Mahya Hotel

The hotel is very clean, cheap, friendly, and has honest staff. It is not far from attractions such as Sultan Ahmet Mosque, the beach, etc.; the Yenikapi metro station is about a 10-minute walk (4 stations to Taksim-Meydanı). The hotel environment may take some getting used to for Europeans.

A nice and modern hotel to stay. The hotel is well located and the staff is very friendly. The only drawback is that there was only 1 cleaning in 7 days. So we had to ask for clean towels every day. Also, unfortunately, breakfast is not replenished, so sometimes there was nothing left 1 hour before the end of the breakfast.

Der check in war völlig ok, Zimmer sind zwar ganz neu eingerichtet, leider sind die Wände soooo...dünn ,dass wir Gespräche der Nachbarn sehr gut hören konnten. Zudem war die Sauberkeit nicht so wirklich gut, da ist noch viel Luft nach oben..zum beispiel die Fensterbank ziemlich staubig ,in der Nachtisch Schublade leider noch " Reste " von dem vorherigen Gast...in der Dusche leider schwarze Haare, ich habe graue und mein enkelsohn blonde Haare.das Frühstück war ok,aber leider nicht wirklich große Auswahl und so gut wie jeden Tag dasselbe...aber die Küchenfee war super freundlich und zuvorkommend...auch der Manager,ein sehr netter junger Mann...alles in allem Fotos sind leider nie wirklich aussagekräftig und ich muss auch nicht nochmal nach Istanbul, wollte einfach nochmal dorthin, da ich meine Kindheit dort so gut wie in den Ferien verbracht habe...also, für einen städtetrip,ohne Ansprüche völlig ok aber mehr definitiv nicht...

The staff is very nice, good communication in English, the room is clean, the air conditioning works, the doors should be repaired throughout the hotel, the noise of the broken doors is disturbing.

Clean room and bathroom. 5 minute walk from Metro station and close to Taksim Square. You have to get a code to enter hotel- make sure to write it down or put it into cellphone notes. Code received day before trip started. Not a very touristy street and it was quiet.

Nicht empfehlenswert! Das Hotel liegt in einer sehr abgelegenen Gegend mit stark verschmutzten Straßen, was schon bei der Anreise ein unangenehmes Gefühl vermittelt hat. Unser Zimmer war in einem untragbaren Zustand: die Dusche war in den Ecken verschmutzt, das Bett hatte Haare und Flecken, und weder der Boden noch die Ablagen wurden offenbar gereinigt. Das gesamte Zimmer machte einen ungepflegten Eindruck. Wir haben das Hotel nach einer Stunde wieder verlassen, da seitens des Personals keinerlei Entgegenkommen gezeigt wurde. Leider haben wir uns von den guten Bewertungen täuschen lassen. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen!

Great neighborhood for visiting all the Istanbul tourist sites. The breakfast at Mahya was phenomenal, the staff was helpful with planning activities, and the room was excellent.

Positive: - the location: stores, restaurants, shopping opportunities and public stations nearby. - the personal at the reception was very friendly and supportive Negative: - the cleaning staff was not cleaning at all. Even though we requested several times at the reception to clean the rooms (like wiping the floor, cleaning the bathroom etc.), they did not clean it at all. - bed linen were dirty ... even though they were just freshly exchanged. Improvements: - the cleaning staff should definitely improve their standards in cleaning rooms of long-staying guests (like for 1 week) - there is dust at the corners, on the closets. - the bathroom should be cleaned every day. at least this is done by other hotels. - the breakfast was okay, but a little boring. In total it was a nice stay for the price.

personal sehr nett. Hotel neu aber sehr schlampig gemacht: Fenster undicht (wir waren in beiden Zimmern). Dusche war kaputt. Aber drin, Interier siehr man, es ist neu. Es gibt kein Haken im Zimmer für Jacken aber für alles (wir hatten 2 Koffer Kinderwagen ) hat vollkommen gerecht. Klimaanlage war kaputt. Es hat seeehr geregnet in Istanbul aber wegen kaputten Klimaanlage war unsere nasse Kleidung trotzdem nass, wir wollten das Zimmer wsrm machen. Aber-die Better ind Matratzen waren sehr bequem und Bettwäsche war frisch.

