I booked a two night stay at this hotel because we had along layover in Miami on our way to St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands. I selected this hotel because it advertised fully renovated and had a pool so we could spend our full day there lounging by the pool. When we arrived we were given a room on the terrace (pool) deck that looked directly out at a wall with an entrance to the gym and a partial view of the pool deck. The pool was closed for renovations and I was told by the front desk it had been that way for a year. There was no mention on Hotels.com listing or on the hotel's own website that the pool was closed for renovations. The hotel said it was on their website but I looked at every page and every photo, no mention of the pool being closed. The front desk manager argued with me that because I booked on Hotels.com there was little they would do and offered me $30 off for the inconvenience. No excuse for this except for deceptive advertising of their amenities.
