Older building but everything was clean. Front desk staff were very kind and checkin was quick. Just off the interstate and near fuel and food. Plenty of parking for truck and trailer. Will definitely stay here again on my way back home.

It would have been nice to know the pool was closed for maintenance before we got there. It was one of the reasons we chose the place to stay. We were very disappointed in that.

I feel the pictures are not accurate online, the pool was closed and that was extremely disappointing as it was not clearly stated anywhere noticeable that I would have seen without searching for it. They gave us a room with a window to the dark empty pool. Not a fan, will not stay here again.

Nice room. Great breakfast area. Gym was poorly maintained with broken machine, no water and no towels. Front desk staff were great and let me leave my motorcycle out front. Would stay there again

Changed my room when I got there for some reason. There are no elevators and the hot tub has been covered up and is not in use anymore. Otherwise breakfast was good and room was OK.

As of aug 24 2024 - The rooms are very dated but they were clean. There was black mold in the shower but everything was well cleaned. Breakfast was great and the service amazing. I wouldn’t stay there again but I’m glad it was available when we needed it. It had a huge pool and pool area and it was well decorated with tables, chars and couches.

We stayed here for the College World Series not knowing anything about the area. This is an older hotel behind a truck stop. There were 18 wheelers parked in the back parking lot of the hotel and some sketchy things we’re definitely going on. I did not feel safe going in and out at night. Our AC in our room would not cool. There was dried blood splatter on the bathroom wall, pubic hairs in the tub, and holes in the blankets, among other things. The hallway smelled strongly of bleach from the indoor pool along with sewage. We asked for our room to be swapped and they changed it without hesitation. The staff was amazing and very friendly. I’m not trying to complain about free breakfast, but if that’s your thing, I’d just skip it. Overall, the hotel needs major renovations but even if those happen, it’s just in a terrible, seemingly unsafe area. I would not recommend this hotel/area.

Rooms were spacious and quiet. The rooms, beds, sheets, and bathrooms were clean. The hallways were a bit dirty and needed vacuumed. Overall as a last resort due to limited vacancy in Omaha, it was ok for the one night we stayed.

Overall our stay was excellent. The price and the location were great. We come to Omaha every June for a 3-day stay, and this hotel in Council Bluff, Iowa was a great option. Located just off I-80, it was a short drive to everything. The hotel was very clean and in good condition. The two-story hotel has a nice entryway lounge with multi-levels, Tvs, and seating also used for their full Continental breakfast. Breakfast has hot (scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, tater tots, biscuits and gravy, waffles, toast, instant oatmeal) and cold (cereal, bread, pastries, boxed doughnuts, fresh fruit, yougurt with lots of toppings, juice and coffee) options which were a very good. There is a very large indoor pool area and pool, plus a small workout room. Our room was very clean and spacious, and the King bed was very comfortable. The only two issues which might be an issue for some is: 1) there is no elevator, and 2) not all areas of the hotel are air conditioned. The stairwells are pretty warm and the hallways are a little stuffy. However, the room was pleasantly cool. Lastly, the pool area is very warm, almost like a sauna. If youre actually in the pool, its probably not a problem. We will definitely stay here again.

Don't take your shoes off. The whole room was filthy & my feet stuck to the laminate floor. The staff was annoyed my huband wanted to read what he signed. We stayed in a room right by the side entrance and the noise was very loud from the door slamming every 20-30mintes from people coming & going. The sheets had grease smears on the side we didn't see until morning when the covers were pulled farther back. The bedside table drawer handle was broken and hanging on one side. There was a hole in the fabric of the arm chair. Dirt smudges on the shower curtain. This room was nothing like the pictures. If that wasn't enough the semis ran all night in the next parking lot and kept us awake between the door slamming all night. I can't explain how loud this was, I startled awake so many times. We couldn't wait to get out of here. Maybe the other side of the hotel is better, but for us, Never again.

The fact that this hotel did not have an elevator would affect my decision on whether to stay in the future. Tv in room didnt work. Overall the hotel was nice but a bit dated. Breakfast was very nice.

Rm146: had ZERO heat in Mid November 2023! And there was quite a cold draft coming in from UNDER the heating unit!! To top it off? Summer blanket. Great shower! Very nice, expansive well lit place-didn’t stick around for breakfast, though!!

The room was fine but at check in the desk attendent told us the pet fee is **$80** PER PET. We paid $100 as the base room rate and they wanted an $80 pet fee! That's the highest I've ever heard of in 4 years of traveling all over the US and Canada with my 7 lb dog. My husband expressed his disbelief at the desk and from what I can see on our credit card statement it appears the employee only ended up processing a $20 pet fee. I appreciate that the fee was apparently negotiable, but it certainly felt like we were being ripped off.

We booked the room with two queen beds for 3 adults online through hotels.com. After 11h of driving we got to the hotel at 1am, got the the key and were ready to crash. Can you imagine our shock when we found that the room had only one bed! They sold our 2 bed room and gave us 1 bed without any notification! The next 1.5 hours we spent talking to the staff, waiting for them to talk to a manager, then us talking to the manager. At the end they said they were sold out 2 bed rooms and are not going to give us any discount on our one bed. They did offer us rollaway bed with no charge! It was a generous offer from the manager after an hour of arguing in the middle of night. Worst service ever!!!
We booked the room with two queen beds for 3 adults online through hotels.com. After 11h of driving we got to the hotel at 1am, got the the key and were ready to crash. Can you imagine our shock when we found that the room had only one bed! They sold our 2 bed room and gave us 1 bed without any notification! The next 1.5 hours we spent talking to the staff, waiting for them to talk to a manager, then us talking to the manager. At the end they said they were sold out 2 bed rooms and are not going to give us any discount on our one bed. They did offer us rollaway bed with no charge! It was a generous offer from the manager after an hour of arguing in the middle of night. Worst service ever!!!

