The Estes Park Resort

So we stayed in a king room for 5 nights. Super clean and even had a fireplace. Nice view of the lake. Had a laundry facility in the building which helped bringing less dirty clothes home. We really enjoyed our stay here. Saw so many elk by this area too. So close to the town less than 5 mins drive. We lived the lake and path. The staff are all friendly. We had Karen check us in great service and so informative on the hotel. The area is well kept too. Max also helped us at the desk he has great customer service so pleasant. Everyone we dealt with was really helpful. Def old stay here again.

Upscale property with walking trails and wildlife. A herd of elk walked through the parking lot and went to swim in the lake. The fire pits and seating area outside was a nice touch.

Staff very friendly, view’s spectacular and covered outdoor patio for gatherings or weddings. Parking can be an issue.

Beautiful hotel right on Estes Lake. The rooms were cozy with our own fireplace and the balcony lake view is worth the upgrade. The drinks, dinner and service at the Ember restaurant was amazing and everyone at the front desk was so welcome and friendly. We also enjoyed the little game room with all the different board games. We were bummed to learn there is no pool on site and told by the staff that Expedia needs to update their property details.

Love, Love, Loved our experience at this resort, top notch loved that they had real coffee cups, glass wine glasses, yoga mat, decor was wonderful, beds were comfortable with lots of pillows, the fireplace in our room looked so real, the grounds were awesome, loved the location and walking trail right out the door by the most scenic lake and mountaintops ~ close in proximity to RMNP entrance ~ food was excellent and our waiter was the best as well as all staff were so pleasant ~ loved the game boards, fireplaces and seating areas ~ we couldn't be happier!

I liked the 24hr gym and great restaurant.

Amazing stay at Estes Park Resort. The Dunraven is amazing, both for dinner and breakfast. We got Chicken Parm and Chicken Piccata and we loved them both. For breakfast, they make some real good eggs! I bet everything from their menu is just splendid. The gym has what you need for a basic workout and the spa is absolutely incredible. Spa bathrooms are stocked with essential products and tools and the services were so relaxing and high quality. Highly recommend any service. The rooms are a perfect size and they have coffee, tea, and water accessible to you. Stunning views of the lake and mountains from the room. Such sweet, friendly staff too! You won’t regret staying here.

Indoor pool was pictured on reservation, only to find out a few years ago it was flooded and turned into a spa. Did not make for a happy 8 year old! I asked about canceling the room do to misrepresentation, they said I would be charged one nights room and tax, their policy. Wont be back.

For the past couple of years this was our favorite place to stay at Estes, BUT the past two times the restaurant food and service ahas declined. We have also been hit by two power outages of longer than 2.5 hours in past couple years. I would not blame resort except emergency generator did not work.

Our lake facing 1 bedroom suite was luxurious, with gorgeous views. Appreciated having 2 baths/toilets/sinks in each room. On site restaurant, spa, fitness center and lakefront sitting areas were just amazing. We got the ground floor room which was a few feet below ground level; rooms on upper levels would probably have even better views. AC fan was noisy. Resort is located away from main town center making it quiet and peaceful.

The man who checked us in was SUPER helpful, courteous and went the extra mile to accommodate our needs. All the staff were helpful and kind, we loved our stay! Rooms are clean and the lake view balcony was beautiful.

Friendly staff at the front desk. Staying at this property is a must when staying in Estes Park. The blue shuttle bus takes you to the visitors center. Plenty of parking on site. Excellent resort. I went there for a friend’s getaway weekend; we really liked. The view was beautiful, room was clean and comfortable, help desk was very friendly and helpful. I will recommend this hotel.

An adolescent bed bug was found in room 105. There were no signs of an infestation in that room, but that means it came from somewhere else in the hotel. The staff and manager responded appropriately, however, we were not reimbursed for the inconvenience. That is, spending two hours, checking our clothing and luggage for Moore.

Clean, very good scent to the hotel

Fantastic hotel. Staff are very nice and welcoming. The restaurant onsite is pricy for the amount of food you get and the waiters are rude. The hotel was very clean and the rooms are amazing! The view from the balcony was beyond words!