The only problem was the sound proofing. I could hear the room across the corridor playing music and we both had our doors closed. Its a nice little hotel. Good breakfast. My room was very small. No chair in the room to sit. You could only watch tv in bed and 1/4 of the tv was hidden behind to wardrobe. There was no view from the window. All you could see was rubbish on the ground outside. What a shame. Lots of cheap shops snd eats around the hotel. Nearest metro Yenikapi. About a 10 min walk.

Good location close to metro and to the main attractions. Friendly staff. Rather small room. Despite the facet that the building outgone a renovation to give it a modern look, unfortunately the job was not done well. Top part of my door frame was missing. Doors were hard to close.

The hotel interior was nicely decorated. However, my room was facing the street and was remained quite loud until 11pm.

Hôtel extrêmement bruyant que ce soit avec la rue très commerçante et très passante jusqu'à tard dans la nuit ,l'absence totale d'insonorisation, vous pouvez aisément suivre la conversation de vos voisins de chambre malgré la barrière de la langue lol ! Les portes des chambres de votre étage claque jusqu'à tard dans la nuit même le personnel laisse les portes claquées à des heures tardives bref si vous voulez dormir paisiblement cela semble très compromis dans cet hôtel Pas de bouteille d'eau pas de thé pas de café pas de tasse dans la chambre(après demande à la réception nous avons eu trois tasses qui ont été retirés le lendemain par la femme de ménage...) Personnel à l'accueil professionnel et très aimable à contrario de la dame du petit déjeuner qui je pense devrait changer de métier.... Honnêtement ne vaut clairement pas son prix

The rooms were renovated and quite spacious. Hotel was close to public transportation, breakfast was quite sufficient. the staff was friendly. I will definitely stay again.

Maden var ikke så varieret og nabolaget var ikke det reneste. Hotellet var ellers fint, men der dog meget tynde vægge. Man kan høre alt, når folk kommer og går.

Das Hotel an sich ist wirklich nett! Leider hatten wir extrem laute Nachbarn, was in einem hellhörigen Hotel nicht schön ist. Das Personal ist sehr nett & hilfsbereit. Man sollte nicht all zu hohe Ansprüche haben, da auch das Frühstück sehr einfach gehalten ist. Für lediglich dort schlafen bei einem Städtetrip ausreichend:)

The reviews on this property is what attracted me to stay here. The staff went far and above in aiding our stay. There was a mix up that was immediately corrected. English as a second language can interfere in getting the correct information. The manager was quick to straighten out our misunderstanding. The highlights for me were the cleanliness, 24 hour desk help, great breakfast and attentive staff. I would highly recommend this property to my friends.

Great place to stay close to transport links. Amazing service by staff everything was perfect . Definitely highly recomended.

Staff and ownership here is top tier. Everything is brand new, complimentary breakfast every morning. Staff also is very helpful in guiding around the city/giving recommendations.

Great service by the managers and staff of the hotel. They were particularly helpful when I had payment challenges, and I really appreciated that. Breakfast was on time and consistent. Clean hotel, with all facilities functional. They also effectively organized my arrival and departure trips to and from the airport. Will surely look forward to staying there again.

room smelt of cigarettes you can barely breathe and receptionist was rude

The customer service and the receptionists where extremely patient with us and assisted us with what to explore in Istanbul and they had also let us use their personal phone to allow us to order food to the hotel the receptionists where Imam, Tariq and Amro. Would definitely recommend this hotel to tourists.

The hotel stay was very pleasant. The staff were lovely especially Ali and the lady who provided breakfast (our away from home Mama). We had 2 rooms with no issues. Staff couldn't do enough to accommodate any requests we had. All in all a lovely stay and would recommend.

