Clean room, prompt check in, late check out of 11, parking right next to the room door, exit to right outside.

Pros: Close to foxwoods and provided foxwoods shuttle Cons: Rooms look old Room has funny smell There were a bunch of dead bugs in the ceiling lights No elevator Was able to get my room changed luckily.

Great value, and free shuttle

The property was in a very convenient location to the Foxwoods. the road was not too noisy while sleeping. The room was clean but need to replace the electric sockets the bed was comfortable as were the pillow choices. The shower had great hot water and pressure. I am almost 5'2" but if you were tall the shower head could be an issue. The staff were friendly. The shuttle was great.

Driveway needs to be fixed, potholes.

The room was spacious and clean. It had a coffee maker, plenty of towels, and really nice toiletries. Another big plus is that it is only about 5 miles from Foxwoods. And, even better, starting at 5 pm there is a free shuttle available to the casino.

Great place to stay without paying the prices of the casino rooms. Shuttle service they provided was excellent and ran till 3 AM.

Room was not updated, no microwave and just not comfortable!

I've stayed at this hotel many times in years past, even when it first opened. This was long before foxwoods had countless lodging options. The price was and still is a good value, however the hotel is very dated and the rooms are in need of complete updating. The parking lot is full of potholes and there's a general lack of maintenance. If you don't mind the outdated rooms, they are clean and value priced.

The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. The shuttle to Foxwoods was a great perk.

Cockroachs

Room was very musty, carpet had stains all over it. WiFi didn’t work in my room. Came home and noticed a few bug bites on the side of my torso.

Place has bed bugs! And would not give me a refund after I showed them they did! Horrible place will never come back and guy at front desk was super angry that I was telling them there rooms are invested and started screaming and demanding us to leave

This property was very unclean and smelled horrible. We did not stay due to the level of urine and chemical smell, with tobacco and weed. Staff was very rude and unhelpful.

Staff was great very friendly. The issue is this…..the beds are horrible! It feels like it’s slanted when laying down. The specific room I was in had mold in the bathroom and the bath tub kept backing up.

This is a reasonably priced, spotlessly cleaned property that is close to many great locations. I would highly recommend it!

I love the shuttle service to the casino at this property. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. I stayed at a suite with the jetted tub which I enjoyed. The TV channels were limited no streaming options. The room didn’t have a microwave so we had to leave and walk through buildings to get to the kitchenette area to use their microwave. Any other day it’s fine but this weekend was freezing so walking in/out of the buildings wasn’t the best. I think it’s quite over-priced for the room amenities. I would stay again at a lower price but this weekend was just a last minute change in plans so I had to take anything available.

No cable/TV access, no consistent wifi, they refused to cancel our second night when we checked in and informed them within the cancelation window that we only wanted one night.

The beds were comfortable.

Needed a quick night to stay along our drive. All hotels were expensive and this was over $200/night but the cheapest option which is why we booked. I would have expected it to cost less. You could hear the folks upstairs walking around and every time their AC turned on. Rooms were old and outdated but clean. Breakfast was included but lackluster.

Room was clean, jetted tub was nice, but the woman at the front desk was sort of rude.

The room was clean but VERY outdated. Not even a comforter on the bed. The TV was the size of a small picture. The ice machine was a mile away. The key card barely worked and we spent more time trying to get into the room than actually being in the room. The noise from another rooms pipes or water was like a freight train. Would not go back.

Tv didn’t work. Only one light worked in the room. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Rooms are outdated. Beds and pillows are very uncomfortable and bathroom had mold on the ceiling.

On a positive note, the sheets were clean, staff were friendly, and it was quiet. The problems I had were; the wallpaper was peeling off on the wall and near the ceilings, there are rusty nails or screws in the ceilings, there is a strong musty scent in the room, and the deluxe continental breakfast that they advertise consists of bagels, bread, waffle batter, cereal, and yogurt. It’s very basic and my partner with a gluten allergy could only have a small yogurt cup. We took the shuttle to Foxwoods and the seat were stained. We also weren’t able to connect to WiFi in the room. All the outlets in the room were loose which could potentially be dangerous. Not a bad place to stay for 1 night.

The check in person seemed quite frazzled. The phone kept ringing of the hook and seemed to stress her even more. Then to be told Wi-Fi might not work because the hotel was booked solid. Not my problem. Then Sunday morning we were without cable.

