The room was clean, the staff were friendly. The breakfast was excellent with eggs, bacon or sausage, made to order omelets, muffins, juice, coffee, pancakes or French toast. Our rooms were quiet and we slept well. Unfortunately, while we were there (early August 2025), the pool was extremely overused. It was packed all day long. It was loud and there was not much room to move or swim without running into anyone or getting hit in the head by a nerf ball (true story!) The water was green from the overuse. There was a slight smell of old seafood in the air of the atrium. Thankfully, that smell did not enter into our rooms which were clean and smelled fine. At times there was a strong smell of marijuana in the entry way and the elevators, Thankfully, the smell never reached the breakfast area or our rooms.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and spacious, but not very easy to rest and relax and we were on the 2nd floor, directly above the lobby. It was so loud in the lobby and near the elevators until almost midnight. The pool was so overcrowded that they had to shut it down for maintenance, water was still murky when we’re finally allowed in. The staff seemed overwhelmed at that point. Maybe the clientele is different during the week but the majority were incredibly loud and obnoxious during our weekend stay. The complimentary happy hour and hot breakfast are lovely, but so many guests were trying to scam the staff and ruin a good thing. Given that there is now security (at least a staff member wearing a security shirt) and there is a behavior policy you need to sign off on, I assume there’s been a lot of sketchy behavior recently like a lot of places in OakBrook. Would be willing to try again during the week as the hotel is beautiful, but not entirely sure I’d book again. If looking for a nice indoor pool, I’d definitely avoid. It was in great need of regular maintenance.

Our hotel room smelled awful, like dampness and grime. The bathtub was streaked with soap scum, the carpets were filthy with black stains, it was truly disgusting. We called the front desk, but they had no other rooms and just offered to send someone up with air freshener. The elevators and dining area were also very dirty. There was a party next door with trash piled up outside. The whole hotel was a mess!

The pictures of the room online looked great and so I decided to book our room. When we got there, the room was not as clean as I had hoped. We had a table and 6 chairs and the chairs were made out of fabric. The chairs were covered in stains: ( the sectional in the room (made out of fabric) was used and discolored on the arms.

I've stayed here a couple of times, the suites are large for a group of 6 to stay in. My group stayed there for the week/weekend of Lollapalooza and it was a wonderful time. We enjoyed every minute. The rooms were clean, it was easy to get more towels or toilet paper when needed, the staff were welcoming. Overall, my group and I had a great time!

I've stayed here a couple of times, the suites are large for a group of 6 to stay in. My group stayed there for the week/weekend of Lollapalooza and it was a wonderful time. We enjoyed every minute. Main issue we experienced was a low functioning AC. We set the thermostat at 65 degrees but it never reached that temp, more like 73-74. It was stuffy and uncomfortable which made it difficult to sleep. We requested maintenance but they failed to assess the issue correctly.

I've stayed at this property probably five times throughout the past year and this was the worst stay. Friday and Saturday night was overrun by people wanting to have room parties, so much so that they had an off-duty police officer there to help quiet things down at quiet hours. Until those quiet hours started, it was chaotic. I inquired about this at the front desk and they said this is now the new normal for their property. The smell of marijuana permeated the entire facility and unbeknownst to them that if you stayed on the third floor, which we did, the air conditioning units for the facility emanated a high pitch grinding noise throughout the night that would literally keep you up. I usually book in Embassy Suites for travel, but I will probably not frequent this one anymore. Sad.

This was probably the top 5 WORST hotel experiences I have ever had. We were looking forward to staying here because of the Embassy Suites reputation. However, upon checking it, I realized that this hotel does not deserve the name. When I checked in, there was a very disorganized line up of guests in the lobby (people hovering around waiting to speak to someone) and there was only one person working the desk. The man was not friendly at all (probably overwhelmed with the lobby chaos) and I was rushed through check in, given a room key, and asked to sign for the charges. I wasn't even told what room number we were staying in - so I looked at the room key card to figure that out myself. When booking through hotels.com I was given a receipt which included room cost & taxes and the parking charge is $12.50 (totaling around $165). Following the stay, my credit card was charged around $180. Wee did not make any other room charges while we were there. When inquiring about the OVERCHARGE, I was told...that is how it is. Embassy suites refused to do a partial refund and I was never given a receipt to even explain the surprise charges. The stay was also VERY BAD. It was very loud in the hallway until around 12:30pm & my daughter couldn't sleep. The breakfast was good but they were out of pork sausage and only had turkey sausage. The room was clean and spacious. I would never stay at this hotel ever again, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

I hated that night auditor treats Expedia (3rd party online booking) customers as lower class customers. The hotel was overbooked, the local hotel roster was showing -2 rooms. So I’m arriving at 11:42pm at night, and she tell me to go deal with Expedia. I’m a Hilton rewards member and I showed her that Hilton app was still showing rooms available so it wasn’t just an Expedia issue. It was a tough night because I was stuck without a room.

