Ocean Breeze Inn

The guy was asleep in the lobby when we got there to check in. It was only 6pm. The listing says there is a hot tub but there is not. When we asked about it we were told it was not his problem. The pool was freezing cold and some old man told us he warmed it up for us by peeing in it. The police showed up to the place twice. The only nice thing is the location to popular attractions.

There were only two things that made it not a 5 star stay. The chain lock was missing from our first floor room and the electric sockets by the bed didn’t work. Neither was a big enough deal to really even mention or ask to change rooms. Sue was nice enough to let us store our luggage before check in and let us change so we could go eat lunch after traveling since 2am. We would stay again and are actually currently in the process of planning another visit. Plenty of food options available within walking distance and right across the road from the beach and pier. There’s a splash pad there at the beach too. The pool is a little chilly but still feels nice after walking around all day.

We enjoyed our stay. Parking was easy. Room was clean. Close proximity to events. This was not our first stay here. We’ll be back!

Clean comfortable hotel. Safe parking with cameras. Well maintained pool. Across the street from beach access and close to mzny dining options. Reasonably priced as well.

The parking lot lines were way too close. Couldn't open my van with a car parked next to me. Will not stay there again.

Clean, large room. Its an older building but has had quite a few renos. Lots of good places to eat, easy walking distance to to beach and pier. Historic St Augustine is about a 10 min drive. Pool but didnt see a hottub, may want clarify with the hotel if thats a deal breaker. For the price, we would definitely stay again

it was a beautiful location and stayed there for Daytona bike week. only problem was that the parking was not paved, and sand was not safe for bikers. I dropped my bike because of that, also TV was outdated and remote did not operate correctly. if they would pave the parking lot i would stay there again and there is always room for improvement and to make it safer to park there.

The person checking us in should not be the face of the business. Very mechanical and borderline rude. The person checking us out however was extremely pleasant. The hotel is an old Super 8 that they have kept well. Pool was nice and plenty of parking. Beach is across the street and a awesome seafood restaurant is right beside the hotel. If you want a king room, they are all on the second level and there isn't an elevator. (at least that is what Mr. Personality told me when checking in). Overall, I would stay here again.

Room was clean, but it did have an aroma...perhaps an overused air freshener. We stopped noticing it right away and it didn't affect our stay. Overall the room was a bit dated, but clean and functional.

We have stayed here many times. It's convenient to the Amp and the beaches. And the price is r8ght. Several great restaurants and the beach are an easy walk away. Clean and decent bedding, frig and microwave in the rooms. Usually quiet but some remodeling in one building going on. At least they didn't start til about 9am.

Good value but the room smelled overwhelmingly musty and the carpet left the bottoms of our feet black.

The toilet was filthy . When bathing baby I got down on my knees and saw the mold all inside the rim of toilet . Also room service never cleaned the faucet when they came in and cleaned while we were out .

“Breakfast included” is a lie, there is only muffin and coffee basically, there is no way we can consider as breakfast. The rooms are dirty, especially the carpets, if you get 5 minutes barefoot your feet are gonna be black, you feel oil in your feet, disgusting. The ACs are dirty, so if you are allergic you are gonna suffer from that, and the noise of the AC is super loud. The rooms are dark, there is no good illumination on it. Bad experience

This was one of the cleanest and best maintained hotels in this price range I have stayed at in recent years.

Property is nearby the beach and restaurants - pro. Room’s carpet dirty, do not recommend walking bear foot; really needs shampooing carpet treatment, ice machine don’t work, no microwave in room, refrigerator not cooling properly - cons.

The rooms were very clean and everything was great. The TVs are a little dated and the beds could be better quality. But for the price its good.

This is my second stay here. I have no real complaints but remembered once my head hit the pillows that the pillows need to be changed. They are hard, small and each bed needs 2 more pillows, otherwise comfortable. The floors need mopping as my bare feet got really dirty walking around.

Sink didn't work. TV didn't work. Half of the electric outlets didn't work. Smelled like mold so I had to go buy products to do reduce that . Positives: Right across from the beach. Plenty of restaurants/bars close by.

The first employee that checked us in was pleasant. The parking seemed a little sparse, but we didn’t have an issue finding a space. From the outside to the inside, it wasn’t the cleanest and seems run down. The water pressure in the sink faucets were almost nonexistent, but the shower was okay. Clean linens and toiletries were provided. The room we stayed in was strangely large, it felt like we were sleeping in an empty ballroom. There is no breakfast provided but there was a mini fridge, microwave and single serve coffee maker and we made that work. We really just needed a place to wash up and rest for the night, and for that, it was as expected. There weren’t crowds or any nuisances which was great. Traffic was minimal at the end of the strip there. Very close to the amp and a short walk across the street to the beach. The employee that checked us out just seemed like she hated the entire world and her life, but whatever, grump on. For the price in that area, we’ll consider booking here again if the need ever arises so long as we don’t find cheaper.

I would've rated a 5 if the USB ports on wall worked.. Our friends were assigned a room with an adjoining room- very bad experience for them due to noise from other adjoining room that was not us!!

Has a wall a/c which can be noisy at night. Was at best okay

Clean, quiet, quick walk to beach and restaurants. Beds are older, lumpy, and not very comfortable.

We came back from the beach and the water was off. No water for the shower or toilet. Upon contact of the front desk they said we had a major problem and hung up. They had no water available, i had to go to the convince store to purchase several gallons of water to flush the toilet. After 4 hours the water came back on and had to be run for 15 minutes to get the brown out, The property is no smoking but they provide ash trays outside the rooms, we had to smell the smoke and some filtered into the room from the air condition. I asked the front desk for a discount for the inconvience and they said we don’t do that..

