We really enjoyed our stay. We were very comfortable in our room, enjoyed the hot tub and siting outside. The territorial views from the pool were great. Why stay at a chain hotel when you can enjoy a smaller space with a homey feel and lovely surroundings.

We try to stay in unique places when traveling.This place was awesome!Had a pool to cool off after hiking in Joshua Tree all morning.Quite and relaxing.Lots of oddities which is very interesting to us .Our room had a kitchen which was convenient.Restaurants close by plenty of parking.

Was a well maintained older hotel. The outside property area was well done. Enjoyed the sitting area in front of our room. I also liked it had a kitchen area. We had a few issues. The first was they did not have hot water hooked up in the kitchen. Hard to do the dishes correctly without hot water. The Hot tub was just warm water, would have liked it to have been hotter. I also wish there would have been an Ice machine. That said I would stay there again.

During my recent stay at the Harmony Motel in 29 Palms, charm and the need for maintenance defined my experience. The motel's nostalgic ambiance initially appealed to me, yet it needed some care. The assistant manager was friendly at check-in, even preparing the air conditioner. However, she left the windows open, causing the room to be excessively warm until late at night. The next morning, she confused us by asking if we were staying another night, despite our prepayment for three nights. A day before departure, the housekeeper entered without knocking, apologized, and left. I confirmed it was a mistake and later received an apology from the assistant manager. Our spacious room had a kitchen with a stove, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, and utensils. Mostly clean, but the kitchen walls and floor needed a thorough cleaning, and dead bugs were present. The small bathroom lacked hooks. The bed was fairly comfortable, but the pillows were old and flat. The window air conditioner struggled during hot periods, and Wi-Fi was extremely slow. The motel grounds were charming but neglected: scattered leaves, broken pathway lights, an uninviting pool area with a makeshift fence, dirty furniture, and cloudy water with debris. Check-out involved stripping bedding and texting an unknown number, which felt inconvenient. Despite these issues, the motel was quiet and comfortable with its proximity to Joshua Tree National Park, about 7 miles away, being an advantage.

Classic old school motel experience. large rooms with kitchenettes, vaulted ceilings, yet enough vintage "vibe" to make the stay unique. Best feature is the large jacuzzi amidst the lovely manicured courtyard, perfect for stargazing. Great amenable host who looks after each guest personally. A welcome reprieve from the Airbnb "same town" experience so much of Joshua Tree has become. Can't wait to stay here again!

Harmony Motel is an absolutely lovely motel, at a great rate. I stayed for a total of 3 nights, in two different rooms. It is situated slightly outside 29 Palms, a bit back from route 62. So there is probably a little less road noise than some of the others that are right on the highway. Every room faces the rising sun (not the highway), with their own patio space with table and chairs. They are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the showers have more than adequate water pressure. The parking is close, and the owner was thoughtful in making my rooms accessible. The first room had use of the shared kitchen, with its library (if you're a U2 fan, this is extra fun). It is stocked with plates and utensils, small pots, full fridge and freezer, microwave, and toaster over. Coffee maker. Anything you'd need while on the road. The second room had its own very spacious kitchen, with all the amenities. Including a stove. The pool was comfortably cool to balance the blazing heat. The grounds are decorated tastefully in a way that feels like a mini-retreat. The only reason I gave 4 stars for the property is the rooms are a little dated, and some people may want something that looks top of the line. But if you appreciate the individuality of that era of motels, you'll love it. Literally no complaints. The owner is lovely. This is a GREAT value. I will come back whenever I go to Joshua Tree NP!

Very nice place to stay while visiting Joshua Tree National Park. Check-in was easy and the staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed having the full kitchen. The pool area was nice and clean, just a little to cold due to the weather. Would recommend and stay again.

