especially when traveling with children. Other than that, this hotel is ideal and walking distance to everything. Staff is friendly and courteous, hotel is extremely clean, and amenities are excellent. A plus with the popcorn, DVD movies, and free rental bikes!

The place was in good condition. The hot tub was way too small. The pool was a great size. The staff was friendly. I especially liked how they offered free dvd rentals, pop corn, water dispenser and coffee.

Very nice motel. Clean and comfortable rooms. Free bikes to borrow were a lot of fun. Daily activities available and free popcorn in the lobby were great and much appreciated. Would come back for sure.

Here is excellent place for family trip. It has spacious, clean and neat room . There are also many things to do for kids including swimming pool and spa. All staffs were kind and friendly, complementary breakfast was good, too.Thank you!

Best place to stay as a family! Has everything you need - a small kitchenette with utensils, a play area for kids, activities like firepit, T-shirt dye, swimming pool, sauna. We had loads of fun, and even extended our stay by a day!

This property is very well taken care of. Super nice staff and great amenities. The room was very clean although a bit outdated. We didn’t care. The parking is the only negative- there just isn’t enough and it’s pretty tight. I’d stay here again!

Great place to stay and off the major highway so it was less busy and quiet. Clean and well maintained. Parking was limited and hard to find a spot on Saturday. Breakfast was soso. Overall a wonderful stay for our family and highly recommend.

ow! We knew it was an old motel that had been renovated, and assumed the age and price would still be reflective of as a budget friendly hotel. But thoroughly enjoyed the 1-bedroom suite, with updated full kitchen; full size stainless steel appliances, large stainless sink, glass tiled backsplash, well appointed table and silverware, and automatic dishwasher. Living area has a sofa, chair, dining table with 2 chairs, LG brand HD TV and console with DVD player; the hotel lobby has a large selection of DVDs. The bathroom was large and the finishes matched the kitchen; jetted tub and three lighting choices. The bedroom was large with a comfy king bed and a LG brand HD TV. Location was perfectly walkable to all the shops restaurants bars and casinos. Lakeside beach is also close by; walkable if you're not toting a bunch of beach gear. All in all, very happy with this hotel/motel/lodge.

The room was spotless, and there are plenty of towels, they even have floor towels to put down over the tile to help with Sandy conditions. Continental breakfast was served by a friendly staff member. It seems that the place caters to long-term visitors We had a kitchen, small, but functional and many plates and silverware available to use.

I have stayed here many times but this time the room was not as clean as expected; dirty microwave, jelly stuck on chair, spots on floor..I told the staff as I was checking out and the person at the desk never offered an apology or acknowledged that it would be taken care of. She wasn't very polite, somewhat gruff as opposed to the staff who were there when I checked in.

Carpet was filthy and feckless on the floor in the bathroom. When I told the person at the desk, she just said wow. The carpet needs to be scrubbed or replaced not just vacuum. We rarely complain about a room. We really should get a refund.

What a little jewel to discover this motel. The rooms were so clean, tidy and supplied with everything and more anyone could expect. We weren't planning on eating in, but this room was furnished with cookware, plates, glasses, silverware, a 2-burner stovetop, full refrigerator with top freezer, convection oven, knives and utility cook ware. a coffeepot, toaster and blender. The bed and fold out couch were quite comfortable. Plenty of extra blankets, more towels than I usually expect. Plenty of cabinet and closet space. A room divider and 2 TV's. One small drawback, not much of a breakfast was available. Very quiet and centrally located. We will return.

My 8-year-old randomly asked if we could go to Tahoe since she hadn’t been there since she was 4. I thought it was a great idea and decided to invite my mom too, since she enjoys visiting casinos. We made it a quick overnight trip. I searched for clean, family-friendly hotels within my budget and came across The Americana. I’m so glad I did! The staff was very friendly, and the room was spotless just like the reviews had said. Based on this experience, I’ll definitely be coming back. Big shoutout to the staff for making our stay so enjoyable!

They even let us know when our room was ready when we tried to check in early and room wasn’t ready yet. Target and a wonderful cafe is nearby. The playground for the kids is great as well as the garden. I loved the leaf textured walls and the twig door knobs. Those small touches made a big impact. I would definitely come here again.

Pros: Comfortable bed, decent shower Cons: no coffee in room yet there’s a coffee pot. For the early risers who want their caffeine at 5, you have to wait until 7 a.m. when the lobby serves coffee/tea/juice with a continental breakfast The walls are thin. You can hear everything!

