A wonderful atmosphere with an eclectic vibe. Live music each evening accompanied by nice wine and good conversation.The garden is beautiful with an amazing collection of rare Cuban pottery, diverse statuary and African Spurred Tortoises. Special support and care were provided by Ray, on site manager, who can make any island arrangements, and Doctor Phil, the pool bartender and philosopher. I hope to return soon and would highly recommend this centrally located gem a block away from Duval Street.

Lovely hotel, relaxing gardens to walk through, beautiful small pool and poolside bar. There is also a 2nd pool. Great happy hour with live music, think piano or jazz trio. Large rooms, tastefully furnished, large porches or decks. Delicious breakfasts. Location is perfect, walkable to everything. The hotel also has bikes. Be in the heart of Key West in your own Oasis of comfort and style.

Magical! The staff was amazing, friendly, and very accommodating. Breakfast was delicious. Loved the wine bar. The pool was clean. The room was clean. No complaints! Would definitely return.

Everything was excellent, very calm very beautiful property. Nice heated pool 24 hrs open, extremely good staff. Very glad I chose them for my stay. Would not had enjoyed as much, honestly. One street from Duval St, so yeah location was awesome. Parking is definitely tight, so big cars have to be extra careful. Noise from the outside was almost non existent. Try the wines and the bottles if you like them. Decent breakfast. Bar in front of the pool, see the turtles! I mean, is a nice beautiful calm hotel. Really enjoyed my stay here.

Great place to stay while exploring Key West. Quiet garden area with nice pool, birds and even a few tortoises! Breakfast was good and services by very friendly staff. Only issue was we had no tv for the time we were there even though we told the office twice.

Best Hotel in Key West! My husband and I had booked a hotel room at another hotel and later decided to change hotels. We are so glad we did, The Garden Hotel was 10/10, starting from the welcome prosseco drinks, to complementary water each day in our room, cleaned our room everyday, new towels, and made the bed. They have a Wine Galley where you can choose from any of there specialty wines, they have a great selection. You are given a card to insert to pay for the wine, at the end if your stay you'll pay the balance on the card. So convenient I must say. The breakfast was amazing, they served Avacado Toast with green and red tomatoes, red potatoes with a salsa on the side, yogurt with fresh fruit, orange juice and water. Best breakfast and service. The pool was awesome, cleaned everyday and open 24/7. They offer pool floats, they have a pool bar and have happy hour with musician playing from 5 pm -7 pm. The cabana bathroom has towels and a shower to rinse off. Our flight was later in the day and they allowed us to leave our bags there while we continued our trip, let us shower and get ready for our flight in their cabana bathroom. The end of our stay was bitter sweet for us. We did not want to leave, the garden hotel felt like home to us. We will definitely be back and will recommend this beautiful hotel to everyone. Rodha, George, and Philip were amazing people, so sweet and nice they made us feel right at home. Thank you so much!

It's just a short walk to Duval Street, which makes it incredibly convenient, but far enough away that you feel like you’ve escaped into a quiet, tropical oasis. This place was amazing! We loved how quiet it was. The ameneties of its our bar and even an extra cabana bathroom we used even after check out was very nice. The wine bar is a great feature if you like regular red and white (no sweet ones.) Everything was so easy from walming to duval which is 1 block away to renting bikes for the day. A bed and breakfast with a hotel feel. Will definitely be coming back!

This was a splurge and we enjoyed it! Ray, at check-in, was exceedingly welcoming and courteous. We took advantage of the wine bar and the live piano music. While we did not partake, the outdoor bar and heated pool in the courtyard looked delightful and was certainly being enjoyed by other guests. Our room was clean and the A/C was cold. Breakfast in the courtyard was filling and a lovely setting to boot.

Over the top staff and facilities. Rooms were perfect, very clean along with outstanding ambiance. Jazz in the afternoon, refreshments by the pool, and a friendly cat checking in on everyone. Highly recommend, with the convenient location to Duval Street a bonus!