This is a classic example of you get what you pay for…so to be fair the stay was very reasonable. However, they really need to upgrade the bed linens…it was kind of like sleeping at someone’s grandmothers house. To me the bedding needs to be of “Hotel” quality. The comforter was also very stained…. In addition where she had us pull our car around to the back required a 4x4 vehicle. I think she had spots up front if you had a car. She is all business and not very welcoming. All of the windows were also open when we arrived…the room did have a musty smell to it. It was cold outside so there was really no reason to have the windows open. But overall it was just OK.

Not at all what was anticipated according to the star rating as the property is outdated. The bed was old and uncomfortable and the kitchen was poorly prepared…i.e. a coffee pot with no filters. Although the bathroom was newly updated and clean the remainder of the room was not as tidy.

The motel is exactly what you would expect from the website and Expedia website. The room we stayed in was large with an attached kitchen. Everything was clean. Even tho it was a "full" kitchen, the frig was small. There was a coffee pot but no coffee or filters. The bathroom was small, shower decent, little packets of shampoo and conditioner. Location is close to the Oasis entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. There is a hot tub and pool but we didn't use either. Expedia reservation said we could check in by 10pm. We were driving from Ventura and wasn't sure with traffic, if we would get there in time. I called the motel to let them know. The owner/manager said she was a small motel and was only staying open to 930pm. Fortunately we got there by 9pm. I don't know what would have happened if we were late. Would she have offered to leave a key for us? She's in the hospitality business so a little more hospitality would have been appreciated

Good little spot just off the main hwy. Owner/front desk very nice and had paperwork ready when we arrived to check in. Basic motel but everything was neat and clean. Full kitchen but we only used the fridge. I would have given higher score but AC was loud and not adjustable. It was either all the way on or all the way off. Overall a good place to stay.

Stayed for two nights in Harmony Motel. Location is good to visit Joshua Tree National Park. King bed is comfortable and the full kitchen is very handy to prepare for light meals. The only negative side is it's a little bit noisy at night since it's close to the highway.

We enjoyed the fun and creative design of the property overall and the unique rooms. The view from our patio was beautiful. We felt a bit away-from-it-all even although it was just off the main road. The motel is close to the North entrance to Joshua Tree National Park which usually has much shorter line at the entrance at the west side of the park.

The gardens are lovely, and the place looks cute. When I first walked in to Room #6, it felt like I'd gone to visit Mamaw: the room is original to the early years of tourism and has the feel of an old house. In keeping with that old-timey theme, there are no electrical outlets except in the kitchen (I blew my hair dry in the kitchen!) and I couldn't use my c-Pap machine for sleeping. The bed is bad and the pillows are horrible. The bathroom is teensy-tiny; I'm a biggish woman, and I had to be careful not to damage my hip on the corner of the vanity sitting down to pee. The shower is large but had an odd memory foam kind of mat that seemed creepy to me. It's an oddly utilized space best suited for skinny men, seems to me. I wanted to like this motel, but I couldn't wait to leave. I count it as an experience I don't have to repeat.

Classic old school motel experience. large rooms with kitchenettes, vaulted ceilings, yet enough vintage "vibe" to make the stay unique. Best feature is the large jacuzzi amidst the lovely manicured courtyard, perfect for stargazing. Great amenable host who looks after each guest personally. A welcome reprieve from the Airbnb "same town" experience so much of Joshua Tree has become. Can't wait to stay here again!

Amazing spaces to relax with a hot tub in the evenings and a big comfy bed to crash in. The room was huge with a full kitchen, bedroom and separate bathroom. The kitchen had little touches of home like tea bags, napkins, any dish or utensil you could wish for and a coffee maker with filters available! We loved everything about it and will definitely return!

Very nice place to stay while visiting Joshua Tree National Park. Check-in was easy and the staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed having the full kitchen. The pool area was nice and clean, just a little to cold due to the weather. Would recommend and stay again.

U2 and Jack K dont make up for this disaster. I like staying in unusual places but... the weather caught up with us. It turned very cold for California and the room didnt have enough heat to keep us warm. So bad I got up and turned the oven on and sat in the large kitchen. The vaulted view was broken down wood fences and corrugated tin panels.