The hotel itself is spacious, clean, and quiet. It's close to the beach and multiple restaurants. Easily one of the most affordable in the area, however, the staff is horrible. They're rude, condescending and impatient. I'll never stay here again.

Staff was rude. Check in lady was rude and acted like everything was an issue. Told them I knew I was 15 minutes early but I was going to go head and check in and we would wait for time while we ate our ice cream in the car. She was short and rude the entire time telling me that the door would not be unlocked until 3:00 pm which I stated was fine. She kept repeating it and demanding a card to put on file despite room being paid for through hotels.com. I gave her my spare that stays locked unless I need it. Rooms were damp and didn’t have enough towels. Staff had a fit when requesting extra towels stating they wouldn’t have enough if everyone needed towels. It was literally 3 additional towels as we all needed towels for body and hair. Guy huffed and puffed but finally handed over the towels. Weirdest experience ever. Bathroom had random bugs in the tub and hair. Hair was on the toilet as well. Walls are paper thin so you hear EVERYTHING. People sit out on the walkway to smoke so all the smoke filters through the cracks in the door. The keycard only wanted to work after about a dozen times of scanning it and you had to make sure the doorknob was in just the right spot for it to actually open. Oh and the chain lock on the hotel door was broken.

The Ocean Breeze Inn has recently been refurbished. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The beds are too hard for my liking, but some may like that. The location is excellent, close to the beach, the pier and old town. Some online information is outdated, there is no breakfast served at this facility. Overall, we had a marvelous time.

We are on a 3 month tour of the States and this is motel 28. I had to asked to be moved from the first room due to the domestic going on in the room next door. this was completed without issue. There were a lot of people just standing outside there rooms which seemed very strange and somewhat unsettling. The motel looks good from the outside and the room was big however the bathroom was very small and the shower had poor pressure. The position is close to the beach and places to eat. Would i stay again? i dont think so due to the strange activities

The location is great for the price, the maids are also great. The front desk which is probably the owner(they were already there when it was still a super 8) are more than unfriendly, treat customers like if they have to be thankful to stay there....

So I arrived at the hotel at 3 PM which was the check-in time. The hotels doors were still locked. Just a couple of minutes later the owner/desk came to the front to help me. She was not helpful. Nor was she pleasant on any level. She said she was the wife of the owner. I don’t know if that’s true but this is not been the most fabulous check-in thing on any level. So I hope they get better in the future.

The Ocean Breeze is a older hotel that, while with exceptionally clean rooms, offers nothing to hotel guests. The front desk is not staffed adequately; I had to wait for someone to appear from a back room before I could check in. The hotel takes a photocopy of your charge card--it is NOT entered into secure site on the computer. I questioned his practice, and the clerk was rude in her answer that "We've done this for thirty years." The office is also completely closed, with the doors locked, from about 11:30am-3:00pm; a sign states to go to the laundry room if anything is needed and check in isn't until 3:00pm. I was also refused a receipt when we checked out because "You booked through a third party; ask them for a receipt." The hotel states that their serve breakfast, but the breakfast is two varieties of Otis Spunkmeyer muffins, packages of oatmeal, and 4 oz containers of Yoplait. The photograph of the pool is obviously photoshopped, because the pool is small and in need of renovation. One great thing about this hotel is its location to restaurants and the beach. Salt Life Food Shack is right next door, and Crabbies and Sunset Grille are within a five minute walk. The beach pier is also very close. Even with its location and clean room, we will not stay here again.

Fantastic location for St. Augustine Beach and St. Augustine. Rode my bicycle everywhere after parking the truck. Great restaurant with music nextdoor and many choices nearby. Just across the street from the ocean Fishing Pier and south end of Anastasia State Park Beach. Price is best. Room renovated and clean. Frig, microwave. Room had adjoining doors which allowed a bit of noise from neighboring room but not bad. Pool nice and clean. Only two loungers but again not an issue. Definitely staying here again.

Great location right across from the beach. Clean room, which seemed to have been recently updated. Other than that just a basic hotel with no real perks.

This was a great place to stay on our road trip. The beach was a blovk away and the area was quiet and felt safe. The room was clean and comfortable. This is a great place to stay if you are looking for a good, affordable option that is clean, safe, and comfortable.

It was convenient to downtown St. Augustine and local restaurants on the beach side. The St. Augustine pier was across the street making for an easy access to the beach. The price of the rooms was great for all that the area has to offer. I would stay there again.

The restaurant just across the parking lot was incredible, attentive workers, clean with great air conditioner/heater, comfortable bed, good experience overall, we would go back there, easy short trip to downtown St Augustine a plus with cost being paramount in our decision.

The room was clean. The king size bed made noise when you got in or out of it. The fridge was on the floor and not at a proper height. The was no microwave in the room. The complimentary breakfast consisted of weak coffee, orange juice, packaged muffins and packets of oatmeal. Not what I would consider a real breakfast The staff was not very friendly. I would not stay here again for the price.

Certainly a decent rate and a clean enough hotel. Includes breakfast; however it was basically muffins, juice and coffee - that's a snack. The option for and sand buckets for smoking right outside the rooms. Good restaurants and access to amenities and the beach.

We stayed here for the Festival of Lights. It's a basic hotel, but was clean, and served our needs. There is a large bar/restaurant right next door, and the pier and beach is right across the street. We got a taxi into downtown St. Augustine for $20 each way.

The location was Ok, but they said breakfast included and statec they did not prepared because there wasnot enought guest.

Good location, average motel. Clean and simple, no frills, but close to beach, with Embassy Suites across the street and Salt Life next door.

This place offers quite a value and it's located right next to Salt Life and across the street from the pier.

Salt Life Restaurant is next door which is great. There is no bar at this hotel like it says on Expedia. Rooms are renovated and clean. Beach is across the street. Breakfast is continental muffins and coffee.