If zero stars was an option, I would have selected that. The man at the front desk should not be working in the hospitality industry. I have been staying at the Hilltop for over 14 years. It's a comfortable and inexpensive option near Foxwoods; however, after my experience this morning, I will not be returning. We were packing to head out and had our room door open when a male staff member came out of no where and appeared outside the open door, startling me, to ask me if my husband was just smoking outside. No greeting, no "excuse me," no politness - just an abrupt and direct question. I quickly replied, "no, he doesn’t smoke," which is true. I thought the encounter was strange to say the least. I proceeded to continue packing then grabbed my bag and exited the room to check-out. I went to the front desk and the same male staff member was there. I turned in the room keys and said, "I'm checking out" to which he replied "You're all set." My boyfriend and I left and thought nothing more of the odd encounter until I checked my online bank account a couple of hours later. I was charged an additional $50. I called to inquire about the charge and was told by this same man, "you lied to me this morning when I asked you if your husband was smoking. I saw it on the camera." I tried to ask a couple of questions, one of them was for his manager's name. He hung up on me. I called back and got the same response. He would not provide the manager's name or contact information.

Great location

For the price and location this was a real bargain. The decor was out of date but the beds and pillows were super comfortable. There was a shuttle to the casino!

Stayed here because it was less expensive than to stay in Mystic where we were visiting. The room was very large and clean and hotel was in a safe location Mystic not far away. We left before breakfast was served, but it looked like a very good continental breakfast. Only downside is check-in was at 4 PM and they didn’t make an exception.

We stayed over one night and was very pleased with everything.Front desk people very welcoming. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good a nice selection of things . Parking was no problem plenty of spaces . Close to Foxwood was a plus too .

Very convenient place to travel to casinos and Mystic zcT

The room was clean and the property was noise free. The breakfast items were ok. I would have prefer a hot breakfast. The location was ideal, so close to Foxwoods, Westerly, RI as well as Mystic Seaport. The entrance of the hotel needs a bit of road repairs.

Hotel in a quiet area. It’s a little hard to spot as there are some trees slightly blocking the sign. Had a typical hotel breakfast spread with cereal, bagels, etc a good coffee. The only negative was a slight musty smell that dissipated when we ran the air conditioning. I’d recommend and stay again.

This is an older hotel and could use a renovation. However, it was clean and the beds were comfortable. They need to get the front desk some help on the weekend. It’s right down the road from Foxwoods and they do have a shuttle service.

My sister and I checked in on Saturday September 20th a little after three and the woman behind the desk was rude, snappy, never smiled, etc!! We weren’t the only ones she was that way towards. Then your sign says DELUXE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST well there was nothing!! Waffles and Yogurt and bananas!!! Not Happy!! Also the picture online wasn’t the same as our room. Not HAPPY!!

Disappointed with the Continental Breakfast. Not as shown in pictures. Very little choice! Mostly bread products and dry cereal. Only one waffle maker for entire hotel guests.

The hotel staff were wonderful. The walls were thin thus you could hear what was happening next door. The bed was a 5 out of 10. They advertise a delux contental breakfast. The only hot food were the oatmeal packets you made and the waffles. No eggs, potatoes or breakfast meats. Per google A deluxe continental breakfast typically includes a standard continental breakfast plus heartier hot items like eggs, bacon, sausage, and potatoes. You might also find items like made-to-order omelets, biscuits and gravy, or breakfast burritos, according to Yahoo and WebstaurantStore.

Service was good. I only spent a night. However, TV was not working and breakfast was terrible, coffee was hot colored water, bagels and muffins were cold, dry and hard. TV was 3D, double visioned and broken colors if that makes sense. However, the room was exceptionally clean and so was the front desk. Check in and out was quick.

Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was until 10:00, I was done by then, however I noticed some come down for breakfast a few minutes before 10, went to get their coffee first and then all the food items were taking away. There should be courtesy given to those still in the middle of getting their breakfast items.

We checked in easily and got a good night sleep. In the morning, we discovered that the WiFi doesn't work in our room and our cell service was weak. We were disappointed with the breakfast - no eggs or meat. Apples were the only fruit available. There were several people waiting in line to make waffles.

Good qualities of the hotel were.. fast check in, clean. So I went online to book a reservation at this property, I see it had hot breakfast included but the only option was waffles, oatmeal, and bread ….. NO EGGS,bacon ! What happened to the protein? Next I go into the room, turn the TV on and the tv is not working. No channels.