Me and my wife had a great stay with our dog. The staff was very kind and the rooms looked great. The rooms didn't have AC, so we just opened the widow at the beginning of the night and closed it before bed. I would avoid in the summer months.

We stayed a family of 4 for 2 nights. The property is a typical ski lodge , in a quiet area close to heavenly village. Boys took the queen bed and we slept on the pull out bed w inflated mattress.. not comfortable:( room was small and dated , but it served our needs. They can do better with offering breakfast… walking distance to all restaurants and shopping , convenient to explore lake Taho. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Nice place to stay. Looks very family friendly. One note - no A/C at the property - which looks consistent with all the other lodgings nearby. You probably won't need it, but they do provide fans for the few days a year that temperatures spike.

Medium sized refrigerator freezer combo in all rooms. Definitely worth it when you have freezer needs compared to all those “mini” fridges where the normal hotels don’t work or are non existent.

Comfortable and clean. Surprised to see full kitchen (stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher and dishes) within the room. Breakfast was basic (donuts, toast, oatmeal, fruit and a hard boiled egg) but it was enough to start the day. Short walk to Heavenly. Gym was a treadmill, elliptical, dumbbells (up to 15lbs) and a weight machine. Laundry located in gym (no cost, but people were in there right when it opened at 7am to use the two machines). Kids loved the popcorn in the lobby, and coffee/tea available when it’s open. Overall a great stay!

I had a great stay at the Americana. The checkin process was very quick and staff was also friendly upon arrival. The room was very spacious and clean. The room had everything we needed. The only thing that could have been better was the breakfast as there were not many options. Overall, i had a great stay and would definitely come back again.

The basic studio suite was very cozy. There was plenty of room for the three of us. The cooking area was adequate. It came supplied with plates, bowls, coffee cups, wine goblets , and sandwich plates. There was a blender and coffee maker along with a 2 burner cooktop. There were also several pots and pans. The dishwasher was quiet. Breakfast consisted of doughnuts, bananas, oranges, juice, coffee, and hard boiled eggs. The walls are a little thin. So if you have neighbors, you might hear them. You might consider earplugs.

I liked the room setup with kitchenette, living area and bedroom. The grounds were well cared for with flower beds, lush green lawn and pine trees. Pool area was inviting. Popcorn machine in lobby was fun for the kids. Staff at front desk and in breakfast room were friendly and polite.

Desk is only open from 7am to 9pm. We typically arrive late, so thankfully we got in around 8:30 pm! I get cold seats even now at how close we were to sleeping in our car! That said, this was a trip favorite. Super comfy beds, kitchenette (which meant that there was an outside the bathroom sink which is my favorite feature on family trips because it keeps the bathroom from getting backed up with a line), neat property, (FREE movie rental and FREE bike rental!). This was our one and only trip to Lake Tahoe. So we all wanted to cry because there just wasn't enough time to do the neat games available on site. Free popcorn/tea/coffee during front desk hours. Whole room was tastefully decorated and we loved our stay. Too bad Lake Tahoe is so out of the way from our typical travels. We would gladly stay again.
Desk is only open from 7am to 9pm. We typically arrive late, so thankfully we got in around 8:30 pm! I get cold seats even now at how close we were to sleeping in our car! That said, this was a trip favorite. Super comfy beds, kitchenette (which meant that there was an outside the bathroom sink which is my favorite feature on family trips because it keeps the bathroom from getting backed up with a line), neat property, (FREE movie rental and FREE bike rental!). This was our one and only trip to Lake Tahoe. So we all wanted to cry because there just wasn't enough time to do the neat games available on site. Free popcorn/tea/coffee during front desk hours. Whole room was tastefully decorated and we loved our stay. Too bad Lake Tahoe is so out of the way from our typical travels. We would gladly stay again.

After 4:00 pm the room was not ready and we had to wait. The hotel staff behavior was rude. They ran out of breakfast items. Lastly, one of the staff said we can check out late but later the other staff said no late check out and behaved rudely and said get out.

I had a great stay at the Americana. The checkin process was very quick and staff was also friendly upon arrival. The room was very spacious and clean. The room had everything we needed. The only thing that could have been better was the breakfast as there were not many options. Overall, i had a great stay and would definitely come back again.

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at Americana Village. The hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of Heavenly Village but within a walkable distance. I took advantage of all the amenities, especially the hot tub and sauna. We would definitely stay here again!