We going need bugs in our room while sleeping, the staff did nothing other than switch out rooms. After requesting a refund I was told the manager was on vacation for two weeks and refused to give me a refund for the room.

I was totally impressed with our stay at Best Western Crossroads of the Bluffs in Council Bluffs IA. First, we were early to check in, 12:30 p.m., we had a wedding to attend that would extend later into the night, so we just wanted to let the front desk staff know that we were here, we don't expect to get our room already. Could we just get our room key cards so that we could come back much later. The front desk employee told us she would check on our room, give her 10 minutes. She came back and said it was OK to check in and go to our room so that we could get dressed for the wedding. She went the extra mile to make sure we were happy! While the front desk person did this, we went and checked out the breakfast area. Very nice breakfast area and we were greeted by Ophelia, the breakfast employee who was still there. I told her what we were doing and she offered us coffee or something else to drink. She was very pleasant, smiley and helpful. The next morning, Ophelia saw me coming down to breakfast and remembered me. She greeted me warmly. She was so kind and helpful. You have the best employees! The room was very clean, the stay was comfortable. I would recommend this Best Western to anyone. We also stay at the Greentree Best Western in Moore, OK 2 times a year. They are the best also. Again, I'm very impressed with Best Western.

Great location of property, it's close to gas stations & attractions & easy to navigate to/from. HUGE parking lot, felt safe. Staff very friendly & helpful & kind. Beds nice & firm & comfy. Only wish the bathroom counter was a little bigger or wish they had a larger table in room for all your stuff.

The Hotel itself was great. The staff was nice. The rooms were excellent. Beds comfortable. My wife and I wanted a weekend get away and decided to go to Council Bluff. As we like going to casino's it was the perfect location.

Overall our stay was excellent. The price and the location were great. We come to Omaha every June for a 3-day stay, and this hotel in Council Bluff, Iowa was a great option. Located just off I-80, it was a short drive to everything. The hotel was very clean and in good condition. The two-story hotel has a nice entryway lounge with multi-levels, Tvs, and seating also used for their full Continental breakfast. Breakfast has hot (scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, tater tots, biscuits and gravy, waffles, toast, instant oatmeal) and cold (cereal, bread, pastries, boxed doughnuts, fresh fruit, yougurt with lots of toppings, juice and coffee) options which were a very good. There is a very large indoor pool area and pool, plus a small workout room. Our room was very clean and spacious, and the King bed was very comfortable. The only two issues which might be an issue for some is: 1) there is no elevator, and 2) not all areas of the hotel are air conditioned. The stairwells are pretty warm and the hallways are a little stuffy. However, the room was pleasantly cool. Lastly, the pool area is very warm, almost like a sauna. If youre actually in the pool, its probably not a problem. We will definitely stay here again.

Good hot breakfast with a lot of choices. Not just prepackaged food. Room was clean. No bad smells. Staff friendly. I would stay again even though the area was a little low rent. I did not feel unsafe and i could see my vehicle right out my room window.

Wow! One of the biggest pools and biggest breakfasts at a motel. Great parking and more out back for RVs and trucks. Fridge and microwave. Lobby was huge and had nice couches❤️

Your breakfast left a lot to be desired. The food was hard and cold and runny - Biscuits and gravy - The tater tots were like hockey pucks. Seriously, figure it out. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. The floor in our room was just weird and sticky. The room smelled horribly of disinfectant.

We have stayed at a lot of motels but have never had such a good breakfast. The hostess present kept everything so clean and updated.

The area the hotel was in was a little "eh", but the hotel itself was nice. I appreciated the fitness center, which was clean and had a nice elliptical machine. The staff was nice...I very much appreciated the kindness of the woman working the breakfast area! Oh, and I'm always grateful when staff is kind enough to put me by an exit, which makes things easier with my dog.

This was a comfortable hotel that had many extras and was a good value for the price. You can tell it is dated, but everything was in good working order. The pool area was really amazing and they also had an outside area with tables that you could sit and enjoy the evening. I thought the bed was comfortable and the staff was helpful. I would definitely stay again.

1) There was a spot on the floor between the wall and the bed that was clearly a spill that had been there for years and never cleaned up (along with dirt). I took my shoes and socks off to relax for the evening and had pieces of plastic and dirt stuck to my feet. 2) The smoke detector had been removed from the room wall and there was no visible sprinkler system. 3) The courtyard needs a landscape service. Weeds grown up and hideous. 4) Pool was freezing and pool room was a sweat lodge. 5) Lastly but very important, eggs were bland, sausage patties not heated thoroughly and tater tots heated 100 times too many. The cream cheese, jellies and butters should be placed near the bagels, breads and muffins display. Not near the waffles, as there were already toppings for those. It was hard for multiple people to find. 6) There was a little dog barking early in the morning that was very annoying.
