This was our 4th stay at the Daytona Hilton oceanfront. The previous stays were enjoyable with clean rooms and comfortable. This stay makes me want to try a different hotel next time. The room they gave us was a handicap accessible room with a thermostat mounted 3 feet from the floor and a shower head that was 5 feet at its highest setting. All of which would have been fine had we requested such a room. When we arrived we found the cloth chair in the room had a brown stain that looked like someone $h!t on it and tried to wipe ot off. The chair to the desk had a large tear in the leather. The room was warm so we dropped the thermostat and left for dinner. After we arrived back to the room at 9 pm we found it was still hot and had to contact the front desk and asked for a room change. We were told maintenance would arrive soon to look at the AC. The man arrived at 9:45 pm and at 10 pm left after repairing the issue. It took almost another hour for the room to cool down. In the morning we found the tub drained slow and we stood in 6" of water by the time we were done. The sink was a slow small stream at best with both cold and hot water on. To top it all off we found that the main pool overlooking the ocean was closed due to a chlorine issue. Disappointing stay to say the least.

I had high hopes for this hotel and it probably used to be amazing. There is so much potential to still be a great hotel. Seemed runned down, loose faucets , shower wouldnt turn on , no chance of speaking to room service or guest services. The part my family was most disappointed in were the amenities. The pool was neon green, more surprising tons of people still swimming in it. The pool should have been closed for an emergency shocking treatment. The lcoation was amazing , potential definitely there but needs up keep.
