Residence Inn Boulder Longmont

The toilet was not functioning properly during the entirety of our stay. It was already broken when we checked in. It took a few hours for us to realize the toilet paper was not flushing. I had to google the hotel phone number because the room phone was not working. I called down and was told that all the room phones on my floor were not working, and that maintenance was only there during the day, and they offered to move us to a different room. In retrospect I wish we had chosen this option, but we thought it would be quickly fixed in the morning and we were already completely unpacked and settled into the room, with the pull out couch made up. They said we could use the public toilets downstairs by the pool. I left early the next morning for a medical procedure, and when I returned to the room I was sleeping off the anesthesia. When I became aware that the toilet still wasn’t fixed, I called down and was told that maintenance had left for the day already. Either they had not been given the message about our room or they had simply neglected to attend to it while they were on site that day. They came the next day and it worked for two whole flushes before breaking again. I was sick that night and had to use a non flushing toilet. I did not pay for a hostel with a shared bathroom downstairs. I paid for a hotel room with a working toilet and a working phone.

The stay was very pleasant.

Nice room, a bit cramped between the bed and dresser, but overall it worked well.

The important stuff was excellent, as usual. clean room suite, clean linen, quiet area, courteous staff. Also, convenient access and accessible shopping. However, there are two dings. 1) breakfast was cold, always. the eggs, the bacon, etc. 2) there is no whirlpool despite being advertised.
