Decent for the price. No garbage room on 1st floor. Washers don't directly accept credit card. You need 9 quarters or download the app. No coin machine. Front desk staff hide in the back. Couldn't hear me but came out when phone rang?

The entryway was filthy. They should sweep and mop for guests. The lobby should always be clean but it was dirty. The elevator was broken and the hotel has a bad odor. My bed sinks in the middle and the pillows are extremely small.I’m not too comfortable or happy

When we arrived, we were told that the elevator to our third floor room was out of service, but would be fixed immediately. Seven days later and way too many trips up and down three flights, we learned that their promises were bold face lies. yesterday, a woman passed me on the stairs and complained that she’d been there for three weeks and it had not worked one day. So this is not a short term problem. Once we got to our room we had to have housekeeping come and vacuum because the carpet was still dirty. The phone didn’t work in the room so we let them know about that as well. They took the phone to fix it and of course never returned it. Yes, seven days without a phone in the room. This stay was disappointing to say the very least the front desk seemed like nice people unfortunately they didn’t follow through or just outright lied to us.

Property was dirty on the inside. Room smelled bad. Coffee was terrible. Outside doors were not secured. Anyone could get in the side doors. Noisy, lots of little kids running around. People would leave their garbage outside or in the parking lot.

The elevator was only 1 and slow. On our am ride on it there was a pair of cleaning gloves thrown in the corner. Our room had shampoo, but no conditioner. The room was sparsely appointed overall. No place to fill a water bottle.

Dear MainStay Suites Schaumburg Management, I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment regarding our recent stay at your hotel. The conditions we encountered were entirely unacceptable and, in several cases, unsafe. We believe a full or partial refund is warranted based on the following serious issues: Cleanliness and Room Condition: Dishes were left dirty in the dishwasher, including a pot with burnt food. The provided silverware was inadequate — for example, only one spoon was available. Stains were present on both the couch and mattress. The couch mattress was ripped, worn down, and uncomfortable, with exposed springs. A spare blanket was wadded up into a ball and appeared unsanitary. No fitted sheet was provided for the pull-out mattress. Safety and Security Issues: Side doors intended for keycard access were often unlocked or would not close properly, leaving the hotel accessible to anyone. Reserved two rooms for family. They put us on 1st and 3rd floors on opposite ends. Reservation said queen beds but they were full size not queen. Some dog hair on bed. Sink completely plugged in one room. No commercial ice machine and the one in our fridge didn't work. Guy at front was friendly at least and it was a place to sleep so it worked.

When i paid online i was under the impression breakfast was included only to find out when we got there it wasnt. The room and whole hotel had a funky smell. The couch in the room was filled with gross stains. No ice machine. Someone in a room by us had a dog that barked all night. Absolutely terrible stay. Never going back again

Room #230. Mold on the bathroom ceiling. Clearly a giant pile of dirt and dust and crumbs swept between the fridge and kitchen counter. Microwave dirty. Desk wobbling and about to break. Stains on the bedside chair. We could not afford to switch hotels, we had no other option. However, rooms do NOT look like the picture and the staff could care less about keeping the place clean. The only thing that seemed clean was the bed.

I understand that this hotel allows dogs, however there was dog poop scattered all over. Some of it looked like it had been there for days. The trash can at the end of the hall had full trash bags sitting around it. The furniture in the room waa dirty and worn. The curtains were old and had stains on them. Not to mention they were hanging off the rods. I only had one fork. The kitchen sink didnt drain and the garbage disposal didnt work. There wasn't any dish soap. The ice maker in the freezer took just about my entire stay to make 2 cups of ice. If it were possible i would love to get a FULL refund. I have photos of everything that I have put in this message. Oh cant forget the piece of bread that was left in the cabinet. It was hard as a rock. Maybe a few weeks old.

When i got there and checked the closet there was about 5 pieces of clothing from im assuming the last guest and in the fridge still had food from last guest most part of the room was very visibly dusty and when i was going to use the pan they provided that was still in the dishwasher i took it out and it had food still stuck to the pan all over. Overall i think this was one of the worst hotels i’ve stayed at. The area is great but the cleanliness was terrible.

It was a very busy weekend in the area so I’m not sure if they tried cutting corners on cleaning the room. The room was pretty dirty full bag of garbage in room when we arrived, no soap of any kind, no shampoo and no blankets for sofa sleeper. The bathroom floor and toilet were pretty dirty with a fair amount of hair.

