MainStay Suites Dubuque at Hwy 20

Unfortunately I experienced some substantial bug bites while staying at this hotel. Management has shared with me that the entire 3rd floor will be receiving treatment for bugs. When I returned home the bites continued and my significant other also then experienced them. It was a most unfortunate experience and management did what they could to make it right (that is the good news). I have stayed at the MainStay Hotel and Suites near St. Louis MO and that experience was wonderful.

My room was clean, but certainly could use updating (paint chipping on the kitchette cupboards and cabinets). The utensils (forks, spoons, knives, etc) were limited. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was adequate ... nice selection of hot foods and pastries.

Manager called me by name. Check in was fast and easy.

Everything was great except door security. Locked out twice on 1 night stay. Had to switch rooms on one of them. Management took care of it relatively quickly.
