The hotel is convenient, safe and very clean. The only problem I have is that it is not very friendly for people that struggle on stairs. No elevator and the hotel has a split level layout. The staff was nice and asked if we needed help getting our luggage up the stairs. Getting to the breakfast area was two flights of stairs.

Our sink didn’t drain. The tub was dirty, discolored and old. There was obvious and poorly repaired water damage on our ceiling. No kleenex. Key card machine didn’t work so we had no room keys for 24 hours

staff was very nice and friendly, place shows wear and tear but for the price was great. nice breakfast in the morning. the only bad thing I noticed was no elevator, but stairs are easy to locate. I would definitely use this place again.

It was very dirty! The house keeping obviously doesn’t clean the rooms. They switched me rooms and the 2nd one was even dirtier than the first one. I thought about sleeping in my car but it’s raining.

The room was dirty. The bathroom was covered in mold. The toilet had a crusty ring around the bowl. Tons of paint chips were falling all over me when showering. I spoke to the manager, who was picking paint chips out of my hair while speaking to me. I showed him the photos I took. He agreed that it was awful. I was assured that my money would be refunded. It was not. I had to find another hotel to shower.

This place is really run down. The bathtub has rust below the faucet snd what appears to be permanent mold or mildew around the edges of a no-slip strip in the tub. The bathroom sink’s faucet sprays wildly when you turn it on and makes a high-pitched whining sound, as if screaming out in a futile attempt to escape. The lamp shades were all crooked and wobbly, and one floor lamp was strategically placed to make it difficult to walk past it and into the room without bumping into it. The carpet was well-worn and the paint on the walls was old. That said, the beds were comfortable, and the place was clean. The staff was friendly, including the employee who checked us in while trying to deal with a guest demanding a refund due to allegedly non-functioning sink and shower. The employee was professional with us, and tried to help the guest, but apparently without success.

We were given a room that was so small that the door barely cleared the dresser. It had laminate floors vs carpet as shown in pictures. Every surface of the room was covered in an oily film and the room smelled strongly of a chemical disinfectant. There was debris and hair all over the room and the tub & mirror were filthy. We complained and were put in a “good” room which was still dirty and the ceiling was falling down from water damage. We requested a refund from Expedia and the front desk personnel was so rude even the Expedia rep said she had never encountered such a terrible person and if this was indicative of the property that we should immediately vacate. The rep said she would advise Expedia to remove this property as it was not befitting of Expedia’s requirements and responsibilities to its patrons.

We booked this hotel mainly bc of the availability of a recliner for me to sleep in due to life-long back injuries, the reasonable price and close proximity to the University of IA hospital, where I am being treated for cancer. The room was clean and comfortable, front desk staff were very friendly and gladly brought us an extra blanket when we asked (we usually bring our own). This location also offers a continental breakfast. The only draw back was that we could hear every noise in the hall and there appears to be some long-term guests there, whom were making all of the noise. Also, there's quite a gap under the door and no weather stripping around it, which allowed for cigarette smoke to seep into our room from someone smoking out in the hall.

The staff were complaining about guests who were unhappy because the lights in their rooms weren't working. They did this in front of me as I was checking in. Then, when I went into my room, I found most of the lights weren't working there either. The room smelled musty. The window unit AC was not consistent. It was a very uncomfortable night.

Well, I went to get checked in and there was a phone to call and no one answered so we had to look around the hotel and find the person that works at the front desk. The pillows and the bed is not comfortable at all and it just seemed gloomy and not updated.

Breakfast was out of some items, including juices, waffle mix, forks. King size mattress was absolutely lousy like it had been used for a trampoline with a hole in the middle of it , neither of us slept well, kept falling into the hole. Price was very good, but I guess you get what you pay for. I thought super eight would be a comfortable hotel, but not this one.

This place has a lot of good things but there were problems. The rooms were of good quality except the pet smell and the bathtub didn't drain while taking a shower. They have a good breakfast selection. The one upsetting thing is being double billed and they can't resolve it. It has been about a week. I called to resolve it. I thought it was but it wasn't. It's wasting my time to resolve and I'm unable to use my money.

The lady at reception was extremely rude, cussing people out. I have let a couple of my cotraveler healthcare workers to stay far away from this place. Fraudulent they will steal your information. I rebooked elsewhere

Unfortuantely, I had a terrible experience at this hotel, and I would not recommend booking a room here. I checked in and our room was exceptionally musty smelling, so I tried to go to a different room. It was extremely musty as well. With my asthma, I didnt feel it was healthy to stay there. I then went back to the hotel desk to ask for a different room, and no one was there. We waited for over 15 minutes, and there were over 10 people in line by the time they returned. After waiting 15 minutes, we no longer wanted to stay there. We asked for a refund, so we could go to a different hotel. They said that I would have to call the next day for a refund because there general manager wasnt there. I turned in my keys and went to a different hotel. The next day, I contacted the hotel, and they refused to give me a refund, because I didn't ask for one 24 hours before. The lady at the front desk made it seem we would receive a refund, so I was disappointed to learn they refused to give us our money back. I would not recommend this hotel.

