Grand Harbor Resort

Having called the hotel earlier in the week and told that the water park opened at 9am, I was stunned to to be told that we could not swim until 2 pm. Very disappointing. Not enough seating in the water park area. Snack bar closed from 4:30-6:00. Several 2 player games in the arcade were broken, took the money, no sign, no refund. Sad. Breakfast- limited options. Eggs and sausage were cold. Bread for the toast was dry. Line for food for was at times 15+ minutes. Elevators are not big enough or enough in quantity to handle the number of guests.

The hotel needs some updating, especially the waterpark. At least a new coat of paint. Beds were comfortable and seemed clean. Our toilet was not clean and old food from a previous guest was in our room fridge.

The elevator service was below standard. For the size of this hotel. there needs to be additional elevators installed. At breakfast time and again at check-out, there were long waits with large crowds on every floor.

Pool staff were nice. Suggest that check in let people know to bring an ID to the pool if they’d like to get alcoholic drinks. Pool area structures are rusty and look dilapidated.

Nice environment for little kids. Expect crowds in the water park in the afternoon as the hotels sells day passes to the public. Plan on 9am to 1pm for the most freedom. In the water. Hotel and water park is dated and could use some dressing up. Breakfast eating area is small for all the family traffic it sees in the morning. Very limited seating.

The waterpark needs severe updating, the concrete in pools and hot tubs are in dire need of maintenance.

We were very disappointed that the pool and hot tub were not available for our night of stay, which when booking were advertised. Also the restaurant and bar was closed which was advertised. Tough to give a good review

Check in and facilities were great. Huge arcade and the water park was a blast. Part of the water park was closed and there was obvious wear and tear, but good shape. Only room complaint would be TVs could use an upgrade so they can utilize streaming.

Way too many people for 2 elevators. Very, very long line for breakfast which was included. The pool was nice but I believe people from the outside are allowed in if they pay. Makes it difficult for patrons who paid to stay and play.

The rooms are basic, outdated and our carpet was stained. The Waterpark was so rusty and run down it should be condemned.

This property (other than the lobby and breakfast area) is so outdated, it’s embarrassing. The hallways and guest rooms are terrible; carpet gross, walls super dirty, zero upgrades in them. For this being a resort on the river there is a lot of opportunity being missed.

The carpets in the halls were pretty grungy. In our bathroom the wallpaper was peeling near the ceiling. The shower curtain rod had been replaced a couple times and there were several holes where the old hardware had been. The paint in the room had been touched up and was a near match we could definitely spot the touch ups. The vent in the bathroom was really dirty. However,.. front desk staff and housekeeping staff were absolutely great! Smiles and kindness were abundant and we would stay again! Regardless of the cosmetic deficiencies!

Room was dirty. Napkins behind the nightstand.

Broken shower, safety latch completely broken off, door lock only turns halfway, tiny tv, walls dirty, furniture dirty, shower had black mold in corners

The rooms are outdated and are not thoroughly cleaned.

On many towels in the bathroom there were hairs on them that we had not used. This should be checked before hanging up for guests

Check out times need to be staggered, because there are too many people using elevators and front desk all at the same time. Shower was alright, but leaked from the faucet pretty decently. Room walls needed to be cleaned really well. Splatters on the walls.

Ok first the water park…. Part of it is closed which was the big pool and hot tubs. All closed!in the hotel room after showering we could not get the shower to turn off. Maintenance came up and took him an hour to fix it. Also realized after shower that our feet were black from walking on the carpet. It was so dirty in gross we didn’t walk barefoot the rest of the time. So gross!!!

When getting to our room we had noticed that the room was not cleaned. I don’t mean some dust on the furniture.. which def was pretty bad and the computer chair was very stained… but there was a large pile of crumbs on the nightstand and what looked like dried juice that was very sticky. The comforter on one of the beds had brown stains all over it, and there was long black hairs under the covers on the sheets. There was also someone else’s mail in the garbage in the garbage can so we knew the garbages weren’t emptied. Mind you we had 2 small kids and the hotel was “fully booked”. We went to the water park and after a while we went to the concession stands and there was a sign that stated “back in 30 minutes to restock”. A man standing there claimed he was there for about 25 mins waiting and we stood with a line of people for another 25 mins. We finally had to give up and leave as our kids were hungry and getting very impatient and we never saw anyone inside restocking at any point of us waiting. The front desk worker was so rude to my husband about the dirty room. She stated since we booked through hotels.com there was nothing that they could do and that was our problem. She actually said “your room is dirty, we get it” and offered a new room after she just told us there were no other rooms available and we were suppose to pack our kids and stuff back up and move. He ended up walking away because he couldn’t deal with her attitude and I cleaned the room myself. Dont go here.

The room was a little dated for the price.

Bathroom fan didn’t work. Clean but needs an update. A recliner or chair would have been nice!

Great room with a lovely view!

