Hampton Inn Debary/Deltona

It was okay but at night it's a little sketchy. You can do better.

This was not at all what we would’ve expected from a Hampton property! We chose this because of the hot tub amenity. Unfortunately, the hot tub was disgusting. Not clean and smelled of mildew, definitely not treated properly with chemicals! The entire pool deck was dirty and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. There were ants, cigarette butts and leaves all over. The pool was definitely not maintained. Very dirty and a lot of leaves in it. The property is in severe need of some good maintenance in general. Our bathroom had either mildew or black mold splotches on the ceiling growing. The air conditioner was very loud and we were wondering if it was going to keep working for the night. The room smelled of mildew and it was somewhat clean, but just kind of surface cleaned. The wallpaper in the bathroom was worn to the point of the print wearing off and peeling from the walls in places. The staff was less than friendly. We had to catch an early flight so we didn’t stay for the breakfast, but I doubt I would’ve wanted to risk eating it. We were very disappointed in this property. If you’re staying in the Sanford area, I would recommend choosing the hotels on Ava Court instead. That’s where we usually go and we should’ve stuck with that!

First room- dirty desk top dresser/tv top, ac was working , room was extremely hot and smelled like mold, mold in shower, second room moved to was nice but tv didn’t work and then was told I would have to leave because they couldn’t do anything to fix issues for our stay of which was due to a family funeral. You took a family crisis and made things worse. I had to struggle to get a new room at another hotel. The night person was wrong and seemed to be trying to get me excited so he could phone police. I hope the footage is reviewed and he is disciplined. I will not stay at this this company’s hotels ever again because of this and will ensure my company won’t either.

The staff were nice, and the hotel seemed clean. Our room didn't seem to be what I would expect from Hampton. It was hard to figure out how to work the blinds, the tub was hard to figure out, and it was hard to turn the nobs, and there was no microwave in the room. We needed to leave at 5:30, and they already had food out, which was very good.
