Comfort Inn Meridian - Bonita Lakes

A very nice visit. Elevator was down but clerk advised us before we checked in she advised us. She was able to get us on second.

The property was near a lot of restaurants. The parking area was not well lit and it was like a party going on outside with loud talking and drinking. The carpet smelled in the common area. The receptionist appeared tired and just "over it" I would have not stayed if I could have gotten a refund.

Not very clean. Pool was down. Staff was great.

I could not find a parking spot

Elevator button was broken

I really hate it when i book a hotel for the pool an then not available to use it

Staff was exceptional . The only problem I had was the laundry room out of order . Only had one washer and dryer for the whole building. Other than that I had a wonderful stay .

The place wasn’t bad it just wasn’t top tier. Folks were professional and polite. The lobby, pool area, and room were clean. However, you can tell this place is past due for some updates and remodels. Parts of the ceiling were hanging down and tiles were busted in the bathroom floor. The breakfast area is small and can get rather packed. A good variety of food items to choose from and everything was to temp and cooked well. Everything was set up and organized well also. Overall, this was a great spot for a night of rest along our trip.

The wet carpet smell in the room was awful. Everything was damp from the humidity, too.

Just poor building maintenance. Walls bubbling and peeling. The bed was sagging in the middle. The room was very musty the whole time. However things were clean. Just an old building that needs some major TLC and definitely some new mattresses and updates bathroom. The night staff wasn't overly friendly, but the morning staff was great.

I would not stay here again. The room smelled like a musty basement. I asked for a different room and was told "they all smell that way". It was horrible. I would have left but I prepaid for the room. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The condition of the room was unacceptable and far below the standards advertised. The lamp, electrical plugs, walls, and even the toilet paper holder were nearly covered in rust, which was extremely off-putting. Additionally, the room had a strong, unpleasant odor that made the stay uncomfortable. This experience does not reflect the ranking and description presented online.

The king suit I booked had water damage, there were parts of the ceiling falling on the floor. Mold growing on the ceiling, doors falling off the cabinets, the fire alarms had the battery tray open with no batteries. The moldy smell was unbearable. We booked though hotels so could not get refunded. Was offered room on the 3rd floor 2 queen beds for same cost. The hotel needs a remodel bad! Definitely not what you would expect from a choice hotel. The only pleasant thing was the lady that checked us into the hotel. Note I had my 6 month old and 2 year old with me.

The room smelled horribly of mildew, there was no blankets, no hairdryer, 2 towels, and no trash can. Everything felt wet like there was humidity in the air. I would not recommend. The check in was fast though!

The 1st floor has a high moisture/ mildew smell and mold in the rooms. Poor maintenance- we won’t be back!

This place was way below what I expected based on the 8.4 rating. The room was much smaller than the pictures indicate and very dated. There were several holes in the wall. Breakfast was ok, but very cramped area. Staff was pretty friendly, but overall, not a place I would recommend or visit again.

Rooms were large and beds were comfortable bathrooms were clean and updated and the rooms were cleaner than I expected since they had carpet in most of would stay here again

The staff was lazy and rude and could not be bothered to be helpful and make hateful comments about guest! the tv in our dirty room didn't work and we were told there was nothing that could be done the room was not clean it was nasty and the so-called staff at the front desk were extremely rude and nasty to guest and made hateful and rude comments about several guest out in the open for everyone to hear! we heard the comments "we don't get paid enough for this sh**" a few times! Comfort Inn Meridian - Bonita Lakes should be extremely ashamed you are giving Comfort Inn a horrible name! we will not ever return

We were greeted by a very nice staff person, Diane, when we arrived. Our room was as requested, quiet and away from the elevators. The property manager, Felicia, was also very nice when I met her the next morning. The room was clean and comfortable.

Breakfast staff was not overly welcoming or friendly, although the available food was decent. The cleaning staff stopped by our room in the morning (with the Do Not Disturb sign out) while we were there so we told them we’d be departing in 20 minutes … they never came back to clean our room.

The hotel was all right, served it's purpose. The bed was comfortable although the room had a smell, like old. The only thing that was annoying was the check-in. I arrived and there were 2 ladies at the front desk and one of them had juat finished talking to a customer over the phone about holding a room. Well they proceeded to talk about her between them in front of me. How they were not holding the room for her all upset. All while I'm standing there waiting to check-in. Not professional at all.

THE STAFF!! ESPECIALLY THE LADIES WHO CHECKED ME IN!! ABOVE AND BEYOND!! SO NICE && HONEST!! THE MANAGER LADY AND THE FRONT DESK LADY WITH THE LONG BRAIDs!! THEY ALRIGHT WITH ME!! LOVED THM! && WILL DEFINITELY STAY AGAIN WITH THT STAFF! OH CANT FORGET THE HOUSEKEEPERs!! ALL SO NICE && HELPFUL! WE WAS THERE FOR AN FAMILY REUNION && MY WHOLE FAMILY WAS TREATED GOOD!! THANK U ALL!! (SORRY I FORGOT UR NAMEs)

Hotel rooms are a bit outdated and worn. But they are ok for the most part. Breakfast was very good and had lots of items to choose from. The staff is very nice and friendly and very helpful. The night clerk who checked us in was very nice and went out of her way to help us get items we needed for the room.

The only positive was the room was clean. The area directly outside the room overlooked the lobby/front desk and I was two doors from the stairs and elevator. I felt it would not be a peaceful night. Despite the hotel pledge to make things right-printed on the key wallet they hand you-my request to move to another room was denied. When I asked for help getting a stuck shade closed, the desk clerk said she was the only employee there but finally came to help. My concern of noise proved valid. I could hear the ringing of the desk phone well into the night, even being awakened by it multiple times. People stomped up and down the stairs at all hours, and there was yelling in the hallway until after 2 a.m. The slamming of doors and noises in the hallway started up again at 6:20 so I got little sleep. There was no thermostat in the room, just the old-time system under the window. I turned the heat on and got a burning smell so turned it right back off. It remained cold in the room as the outside temp was 40 by morning. When I got ready for my morning shower I let the water run for 5 minutes yet it never warmed beyond tepid so I took a less than comfortable shower. When I checked out I told the desk attendant about the problems with the noise, heater, and lack of hot water. She told me the hotel was full, but gave not even an apology for the lack of basic comforts I expected in a hotel room. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.

Most of the “hot” food was cold for breakfast, and the staff was not very helpful or friendly with trying to park out U-Haul. The area Around the hotel had many homeless people wondering around at 10:00 PM. I would not recommend this hotel.

Was a great place for our one night stay. Our room was remodeled. Breakfast was good and nice variety. Felt safe. Several places close by for eating.

Both juices were not right.? One third of the cereal was Raisin Bran. No fruit they don’t put water in the lobby on weekends???

They picked towles after the 1st night but we had to ask at 10 p.m. for the night desk person to replace and the ones she gave us were very thin. Door lock was very difficult to lock and unlock. Electronic key did not work on entrance door and needed to wait for front desk to come. Breakfast waffles were good, sausage patties were fatty.

This is an older facility, but adequate. The breakfast was a buffet with many choices.
