Hampton Inn Glenwood Springs

Bed was very comfortable and the property was pretty clean . However, rooms need some updating. Carpet in our room needed to be replaced (they patched up a piece of it and it was very noticeable). Bathroom needed caulking in tub area. They need another elevator as well. There’s only one small elevator!

Property is worn. Pool was green and some people used it! Breakfast ok. At $200 per night try some place elsr

I had to plunge the toilet to get it to work, single elevator broken during part of stay, room air conditioner so loud one couldn’t sleep with it on, and traffic noise outside window. Expensive for the condition of hotel.

The only down fall was that the hotels pool was unable due to maintenance (painting). Also, they only have one washer and one dryer (we were their for a baseball tournament). The staff members were nice and did help as much as they could.

Property was very dirty for the price we paid. Pool was green and disgusting. Carpets in the hallways were stained and dirty. The tile was falling off the wall in our bathroom. There was a strip nailed across the floor in our room at where the carpet met the tile that was a trip hazard. Breakfast was substandard The worst hotel I’ve ever paid over $300 a night for.

Construction in lobby, no internet problably due to construction, room has dents and chipped paint. Had to walk around a ladder! Hampton used to be my favorite chain, but no more!

Quiet, easy parking, and close to Glennwood Adventure Park. Far enough away from the interstate that you don't have to put up with truck noise all night long.

Always book a hotel with hot tub just like this one. So very very disappointed to find their hot tub closed for maintenance without sending any notice. They have a deal with the Holiday Inn Express next door to use their pool & hot tub but that is toooooo inconvenient. A heads up would have made a difference. Staff was very nice.

First room we were given had about 20-30 significant size bugs crawling around. Apparently it’s a seasonal thing in Glenwood springs. We complained and they gave us a better room with no bugs. Apparently lower level floors are better in this regard. Windows we’re filthy on the outside. The place needs some better maintenance. However the beds were fine and we slept ok.

Great stay here!! Even though there was remodeling taking place, the staff was friendly and professional. The breakfast bar was awesome and our room was nice and clean and comfortable!! We’ll be back for sure!!

Staff was amazing. Very attentive and helped right away when we had an issue with the plumbing. However the next room didn’t have a working heater. The hotel is old and outdated. The pool is uninviting as it’s painted green and gives the illusion that the water is dirty. Our kids wouldn’t even touch it. The breakfast was very good and housekeeping came each day, which we loved.

Room size was great for a a family of four. Pool is pretty gross, didn’t dare even going in. Breakfast was meh but the options were freshish. Walkable distance to pool and downtown area which is convenient. I’ve stayed at better hotels in glenwood. I won’t be going back here.

Hotel was great. Someone did smoke in our non-smoking room and they were unfortunately sold out but it was fine, we were able to open the windows. It was quite noisy as the hotel is right by a major roadway. Room was clean, staff was friendly.

Not worth $200. Air conditioner sounded like a helicopter taking off. Luke warm shower with little water pressure.

The room was comfortable and spacious. The weekday rates were good. They jump up for the weekend.

We reserved a 2 bedroom suite for our anniversary so our kids would be in the second bedroom, This was not what we got. We were all in one bedroom with little alcove for a. bed. We could see them the whole time so it was not romantic at all. VERY disappointed.

Location is the most appealing thing about this place. Super convenient and easy to get around from here. Iron Mountain Hot Springs literally a 5 minute drive away. You could walk if you wanted to. Downtown is another short drive away. Also walkable if you’re up for the journey. Definitely better to eat in downtown or drive to other parts. Would not recommend going to Tequila’s Mexican Restaurant. Unless you truly enjoy subpar lukewarm food served on microwaved plates. As for the amenities within the Hampton Inn, the complimentary breakfast was decent. Check in was efficient and we were given complimentary bottles of water which was appreciated. The room was spacious and clean with the exception of finding a hair hanging on the toilet seat. The hotel is definitely in need of some updates and actual modernizing. The lighting is awful and the finishes are clearly worn down to the point of needing replacement. Overall if you’re looking for a place to simply sleep, shower and store your things while you’re exploring the beauty of Glenwood Springs, this isn’t a bad option. However, if you’re accustomed to a finer esthetic along with modern luxuries then the Courtyard by Marriott or perhaps even the Holiday Express next door may be your preferred option.

AC unit did not work well and turned on/off for just short period. Thermostat seemed inaccurate and was set at 63 when we go there…should have been clue. Refrig needs defrosting. Room big and furniture comfortable. Breakfast had good variety but more standard for a lower level hotel …frozen omelets, precooked bacon. Fresh fruit great! Staff great!

The HVAC was old and very noisy; the room was close to noisy streets. The staff were not helpful in relocating us to a room away from the street although they promised to do that as soon as one room was cleaned.

Three times no one answered the phone. Also left a message.

Front desk staff very unfriendly, either tired or had an attitude. Bed was the worst we’ve had in years.

I walked in and the check in guy was no where to be found. I had to call the hotel for someone to come. He then was apologetic and kind. Only thing removed was the extra fee hold. Which is nothing for me a a Hilton member.

My daughter and friend went to the hot tub in the pool area. Sat in a chair and talked for a bit and tiles fell off the wall above them. (4x4 porcelain) hit my daughter in the head and her friend in the leg. Tiles shattered so then couldn’t really run or walk carefully. Dad had to ask for a broom and clean and sweep the floor. No manager on staff Derick the manager never called nor responded. Didn’t respond the next day either Sunday day we were leaving he showed up not to talk to us but in plain clothes with his zipper down. Only back peddled the entire time. They sold the next day and haven’t had an answer since

The hotel was in a great location, it’s undergoing a remodel, which is looking really nice. The service from the staff was excellent.

We were initially told our room would be ready in 5-10 minutes. We unloaded our luggage, etc. to a cart. When we came back in, we were told it would be 2 hours. They told us, we could leave the cart right at the front desk!?! We asked for restaurant recommendations and received a 3 page list with the majority of addresses marked TBD. We had hoped for a personal recommendation. Google would have told us more. When we returned, we received no information about breakfast nor where things were located in the hotel. The room was clean; the bed, linens, towels were all very nice. The toilet paper was like tissue wrapping paper. We were in a handicapped room and the shower had a seat but not hand held shower head. Breakfast was adequate.

Everything was great. Needed a couple extra pillows the first night and it was easy to communicate and get them set up before going to the front desk.

We stayed in Glenwood Springs because we needed our car serviced before our final destination. This was an unexpected stop but we enjoyed our stay. Thanks for letting us hang out in the lobby waiting for our car to be done.

The Hampton Inn was a perfect stay. The area was quiet and safe and close to many eating and shopping options. It is about a mile from the Glenwood Springs, which is why we visited Glenwood. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I would recommend the property for your next stay.

Great location. Walking distances to Iron Mountain Hot Springs and Gondola. The property was clean, and rooms were very nice and spacious. The breakfast had a good variety and was pretty good!

There are a couple of issues. First, the options for breakfast are very limited and the food is not that good compared to the same hotel chain at other locations. Second, the shampoo and conditioner bottles are empty when we moved in. Even after requesting for refill multiple times, the housekeeping didn't do anything. We ended up getting a few sample conditioner from the front desk. Lastly, the air conditioner is loud and noisy. Compared to other issues, this is somewhat acceptable. Overall, I feel the stay experience at this location is subpar.

The breakfast was not good, old fresh fruit, canned fruit in the sliced fruit area, stale tasting eggs.

Having a variety breakfast available in the morning with my young children was very nice.
