This property was disgusting. It had prostitution and drug users all over the place. Owners had just taken over. Our room had a leak in the roof when we came back from dinner and was about to bust the ceiling wide open. The pool was closed. There was no breakfast buffet or even coffee available. It was absolutely horrible.

There were roaches in the rooms. Some fixtures in the room were old and broken. The pool was green, they should have just drained it. The breakfast only had limited waffle mix, cereal,a few pieces of toast. The juice machine worked and there was coffee.

Room was not what I expected. Showed signs of age. Fridge was rusty. Curtains were not connected at top properly. Never got the internet pass word. Breakfast was good but no ice was available in the one ice machine on property. Would class as a two star establishment at best.

Black mold.. Requested a refund and still awaiting response. I didn’t end up staying at this motel as soon as I walked in I was hit with the smell of mildew you can see mold on the ceiling. I immediately knew that I was not comfortable staying in this room.

The rooms had bed bugs, I had rented 3 rooms and all 3 had bed bugs. My girlfriend was bitten several times on the arm and legs. When I talked to the attendant he said they knew that they had them and did not doing anything about it. This is no way to run a business at all

This hotel is really nasty, dead bugs and roaches everywhere, floor was visibly stained and sticky, there was literal garbage piled up under the furniture. The sheets and towels were stained and clearly had not been washed in a long time.

When I arrived the room first given had puddles on the floors from the air conditioner. Moved to a second room and lamp shades were missing or torn. Over all second room was dirty, flooring was unfinished, sheets were stained. TV was mounted to wall but appeared ready to fall as it was crooked. Room had a weird smell. Air conditioner was extremely loud. Over all appearance of building was messy unkept and dirty. Cigar and cigarette but littered the ground everywhere. Staff was curt and a bit rude. Repair person complained about working 38 days straight. Wall lamp fell off wall when I moved a lamp shade. Towels were taken and not replaced on two occasions or only one wash cloth was left. Over all would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

After a long drive we arrive to the hotel to be barred from entering the lobby all together! The attendant mumbled or spoke very little pointing in the direction of our room. When we got to it, the first thing we saw was a tiny room with two double beds, not queens! And on the first bed was a large stain. On to the bathroom which had the shower curtain wrapped around the grab bar. My family of four would not be able to stay in this room, so we left immediately! And I trusted Wyndham!!!!

Room was clean. The hot water on tub faucet continuously ran. Had to shut the bathroom door to shut out the noise. This caused the bathroom to become a sauna. The toilet had condensation on the tank which leaked on the floor creating a puddle. The fridge fan was loud when running. At 4:30am someone came by knocking on all the doors. Apparently he was drunk/stoned. He proceeded to do this twice.

The hair dryer didnt work. When i reported it they didnt have another one to replace it. The curtain rod didnt work correctly. When i reported it they didnt do anything about it. The king size bed sank in the middle.

This hotel can use an update. Everything was relatively clean but when we arrived to our room, we noticed that the part that attached to the door for the swing bar lock was almost falling off as if someone had tried hard to enter with that part engaged. We also noticed that the smoke detector was missing. We were heading out and asked at the front desk to have those items fixed as they were safety issues and when we arrived back a few hours later, both items were fixed. Bed sheet had a cigarette burn hole and it seemed that when the room was 'cleaned' the burn hole sheet ended up on the other bed. Maybe they just have multiple sheets with burn holes, I can't be sure. We also had a wobbly toilet that was leaking water but we just put a towel down to deal with that. Staff was super nice all around, the front desk people were kind and the breakfast area lady was super helpful & sweet. Breakfast was good with waffles, sandwiches, fruit, cereal, bakery items. Overall decent stay, mostly because the staff was attentive to issues that we asked be fixed, but definitely needs updating.

Severely unmaintained room. The the antislip safety strips on the tub floor were completely worn away. The shower curtain rod has obviously been used to provide a safety bar for stepping into & out of the tub, so it was half way to falling off and the curtain would not stay in place, allowing shower spray all over the floor. Wall plug by bed was an electrical hazard because it was not properly installed. The weather stripping along the base of the room door was unattached and bent, allowing bugs and possibly snakes entry (not experienced during our stay, which we shortened from 3 nights to 2). Wyndham clearly does not have a corporate stay & review process for this dump.

For a busy 4th of July weekend, this hotel delivered a respectable 4-star stay that was excellent value at less than $350 for 4 days and three nights. Really can’t beat that price. What truly stood out was the exceptional staff. They made check-in quick and easy, and consistently responded promptly and cheerfully to all my requests for extra items, always delivering them fresh and clean. The breakfast spread was fantastic, a real highlight that saved us money. It offered a wide variety of choices, from items like bacon, eggs, waffles, bagels, cereal, fresh juice and coffee, all kept well-stocked. Our room was generally clean and fully equipped, with every utility working perfectly, including the AC, TV, fridge, iron, and a shower with great, hot pressure. While some aesthetic updates like fresh paint, caulking, better lighting, and thicker curtains would make the room nicer, these were minor issues. Although I saw homeless individuals around the surrounding area, I always felt completely safe due to the constant presence of local law enforcement. I was never approached or had an issue. With new management in place, it feels like this hotel is on the path to some promising upgrades that could easily push it to a solid 4 or 5-star experience.

Finally the room was filthy and in disrepair showing a bathroom wall sheetrock hole caused by doorknob This hotel was the worst I had ever been in all of my travels.

I booked a one-night stay at Baymont by Wyndham Wilmington through Expedia while in town for a concert, and the experience was appalling. There was nothing I did not enjoy about this 2 night stay. All staff was friendly and accomadating. The breakfast was a good variety. The attendant kept it well stocked and clean.The location is perfect for the different activities and sites that Wilmington has to offer.We will stay there again.

