Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Tampa Brandon

Hotel was small and dated. We were charged $10 for parking but that was not mentioned when we checked in. Breakfast needed a few more choices

Our room was very clean, which is important. Unfortunately, a strong smell of weed was all around, which I’m sure the hotel could not totally control that. My husband didn’t like the breakfast but it was okay to me. Now, my problem is with the parking outside. If you come in later in the evening the only parking available is in the back of the property and the lighting is awful. Please improve on the lighting. This is our second stay at this particular property and was stuck in back in the almost dark parking area. Otherwise, the stay was good.

It was excellent. Only bad there was not enough parking space. Too many trucks parked taking two or more spaces.

Heck. Was quick. Was charged $10 for parking even though it wasn’t stated on the website. It was just on a sign in the lobby.

The elevator wasn’t working the whole time (4days) and breakfast did not have juice

This hotel is in Florida, we expected to be able to swim. Pool was totally green and closed for "repair". No notice in advance was given. Says it had laundry facility at check-in in the fitness center. Fitness center had 2 treadmills and no space for anything else. Front desk said washer was broken, however there wasn't one. She suggested we ask the Courtyard Marriott across the parking lot if we could use theirs. We traveled to a laundromat. We have never been in a Marriott hotel is such need of updating.

The hotel is very nice and I would stay there again. Breakfast was mediocre. Bed was very comfortable. My only 2 complaints are that the showe had very low pressure and parking was a nightmare. Apparently, they allow huge trucks, trucks with trailers, work trucks to park all over taking up 2-5 spaces of customer parking. It was ridiculous. We ended up having to park in back of the hotel across from this one because there was absolutely no space if arriving after 9. Have a dedicated spot for trucks and trailers pulling construction equipment and limit the number you allow. It was like this 2 of the nights we were there of the 3. Do better!

There was low water pressure at the bath tub. The shower head did nor spray it dribbled. I called and requested access to another room for a shower only and was met with resistance from the mgr. She ultimately relented saving me from being late for an appointment. Also there was a $10 per night parking fee that was not on either their website or the Expedia website. I got it waived. They should change their logo from the fancy M for Marriott to a shrug.

The property itself was good. Staff was nice and professional. The parking was full out front. No light in the back of property where the additional parking is located. Alot of foot traffic.

The front desk staff (McKenzie I think) was awesome. She greeted us warmly. She was friendly, informative and professional. I was unaware of a parking fee until she asked for my credit card for incidentals. Just that alone had me wishing I had chosen somewhere else to stay. I don’t like this nickel and dime fees that are basic B.S. The crew that manned the breakfast was attentive and made sure to keep everything stocked (especially the bacon.). The juice machine was broken and there seemed no backup was thought of so we headed out to purchase some. The pros for this property is the staff, who did a great job despite broken equipment (luggage carts, juice machine, etc) and having to charge the B.S. fees for things that don’t make sense, but seemed to be a money grab. I wouldn’t stay here again just because of the parking fee. I’m disappointed that a great deal turned into not so great.

The hotel is in good conditions. However, the AC in the room and the room smell like mold or moisture. Make sure to check your room when you check in for this.

My room on the third floor had Tiny white bugs crawling in the wood fixtures! (I have video) I grabbed my bags and went to the front desk immediately. The lady was very nice and apologetic, she stated that she couldn't issue a refund due to me booking through a third party (expedia) and offered to switch my room to the first floor. I asked her to come with me and grab cleaning supplies and gloves because she was gonna have to check for bugs, spray and wipe down. I DONT DO BUGS!!!! the room was fine no bugs from that point BUT it was a very unsettling feeling. I was ready to go! They put on hold on your card for incidentals, then the hold is released after you "check out" it's been almost a week since check out and the transaction is still pending. Overall not a good experience for me.

Convenient to highway and downtown Tampa Room smelled like mildew

Bathroom had mold on the celling..walls had stain....shower water runs really slow... Asked to change the room but they said manager needs to do it in the morning... Asked for the manager in the morning and no one was available.

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast had a great selection of food for breakfast. The staff was all very friendly.

The entrance to the hotel is fully garbage and old clothes thrown in the middle of the street. Ferrell cats all over. Room was not cleaned properly. Old cereal under the beds and we were given a pack and play for our baby and it was full of old food and sticky. Tub was not clean either. I cleaned my room.

It was a great hotel but there was no ice and they had a power surge and the TV would not come back on and when it came back on I only had 3 channels.