Our room had a nice view but it was right next to the dining room so there were a lot of people coming and going and they could see into our room if the shades were open. The carpet in the room seemed dirty. The bathroom sink was in the room and there was no place to put your toiletries. They told us they had a laundry just for the guests to use but all the washers and dryers were hogged by the spa people and we ended up having to hang our wet laundry in our room. A big disappointment for the price.

Beautiful property, enjoyed restaurant and clean room

Great location and the room was very clean and updated. Unfortunately, we upgraded to a room with a view of the lake and paid $100 to do so. When we checked in, they could not find our reservation. Thereafter, we were given room 222.Right across from the elevator and close to the check-in desk. At first we figured we would roll with it. Our nights sleep was very bad in that the coming and going of people and people right above us were very loud. We seek compensation for the $100 we paid. Thank you.

The room was very cozy while still being very spacious for our stay! The staff was also very nice. Love the styling of the rooms as well, very modern but still rustic, perfect for the location. I do wish it had a full length mirror and a fan in the bathroom since it did hold a lot of moisture after taking showers

Newly renovated room and just amazing.

The room was significantly larger than expected and very comfortable. We had a corner king suite with a jacuzzi and two fireplaces. It was very spacious and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The fitness room is small if that matters to anyone. The restaurant on site is great (I would label it pricey and maybe not for everyone). I would absolutely stay here again. No complaints at all.

Property was nice, but not as expected. The rooms were somewhat dated.

Overall a great stay. Nice to have an (empty) mini-fridge in room to store things. Lighting was good in bedroom area and in bathroom. Fireplace in room was a nice add. I stayed in a more "subterranean" room however that had windows that looked out to the ground, which was fine, just unusual.

The room we were given this time had paper thin walls and our AC didn't work very well. I could hear EVERYTHING. Doors slamming, conversations, the ice machine. Last time we stayed here we really enjoyed it- sad we didn't have a second positive experience.

The bathroom sink was in the main room next to the bed. It also had the coffee maker, microwave and all the toiletries on it. Super weird and inconvenient. If I wanted to brush my teeth I would wake up my partner in bed with the noise and glaring lights. The entire room is old and has a smell to it. I asked for a blanket and the staff brought me 2 blankets that were probably a decade old, stained and pilled up all over. Disgusting! The one thing this property has going for it is location and the view of the lake and mountains. They must think that view will carry them without the need to update. $250 a night will get you a Motel 6 room with a view. Also, I was on the ground floor and the deck above me had slatted 2x4’s. That means if the person above spills their glass of wine or beer it drains to my patio below on me. Very poorly thought out. Also, my phone didn’t work and the cable was minimal. The bathroom doesn’t have a vent and the plumbing is old and had issues.

Everything from the Ember restaurant to the room was excellent. Staff was fantastic. Would recommend and will return.

LOUD music at night and at 6am. Front desk seemed to not care. I would definitely not stay on the wkd. Also no free coffee and muffins fri-sun. Not sure what we are paying the resort fee for.

Sadly, there was heavy construction going on and we didnt get to enjoy our stay like we used too. We weren't told about it upon check in and placed right next to it. Asked to be moved, but still two doors away from it. When I asked the front desk, he said there was nothing they could do it about it. It was very disappointing, especially that we had looked forward to this for my sons Spring Break and so I splurged more to make it special and guarantee a clean, relaxing stay. I had reached out to the AGM and never heard back regarding my concerns.

First of all, we had a reservation here and our son suddenly got sick. He got a bad cough, diarrhea and had fever Sunday. We tried to cancel so we can be home in case he got worse.. they said no. Like we have control of situations like this, they offered to move the reservation by a week and I let them know that was not possible as I had to go back to work and couldn’t take the time off. They honestly didn’t care.. so we decided to risk it and hope our son got better by then, which he did feel much better by then thankfully but the night was rough.. we ate at the donraven located in the hotel Tuesday night after settling in, food was not so great but we tried to make the best of it, fast forward later that night and my wife got sick to her stomach. Abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.. it was horrible for her but she still tried to shake it off and tried to feel better by sleeping it off but was just getting worse so we decided to check out early instead of waiting until check out next day so we can be close to our local hospital in case we needed to go in, which we did! We asked for a partial refund or see what can be done and the manager was called up, she was so unprofessional as she didn’t even introduce herself or even apologize or address the issue with me directly. She didn’t even look me in the eye, what kind of customer service is that!!? The front desk guy told me we had to contact Expedia directly to ask for a partial refund and I did only for Expedia to

Our stay started with meeting Maxamillion at the reception desk. He was very friendly and always greeted us when entering and exiting. If we had questions he was able to answer them and provide us with a solution on whatever we needed. We also enjoyed the lake view and amenities like the fridge , water bottle filler, and microwave.