We stayed in the cottages, cottage #3. The cottages are not actually on the Gardens property but were directly next door to the Gardens Hotel. The Gardens Hotel property are lush and beautiful, while the cottages are set behind a home in the back of the lot. It feels like a different hotel even though it's part of the Gardens. The cottage itself was big and luxurious but had a strong musty odor. If we stayed again, we would pass on the cottages for the overall experience of staying on the Gardens property.

The room was great. Very comfy bed. Loved the private veranda & the gardens. The hotel is located a short walk from Duval St and lots Key West has to offer. The staff was friendly. Downside: housekeeping failed to clean my room 1 day during my stay despite my leaving the sign on my door requesting it. Breakfast was freshly made but hit or miss on quality. One morning delicious, the next not edible. The menu is the same each day except for 1 entree that changes, so not a lot of variety to choose from. My other complaint is that the hotel website says they now have Apple TV. This makes it sound like you can turn on the TV and start watching Apple TV shows. However, this is not the case. You have to have your own Apple TV subscription and then log in to watch. So why advertise you have apps? Very misleading. In fact, their whole tv setup is apps, which you have to have your own subscription to watch. Therefore, you can't watch anything at the hotel because they setup the tvs without anything free to watch for guests.

From start to finish this was an amazing visit. The gentleman at the front desk was so helpful, our room (the carriage house) was perfect, and the pool was always empty and warm. Landscaping at the property was jaw-droppingly beautiful. One of the top 3 overnight accommodations we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at….cant wait to go back!

Beautiful grounds. Friendly and personable staff. Stayed in the eyebrow suite. Bed was comfortable and there was good water pressure in the shower. The tub however runs out of hot water at less than half full. It is a block from the fire station but we didn’t have any firetrucks interrupting our sleep the 2 nights of our stay. Very convenient location for walking around town.

People played a player piano until nearly 2am on a Wednesday night and off course we had to be up at 5am for a chartered fishing trip. Doors slamming, creaking stairs... Not the place to stay if you're a light sleeper. The ugly- One of the worst mattresses I've ever slept on. It sagged like a hammock! Bottom line,, we wouldn't stay there again but that was our experience.

Checked in alone as I was extending a business trip in Miami and had never been. General Manager checks you in personally and gives you tour of amazing property. Cottage/Condo type room with large living room and kitchen for entertaining and spacious master bedroom. Absolutely wonderful grounds behind main hotel with pools and terrific landscaping. Location is absolutely perfect. Close to all the action but far enough away so you don't hear it and can enjoy this oasis when you want some quite time.

The room was great. Very comfy bed. Loved the private veranda & the gardens. The hotel is located a short walk from Duval St and lots Key West has to offer. The staff was friendly. Downside: housekeeping failed to clean my room 1 day during my stay despite my leaving the sign on my door requesting it. Breakfast was freshly made but hit or miss on quality. One morning delicious, the next not edible. The menu is the same each day except for 1 entree that changes, so not a lot of variety to choose from. You have to have your own Apple TV subscription and then log in to watch. So why advertise you have apps? Very misleading. Great place to stay while exploring Key West. Quiet garden area with nice pool, birds and even a few tortoises! Breakfast was good and services by very friendly staff. Only issue was we had no tv for the time we were there even though we told the office twice.

Close to Duval Street. Very $$ for what was offered. Room was small, no elevator or porter for bags or ice. Mattress horrible. Bathroom small. TV was minuscule. Garden view was a parking lot.

Pros - walking distance to many restaurants, bars and excursions. Staff were helpful and kind. Gardens made a nice escape as there were several animals hiding in and under the canopy. The bar was a mellow place to relax and/or grab a glass of wine and hang out in the courtyard. Breakfast was different each day, which made for a lovely surprise in the morning. Lucy was a wonderful distraction and added to the stay. Having a kitty around is quite calming. Cons - we stayed in Room 1, which was at the top of the main buildings stairs. Which is also over the office; over the music (live daily and also played over speakers under the deck of Room 1); over the kitchen and surrounded by the two morning roosters who took turns starting at 3:30. Needless to say there was little quiet and you might want to ask for a room in a different part of the establishment if you are looking for peace and quiet. The only other issue I had was there should be two folks serving/cleaning at breakfast as most days the coffee was empty and tables were dirty.