This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. They staff NEVER cleaned my room or made the bed once during the six days I was there. I had to empty the trash and ask for fresh towels. I would have found a different place to stay, but everything was booked up because of the football game and it being dad's weekend. Pretty sure that's rat or mouse crap on the carpet in the picture. Oh, and to boot, the person at the front desk called me at 6 am Tuesday morning to yell at me that I needed to use a different credit card. I would like a refund, and if that is not forthcoming I can't trust Hotels.com in the future and will book with other vendors.

Staff was outstanding. The keycard equipment was not working and they couldn’t make keys for anyone, so they had staff at the ready to let everyone into their rooms at all hours. They were so apologetic, but there was nothing they could do about it, they did a great job solving the problem!

The day manager at the hotel was rude when my staff member asked about the possibility of an early check-in. They allowed the staff member to check in early for a fee, which the person was willing to pay. The manager threw the key at them. When they returned to their room at the end of their work assignment they left without staying as the room was filthy and not fit to stay in. The front desk person at the hotel was amazing and helped our staff member send an email asking for a refund of our rental fee as they chose not to stay in the dirty room.

First of all when we got there at 5:30 we kept on picking up the phone for the phone to ring for someone to get to the front desk. After 20 minutes of doing that someone walks in with McDonald’s and says can I help you? I’m sorry I was across the street getting my dinner. That night, our sink backed up we told them at 5 AM that we would be gone most of the day and to fix it. Nothing was ever done. The sink stayed full of nasty water. We use the tub for any water needed. That was usually cold. It’s like the hot water heater didn’t kick on till at least after midnight. Anytime we went down to the front desk nobody was there. It was beyond frustrating picking up that phone, and it just ringing and ringing and ringing we ended up leaving a day early so pissed off because no help whatsoever. Broken promises is all we got

Good value for this area and in a convenient location. Any issues with room were minor and easy to work around. Had to plug television into another outlet and bathroom door stuck a bit.

Easy, short commute to Kinnick Stadium. Front desk staff was accommodating and super friendly. Room, lobby, and breakfast area was clean. Great stay at an affordable price.

Location was excellent for an Iowa football game. Check in staff were nice. Unfortunately there was an odor in the hall and a dehumidifier running. The breakfast was a waffle iron but they had only said a continental breakfast so I didn't expect much. The bathroom was clean but out of tissues. The dust behind the bed and couch was noticeable. This place worked out on a busy weekend.

This place has a lot of good things but there were problems. The rooms were of good quality except the pet smell and the bathtub didn't drain while taking a shower. They have a good breakfast selection. The one upsetting thing is being double billed and they can't resolve it. It has been about a week. I called to resolve it. I thought it was but it wasn't. It's wasting my time to resolve and I'm unable to use my money.

Super 8 was a good place to stay. Other then the consent walk in to a brick wall of weed smell everyday. Also I loved the breakfast. N the beds were okay ish soft but the one thing that we didn't realize is that the ac/heat is in one unit the ac is the heat also lol. We felt so stupid never heard of a ac doing that so the first night was roof and cold but overall it was good.

We checked in and the first thing I noticed was that the remote control wouldn't work with the TV. It would turn it on and off but nothing else. So I went to the front desk and asked the night person if I could get new batteries or another remote. First she told me to throw a switch by the bathroom and I knew that had nothing to do with the remote then she told me to turn on power and then hit input. This again made no sense because nothing on the remote was working. But I tried it any way. No luck. Since she didn't really seem to care about the issue we watched videos on our phone and that was it. I doubt I would stay here again.

Upon arrival, I first went into the bathroom and found a hair on the sink, one on the toilet seat, one on the shower wall, and one at the bottom of the tub. The room smelled like chemicals and gave me such a bad headache that I had a hard time falling asleep. I notified the staff and they were really helpful. I left the room to grab some dinner while they re-cleaned the room. All I wanted was to take a bath but didn't do that because the tub was rusted and after finding all the random hairs in the bathroom there was no way I was taking a bath in that bathroom. Overall, the staff was friendly but the room was dirty and my refrigerator didn't even work. I would not recommend staying at this property at all.

The entire hotel smells like stale cigarettes and weed. We booked last minute so we ended up in a smoking room, which I typically wouldn't mind but they apparently didn't clean ANYTHING because there were cigarette ashes IN THE SHEETS, on the chair and stuck in the AC unit. Every wall had nicotine drips down them. Apparently safety isn't a thing because every outlet looked burnt and like a fire hazard. The hair dryer was broken, like cracked with a chunk taken out, like how does that happen? Both the sink and tub faucet were leaking and the toilet wouldn't stop running. The toilet seat wasnt even the right shape, the toilet was oval and the toilet was round. The wash clothes had holes in them. Oh, and don't expect a full size pillow, all the pillows are half sized. And the TV remote didn't work and looked like a different brand than the TV.
