The room was smelling bad. And they didn’t clean the bed sheets of one of my bed. Pool wasn’t clean. Not convenient as it’s closed by 8 pm . Morning breakfast wasn’t good enough .

Found ticks on two of us. Daughter said she felt bugs crawling on her at night. Found a pile of ants eating some food by the pull out. Pool was nasty, you could see stuff floating on top and couldn’t see the bottom. Complained to hotels.com and got 15% off. I booked this because the high ratings. Absolutely incorrect. They must be written by bots with AI.

When we arrived we notified the front desk staff that there was some type of food (appeared to be scrambled eggs) all over the hallway floor. She thanked us for letting her know, but then nothing was done about it. The mess was still there the following day and at the time of our checkout! That’s not okay! The other complaint would be the pool hours. One reason we often book hotel stays is so that our kids can play in the pool. We enjoyed the pool for a couple of hours upon check-in, but needed to stop swimming for dinner. When we returned we needed to put our kids to bed and we discovered that the pool would not open until noon the next day! We had to checkout at 11, so that meant not being able to swim at all. The kids were super bummed. While the pool may be a unique need to our family it was definitely off-putting. Aside from the mess in the hallway our room wasn’t the cleanest either. There were greasy handprints on the walls, stains on the bed skirt, and our shower didn’t appear very clean. While the price was fair, we still expect to find our room and the hotel clean and I would say this stay left a lot to be desired.

Upon entering The hotel it was pleasant to cozy and comfortable. We got room 117 on lower floor, had an odd oder after inspection the room was not deep cleaned, trash behind nightstands,couch as well as under beds, poop like stains on curtains as well as dried ketchup on walls, previous peoples belongings left behind. The outside of the building had trash everywhere, we almost didnt stay. No bed bugs found, hotel has a lot of potential if cleaned.

The room was gross. It looked like some kind of liquid exploded on the walls. There was mold and mildew in the shower/tub, it smelled heavily of fabuloso cleaner, and I found a cockroach in the dryer vent. Breakfast was subpar at best.

The hotel was very clean and spotless. The room was comfy and well appointed. It was located close to the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. We also went to a Tigers baseball game in downtown Detroit which was about a half hour away by car. Our stay was most enjoyable and would stay there again.

Customer service was good, especially the breakfast service. I had 2 toddlers with me and they wanted just sausage and just sausage was exactly what they got! Pool was cold, beds were comfortable, mold in the shower, and girls thought the hiding spots in the room were COOL!

The mattresses and pillows were the poorest quality that I’ve experienced at a hotel. The mattress was lumpy, squeaky, and had a deep dip in the middle. The pillows too were lumpy and uncomfortable.

The room was a nice size, the bed was comfortable, and the towels were big enough to go all the way around one’s body. The shower was odd; there is a small piece that needs to be pulled down to engage the shower. It’s not intuitive , so it took a bit to get things going. That is a small issue, though; everything else was very nice.

The woman who checked us in was great. She was kind and gave us an extended checkout of Noon. However, in the morning, the cleaning staff kept trying to kick us out, telling us there was no late checkouts. At that point, we were not ready to leave (still taking showers) as we had been told we had a late checkout.

James at the checkin desk was excellent! Very professional and he explained everything to us and answered all our questions. Very impressed with grab bars whiched help my husband feel secure. Thank you James & Comfort Inn Suites.

The gentleman at the front desk when I arrived was so friendly. He was the last friendly person I would encounter at this hotel. It was " ok" as far as clean, corners obviously don't get attention. The hotel apparently has a towel shortage. I contemplated going out to buy my own. The ladies at the front desk were extremely rude and condescending.

Shady area with shady people hanging around the front. Front desk staff nice, but they charged my credit card twice for the deposit and it was quite the inconvenience to get it put back on my card. The mattress was incredibly comfortable. The "free" breakfast was lacking.

The hotel was great. It was on the outskirts of the hustle and bustle of downtown. Check-in was easy and fast. The room was nice and clean and they had breakfast. I would stay here again

Shady area with shady people hanging around the front. Front desk staff nice, but they charged my credit card twice for the deposit and it was quite the inconvenience to get it put back on my card. The mattress was incredibly comfortable. The "free" breakfast was lacking.

Room was very nice and the bed comfortable. Shower's water pressure was weak and the breakfast was the worst I've experienced in at least 10 years of business travel.

Staff was very helpful. Room was stuffy with strange order, had to air it out. Beds are pretty awful. Breakfast offering was horrible. At 6:15, mostly empty, nearly no fruit, 2 slices of bread, opened a yogurt that was curdled, egg sandwich inedible. Worst ever.

The free breakfast was terrible. The coffee was very bad. Even the scrambled egg was not done right. Only one type of bread. The muffin was hard and not at all tasty. For the high room rent, I expected much better breakfast. I would have walked to McDonalds for breakfast if the weather wasn't cold. And the TV in the dining area was just an antenna one and so very few channels.

Our stay was wonderful. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was great and the staff was absolutely the best. If we ever comd in the area, we will definitely stay here again.

Room: Size, cleanliness, and comfort: Excellent. Neighborhood: Safe and quiet. Pool: Unfortunately never got the opportunity to use it!!! The hours are Noon to 9:00. Many travelers arrive late in the day and would enjoy a splash in the morning, specially kids. Why open the pool very late, 12:00 PM??? Your check-out time is 11:00, so basically you are not allowing 1-night stays to use the pool at all!!! That is disappointing, and I have never seen it in other hotels. Breakfast: No cheese!! Again no cheese!! Be it cream cheese or any other. Only pork sausages, no other options. Eggs are overcooked and dry. This is not a coincidence. They kept bringing more but same condition. All cereal containers are not filled. The person in charge was slow and incompetent.

The room was gross. It looked like some kind of liquid exploded on the walls. There was mold and mildew in the shower/tub, it smelled heavily of fabuloso cleaner, and I found a cockroach in the dryer vent. Breakfast was subpar at best.

Actually,the hotel itself is decent.My only complaints are that the have 1 waffle maker, which makes for long waits during the weekend.The channels did not work,other than the lower ones.

Nice comfortable room and beds. I didn't have time to use the pool or gym, but they looked nice. I love that when I came downstairs at 10 am to get a cup of coffee, they still had breakfast available even though the posed time they close is 10 am. Even though it didn't bother me, it was hard not to notice the wallpaper peeling off and that it was stained with a lot of dirty handprints.

Check in was a breeze. Counter staff was very helpful and polite. Only "complaint" if I can call it that, the pool was only open from noon-9. My daughter wanted to swim before we left but unfortunately couldn't.

We ended up arriving later in the evening and just wanted to get everyone to bed. When we pulled the blankets back to crawl into one of the beds, it smelled like pee. So we took the sheets off and the mattress pad was covered in pee and smelled. The guy at the front counter gave us a new room and told us to take to the manger in the morning. The manger treated us like it was one of our kids that peed on the bed, even though they slept on the pull out couch. We got no apology for the nasty bed. We never got a chance to use the pool, since there was some kind of party going on in the lobby and the pool was packed with kids. Breakfast was okay, but nothing special. The hotel is surrounded by businesses that have gone out of business, so it doesn'tseem like the safest area. If we ever come back to the Detroit area, we would pick a different hotel.
