Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Atlanta Buford/Mall of Georgia

It’s an older hotel that definitely could use some renovations. Rooms were clean. Pool was COLD. Breakfast was good! Soda, candy and food items sold at the hotel are OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive. Within walking distance of Nothing, you will drive or Uber for anything that requires you leaving the hotel. Including the Stadium for Eggtoberfest!

My husband and I really like how close this hotel is to everything. We stayed here alittle over a year ago and loved it. This time our experience was different. The breakfast wasn’t as good as before. The hotel room wasn’t as clean as before. Although we asked our room to be serviced daily they only service your room every other day. The hotel elevator was out the entire week. The toaster oven was broken in the breakfast area. The personnel were not very friendly except for this young man who had a huge smile on his face. Wish I knew his name. He showed up our last 2 nights there at the hotel. We will be going to another hotel the next time to try it out but sad to know that this hotel seems to be subpar since the last time we stayed there.

Unfortunately the pool wasn’t open during our stay, but everything else was very pleasant.

Reserved the room for 2 nights because of a plumbing issue. We didn't spend a lot of time there - needed it primarily for batching. The bathroom light didn't always work. The toilet was not bolted down very well. My brother got stuck in the elevator for 30-45 minutes Saturday night. The fire department had to rescue him. the assistant manager I spoke to was apologetic but offered nothing - no discount, no refund. The only thing she said was that they were getting ready to renovate.

Property was very near to mall & all shops.. but stil has a quite atmospere. Lot of parking spaces. Front desk staff greet you always. Good breakfast area. Spacious room. Clean bathroom. Clean hotel and parking lot.

The staff was super friendly. The hotel is very conveniently located off Buford Rd. Its close to so many shops and restaurants. But the hotel is off the road enough that it is quiet and nice. No loud traffic or trucks to wake you. The hotel is very clean. Our room was refreshed on day two of our four day stay with fresh towels and garbage removal. The breakfast offered variety. There was a waffle maker, two warmers of hot options. Each pan was divided into two sections, scrambled eggs seemed to be a standard one. Then it was either bacon or sausage. In the second warmer, it was biscuit egg, sausage and cheese sandwiches, bagel sandwiches, or even a quiche. Muffins, bagels, toast, fruit, yogurt, milk, juice, and coffee. There is a pantry room that contains a variety of snacks, drinks and microwavable options. They are pricey, but that's the standard at all hotels. The gym was clean. Offered a small amount of free weights and a small bench. Treads and ellipticals. There were a lot of TV channel options. Never failed to find something in the evening to watch. Bathrooms were nice. Strong shower with adjustable water streams. My only nitpick of the bathroom was the toilet flush was very weak. It was the type that came up and looked as though it was clogging, stayed like that for a couple seconds and then went down normally. Overall this was a very nice stay and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Elevator was broken room had older mattress and pillows. Felt tired and old. Short staffed at 10 pm.

Great place we loved the heated pool perfect for family vacation during Spring Break

The staff was friendly and professional. The rooms were dated and in one case dirty. The first room we were given was dirty and there was even a small roach in there. The second room was better, however it was dated and the window curtin was torn and needed to be replaced.

No complaints except the carpet was not clean. It had been vacuumed but needed to be shampooed. Otherwise no complaints.

We were moved to a double queen room because the king reserved for us had a plumbing issue. Our toilet leaked and some things in the room were broken. There was also a stain on the sheets. However the breakfast was good and the staff was friendly.

So let me say this and I will try be nice but honest . The room was lots painted patches and ceiling in bathroom was patched a lot from water spots and mold . No vent and had lots hair on ceiling keep mind it’s arm reach to ceiling so not hard to clean , bathtubs didn’t drain well and fills up when shower , the best was so soft it was like a water bed feeling , pillows was cheap and not nice . Sheets had stains they are white so you can brown stains , we was planning to stay longer but cut our visit here short , the lobby to room smelled weird and Smokey like someone lives in it and smokes or works there and smokes , pool was decent thought and quite the only plus was pool . This place needs a refurbished asap !!! The bath tub curtain was broken on snaps , water pressure was not good either for shower … this was as bad as a motel 6 or super 8

The toilet did not flush. We were given a plunger, but it still did not work. One of the curtains was torn. Breakfast was ok. Hotel was clean - just needs updates. Convenient location.

Bathroom was not feel clean. Broken shower tiles, shower door would not stay closed so you had to had it closed to shower. Had a lot of black areas around the shower. The room was clean.