While they were friendly, the front desk was very disorganized and unprofessional. Wrong room, only after consulting with management were they able to move us to the type of room we had reserved and paid for in advance. No apologies for inconvenience and acted as though we should be grateful. (It's not an upgrade if you've paid for it.) Maintenance and cleaning staff were active and pleasant - best part of the organization. But in the late night, a maintenance worker had been dispatched to our room. He didn't announce who he was before attempting to open our door. Scary! When I called to ensure that it wasn't just a stranger who tried to enter our room, I was told the fellow had been sent to a room a few doors down. Again, no responsibility for the misstep.

The room is not bad but everybody looks rushed and seem to care little for the guests. We had problem on checkin, cleaning, breakfast. You need to call for cleaning, but even if you call they don't show up. The breakfast area is small and have 3 tables, when I asked the woman for 3 eggs she said its 1 per person, but I had my family in the room, so unpolite in this and other things. Anyway next time will check for another place, this one is a NO.

Great stay for Lainey Wilson concert at Harvey’s. We easily walked to the venue and had dinner on the way home. The property is beautiful and quiet. They even let you bring your 🐶💕 This is where we will always stay at South Lake Tahoe!

Our full kitchen suite was very quiet and clean. Many options to eat within 15 minute walk. No view of lake, but wasn’t very far walk or drive. There are also hiking trails nearby that we walked to from motel.

This hotel was absolutely perfect for our stay. Very clean, cutsie, cozy, comfortable, perfect location and provided a great ambiance. It’s an older property but it’s kept up. We absolutely loved the year round heated pool and hot tub. There’s nothing like sitting in the 30 degree weather, in a steamy hot tub with the beautiful snow top Tahoe mountains as your view. We’ll definitely be staying here again!

I was pleasantly surprised by the cuteness of the property and room. The only negative was the breakfast. The options weren't good and the way you have to let someone serve you is awkward. I understand you probably don't want people taking unnecessarily large amounts of food but at least let me pour my own coffee! She poured in cream then coffee and then handed it to me with a packet of sugar, not that it mattered because the coffee was AWFUL. I literally tossed the full cup in the trash. Aside from that the place is great!

We like this hotel and have stayed here multiple times. Breakfast is good and the complimentary DVD and popcorn is a great perk, which our daughter loves! The only drawbacks are that the hot tub is often maxed out with one large family or group (seriously…this is usually the case), and also the DVD players have been unusable on a few trips, where we needed to call the front desk to come fix it. This is a buzzkill, when you just want to relax after skiing and then there is a technical problem requiring a hotel employee to come in for 10 minutes to find out the issue. It’s not a perfect hotel, but it is pretty good:)

We were staying here several times this winter season. Area is just fine. You can walk to nearby shops. What disappointed us on last visit was breakfast. It was not perfect before, but it shrinks to bread, artificial butter, some oatmeals, horn, banana, coffee. Stuff served was the cheapest one with ton of additives, doesn’t taste like food. One cheese horn has 28 additives. You can do better.

Our room was very clean and had all the necessary comforts of home (refrigerator, microwave, glasses, mugs, utensils, TV, DVD player, toiletries, heaters, and fans, etc.). Our Ambassador room was a good size for a couple, but might be a bit tight for more people. We enjoyed using the hot tub and lounge chairs. They had lots of free bikes available, which were very easy and convenient to check out, but keep in mind that they are single-gear beach cruisers. Great for riding on flat areas through town and to the beach. The free breakfast is very basic, but perfect if you want something light in the morning or on the go. During my stay, they had donuts, toast, sliced fruit, hard-boiled eggs, coffee, and tea. If you like a hot, substantial breakfast, plan to make your own in your room or go out to eat. We only stayed one night, so we did not take advantage of the horseshoes, cornhole, board games, fire pit, free movie rentals, and other activities. Overall, the Americana Village is a good value. We were very satisfied with this Hotel, The room had a 2 burner stove for cooking, refrigerated was cold and ready for us, bed was so comfy. The pool was heated, nice hot tub and Sauna available. The continental breakfast rolls were not fresh and dry but coffee and eggs were great!.

Room was clean and property was very quiet. It was within walking distance within several local businesses. My wife and I really enjoyed Basecamp Beer Garden and Three Pines Coffee while we stayed. We didn't realize the place didn't have air conditioning until after we arrived, but opening the window at night with a fan in the window helped a lot.
