Sixteen B

SixteenB is a fantastic little gem of a B&B in the heart of Dunnington, very close to York. It was a perfect little place to stay after attending a wedding at White Sykes Fields in nearby Sand Hutton. From the word go, we had fantastic communication from the owner, giving clear instructions about accessing the key, hearing etc. We needed to access the room a little earlier then check in and they were super accommodating to help us. The room itself was super clean with modern amenities. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. The room and en-suite was clearly well cared for. We visited the cafe underneath for breakfast (different business/owner) and had an excellent breakfast. Possibly going forward it might be a great idea for both businesses if they could team up to provide breakfast within the price. We definitely would stay again if we were in the area in future.

The hotel is located just outside of York in a small but beautiful village. Olga the Host was extremely attentive and helpful throughout our stay. We both feel relaxed staying there in a high-ceiling and very clean room. We went out for a weekend evening gig in the city centre and came back by a bus quite late at night without any hustle. I presume it will be perfectly suitable for business but I would rather use it for leisure purposes as everything was perfectly relaxing there!

Comfortable and quiet room only accommodation in the picturesque village of Dunnington. There is a lovely little cafe downstairs (separate business so not part of Sixteen B) and tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. Dunnington Pizza across the road is open late and delicious, plus the Cross Keys pub is down the street. Easy to get to York City centre too, roughly 10min drive. Room and bathroom was spotless and well decorated, and feels 'brand new'. If you're looking for somewhere to lay your head and a convenient base for sightseeing and relaxing, then this is great.

The host was very attentive, we were provided with lots of information about the local area and the room was spotless. Very cosy and perfect for our stay in York. Thanks again!
