Best Western Plus Bloomington East

I set up a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. My flight was delayed 30 mins and the girl driving the shuttle talked to me as soon as the flight landed , i called her again when u got to baggage claim and she then told me she had to leave to go do something else and would be back in 20 mins , I said wait bc she had no other people she was transporting and she hung up on me. She didn’t come back for 56 mins and it was 92 degrees outside. I. asked the hotel and the girl working said all i can tell you is get an uber or taxi if you don’t wanna wait and then hung up on me also

BW Plus should be renamed BW Minus. What an overpriced joke. When you pull up, the hotel looks good. The exterior is maintained and it's a more modern feel than other hotels. The lobby is decent and the staff were all friendly and check-in was fast. I used the free EV charger, so that's a posiitive. (There are 2). At night, the elevator (there are a total of 2) was very slow, even to the 2nd floor. The room is underwhelming. While it's newly redecorated, but it's got a good amount of wear and tear. The LVP in the bathroom is worn, chipped and pitted and stained. The toilet is RV sized, it would be good in an elementary school, but not sized for adults. The corner sink is small, but usable. The shower is fine, decent water pressure. We had 1 washcloth, 1 floor towel and 3 towels. Odd. Breakfast, for a $320 a night rate, was less than expected. There was only a coffee 'machine', no coffee dispensers when you don't want to wait for the machine. The machine only makes espressor or coffee, so why have it? There is 1 waffle machine, they need 3. There was biscuits, gravy, oatmeal, watery eggs and weird bacon. The pastries (the ones kept in the clear case) were pretty lousy, not much to pick from. After breakfast, I was treated to both elevators being out of order. This was college graduation weekend, so there were only about 500 people trying to check out and had to lug their stuff down the stairs. Ridiculous. Oh, and I walked the entire first floor and there are no stairwells

Close to family convenience. Close to dining and shopping. Spacious rooms, open breakfast area, decent coffee. Third floor room away from lower activities. Outdoor pool area disgusting. Late nighters entering noisily with loud talking. Microwave would have been useful.

Nice motel with 2 free EV chargers!

We got there and the pool was green and I was the only one who reported it to the front desk. Logan at the front desk was "on it". It was cleared up by the next day. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast each morning. I would stay there again but doubt I'll ever be out that way.

Only one elevator worked, and the other one was very slow and seemed to need some maintenance too. The cleaning ppl cleaned rooms but garbage that a customer left in the hallway wasn't picked up by staff.

Friendly staff, clean room, room to park a large van easily, free breakfast buffet and good beds! Nice pool, too!

When we arrived we found out that the elevator was out of service. The attendant at the counter explained the situation and was extremely apologetic. I appreciated the way the situation was handled and she was quite kind. Job well done.

Our Tv did not work the whole 2nd and 3rd day. The front desk did not offer to help. I slipped and fell in the pool because the ladder was very slick and did not have tread on the steps for grip. Hit my shin and because very swollen and painful. The front desk person offered a band aide, it was not bleeding, just very swollen.

Clean hotel within Minutes from the Bloomington Regional airport. Free shuttle from hotel was great.

Its a shame that Best Western cannot stick by their brand and make improvements to this location. The staff was EXCELLENT. However, the property needs vast improvements. Floor everywhere are stained and dirty. We had to take lid of toilet tank to get it to quit running. Bathroom door squeaky..badly. Wallpaper peeling. Around tub faucets and sink rim was mold. Breakfast was good. Beds good. Again great staff too.

My shower curtain was covered in mold. Asked for it to be replacrd while we were gone for the day. It was not. Asked for it again when I got back. I was handed a new curtain and had to ask for them to wait for me to remove the molded one to take with them.

The hotel has been renovated and is nice but they are not keeping it up. It was very dirty (especially the floors) and the hotel, even though non smoking, smelled like cigarettes and MJ. The beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly. The free breakfast was basic. The man taking care of the buffet was constantly cleaning and restocking - he really took a lot of pride in his work. We stayed for just 1 night and it was fine. C

The shower was dirty when we arrived. The hallways were dirty. Room is much smaller than is pictured for the price. The breakfast was cold (oatmeal and bacon), everything else at the breakfast bar was fine. Way too expensive for condition of hotel.

Black mold all over air conditioner vents. We left early for feast of being sick. Bathroom floor and base board was disgusting.

Breakfast was terrific. I was surprised at the variety as well as how it cooked. The room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. I will return to this hotel in the future

Our room was quite comfortable although a little on the small side. I chose the hotel because it had a no pets policy (I have allergies) and thus was willing to go to a hotel further off the highway. But the location proved to be good, as there were lots of restaurants to choose from in the immediate vicinity. Service and parking were fine.

