No jets in hot tub. Terrible sofa mattress. Better than average bfast but no gluten free. Tedious and expensive parking. Nice staff and location.

Room smelled a little -- like smokey. Not too strong but not ideal. Breakfast is good if you like eggs. Not great if you like fruit. The gym is dirty. Otherwise a big room, two tvs, big bed and pretty quiet. Very good for the price. Convenient.

The room was clean but the room showed its age. No conditioner in the bottle in the shower, average water pressure and temperature. The staff is friendly but not very informed. Some gym equipment was broken. Breakfast was excellent and clearly how they are keeping customers.

The pool was our main attraction. It was not always available due to swim classes. No towels were available at the pool area. I always enjoyed Embassy Suites but this one was my least favorite.

Construction in the hotel. No signage to direct people. Parking overnight in garage, $37! I made a last minute reservation on Expedia 2 hours before my arrival. I realized a mistake on the reservation date when I arrived and had to repurchase a room for that night. No refund available for the mistaken non refundable reservation. No more booking on Expedia.

great location in relation to the the metrorail, hot tub did not work and if you want to enjoy the pool dont bother. There are swimming lessons with tons of small children every day. They close the entire pool but about a 5 ft strip. We were very discouraged not to be able to utilize the amenities.

The hotel room - beds squeaked very loudly. Pillows were not very nice. Toilet overflowed. Pool area was very wet and slippery. Grandson fell and cut his toe while walking around pool.

Advertised having a bar. It was only open from 5-7 for the managers happy hour event, and only had two beers to choose from. They were free, but I was expecting a full cash bar that was open later in the night.

The room was not clean, crumbs on the sofas, hair in the toilet and sink. Dusty and water was dripping in the bathroom.

I liked how pleasant and helpful the staff were…my only minor dislike was just having only one working elevator due to construction so I don’t really fault them for that…

The hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful but didnt use the laundry room because I carried a plastic bag to put my dirty washing in it and the breakfast was spot on.

To be transparent,I chose this Hilton property based on no availability of my usual hotel. No indication of where to park, long wait at check in. Found mold in bathtub of my suite after I had fully unpacked. Relocation to another suite, no glasses in suite, stain on bedspread, frayed carpets. Asked for issues to be addressed, never were, glasses after 3 requests finally brought up by a facility person, only to be removed by house keeping the next day. Bed never made in entire stay. Hotel housekeeping was minimal, and low level at best. No evening manager on duty. Manager next day spoke to ongoing issues, but never checked on requested corrections, or follow up of any kind. Young unprofessional staff at desk. Couldn't really tell if they worked there. Escalator & elevators broken during stay. Workout room was dirty, machines were rusty& no effort to clean or wipe down the machines. There was little to nothing to appreciate about this hotel experience. Could not ever recommend staying there ever.

The hotel room was nice, the bathroom....not so much. There was bugs in the bathtub(i think springtails), the grout was gross around the edges of the walls, there was a little bit of mold on the shower wall, and the toilet barely flushed... then we move to breakfast...The main reason i picked this hotel was because of all of the good reviews for breakfast...it wasnt good. It was so greasy...the eggs were gray...

The only complaint was the room wasn’t very clean. Dust, fingerprints, lampshade with stains on it. The bathroom: tub had chipped paint throughout, the backseat of the toilet was filthy and clearly never cleaned. I was honestly shocked. I’ve never had an issue with embassy suites before.

The staff was great, friendly and helpful. Good size of q room and nice property but I was not impressed with the cleanliness. The bathroom had mold on the side of the tub and also on the walls.

The hotel is basically in what feels like an abandoned mall, everywhere in the building smells like mold especially the room. Mold in the AC vent and bathroom. Bed was fine. Breakfast wasn't very good and we were supposed to get two free drinks each day but the lady behind the bar was too busy talking to the men who already had drinks and didn't even look at my wife and I for 20 minutes so we left. The hot tub was also dirty. The thing that annoyed me the most was the $30 per day parking fee.

The rooms are starting to show wear and tear and could use some TLC.

All the staff were WONDERFUL!! The suites were very spacious, and really a great deal for the money. The overall hotel lay-out was a little strange and alienating, not quite user friendly. The hotel lobby was on the 2nd floor instead of ground level. Multiple sets of elevators going to different floors was confusing to navigate at first. The included breakfast buffet was plentiful in options, and even had a dedicated omelette chef. However, though bountiful, it wasn't very good. There is nowhere in the immediate vicinity to get drinks / snacks, and the vending machine with coke products didn't work. The rooms are built around an enormous covered atrium courtyard, which seems it would be nice, but just had the effect of feeling like you were in a big empty cavern at the end of the world.