We had a wonderful stay at the Gardens Hotel! It was very charming and a nice getaway for us. The peaceful setting of the gardens, tortoises, and waterfall fountains made it feel very serene. The morning breakfast and live music in the afternoons was great. If you wanted to go out and explore the town, Duval street was just a block away. The staff was incredible and we would like to give a big thank you to "Dr. Phil Good" for the incredible pina colada, strawberry daiquiri, and mango daiquiri. We also would like to give a shout out to Rhoda, George, and Annette for their excellent service. We will be back!

Hotel and staff was exceptional with one exception. The bartender cut off service after two drinks. He embarrassed me. I’m a loud talker and was dancing to the music. He took that as being drunk. It was uncomfortable afterwards we left a day early. The manager did agree to refund last night stay.

Over the top staff and facilities. Rooms were perfect, very clean along with outstanding ambiance. Jazz in the afternoon, refreshments by the pool, and a friendly cat checking in on everyone. Highly recommend, with the convenient location to Duval Street a bonus!

We loved our stay in the gardens. We came come for our anniversary and it was absolutely perfect. From check in to check out we were treated so well. The hotels pool was clean, the hotel music and bar was wonderful. We loved the beautiful gardens surrounding the entire property. Breakfast was delicious offering a new option everyday (on tops of your standard eggs and potatoes) it was served fresh and all the choices were great. I have already recommended this place to multiple people. We will for sure be back!

Roda was our first impression before even arriving to the property. She was spectacular from start to end! We were able to check in early, enjoy the pool with my mom and sister, and have the best experience at Gardens Hotel. Roda, Phil at the bar, and George at breakfast were all fabulous. Very kind, went out of the way, and very very welcoming. You feel at home. Before leaving breakfast, we made sure to have a future reservation set up! See you all at the end of Sept!

The Gardens Hotel is a beautiful oasis in the middle of busy Key West. Located right off of central Duval St., it’s close to all the bars, restaurants, and attractions. Its gorgeous grounds, rooms and pool are a relaxing respite from busy Duval, but you’re steps away when you’re ready to go. Everyone at the hotel was kind and welcoming—we understood immediately why people keep coming back. Our time at the pool and pool bar were some of the best of our trip! The rooms are large and beautifully decorated and the breakfast each morning is delicious. We are leaving relaxed and happy, and will definitely stay at the Gardens whenever we are in Key West!

This was a splurge and we enjoyed it! Ray, at check-in, was exceedingly welcoming and courteous. We took advantage of the wine bar and the live piano music. While we did not partake, the outdoor bar and heated pool in the courtyard looked delightful and was certainly being enjoyed by other guests. Our room was clean and the A/C was cold. Breakfast in the courtyard was filling and a lovely setting to boot.

The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was excellent; the staff were friendly and always ready to help. The only downside was breakfast. I ordered avocado toast, but the bread was badly burnt, which really took away from the dish. Hopefully, it was just a one-time issue. Aside from that, it’s a lovely hotel, and I would happily stay here again!

The hospitality here, along with a clean room, truly great breakfast (by Chef Annette), good location, and high value had us discussing our next stay here before we even left. Super great place to stay. First time visitors to the Keys but will stay at the Gardens when we come again. Loved the ambiance, service and pace of the hotel. Pool was great as was the poolside bar w/ Annette, great fun and super good service. Breakfast was great, not just normal hotel eats. Also really enjoyed the evening live music and bar before we went out to dinner each night. Loved the entire package of the Gardens!
Super great place to stay. First time visitors to the Keys but will stay at the Gardens when we come again. Loved the ambiance, service and pace of the hotel. Pool was great as was the poolside bar w/ Annette, great fun and super good service. Breakfast was great, not just normal hotel eats. Also really enjoyed the evening live music and bar before we went out to dinner each night. Loved the entire package of the Gardens!

The Gardens Hotel is an absolutely amazing property! The rooms/bathrooms are beautiful and they thought of everything when it comes to amenities. The mattress, pillows and blankets were very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and well worth showing up for the morning meal. The staff—top notch! Beautiful pool area/bar and piano in the evenings. Amazing 6 day stay!