Hôtel situé à quelques kilomètres de l'entrée de Joshua tree Park. Composé de 6 chambres ,celle que nous avions réservée n'avait pas de cuisine, ainsi il n'y avait aucune commodité,pas de réfrigérateur,ni cafetière.. vraiment le strict minimum, j'ai demandé si une machine à glaçons était disponible, la réceptionniste,peu aimable m'a conseillé d'aller en acheter au supermarché...(Elle est finalement venue le soir nous apporter un sac de glace). Les lits sont confortables, mais le mobilier est vetuste, la salle de bain exigue... l'accueil a été plutôt désagréable,avec une suite de recommandations (pas de tabac, pas de nourriture,pas trop de papier dans les toilettes..etc ..et surtout à plusieurs reprises de ne pas poser les valises sur le lit...)..en bref ce genre de motel peut convenir à certaines personnes,mais ce ne fut pas notre cas... c'est dommage car le cadre est fantastique dans le désert..

Ash, the manager (owner?) was so friendly and accommodating. Very 60’s vibe, old fashion motels reminded me of my childhood. The room was very clean, simple decor (liked the wall colors) compatible with bed linens (loved the breathable quilt bedspread) and the beds were comfortable. Great pricing for the area as well. Table and chairs outside each room to drink a glass of your own wine and taking in the views.

Excellent stay. Easy to find, clean, quiet with comfortable bed. Kitchen has the necessary equipment if you bring supplies and large table in front of large screened window. Small sofa in bedroom with multiple windows. Lovely mountain view. I was at end unit Number 6. Manager was friendly, courteous even when I came late after 10pm office closing hour. She gave helpful restaurant suggestions and even rescued essential equipment I left behind, running to my car. It was a much better experience than your average motel. Highly recommend.

The motel is exactly what you would expect from the website and Expedia website. The room we stayed in was large with an attached kitchen. Everything was clean. Even tho it was a "full" kitchen, the frig was small. There was a coffee pot but no coffee or filters. The bathroom was small, shower decent, little packets of shampoo and conditioner. Location is close to the Oasis entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. There is a hot tub and pool but we didn't use either. Expedia reservation said we could check in by 10pm. We were driving from Ventura and wasn't sure with traffic, if we would get there in time. I called the motel to let them know. The owner/manager said she was a small motel and was only staying open to 930pm. Fortunately we got there by 9pm. I don't know what would have happened if we were late. Would she have offered to leave a key for us? She's in the hospitality business so a little more hospitality would have been appreciated

If you are looking for a relaxing, quiet, no frills stay just outside Joshua Tree National Park, this is a good choice. Room was spacious with a working kitchen. Parking is convenient. Restaurants are nearby. Cannot rate the pool since we did not use it due to it being winter.

We try to stay in unique places when traveling.This place was awesome!Had a pool to cool off after hiking in Joshua Tree all morning.Quite and relaxing.Lots of oddities which is very interesting to us .Our room had a kitchen which was convenient.Restaurants close by plenty of parking.

Harmony Motel is an absolutely lovely motel, at a great rate. I stayed for a total of 3 nights, in two different rooms. It is situated slightly outside 29 Palms, a bit back from route 62. So there is probably a little less road noise than some of the others that are right on the highway. Every room faces the rising sun (not the highway), with their own patio space with table and chairs. They are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the showers have more than adequate water pressure. The parking is close, and the owner was thoughtful in making my rooms accessible. The first room had use of the shared kitchen, with its library (if you're a U2 fan, this is extra fun). It is stocked with plates and utensils, small pots, full fridge and freezer, microwave, and toaster over. Coffee maker. Anything you'd need while on the road. The second room had its own very spacious kitchen, with all the amenities. Including a stove. The pool was comfortably cool to balance the blazing heat. The grounds are decorated tastefully in a way that feels like a mini-retreat. The only reason I gave 4 stars for the property is the rooms are a little dated, and some people may want something that looks top of the line. But if you appreciate the individuality of that era of motels, you'll love it. Literally no complaints. The owner is lovely. This is a GREAT value. I will come back whenever I go to Joshua Tree NP!