I am not a hard person to please so even though this review may seem poor, we did stay our 4 days. Just read the reviews and consider if it is for you or not. This to me is not a luxury hotel but it will do for a short stay. Pros: location to shops, restaurants and downtown DC, continental breakfast was decent, there was an omlett bar. There was a complimentary drink option at the bar (not sure how it works because I didnt take advantage of it, so be sure to ask). The view from our window was nice. They have a recycling bin in the room and have option for glassware vs disposable for breakfast drinks (if you are a tree hugger like me). Neighborhood was beautiful. Cons: The beds were very uncomfortable felt like sleeping on a wood mattress with maybe a foam pad, same for pullout bed (maybe bring an air mattress for that person) furniture looked stained, toilet didn't always flush down on first try, if you love a hot shower the water either burns the flesh or freezes you, it was hard to find a perfect in between. Pool is shared with local swim class until 7pm so half is available to public, not really a problem unless you plan on using all day. If you want extra/more towels, wash clothes, TP you have to walk down and pick up or wait for the cleaning service. Overall it could use some updates but it was clean. I don't spend too much time in my rooms on vacation so cleanliness, the soft beds, cable tv and large and clean bathroom are a must as well as continental breakfast.

Nice stay - I was in a suite on the 4th floor facing the central dining area. The noise levels were high in the AM; not a problem for me but might be for others.

The shower barely had enough pressure to remove the shampoo out of my hair. The bed was more firm than I prefer, but the location to the Metro was great. The breakfast was always great to have first thing in the morning.

Good location near the metro. Great breakfast though gets busy. Rooms dated and a little worn. Was overall good though for our 2 nights in DC

Hotel is older. Needs renovations. Rooms were comfortable and buffet breakfast was pretty good.

Room was very spacious. Some reviews stated it needed to be updated which is true. The bedroom looked more updated than the living area. The bathroom too needs an upgrade. The small kitchenette was useful. Breakfast was ok. Its close to a small mall. Wholefoods market is also close. Tv is basic cable. You need to pay for current content.

Good location - close to a Metro station however the bathroom left a bit to be desired. Tub was chipped, the tub spout leaked and the toilet run area was filthy.

Beautiful property and great area. The staff were amazing and very customer friendly. My only problem was the bed. Room 502 has a huge dip in the king bed and almost felt like it was going to cave in. The pull out couch felt like it was pure mattress springs and zero padding at all. Other than that, we hada pleasant, short stay.

This stay was a disaster! The drinking glasses in my room had a roach in it. The front desk was not helpful. When i asked for any recommendations for restaurants the front desk person said they weren't from around the area and didn't know. the next morning the front desk had two employees that were having a very unprofessional verbal altercation, and i couldn't even approach to ask a question. The front desk staff also didn't have any answers about parking options for the hotel or the area. I used the "do not Disturb" sign for my room and someone came into my room and opened all the cupboards in the living room and kitchenette. The room keys would not open the fitness center, and the pool was always taken by swimming classes that keep the hotel guests out of the pool. This is the worst hotel i have ever stayed at.

The hotel is very accessible to metro and the surrounding areas are within vicinity for easy access, however the hotel itself is poorly manage. I tried asking the reception staff twice for the water refilling station and i was told 2 different location to a different location. I tried to locate both ends but to no success hence I have to go down to the dining hall which is already barriered at night but went accros anyway just to get water. The room is wide but smells damp in the wardrobe and dusty tissue box with no extra refills for hot drink in the room such as tea bags or decaf coffee. The plug sockets are everywhere but old too as no C type or usb connection. The aircon stops quite long at night and you wake up so hot and sweaty. The noise is very imminent for the transportation from your bedroom thinking that we have opened window but all was closed. Talking about buffet breakfast- this was scooped by the cook and very less selection. Boiled eggs are put on small container and you have to ask for it and rationed.Overall we met some good staff in the kitchen and very approachable.

Staff was very friendly

Metro station is in the basement of hotel and the bus depot is across the street. Great hot breakfast and evening cocktails are a bonus! All staff and manager are wonderful especially Jose, very accommodating.

I enjoyed my stay, however there was an issue with the bedding and some of the sheets having stains. I called the front desk they stated they would send someone from housekeeping no one ever came. After waiting 45 minutes I went downstairs to retrieve the sheets needed to replace the dirty sheets.

Me and wife arrived late David was great after a long day very professional and gave excellent information and recommended good restaurant. Manager working late shift was great too. Being in hospitality for years i appreciate good service.