Check-in person and cleaning staff (needed linens for sofa bed that were not in the room) were great . Hotel not so much. First room we had smelled like cigar smoke. Got a new room across the hall and could still smell it. Couch was full of stains. Bathtub faucet dripped. Found hairs on the door of bathroom.

The rooms we booked were so dirty and not properly cleaned and set up. The chairs were all stained and had a layer of dirt. The mattress under the bedsheets were awfully dirty and old.The floors were sticky the couch had a layer of pet hair all over it. The bathroom sink wouldn’t drain properly and the floors were also very dirty. I wouldn’t stay here again.

This place left much to be desired. The only bonus was that it was in a convenient location, and the gentleman working the front desk was nice. Upon arriving, the first room we were in smelled of smoke so bad that it made me sick. I am generally not picky, but it was bad. All of the lights were on in the room, the couch cushions were disgusting, and the table and counters were very dirty. We requested a less-smoky room and the front desk worker was very helpful to move us. The next room - smelled horribly of air freshener, likely trying to cover up the smell of smoked. It was a bit cleaner, but this sofa was kinda stained as well, and overall the room was kinda gross. The sink was clogged with standing water and the garbage disposal didn’t work. The TV was small, I’m guessing 32 inches. There were spots on the ceiling where it looked like the popcorn ceiling was coming apart and it was simply taped over with clear mailing tape. The shower has hardly and pressure and overall the room was just kinda gross. My son slept on the pull out sofa bed and the mattress was maybe 4 inches thick and he said you could feel all of the springs from the frame to poking through and it was very uncomfortable. The WiFi signal was also very weak and the walls VERY thin. All in all, we wouldn’t stay here again. It didn’t feel unsafe, so I guess that’s good. It was the lesser expensive option of nearby hotels, but I don’t think the savings made it worth it.

Don't come here unless you like taking cold showers. Yep, no hot water. So, of course, I called the front desk, and kept getting the run around, maintenance is coming in 5 minutes, then 10 minutes, then 15 minutes, etc. Finally get a call, and he tells me that maintenance 'should be here soon' and that the whole building is out of hot water. I waited and waited and waited. Needless to say, I just left. There was no form of compensation. I paid my money, I stayed there, no hot water, and they couldn't care less. This place is a joke.

We needed a suite hotel to accommodate our family of three adults in suburban Chicago for a visit with family and a celebratation of our daughter's birthday. Main Stay Suites in Schaumburg seemed the perfect for our mini-vacation. There was plenty of room with more than adequate kitchen space and appliances, a nicely-sized living room with sofabed and chair and a main bedroom with a chest, nightstand and closet. It was an ADA unit so the bathroom was exceptionally large. We enjoyed our stay after sorting out the misleading pet policy on the 3rd party travel pet site. Our recommendation to the management group of this hotel is that it be cleaned thoroughly from top to bottom including common areas with tile and carpeting and that delapidated furniture be replaced with items from this century.

There Mattress is very low quality for a hotel. Heating system is also very old. It makes lots of sound. So if you are not a deep sleeper, don't go there.

The hotel's receptionists were very accommodating and friendly. The amenities provided in each room made my stay quite comfortable. I would certainly recommend this hotel to others who are mindful of their budget. The location was also very convenient.

Decent for the price. No garbage room on 1st floor. Washers don't directly accept credit card. You need 9 quarters or download the app. No coin machine. Front desk staff hide in the back. Couldn't hear me but came out when phone rang?

When we arrived, we were told that the elevator to our third floor room was out of service, but would be fixed immediately. Seven days later and way too many trips up and down three flights, we learned that their promises were bold face lies. yesterday, a woman passed me on the stairs and complained that she’d been there for three weeks and it had not worked one day. So this is not a short term problem. Once we got to our room we had to have housekeeping come and vacuum because the carpet was still dirty. The phone didn’t work in the room so we let them know about that as well. They took the phone to fix it and of course never returned it. Yes, seven days without a phone in the room. This stay was disappointing to say the very least the front desk seemed like nice people unfortunately they didn’t follow through or just outright lied to us.

The front desk had one employee checking in all new reservations at check in time as well as answering outside calls, answering in hotel calls and releasing cleaned rooms. Needless to say he was beyond overwhelmed and frustrated, left the front desk multiple times to talk to the manager who sounded like she was just sitting in the back at a desk. Check in took way too long. I went downstairs in the morning to get some coffee. There was one thermos of decaf and a large commercial size coffee pot. I grabbed a cup to get some regular coffee and got about 1/8 a cup of coffee and a bunch of coffee grounds. I was only staying for one night and it was pretty much to sleep and leave so this was not a huge deal for me. If I had booked a longer stay I would have asked for a refund and gone to another hotel.

