Property could use some updates, and the elevators were nightmare to use. Sometimes had to wait for 3 of them to pass before I cpuld get in to go up or down. Overall for the price we were happy with our stay.

The room was spacious and kept very clean throughout my multi-day stay. The location was perfect for my downtown meetings and was also close to the major shopping area there. Bartenders were great and the bar was surprisingly lively. Breakfast was not a good value, though - vastly overpriced for nothing special. Easy walk to better morning options outside the hotel.

The Restaurant was closed although I found out when I tried to order a takeout to work in my room and the phone was disconnected. The little "Market" was woefully understocked, which was the real disappointment nowing the restaurant was closed, nobody paid attention to having something there??

There were major issues with the elevators. They did not want to go to the 11th floor. Also, the restaurant was closed for the week. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

Was awakened at 1:30am by 2 girls next to us arguing and screaming. We called security. They came up and then left. It was quiet for 10 minutes then they started screaming, crying loudly and arguing again. They slammed their door multiple times. This went on for at least an hour. We called security and the front desk again and no one answered. We were terrified and so exhausted the next day. Also several of the staff could not answer our questions because they didn't speak English. Also the pool was green!! It looked nothing like what was advertised. Do not recommend!!

All the service folks were so friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable, price was excellent and location central, easy to get to different parts of downtown, safe. We had friends who stayed in hotels a block away, they paid more, got about the same thing we did. The hotel infrastructure is showing wear. At least one elevator was out of service during our 3-day stay so you stand and wait, and there are a few worn through spots in the carpet, but. My first Sonesta stay and I'd 100% do another.

The property was in a good location, the room was clean. I found it interesting that they will not provide housekeeping unless call to do so in the morning. That was fine by me because I do not require housekeeping every day however, the way I was informed about it when checking in Was surprising. The person that checked me in was extremely unfriendly, which is why I am only giving a three star review for the staff.

The hotel is a great property. It is clean and the staff was friendly but housekeeping was terrible. You have to request a room clean even though they don’t tell you that at check in. I feel like this went away with Covid or at least it should have. After our first night there we had to request three times to have our room cleaned and new towels and coffee for the morning brought to the room. Even after a trip to the front desk, no one came to our room. We had to go out.In the hall and get fresh supplies the next day. Every day we were there something that was supposed to be left in our room was looked over. For example, they would forget our waters one day lids to the coffee another or even the coffee itself. Please get a checklist! I know it all seems little, but it is very annoying to not have these things that they advertise are provided daily. They also have a homeless problem. One night we went down to have a drink in the bar, which is a very nice bar with great bartenders, but when we went to sit down there was a homeless man next to us just watching their TV. Then another day we were waiting on our car from the valet and there was a homeless man pacing back-and-forth screaming and no one seemed to be doing anything about it. If I was traveling by myself, I would have checked out and gone to a different area. I do not recommend this hotel for a girls trip or a single woman traveling alone. Homelessness is everywhere!!!! Walk to Coors stadium was NOT SAFE!

There were cockroaches in my room, which thoroughly grossed me out. While I was immediately moved to a new room seven floors away, the memory of those roaches was so disgusting I decided to leave a night early despite the fact that I had pre-paid for three nights. I should note that I did not see roaches in the new room, but any roach anywhere in a facility is one roach to many for me. The entire hotel seems like it's in need of a refresh. The paint is old and grimy, the beds are uncomfortable, and I would never stay here again, especially at $250 a night. The front desk attendant who switched my room the first night was very nice (he gave me two bottles of water and some free breakfast certificates to make up for the infestation), but the rest of the team seems pretty disillusioned with the place. That said, the front desk attendant who checked me out did remove the incidentals from my bill (a bag of chips and a glass of wine), though he was not apologetic. He seemed like he'd been through this drill before. Maybe that's why he told me to let Expedia know about my experience, so that's exactly what I'm doing. Dear Sonesta Denver: You can do better. Start with a thorough fumigation. Then thoroughly clean and renovate the place. It needs it.

