Breakfast was basically nonexistent unless you like waffles. That is all they really offered. The ice machine was broken but the guy at the front desk always got some for me.

The bathroom floor boards were coming undone and the shower curtain was dirty. It’s not the worst places I’ve stayed at that was cheap but the thing I disliked the most was the lack of lighting in the parking area. I didn’t feel like my car was safe during the night.

They were nice but...the washer & dryer were broken, as was the vending machine, pop machine, ice machine. They did have ice to give us. Breakfast was coffee, toast, waffles, a little cereal. Really pathetic.

Advertised free breakfast, which was a reason it was selected. Had choice of cold cereal, yogurt, and small pre-packaged muffins. Ended up eating breakfast at off-site restaurant, costing us a fair amount. Super 8 is off my list of choices.Also, vending and ice machines were out of order.

Bed was very lumpy. The top of the mattress was somehow all folded over. Windows on the ground floor could use a security stick. Breakfast was good: waffles, yogurt, cereal, toast etc. Ice maker was broken but they gave me a small bag of ice instead so I appreciated that.

Central location, quiet. Vending machine and ice machine not working. Rooms were ok for cleanliness but could be better. However the beds were really comfortable and the staff were able to give us ice in a bag. Breakfast ok, pretty limited for proteins.

The room was very unclean, the floor was sticky, the tub had hair in it, the air conditioner unit did not work properly, the curtain was coming off, the exterior door was not secure and our door key card did not work properly. They over charged for the pet fee. We left before our stay was over. Will not stay at a Super 8 again.

This was a very old property. The reception area was ok, there was no elevator to upper floors. The carpets were worn and dirty on the steps and hallway. The floors in our room were sticky. Your shoes stuck to the floor and when barefoot you had to wipe the bottom of your feet before getting in bed. There was old food on the floor under the desk, one of the 2 beds did not have a blanket, the phone did not work, the bathtub drain was covered with black hair which had to be removed. For $93 plus fees and taxes this was an embarrassment to Cortez and Super 8 motels. After this experience I will not stay at another Super 8 anywhere. I remember when Wyndham meant something.

Room was dirty. Toilet hadn't been cleaned. Pee on toilet seats. YUCK! Towels were stained. Property is old and run down. Parking in rear has poor lighting and not secure. Good part was it was cheap. Guess you get what you pay for but even then pretty poor value at this hotel.

Room was not clean. Counters had old stains from previous guest. Sheets had stains. Floors were dirty. Very dim lighting. Smelled very old and unclean. I did not get a chance to take pictures. I got in looked around and left. I still got charged for leaving.

Filthy motel. I wasnt expecting much but..first room had food on the floor and hair on the nightstand and the bathroom was straight out of a dump. Moved to second room. Not much better. Ended up going to Walmart for cleaning supplies so I could feel better about being there. Got ready for bed, pulled covers back only to find it had been slept in already without being changed out. Other bed was better, but this place is way too run down.

We believe the air conditioner is set at probably 75° and will not go any lower. The room is very dark with only one lamp. The front desk did get another lamp from another bedroom when I insisted because you could hardly see in the room

The hotel hallways were dirty. There were several small piles of dirt outside our room. We had reservations for a 3 night stay. The same piles of dirt were there all 3 days. The room was noisy. You can hear the people above walking across their room. Air conditioning unit was noisy. The bathroom is very small. They have no remote control for the T.V. But the beds were comfortable.

Hotel being refurbished. Unfortunately the people working were running noisey saws and other tools at 2:00 AM for about an hour. I cannot belive the hotel staff allowed that but then in the AM there was NO COFFEE in the breakfast room but the hotel clerk stepped away from his desk for over an HOUR and there were NO replies or answers on the phone numbers left at the front desk if you "needed help" I will NEVER AGAIN STAY THERE.

Absolute horrible service. Checked into room. When I went into the room, the bed was filthy. Massive balls of hair under the sheets when you pulled the blankets back. Pillowcases coated with what looked like dog hair. When I went to the front desk to ask if I could have the room turned down or swapped to a different room, the gentleman got irate and told me that he would just refund me and I could leave and that all of their rooms were like that and they all had hair. And if it was that much of a problem, I should just go elsewhere. Do not suggest staying here. The gentleman who runs the front desk has some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I get this as a budget motel but I don't think it's too much to ask for at least having clean sheets. I have a newborn baby and I'm not really interested in laying her down on sheets that have obviously not been cleaned.