Kleines Hotel mit sehr freundlichem und hilfsbereitem Personal. Sehr sauber! WLAN super. Ideal gelegen für die Stadtbesichtigungen, ca 300m den Berg hoch zur wichtigen Team Bahnlinie T1. WIR KOMMEN GERNE WIEDER

The Hotel is very modern with everythings you need, the service and the guys are amazing, it is quite close to Sultanahmet and to the Gran Bazar

Die Zimmer waren an sich sauber. Betten etwas klein. Die Umgebung des Hotels sollte vorher auf jeden Fall über Google Maps angeschaut werden. Abends auf der Straße sehr dreckig tagsüber sauber viele kleine Geschäfte 3 Minuten Fußweg ist ein kleiner Supermarkt. 35 Minuten Fußweg vom großen Basar.

Stayed there for 3 nights, SERVICE & ROOM: staff was very helping, they remained at beck and call during my stay. Rooms were bit smaller but very clean even then sufficient for two persons). Hot water and heating were working well. BREAKFAST: Fresh breakfast was available between 7am-10am. Menu includes Bread, Pancakes, Sausages, Boiled eggs, omelette, variety of cheese, butter, salads, olives, jam, honey, chocolate spread, Cereals, Coffee & Tea. AREA/LOCALITY: If someone is planning to explore Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Taksim it is a very good option at a good price. Tram, Metro and Airport Bus (Havaist Askaray Station) are at 15 minutes walk , So there is no need to book expensive cabs/taxis.

the property all good, the. area rubbish

J’aurais aimé mettre 0 étoile. A fuir absolument !!! quartier populaire pauvre, petits vendeurs de rue et des petits-enfants mendiants, la rue est tellement sale qu’on se croirait dans un bidonville. Il y a 30 minutes de marche (sur une pente énorme)des quartiers propres et touristiques, il n’y a aucun transport, même les taxis refusent de nous y emmener quand nous sommes fatigués et refusent de venir nous chercher. Ce quartier est un cauchemar !! tous les avis qui se trouvent sur Google sont faux, fabriqués par la direction de l’hôtel. Cela m’a été confirmé par le personnel. c’est ce qui nous a induit en erreur pour choisir cette hôtel. Le petit déjeuner est une catastrophe, il n’y a absolument rien, pas un seul fruit, pas de jus, des petits gâteaux pour les premiers servis. Les portes des chambres sont des portes d’intérieur, avec un vide en dessous on entend tout ce qui se passe dans les chambres d’à côté et bien sûr dans les couloirs. Deux jours avant notre départ, je me suis plainte de tout ça, ils nous ont changé de chambre pour nos deux dernières nuits, le frigidaire n’était même pas branché ( pas de prise à proximité) alors qu’il faisait 25°, j’ai demandé une rallonge pour pouvoir le brancher, ils en avaient pas ! J’ai dû déplacer moi-même le frigo pour pouvoir le brancher et mettre un peu d’eau au frais. Le jour du départ nous sommes partis à 7h du matin, nous n’avons eu droit à aucun petit déjeuner alors qu’il est payé. J’ai dû négocier avec le veilleur de nuit po

El hotel está bonito, las habitaciones son amplias y modernas, el personal es amable pero no hablan casi nada de inglés por lo que con algunos, la comunicación era difícil. La ubicación es la gran desventaja del hotel, está en una zona comercial, pero bastante sucia, congestionada y el servicio de transporte es limitado. Hay que caminar varias cuadras para tomar un taxi. En general, el hotel está bien, por dentro es bonito y cómodo pero seguro hay mejores opciones por el mismo precio en Estambul.

Net hotel, vriendelijk personeel. Prima kamer alleen zou een stoel erbij op de kamer, handig zijn. Het ontbijt is eenvoudig maar verder prima.

Tolle, zentral Unterkunft. Alles sehr neu und modern gemacht. Leider ist das Frühstück sehr begrenzt und ohne Abwechslung.