Amazing spaces to relax with a hot tub in the evenings and a big comfy bed to crash in. The room was huge with a full kitchen, bedroom and separate bathroom. The kitchen had little touches of home like tea bags, napkins, any dish or utensil you could wish for and a coffee maker with filters available! We loved everything about it and will definitely return!

We stayed one night at Harmony Motel to attend a concert at Pappy & Harriet’s in nearby Pioneer Town. The room was clean, simple and nice. It as an adorable desert bungalow feeling on the exterior. There was a pool & jacuzzi that looked in good condition but we didn’t bring swimwear to try out ( plus it was cold at night). It was quiet and private only a couple of units on the motel property ( about 6). The king bedroom had a nice small kitchen in the joining room with full sink, small fridge stove / oven and kitchen table. We didn’t need to fix food for overnight but it looked to be kept up clean and was a nice option. It had AC & a wall furnace for heat. It was cool at night so we had the little heater on. A great stay overall I’d recommended it to friends & chose to stay there again if I was going to Joshua Tree area. Thank you Harmony Motel 🎶 ! My Tourist Tip is Just add a little Neon to your already cute motel sign and it would be perfect !🎶

The motel is exactly what you would expect from the website and Expedia website. The room we stayed in was large with an attached kitchen. Everything was clean. Even tho it was a "full" kitchen, the frig was small. There was a coffee pot but no coffee or filters. The bathroom was small, shower decent, little packets of shampoo and conditioner. Location is close to the Oasis entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. There is a hot tub and pool but we didn't use either. Expedia reservation said we could check in by 10pm. We were driving from Ventura and wasn't sure with traffic, if we would get there in time. I called the motel to let them know. The owner/manager said she was a small motel and was only staying open to 930pm. Fortunately we got there by 9pm. I don't know what would have happened if we were late. Would she have offered to leave a key for us? She's in the hospitality business so a little more hospitality would have been appreciated

It's an aged motel but the rooms are well kept, clean, comfortable and have character. Really nice pool and views of the desert. Apparently U2 stayed in room #4 when writing the album Joshua Tree - that's pretty cool and it was a good album. Just on the outskirts of 29 Palms so it's in a good location for a peaceful evening and night's sky. The staff member on duty was great and very helpful also the manager was nice and accommodating. Would recommend when staying in the area - only 10-15 minutes or so from Joshua Tree National Park entrance.

We were received with the manager on a call. While we filled in the form etc she was still on a call, after it finally ended finally we got a lecture on keeping the door closed. She walked us to our room without explaing much but to check if the windows were closed. The bathroom one was actually open i saw when she left. The ac had been running from 15.00, combined with the ceiling fan and a separate fan and only around 01.00 it felt comfortable. In tje reception are was a picture of u2 staying in the hotel, i guess that was the time the bought the last matras as this was a big pit. Can’t recommend it.

This hotel is totally charming, clean, and impeccable. The room could be more accurately described as a suite, having a large separate kitchen with a dining set, so In this price range, exceptional. I was comfortable, actually delighted, from the moment I stepped in. The room was big, the kitchen lacked nothing, the bed was totally comfortable and the air-conditioning well-maintained. The room was decorated and furnished with a distinctive mid-century styling, which was immediately appealing, if you notice things like that, which I do, and done so without a speck of pretentiousness. The pool and deck we’re must-haves. The owner was helpful, obviously proud of this property, friendly and likable. I could’ve spent more time with her if the chance had arisen. The housekeeper was equally warm and friendly. Finding the hotel and checking in were a breeze. There was parking off- street fully screened from the street.close to the room. A short walk of 7/10 of a mile down the road was Stater Bros. supermarket which is an excellent supermarket. Can’t say anything but good about this hotel. I would not hesitate for a moment to stay there again. Actually I would look forward to staying there again.