Quiet and clean hotel with a very comfortable bed. The room was a bit dark and the bathroom sink was weirdly high. I am 5’ and had to get on my toes when barefoot to reach the faucet. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was insanely expensive. But I would stay there again.

Location is excellent and lobby and check in process. It was easy. However, once you get to the elevator, you can see the age of the building And things that needs to be updated. 1. The elevator was small and not all the buttons light up. You have to press multiple times. 2. Carpet and the overall impression walking into the room was one of depression 3. The rooms and beds were comfortable and recently renovated however, the bathroom was very small. 4. Single use plastics and wrapped hand soap very antiquated and very wasteful 5. There are no water drinking dispenser In the lobby or gym especially for four-star rated hotel. $7 For a bottle of water is not acceptable. If I’m back in Denver, I would not stay at this hotel. The Hyatt centric is way more modern and exceeds my travel needs

Small, hard bed, a/c was wonky (every time we got to our rm it was over 70, it would cool down after awhile but would wake up at night warm again had it set at 64). Great location. Nice friendly staff. Clean. Very busy place. Slow check in.

Room was clean and comfortable. Good amenities. Breakfast buffet was not good and staff were rarely around to help. Definitely not worth the $35 if you don't have it included with the room. Honestly not worth it even if free. Customer service was terrible on almost every interaction. - When I arrived the doors were locked, which makes sense, but no staff was there to let me in for 10 minutes. - Got stuck in elevator for 40 minutes. Called after using the help desk and the front desk person informed me to be patient, someone was working on it and I didn't need to call them. When it finally opened no one was there to check on us. When I went to the front desk to ask for an update or to get some info the front desk manager asked "what I expected him to do about it". Talked to multiple front desk employees during this fun interaction and not a single person even offered me a sorry. The hotel is fine, but do not stay here if you value customer experience or service at all.

Check in staff wasn’t that friendly and distracted with another staff member and one of my key cards didn’t work. The elevators took forever each time you had to use them. Tried to use the mobile valet option so our car would be ready but we got a message saying “difficulties finding your ticket”. The guest in front of us was already waiting 40 minutes for his car. Very unorganized. Most likely not staying here in the future.

We stayed here for my birthday weekend and overall, the experience was just average. The hotel itself was clean and standard, but nothing that stood out. Unfortunately, the room we had originally booked was not available upon arrival, which was disappointing. The bar also closed at 10:00 PM, which felt unusually early for a hotel. What left the biggest negative impression, however, was the service. The host/greeter we encountered was rude and unwelcoming, lacking any tact or hospitality. For a hotel, this really set the tone for our stay in the wrong direction. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible stay, but nothing about it would make me want to return.

The property is conveniently located to the convention center, museums, shopping and restaurants. Check out was very convenient and the desk person was very friendly and helpful. The check in was terrible. The system was up and down so the first person took all my info but the credit card reader wouldn’t work. She asked the person next to her to check me in so I had to provide the info again but then the first person’s credit card system was up so i had to switch back to the first person. I could have handled the inconvenience of having to say my info over and over but the attitudes of the two desk people wasn’t very service oriented. They appeared annoyed that I was even there having to check in. I know they were probably frustrated but it came across as annoyance with me. The manager was there and really didn’t do anything either.

I encountered extraordinarily rude staff as I arrived for check in. After learning that parking in the hotel garage would be $55, I found other parking, then could not enter the hotel upon my return. There were a number of valets who simply watched my attempt to enter without any effort to help until I enquired why the door wouldn't open. Finally, one irritated valet badged me in with no word spoken to me. Three people at the front desk did not acknowledge my presence at the counter until a manager entered the room and asked if I had arrived for check in. This was a very straightforward and clean hotel, well situated to a wide variety of amenities. Housekeeping is only available by request and parking was quite expensive. The hotel itself felt safe, but pretty sure we heard multiple gunshots in the middle of the night.

Room was clean, spacious.. but the entire hotel, minus the lobby, is outdated, older and slightly Dingy. Old carpets, elevators floor crackled under my feet. Almost sank a bit. Overall pretty outdated. The lobby gives new appearance. The rooms give 1980’s vibes. Not bad for the price, though, I will say that. You gotta expect a little weathering from a hotel room just under 200. Staff was very very kind. I slept great. So can’t really complain. Oh, don’t go walking around the hotel at night. Like most city downtown districts, lots of crackhead activity just around the corner from the hotel. I definitely drove to the store for snacks. No walking around.

