Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites - The Villages by IHG

Staff was friendly, beds were adequate and linen clean. Breakfast was good. However, there were some issues with one being a major problem. There was someone’s clothing hanging on bathroom door when we checked in. Not a big deal but tells me the cleaning was not adequate, food from previous guest was left in microwave, there was what appeared to be dried blood in one spot on bathroom vanity. Lastly, the smoke detector had a plastic bag over it and was clearly tampered with. Unfortunately, we had not noticed until last day. On our check out, I showed pictures to the front desk attendant to which she said she’d take money off our bill and also stated “the last occupants of our room were arrested”. So, someone got arrested and it did not occur to them to scrutinize the room a little more closely? Me and my daughter slept in a room with no fire detection. This hotel had a major safety violation and should not carry the Holiday Inn brand. Will never stay there again.

Close to everything and room was great. Comfortable bed and clean sheets!! Would definitely stay there again!!

Everything was okay, only 3 towels in the bathroom, most disappointing thing was the pool closed at 8. I love to relax and swim some and it was closed so I didnt sleep well.

Awesome hotel

We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast buffet was a treat. The room was clean and the bed comfortable as we have bad backs. Staff was very friendly and efficient.