Very good location to main attractions.. very please with comfort. The room had a slight musty odor upon walking in, but nothing g go be concerned about. Great price for a Marriott

Overall it was very satisfactory. I do wonder how often the rugs in the rooms are cleaned, though. Biggest point of dissatisfaction was the lighting in the room. It is very dim. Otherwise, worth staying again.

The AC unit in the room squeaked like a mouse was running on a wheel in it and the room always felt humid.

The only issue (room 106) was the air conditioner was crazy loud. I can sleep through anything, so it was not an issue with me, but I can see where others would be bothered.

I didn't like the fact that there wasn't a microwave in my room. There's a microwave in the lobby but it's not really convenient.

It’s an older property but clean and well kept, nothing fancy. Breakfast had everything, excellent. Room had micro, frig and coffee pot but coffee in lobby at all times. Was well pleased and definitely recommend. Off main highway so quiet.

Outdated tvs with no guide an a remote that has limited options. For context, remote didn’t even have a mute button. Pillows were fluffy but easily flattened. Building was noisy with thumping steps heard thru out the night a random sounds. Breakfast was good only for the country sausage slices, biscuits an coffee. Would NOT stay here again.

We stayed here because it was convenient to family. It looks nice but has mechanical issues. The elevator broke on the first day. There was NO urgency to fix it. It was broken the entire stay.The sink in our bathroom was clogged and disgusting. We moved to the first floor to an accessible room. The tub faucet was broken. The tub finish was broken down and there is a large dent in the bottom of the tub, which is a falling hazard to a disabled person. We were offered a 3rd room, but couldn't enter because the batteries died on the door lock. Don't stay here. It doesn't deserve to be a Marriott flagged hotel.

Very rude front desk staff, had to change room twice as first room had smell of smoking and second room had dirty bedding ( full of hair , maybe pet hair). After giving me room third time on request as it was late in night, staff mentioned that they will give Marriott rewards credit because of in convenience I faced, but I never got it, later in midnight they gave same room to someone else.( imagine you are in deep sleep and some trying to open your room) They did not even apologize for it. Later in the day when I was looking for refill of hot water in tea coffee stand, they kept me waiting, without even bothering to even try to refill, after 10 mins I went back to my room and used microwave instead. Breakfast staff was good though.

To: Management@the Fairfield/Marriott, Janie Mckenzie, and Sierra (Desk Clerks) I resided at the Fairfield Inn Marriott Hotel from February 14-21, 2024. I must say that I was very pleased with the outstanding Service I receive from Janie, Sierra, and Mckenzie. reason for my trip was death in my family. Upon my arrival, Check in time was 3:00 p.m., and my flight arrived early. When I arrived at the hotel at 12:00, Sierra told me that my room was not ready, apologized, something she did not have to do because of early check-in. She provided my husband and I with free drinks, condiments, as well as an apology for the inconvenience. I have stayed at the Hilton, Embassy, and Hampton as well as other hotels doing my travel. In this day and age, top of the line service was never as good as the Desk Clerks at this Hotel. They represent the face of the Fairfield Inn/Marriott very well. For instance, the night stand lamp had a short, causing my room to black out, and they immediately change my room, apologize for the inconvenience, and provided me with another room. anie, one of the Desk clerks showed Kindness, compassion, care, and concern, something that I most needed due to the passing of my brother. If you want excellent service, a beautiful environment for your stay, as well as place where you will feel at home, this is where you want to be during out of town visits. Look no further because you will find that this staff, as well as services provided at this hotel is ou

All the staff were very welcoming and throughout our stay. Even before we arrived, I had called in with a question and Rachel answered the phone. She was very pleasant and I told my husband “ Wow, someone with a personality and very friendly.” When we arrived to check in I asked for an upgrade because we were celebrating our 50th anniversary. She said certainly and also gave us welcome snacks. Just the little things can mean so much to people.

I stayed 5 nights and my room was not cleaned and no towel replacement even though I asked. The front desk staff were excellent. I think for the $700. I paid my room should warrant a cleaning.

Carpet in elevator needs to be cleaned or replaced it is filthy. Maid service made the beds, gave clean towels (no wash clothes) and did not empty trash cans during 5 day stay. Diana who prepared breakfast was awesome. The dining area was full of guests but Diana put out more food when the food ran out. She kept the tables clean. I applaud her for her hard work and positive attitude even though some of the guest were rude.