We had to wait 1 hour at the front desk to check in. The individual responsible for front desk service simply was not there. When he returned the front desk he didn’t even care to say sorry or anything to us. He was high & we can sense the smell of weed. Very very unprofessional. This was not thr end. The very room we were provided with was not clean at all. Looked like it was not cleaned following the last stay. When we asked the front desk why is the room not clean, he didn't apologize. Just gave us a new room. Again very unorofessional. I have stayed at many super 8 hotels in usa, but this one was tge worst. There were even bad bugs in the room. I don't recommend the hotel even to my enemies.

The building and surround was in very poor condition - old discarded chair, card entrance device broken at back door. Bathroom had very old worn out fixtures, big hole in the ceiling, dirty worn floor. Furnishing were more typical of a Super 8. I counted on the same standard I have experience with Super 8 motels and this was way below the standard.

This was the worst night ever!!! There were drunk people right across the hall. They were fighting, hollering and banging around ALL night long!! One guy tried to come in our room 3 times and was banging on our door at 3:30 in the morning!! I contacted the front desk earlier around 11:30 and told him what was going on, he said he would check it out but never did!!! I have 2 small children and they were totally freaked out at all the commotion going on. On top of that it was filthy and black mold in the bathroom.

You get what you pay for with this one; it’s clean and safe, most people traveling there are tourists who go out hiking all day or people traveling for work. The hotel is old but you can tell they are doing their best to keep it up. I appreciated that each room has a microwave and fridge, and there was plenty of hot water, good water pressure. It’s nothing fancy. The breakfast is just some cereal and muffins and a waffle maker with coffee, but there is a grocery store with a Starbucks right across the street, or Cortez Coffee shop one block away that had breakfast sandwiches. There is a great Mexican place casita de Cortez less than a block away. Plenty of parking, easy to get around. I would stay here again

The bathroom floor boards were coming undone and the shower curtain was dirty. It’s not the worst places I’ve stayed at that was cheap but the thing I disliked the most was the lack of lighting in the parking area. I didn’t feel like my car was safe during the night.

I've stayed here twice, 2 years apart, and enjoyed the stay both times. Close to restaurants and everyplace I wanted to do in Cortez. Great rates and the continental breakfast was great.

The place is a dump with a very drafty room, sorry floor, and a extremely dim TV and didn't have access to change the setting to see the screen better. There was also no breakfast even though the ad says there is.

This hotel was in poor condition and was not clean. In one room, a bed had broken springs, the sink was broken, the shower was broken, and there was no phone. Our other room had a toilet that kept clogging and the room smelled terrible when we checked in. Another room had no cups, shampoo, or soap. All the rooms only had 2 towels despite having 4 people staying in them. The floors were dirty. The walls had been recently painted but it was clearly a poorly done job. The breakfast had no bread or milk both days (but had cereal and a toaster) and when asked if they were going to provide those the employees said no. The rest of the breakfast was terrible. It would be better to not offer breakfast than to set people up for an expectation and serve that. The parking lot was scary and had garbage and broken chairs, plus several people hanging out all evening and late into the night that did not make me feel safe. The fire doors were propped open (with a sign that said to keep closed) and chairs were in the stairway (fire escape). Do NOT stay here.

This motel is in need of serious up grade. It definitely shows its age. The included breakfast was very limited. It consisted of Choice of 2 cereals, no bowls however, white bread for toast, some small one bite muffins, orange juice, milk and coffee plus waffle maker with syrup. None of which I can eat. Property is noisy, I am glad it wasn't full.

check in was fine. room walls are thin, I could hear the TV from 2 rooms down. hallway carpets are not in best shape. shower curtain smelled unpleasant. if you are picky, not the place to stay. otherwise, it's ok. bed was good, I slept or I was very tired.

The price was good. The staff was courteous. The lobby was well done and inviting. Our room was comfortable and clean. Beds were comfortable and everything worked well. The chair in our room could stand a deep cleaning. The outside grounds need some serious TLC and the stairwells could use some vacuuming. The hallways were clean. There are no elevators and you have to go down stairs to get to bottom level and then back upstairs to 2nd and 3rd floor. Not a drawback for most but hard for elderly and impossible for handicapped. We did not try the breakfast but it looked like a basic continental breakfast and the area looked clean. Overall we would recommend and would stay there again.