Later that day, I learned that my autistic son would be staying with me instead of with his cousin. When I called the front desk to inform them, I was met with a dismissive attitude, being told I needed to come down to complete additional information. I found their response to be rude and unhelpful, particularly given my situation. Throughout my stay, I communicated my grievances to the manager on duty via text, including issues such as scalding hot water with no balance, a broken table and toilet tissue holder, and a room that felt outdated and had an unpleasant smell. Unfortunately, due to hosting a birthday party, I was unable to address these problems in person and did not want to risk upsetting my son further by changing rooms. While the manager offered me 15,000 Hilton Honors points for the inconvenience, I believe this does not adequately reflect the distress I experienced during my stay. Love staying at Embassy Suites. The breakfast is always a favorite of mine, made to order omelettes, eggs, protein, oatmeal, cut up fruit. The openness of the atrium is also something I really enjoy with Embassy Suites and this location’s atrium is so lovely. The bartenders are as nice as can be and work quickly during happy hour when everyone is cashing in their 2 complementary drinks. The rooms are nice and clean, my room had three different sinks, one in the bathroom, one in the bedroom, and one in the living room. The gym is small but has a peloton, which was nice to use. I always enjoy staying at this location and plan to be back soon.

Long weekend vacation with wife and two older teen daughters. Hotel and room on 9th floor was VERY quiet and comfortable despite a large number of families and young children in hotel that weekend. Breakfast was above average. Distance from downtown Chicago and morning evening traffic was an issue. If you are staying in this hotel hoping for quick access to and from Downtown Chicago, I would not recommend.

It was an easy to check in process, the room was clean and comfortable. I appreciate the atrium area and the many tables they had that you could sit at. The breakfast was fabulous, great selection, made to order omelets, pancakes or French toast, bacon or sausage, eggs, yogurt, oatmeal, fruit, muffins, and more. The bartenders were great. I didn’t make use of the pool or hot tub during my stay. I would definitely go back.

The staff was wonderful. Breakfast had lots of options and the custom omelette station is a great touch. The daily Happy Hour is generous and it feels like an old school place that really cares about their customers. Pool needs some love. Room needed to be detail clean but it was spacious and quiet.

Breakfast was just okay. Very few options. Donna would say “you hear again” if kids would go back to grab a fruit or something. I have stayed in many hotels and this one was the worse breakfast experience ever! Paying for parking is absurd! We are already paying for hotel. I would not stay there again.

Staff was very friendly, and I appreciated that my room was cleaned and restocked with fresh towels. I really enjoyed the custom omelet bar and the fitness center. It was disappointing that the treadmills didn't work on one day and the staff had to wait for maintenance to come in for the day before being able to fix. Since they all went out at the same time it seems like a fuse had blown and they could have flipped a switch or pushed a button to fix. I found another option for cardio, but did see several people walk out.

From a corporate perspective this is quality control, but for the customer, these expenses add up when it used to be included. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

The front desk wasn’t real welcoming or helpful. But the staff in the rest of the hotel was extremely kind. So the check in was a lil rough but the snack time people were fabulous. Also we had to go to the ballroom bc of tornado warnings and the whole staff helping was wonderful and brought water for all of us. So we had a mixed experience.

This experience with Embassy Suites was bad from the start. When we got to check in they had given our room away so we had to find another room for the night. Then I was told they had the room so we went back the next day only to find they had a king suite instead of a double queen suite like I had reserved. Then the AC did NOT work for the entirety of our stay.

This was the worst stay. Room was dirty and didnt look like it was cleaned. Stains in the spare blanket, stains on floor and the bathroom just looked gross with mildew and dirty looking. The main tv didnt work and no matter how many times we called and told staff at front desk (7) times, no one ever came. To pay for a hotel room and to have normal amenities not be done or work and to have the lack of customer service is outrages. The room rate wasnt cheap and i will make sure i tell people not to stay at your property. I got no help from the front desk when i complained. Basically ignored. I will also leave a bad rating and review everywhere. Something should of been done to help, ignoring me (paying patron) is 100% appauling and unacceptable.