The room was less than expected for the price. The room was small there were only two plug in’s that were accessible and the tv and lamps took up the plug ins so phone charging overnight was a challenge. There was carpet lifted and pulled back in one corner. The shower head was broken/leaking terribly. The water was hot tho. The room was small for the price. The waterpark itself was decent but small for the price again. The lazy river is extremely small and has little “current”/very slow moving. The water temp in the kids area was freezing but they could get in the hot tub here to warm up definitely a perk as most places do not allow kids in the hot tub. They do have an arcade and kids craft area which was a nice addition. The front desk staff was nice and helpful altho very chatty umungst themselves and they had a staff no call no show for the night which we shouldn’t have heard all about. Overall it wasn’t bad. I however will not book here again. Room 329

We got a room (601) with a great view of the Mississippi River. We departed prior to breakfast. In the past we have enjoyed their breakfast and the area it is served in. Adjoining restaurant may benefit from some upgrades. Food was good as was our service. We were a bit bummed that there is no longer a shuttle service between the two casinos. Q casino is undergoing major renovations and was disappointing.

Check-in was quick & easy and the front desk clerk was very friendly. The room was clean enough but the desk chair & sofa were both heavily stained. The bed was very comfortable and I slept great when I wasn’t being woke up by the incredibly loud air conditioner, people talking as they walked by or the guy coughing in the attached room. Couldn’t quite figure out why there were so many people staying in one block of rooms when the parking lot was nearly empty. Thought about spending some time in the arcade but it was so hot & stuffy in there that we were sweating within 3 minutes and we didn’t even play anything. Cannot comment on the continental breakfast or the waterpark as we did not choose to make use of these amenities. We would definitely not stay here again.

We liked the access to the downtown and the outside was attractive. Unfortunately, the walls were paper thin and it was noisy all night. We had to address our neighbors at 3:30 am because of the loud talking, playing and tv. There were at least four kids that I saw in the room, and two "adults" who didn't have any concept of hotel etiquette. The surfaces in the room were clean, but not the look (yellowing, peeling wallpaper, and mold in the washroom; with a drippy sink and shower). We stayed here two years ago and liked it, but we both felt that it had gone significantly downhill from our previous stay. Sadly (because we like the location), we will not be back.

The hotel was nice, in a good location. The only thing I didnt like was the ved was to hard.

We had a beautiful corner room with a great view. Hotel needs some updates. Our room smelled of stale cigarette smoke and some furniture was chipped and marred. The bed was clean and quite comfortable

Overpriced and small and loud staff unfriendly

We stay here so we can walk to the casino. The staff is super friendly.

Staff made accusations and called police for no reason. We were laying in bed watching TV. We will never be back.

Property was great , just had a little inconvenience with noisy people next door and staff members taking over an hour to take care of the problem in the middle of the night and still lying about them fixing it

The staff were friendly and quickly accommodating when we asked for a couple extra blankets. They were cheerful and friendly at check-in and checkout even though they were working through the holiday, and the free breakfast buffet was tasty.

At check-in the staff was not hospitable at all. They were very mechanical and failed to provide the waterpark access bands. The rep also charged my card twice for the $50 incidentals deposit. The breakfast area needs more seating for larger families.

Bed was not comfortable at all. We arrived late after a long day of travel and got "scolded" by front desk for not calling to let them know we were going to be late. Older lady, not friendly. She acted like we were lucky we still had a room.

This place is a run down dump. Rooms are outdated. AC doesn’t work. Had to move rooms twice before we got one that worked. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I feel bad for them having to try to make up for such a terrible facility.

Stayed there for a trade show at the convention center next door. Perfect location. Free breakfast. Restaurant and bar on site. Skyway from hotel to the convention center. Comfortable rooms. Couldn’t ask for more.

We choose this hotel for its location on the river walk and its convenience. Friendly staff and reasonable rates are another reason.

Close to the river. I liked the walking area. I wish it was longer for my run and walk, but it's lovely and well maintained. It would be a great place to bring our grandchildren!

It's a pretty basic hotel, but that's all we were looking for. The breakfast was really good! I loved that the riverwalk was right behind the hotel.

Everything all in one place; the water park, the restaurant, the hotel...and close to good coffee shops and the cable car.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of food served at the continental breakfast.

It was close to the casino. The continental breakfast was the best I’ve had in a long time.

Room fixtures were below average. The desk chair was very low grade (metal frame with a cloth seat, non-adjustable) and I was there for work in the area (not entertainment), so that mattered to me. Tony Roma's service was very poor as numerous employees completely ignored me while they walked by and/or clearly saw me standing at the host/hostess counter for what seemed like well over 10-15 minutes. Their customer service was simply bad--really bad. I wouldn't say my stay was a horrible experience, but it was definitely disappointing. Sorry, I'm just providing an honest assessment from my perspective.

We checked in at 7 pm hungry and asked what time the restaurant closed, was tilf 8 ..came back down at 715 asked how to get there the guy standing beside the lady said actually it is closing at 715 so they can be done by 8.

Very convenient location with a nice water park! Facility had a restaurant onsite that was nice. Morning continental breakfast terrible, but they’re rarely good at any hotel. Parking lot was right next to hotel with lots of space. Hotel was a little outdated, but still very clean.

Was not worth the money. No toilet paper in room, blow dryer did not work, concession stand at pool was to open at 4...did not open until 6pm! I expected better

The staff was very nice! Tony Roma’s was not as nice, they refused to seat us because we had kids and the meal deal for them and told us take out only and to use the community area around the corner to eat even though we were ordering food on top of the family meal deal. They then took forever and ignored us when we were right at the counter. The grand water park was fun and the hotel was clean with lots of activities. The breakfast wasn’t kid friendly