Rooms are clean but no ice machines available. Front desk check in was nice and easy. That’s as nice as it gets. Waited over an hr to get our meal from dining option. Paid over $125 for 2 people. Horrible food. Inedible. Had to be returned. Asked to be removed from my room bill. I didn’t feel well afterwards. I don’t think I’ll visit again.

Honestly not worth it even if free. Customer service was terrible on almost every interaction. - When I arrived the doors were locked, which makes sense, but no staff was there to let me in for 10 minutes. - Got stuck in elevator for 40 minutes. Called after using the help desk and the front desk person informed me to be patient, someone was working on it and I didn't need to call them. When it finally opened no one was there to check on us. When I went to the front desk to ask for an update or to get some info the front desk manager asked "what I expected him to do about it". Talked to multiple front desk employees during this fun interaction and not a single person even offered me a sorry. The hotel is fine, but do not stay here if you value customer experience or service at all.

The room was spacious and kept very clean throughout my multi-day stay. The location was perfect for my downtown meetings and was also close to the major shopping area there. Bartenders were great and the bar was surprisingly lively. Breakfast was not a good value, though - vastly overpriced for nothing special. Easy walk to better morning options outside the hotel.

The Restaurant was closed although I found out when I tried to order a takeout to work in my room and the phone was disconnected. The little "Market" was woefully understocked, which was the real disappointment nowing the restaurant was closed, nobody paid attention to having something there??

The front desk staff was very friendly and handled my special requests easily. Breakfast was delicious and the restaurant area was clean and inviting. The bar and lounge area had live music and was a perfect place to unwind. I'll be back to this location.

We visited the Sonesta in a large truck, and it didn't fit in their underground parking. We ended up finding a secured parking garage right around the corner (located in the same block) that fit our truck. We will definitely be coming back now that we know our ride will be safe.

I hope that this review is helpful: I wasn't in a good mood when coming into the hotel lobby - primarily frustrated by Denver traffic while commuting from work. I live in Northern Colorado, so I'm not used to navigating the various one-way restrictions and other traffic obstacles in a downtown area. Consequently, I also forgot about how difficult it can be to park downtown. Nonetheless, once I had found a reasonable parking spot, I was able to enter the hotel and check into my room before heading out to another event. The room was clean and well-maintained. Upon coming back from my evening event, I was in a much better mood, and I was able to go to the fitness center for about 30 minutes before unwinding and going to bed. I slept well and then used the weight room portion of the fitness center before heading back to work the next morning. The shower was nice, and I checked out at the hotel lobby. The front-desk attendant was very nice and hospitable. It's hard to maintain an inviting impression in a downtown setting, but I think the Sonesta property in downtown Denver is far above average. Well done!

When checking in at 4:30pm they did not warn anyone that the water was off, and would stay off for a time, I had just come down from Boulder and was in need of a shower so after checking in went to the shower water wasn’t working and the handle for my shower feel off and I had called the front desk to let them know, they said it would be a time so went out till 10:30pm went to my room to shower before dinner and they didn’t fix the broken handle. Went down to front desk since calling seemed to get no results, I was told engineers would be on it then waited 20 minutes for someone to come “right away” but had to leave still with no shower at 11pm, came home a bit after midnight was hoping for a nice warm shower only to find out the water wasn’t freezing even at its hottest was only still to cold for me, so ended up with a cold shower that woke me up instead of relaxing me leading to me not sleep well at all, all I was offered was a discount from the upgrade I did for a room view which was $6 but couldn’t even enjoy it cause the amenities didn’t meet close to a 4 star hotel standards. I’d recommend any else looking at this place to really see if it’s a fit for you. I was hoping to have a great end to trip only to be beyond disappointed, I expect things will be better in the future but I won’t forget how bad my experience was and lack of care to make sure everything was in order before checking in.