First check in was very slow. I understand that it was late but atanding in the outer lobby for 15 minutes does not make it ok. Secondly the Wilmington Police came thru as i was taking my bag in and people were scattering. Third once in my room i turned on the tv to find it didn't work. And when i attempted to call the desk i found the room phone non- functional as well. And the signs up in the breakfast area admonished GUESTS from taking food to their room is a bit foolish. And lastly I requested the manager contact me on 8/5/2025, which has not happened as of this writing.

They didn't ckean room so well. Kids spilled a drink wr cleaned it up. Than we use s clean towel it was black from dirt. I use sanitize wipes to wipe the fridge. Family stayed only two towels in room. Had problems with the remote. They fixed that. Had get clean tiwels two days. Didn't evrn make beds or empty tradh on room.

Got there early and the staff were very friendly. I didn't like that Wrightsville charges $5.50/ hour for beach parking everywhere. We were just driving around and never saw free parking. (It is $27.50 for the day.) But the staff at the hotel were great! I had a couple of things I needed to figure out (not room related) and they were very knowledgeable. Less than a mile from the highway, Hooters, Chic-fil-a, Olive Garden. Other places not much further. Did I say the staff was friendly?

It smells musty and like old cigarette smoke. The staff were nice. Seems to be in a sketchy area. Next to a giant convenience store. Heard loud cars coming and going all night. It was ok. Get what you pay for. Bed was comfy. Room was functional.worked for a quick impromptu beach overnight.

The curtain didn't fully close so there was no privacy from the parking lot. There was a hole burned into the bedding. It was not a new hole. The room smelled like gallons of cleaning solution was used to cover the smell of several crime scenes. The mirror was dirty. The area looked unsafe. The manager argued against giving me a full refund, even though I checked out an hour after checking in. Never stayed the night.

The staff was amazing, continental breakfast was great. our room and the pool area were clean. The facility was located within easy access to everything we were looking for. We were less than 10 minutes from the beach and our river cruise, just up the road from several restaurants of all varieties, and Walmart and Target were just minutes away. Would stay here again!

The facility was enough to lay your head and go to sleep. There was a lot of yelling outside, and people right outside the room door that I wasn’t comfortable with. It’s located on market Street, so not too far from anything, just not my first choice.

There were roaches in the rooms. Some fixtures in the room were old and broken. The pool was green, they should have just drained it. The breakfast only had limited waffle mix, cereal,a few pieces of toast. The juice machine worked and there was coffee.

The air-condition was loud. There was black stuff on the ceiling. Breakfast hours were great, from 6 to 9 AM. However, by 7:15 there was hardly any food left. No milk for cereal, no butter, no jam, no honey, no waffle batter. Hardly any coffee, only a few slices of bread. The property advertised breakfast, but none is available...???

The room I booked was not available nor was it habitable. Walking into the room the bed qas not made, towels were outside the door. There was trash on the tv stand and counters, there was an extra toilet just sitting in the room and a plunger in the other toilet. It looked as if someone was sleeping there already. I do not understand how the staff is not aware of room conditions. Even when i was assigned another room there was pee stains on the toilet seat. Also there was no breakfast available in the morning.

I stayed there tonight’s and all I can smell was marijuana. It was very noisy all night. I went to get coffee in the morning and the older lady in the kitchen area wouldn’t give me no cream for my coffee. Awful breakfast selection. They only offered a waffle cereal or toast. I have stayed at a lot of Baymont hotels. That offer an awesome breakfast and doesn’t smell like marijuana doesn’t have people wandering around all night long would not. Recommend this hotel at all.

A midgrade . A step or two up from a motel six, but that’s about . Nothing super . Very average I would say two just three starstar hotel. It was fine, although the room was really small. Nice but Smaller than expected. Comfortable bed. The only real complaint I had is that they were out of everything at the breakfast by 9 AM and they serve until 930. We got there close to nine and they had no more waffle mix and weren’t getting any more. Everything else was pretty much out by 9 o’clock. They need to keep it full until the end of the breakfast at 9:30.

3 cops cars in parking lot when we pulled in. Officer told us it wasn't the best place to stay when we asked why police were present. We were put in 1st floor room that smelled moldy/musty. Asked to be moved and once settled into 2nd floor room found out tv didn't work. Was told someone would come up to fix it but never came.

Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing and nowhere near worth the money we paid. The cleanliness of the hotel is one of the biggest issues. We saw roaches throughout the property, and unfortunately, we found one (alive) in our room on the last day of our trip. The housekeeping schedule is a joke. They claim that to save water and supplies, they only replenish linens and change the trash every 3 days. This is an unusual practice, but we accepted it... until it never happened. 6 days and our sheets were never changed once. 6 days and our towels and trash only were replenished once. I stopped by the front desk to talk about this issue upon check-out and was given some half excuse involving a conversation like, "The housekeepers will knock and if you make your presence known in the room, they won't come in. If you're not in there, they will come in." ...yeah, that's typically how housekeeping works. We were out of our room no later than 10am every day and did not return until 10-11pm every night (we seriously were trying to do everything we could to not have to spend a lot of time in our room) The housekeeping crew had plenty of time to come in and at least do the bare minimum while we were away. I contacted the manager via email, and have had no response. I have also tried to call multiple times and no response. No security fee returned, even though we took very good care of the room. Overall, don't stay here. It's disgusting.

Unfortunately I will have to say that I was not happy with our room, it was supposed to be a upgraded room that I paid for and it clearly wasn't, the room was not clean at all, the top of baseboards were filthy and the room was not good.