Decent hotel for business travel. Walls are thin so you’ll hear your neighbour.

Beds where extremely uncomfortable, no hot water and I had to change rooms to get a minimum amount of hot water, but the staffing was very helpful and managers as well.

I picked this hotel based on price. My room wasn't clean when I arrived. Even though the manager and front desk staff were very helpful in resolving the situation it left me wondering about the cleanliness of the hotel in general. Walls are thin so could hear my neighbors to the sides and upstairs. As well as anyone walking down the hallways. Breakfast was mediocre. Eggs and egg sandwiches were cold.

The room was spacious for a family of 4. The bathroom door was broken but we didn’t let that bother us. Tv was small being a Marriot hotel. Breakfast was ok.Customer service was excellent though. They have an indoor pool which my son loved. Overall I’ll give it maybe a 7/10. It’s close to everything we needed. So it worked for us.

Issues with their hot water system are very frustrating. Sometimes showers were very cold!

Our room didn’t have hot water to shower , the desk clerk told us they couldn’t fix it on a weekend.

This place is old and tired. Thermostat doesn’t work, elevator doesn’t work. Hot water doesn’t work. Really really bad

Very centrally located to dining and shopping yet off the beaten path. I was disappointed in there being no way to close the curtains to black out the room from the parking lot lights.

Went for a weekend with my daughters. The stay was ok for the weekend. The hotel was in a nice and quiet area. The breakfast was good. Our room didn’t have blackout curtains and there was a light in front of our window so it was hard to sleep at night. Overall it was good.

Booked a two night stay here for a quick family trip. There was an extremely rude front desk attendant who called was prejudice and even called the police to have me and my family escorted off the property for expressing our grievances. The rooms are dated and have an unpleasant odor as well. Wouldn’t recommend!

Front Desk Receptionist was wonderful. Friendly, fast, and informative. Definitely a great experience.

The staff made our stay so enjoyable. Roberta went above and beyond to help us late at night. She was so kind at the front desk as well. The breakfast was also pretty good. Would stay here again!

The property was beautiful and well kept. Very good breakfast. I stayed for a week at the property and could not get my room serviced unless I asked for fresh towels. Then, it was only to pick up dirty towels and take out trash. I booked my room for a week and also booked one night for a coworker. The coworker had a family emergency and had to cancel. However, I was unable to cancel her room. I kept asking to speak to a Manager. I was told repeatedly that a Manager would call me, but they never did. I visited the front desk numerous times asking for help, but never got it. On the day of my check out, I was told that since I booked the room through Hotels.com, they had to help. This did not work either. I was told by hotels.com that their policy did not allow for a cancellation due to any reason. Customer service at the hotel and at hotels.com was not acceptable.

Everything was great. The staff was the best.

We booked through hotels.com and when we arrived they said the room we booked was not available. They had us call to cancel and rebook. By the time we got through there were no rooms available. The clerk was rude and unhelpful.

My favorite go to place in Buford across from the Mall of GA and visiting family in Lawrenceville. Modern, easily accessible, but feels private, with easy parking.

Short drive to the Mall with lots of dining and shopping choices. Ease of access to the interstate. Price wasn't bad at all.

Great breakfast!

We slept badly because the headrest was extremely squeaky. The ac unit also made a lot of noise. The staff is excellent! The breakfast was a let down. Eggs were overcooked and the breakfast sandwiches were not appetizing. We won’t be back to this hotel. We are very disappointed with the quality compared to other hotels at the same price range; however, you DO have a fantastic staff.

Full service breakfast and staff was friendly.

The front desk lady was very nice, the rooms are a little small but comfortable besides the old Brown chair in the corner. The pool was heated do it was nice. It was clean & quiet. Biggest complaint is the breakfast. There was oatmeal & cereal. Bagels & muffins. A waffle maker but the only hot food they offered contained pork it was a bagel with egg cheese & pork or sausage biscuits. My family of 5 doesnt eat vpork so that left us with the waffles & ice cold hard boiled eggs. They should have scrambled eggs by Themselves or turkey options, i expected more from a Marriot location.

Quick stay for my spouse and I. Hotel was very nice and clean. The breakfast was ok. The waffle.maker was a little broken the juice has water coming out and the lounge chairs need to be replaced. However, plenty of things to do and places to et in thw area.

The hot breakfast was not pleasant. What was served on Saturday and Sunday was hard as a rock

Everything is nice and clean the stuff very respectful and helpful but when comes to breakfast is not good at all everyday they serve the same food bagels were not fresh all they serve is scramble eggs and sausage