The hotel constantly tried to up-sale us on everything! Upon check-in we were immediately offered a room upgrade for an additional $80 per night, which we declined. However, the room we were assigned was extremely disappointing - it was a handicap room located in the basement directly across from the elevator and adjacent to the equipment room, fitness area and surrounded by active construction of rooms. The location was extremely loud and disruptive We returned to the front desk and requested a different room due to noise & location. We had to pay the upgrade of $80 per night despite the fact that our original room was not what we booked and was unreasonably situated. The new room was slightly larger, located in the basement level and the entire area was surrounded by ongoing CONSTRUCTION AND RENOVATION. We had to walk through active work zones to access our room. While the room was nice, the noise and construction environment detracted from the experience. We enjoyed the hotel's amenities including dinner, drinks and a couples massage at the spa. However, the room situation and the treatment by the front desk significantly impacted our overall experience. I respectfully requested a review of the additional charges applied to our stay that was caused by the hotel's room assignment, but was not given any response.

The Resort is a great, convenient location for those looking to see spectacular views and to get into Rocky Mountain National Park. Downtown is great for strolling, grabbing a bite, and it’s easy to get to from The Resort. We enjoyed a drink and dessert after a long day of exploring in the restaurant taking in the sights across the lake. Very quiet in the off-season (beginning of April).

Beautiful facility and location. Balcony view included Lake Estes and Longs Peak and Meeker. There was 7” of snow. Wonderful cozy fireplace in the room. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice place a little out of the main town but walkable in 15 mins. A little dated decor but clean

For what we paid to stay here we expected way more. The views from the property were incredible, but that was about the only benefit of staying here. Could not relax and enjoy the Lake view balcony because the people from the surrounding rooms are on top of you with no privacy, and people are constantly walking on the path and making noise. We also had to clean cob webs off of all the outdoor chairs/table. The restaurant was good, but closed too early. You also had the constant smell of burnt and fried food seeping into the room during the hours it was open. Renting a car is a MUST if staying here. There is no hotel shuttle and Uber/Lyft is not available anywhere in Estes Park. There is an Estes Park shuttle but it was not easy to use, so we walked 30 minutes to get places. Staff was friendly, but not overly helpful when we would ask them questions. Next time we go to Estes Park we'll stay at one of the nearby Inns for a quarter of the cost.

I have been wanting to stay here for years. We vacation yearly in estes sonwe were really excited. We wanted to be able to see at least some water and enjoy a bar and restaurant. We were given a handicapped room with a garden view as they called it. We were in an underground room with a view of the grass and drainage area. There was also no bar and restaurant as advertised. There were also room renovations across the hall taking place which was very loud. Just disappointing. If those things are happening i dont think the room was worth the over $200 charge for a one bed room. If i ever decide to stay here again, I will definitely call to book.

This trip was destination wedding for my daugter. The main reason my son and I were staying here was that they had breakfast , lunch and dinner at the on site restaraunt. We were notified 2/29/2024 for our stay that would start on 3/11/2024 that the restaraunt was closed and woulld not be open during our stay. This gave us no time to look for other places to stay. We had limited access to a car and this was very inconvinent and unacceptable. Please do better. Also they had construction trucks parked at the drop off area everyday. It was uninviting. I was very disappointed with this "4 star" resort.

The room was very nice but no one cleaned it during our three night stay. The dining room was closed for renovation but this was not reflected in advertisement. No meal vouchers were provided.

It was a great place to stay! Room was comfortable and spacious and the restaurant on site was the best place we ate in Estes.

The resort was beautiful and had breathtaking scenery. The supper was delicious but the breakfast was mediocre. The rooms were noisy and you could hear both your neighbors and conversations in the hallway. The spa services were not readily available to book the day of or the next morning so we chose the check-in package. This included a foot soak, massage chair, and sauna. While nice, it felt like a cheap alternative to actual spa services. The massage chairs felt very claustrophobic.

Was looking forward to restaurant and bar at hotel. Closed for renovations.