No microwave in room. Wwhat? Elevator is a mile away from lobby.

I liked the cleanliness. I didn’t like my cable TV cutting out every 35 to 45 minutes the entire 3 day stay

Stayed in Suite with Jetted Tub. Jets felt great on lower back until you try to sleep in the really firm bed. Could use updates but overall worth trying.

No microwave in rooms

The location was great, stayed here while doing an ISU move in. The hotel is decent but has kind of an odd layout. If you have a room that starts in the low numbers you have to walk all the way down the hall from the front desk to get to an elevator to go up and then walk all the way back over to your room. There is a stair case you can walk down instead but that leads you to the parking lot. Also, the a/c did not get very cold and the curtain was broken.

We enjoyed our stay here. The bed was very comfortable, and the location very convenient. Nice kuerig type coffee maker in the room.

Everything was great. Only downfall was the hard bed

Stayed 3 nights at this hotel. Staff was very accommodating when they extended my two night stay to three nights. However, our two queen bed room was very small, our refrigerator didn’t work, and the TV service kept dropping out. We would not stay at this property again.

The beds were comfortable, but the room was a little small. Bathroom was a bit dated, as was most of the hotel. It was nice enough for the price, but nothing fancy.

Front desk gentleman was super nice and even offered food suggestions, room and area was clean, breakfast was decent, only thing would be bed was uncomfortable to me.. but overall would highly recommend..

I would love to give a perfect review, but unfortunately, I can\'t. The gentleman who checked us in was wonderful. He was really sweet and very attentive. On the departure the woman behind the desk was so rude. My husband wanted to check out and get a receipt, and the woman behind the desk was on her phone and rolled her eyes when my husband was standing at the front desk. My husband said we were checking out, and she said sarcastically, "OK," and continued talking on her phone, clearly not talking to a customer. When my husband stood there waiting she said, "Yes?" My husband said, "I would like a receipt". She then told the person on the other line," Hold On." I gave my husband a receipt without a "Was everything ok with your stay? or Thank you for staying with us." Absolutely no comment from her. This is such poor business etiquette. Unfortunately, we take this into strong consideration when we return to a hotel. The hotel was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and breakfast was decent. The rooms were a little small, but because we were there just to sleep, it didn\'t matter. We would stay there more because both our sons go to ISU, and we visit from time to time. But because of this young lady\'s attitude and our disturbing her personal phone call during her work time, we will not be returning again.

I will be going back here. The gentleman at the front desk was professional and kind. The property is beautiful. Looks like it was just renovated and most important it was very clean.

Hotel was clean, safe, comfortable and updated. Staff went out of their way to accommodate us, including making breakfast available an hour early because we were leaving early.

There was 1 problem but was quickly fixed by the property manager.

We booked this hotel on a whim while we were making a long drive home. We checked in around 3 am and the staff member at the front desk was quick to check us in, which we appreciated since we were so tired. The room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint was about the area surrounding the hotel. We had to park in the back of the hotel, next to an abandoned building that had some of the windows busted out of it. It wasn’t very well lit back there and made me a little hesitant to leave my car. Overall, staying at this hotel was a good experience and I’d stay here again.

Very pleasant stay and convenient for why we were in Bloomington. Nice staff and good breakfast. Easy parking and lots of options for food.

I would probably not ever reuse this hotel. Our room was super musty and my guess is that is because there is no ventilation in the bathroom. The outside was not cleaned up and the parking felt a bit unsafe, as you had to park all the way around the back. It served a purpose, but I would not return unless I had to.

Bathtub had holes in it. Heater made loud noises whenever fan was on. You could barely walk between bed and dresser. Sketchy area around hotel. If this is Best Western Plus, what does Best Western Minus look like ?

Near just about everything in Blo/No. Friendly, clean, worked out great for us.

The breakfast buffet was excellent. Super nice and delicious very tasty 😋.

Overall environment was very nice and customer service courteous. The breakfast buffet was fresh and had different items for guests to choose from. Check out is quick...the room card can be dropped in sealed boxes on the ground floor! 'Just checked my album, my photos are not so focused...I'll try better next time!

Just needed a night stay in a clean comfortable room. Hot breakfast was included but I can only give it about a 7/10 because the eggs were watery and nothing had any salt. Wasn't a big deal.

The staff was very friendly and efficient. The breakfast was really good! Waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, muffins, toast and cereal. The coffee was great! Espresso and americanos. Mostly updates but still had some updating to go.

Breakfast was terrific. I was surprised at the variety as well as how it cooked. The room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. I will return to this hotel in the future