The people were kind and helpful and we loved the breakfast and happy hour.

Terrific rooms, have stayed here many times both for business and pleasure. Awesome staff, very helpful.

The Front Desk staff was incredible. They went above and beyond in helping us feel welcome and decreased our stress level "in the city" We were ready to leave and they tried to help us in every way manage the parking, the carts, the multiple elevators. They were priceless. The breakfast staff was also 100% welcoming and helpful complete with smiles and extra care.

The room was very nice and the hotel was in great condition but it was very noisy and the staff was not helpful. The room next to me was throwing parties every night with underage kids drinking in front of my room and they were playing loud music until 5am and banging on the walls. The hotel has no security and I called the front desk several times but nothing was done. I was not even offered a room change. I finally had to call tbe police just to get a couple hours of sleep after e nights before checking out. I asked to speak to the manager several times and was always told that one was not available. When I finally spoke to a manager upon checkout only after calling cooperate to complain I was only offered to have my $30 per day parking waived which I was not even aware I was being charged. I am a Hilton Honors member and this was not what I expected from a Hilton.

The young woman who checked us in spoke very quietly and we had to ask her to repeat everything. We are in our 50's but not deaf and don't usually have trouble hearing. She then gave us an incorrect number of drink and breakfast tickets but once we got all of that fixed the stay was excellent as always with Embassy Suites. This location is right at the metro station but the signs from the station to the hotel were awful. Again once we figured olut the 3 elevator system yes 3 elevators it was great. Great area around hotel with places to eat and shop. If I ever return to the area I would stay again for sure.

First time at this hotel. Hotel has on site self parking in parking garage attached to hotel building. Hotel located inside a pavilion with restaurants, offices, etc. Lots of shopping and food options directly outside of hotel as well. Easy, walkable area. Subway and Bus station directly across the street from hotel. Free breakfast for hotel guests with a made-to-order omelet station. Would recommend. Would stay again.

You could not ask for a better location to access the metro and spend all day in DC! The hotel was clean and quiet and the rooms are layed out well for privacy

My family of 4 stayed here. It was the perfect location to hop on the metro and head into DC. Breakfast was excellent each morning and we were also given coupons for happy hour! Others have mentioned the mall is closed, but we didn’t mind that. It made the hotel quiet. The Cheesecake Factory is still open and that was a great dining option. Definitely stay here!

Transportation to downtown DC was extremely easy with the tunnel to the metro under the hotel. The made to order omelettes at breakfast were delicious. I wish the pre-made items like sausage, eggs etc were warmer. The room was spacious and comfortable and the kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool at the end of each busy day. There was plenty of parking in the downstairs garage as well. Hope to see the mall revitalized so that there are more shopping options in the building. We’d stay again.

This hotel feels like shell of its former self, even though this is the first time I've ever been here. It just has that vibe. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was very accommodating and kind, the breakfast was delicious and ample, if unvaried, and it had a guest laundry, an extensive gym, and a pool, which all proved valuable to us. The convenience of its location directly above a metro station cannot be overstated. But you can tell the construction and closing of several businesses surrounding the hotel has robbed it of its former spark. There's no life here, when it feels like there should be. I would recommend a stay here in a heartbeat, and I hope it can find its way again and bring the groove back.

Not the hotel's fault, but the neighborhood is undergoing a total overhaul. This hotel was once an anchor in a fun shopping center, with shops, cafes, restaurants, etc. Now it's very isolated, as one of the only businesses operating in the huge Chevy Chase Pavilion.

Clean, comfortable and convenient. Go down a couple of escalators from the lobby and you're at the entrance to the DC Metro subway and bus stations. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Great hotel is in a nice area with a metro station underneath. Good restaurants around. Very eadu to get into the National Mall and other sights.

Thoroughly enjoyed my 2-day stay. My daughter and I loved the Manager's Reception and omelettes for breakfast! I'd love to stay again!

Fab hotel. Really close to Metro to get to main sites. Good parking, great breakfast and free drinks and snacks or an evening. Cheesecake factory located in hotel was lovely

This Embassy Suites was a very nice property and the staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast, however, was far below the standards for the Embassy Suites brand. Instead of the traditional cooked-to-order breakfast, this one has only a limited buffet on a Saturday. The qualify of the food served was also sub-standard for this brand. Home fries were deep fried and very hard, sausage was overcooked, tough and dry, the eggs tasted like reconstituted powdered eggs. I have never before given a less than 5-star review of an Embassy Suites.