We had only one set of towels for 2. I went to get the another towel but was told they don't give new towel without replace with dirty one.(I agued at front and finally he gave a one towel) I hope the hotel don't think I took towels from room. No hair dryer though.

Font desk person "JJ" assist me with check in. His attitude seemed off when he made sure I get my license plate or he cannot check me in. I wasn't upset about it considering it may be their policy. Room was decent and seemed ok. Mattress was so old it made noises when I toss and turned. Next morning I had bad ache in neck and back. I called front desk and JJ said he will change room but it will be at 12 pm. I was ok since didn't want to check out, was staying for 6 nights. At 12pm I went down and he showed me another room with same issue. I told him I want to check out as I can't sleep 6 nights on that mattress. He charged me for two nights stating that check out was 12pm and I waited that long to notify him. He had such a bad attitude towards me and has horrible customer service. I will never recommend this hotel. If you have no choice please check room first.

The better choice of extended stay hotels in the area. Far superior than ESA. Staff at this location and Hoffman Estates location are great, whenever I check in the rooms are alway cleaned spotless with clean dishes in the cabinets. Its just a better experience in my opinion. A lot better.

They had to downgrade my room from 1 queen bed and and pullout to just 1 queen bed for myself, my teenager daughter and my granddaughter. So we had to share a bed and by a childs air mattress so my granddaughter didn't have to sleep on the floor. We stayed for 8 nights. Our 6th night i had to keep the girls in the room because another guest a couple rooms down from us (on the 1st floor) was masterbating in front on his open window. Other than that our stay wasn't horrible. We were there for a nationals dance competition, so we weren't in our room much.

The room was super nice, a little outdated but still nice. Definitely will consider for another stay in the future. Felt very homey and the hallways and rest of the building were clean and nicer then most of the places Ive stayed at lately. There were some oddities in our room but nothing that made the stay bad and the property felt safe and parking was easy and convenient.

The place I stayed was convenient and quite nice to stay in, with a layout more like an apartment. It was a little old fashioned but not terribly so. Wifi was highly inconsistent. Staff was kind. There were a lot of suspicious people loitering around during check-in late at night outside the hotel, but they didn't really bother me. Definitely fine for the price.

We liked the location very close to Woodfield Mall and restaurants. Location seemed pretty safe. Garbage cans around the property were emptied fairly quickly during the week, but both weekends the garbage just piled up. We told the front desk and it was promptly removed. Front desk responsive. Coffee every morning was excellent! Would stay again. Thanks for a great stay!

The cons are that you had to take your towels down and exchange them for new ones every time. Staff didn’t change them for you. They had no breakfast even though it was listed for free breakfast. The downstairs restrooms did not work. We also had to pick up our own toilet paper. The room pull out couch mattress was uncomfortable to sleep on one A/C unit for the whole suite. Wish they had one separate in the room and one for the living room area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Is considered staying again if it was my last resort. The pricing was very reasonable too. Overall, it was an average stay. I would have better service at other places but I would stay again.

Building was run down, room stuck in 90’s - bathroom door did not close…. My toddler kept going in the bathroom because a simple door wouldn’t shut. Place had sketchy people hanging around, definitely do not recommend for families or solo travel. Place has seen much better days, also no breakfast in this day and age even extended stay has basic breakfast.

Property was dirty on the inside. Room smelled bad. Coffee was terrible. Outside doors were not secured. Anyone could get in the side doors. Noisy, lots of little kids running around. People would leave their garbage outside or in the parking lot.

This place was one of the worst i stayed at. It needs to be shut down. They didnt - dirty and sticky floors, dirty walls, dirty coach - things were broken: heater, window screen, - walls had stains. - I got sick becuase the sheets were dirty and caught a cold and must not have been replaced. - horrible smell as you entered the room. There was no breakfast as it claimed. Coffee that tasted like tar frankly. And the staff made me sign a document saying at anypoint they are authorized to just barge right in! The worst

Stayed here for several weeks during the summer. Overall, I was very satisfied. No major issues or complaints. People at the front desk were always helpful. Jasmine was very helpful to me on several occasions. My room was recently renovated and in excellent condition. If there was an issue, the maintenance man came quickly. Kitchenette was very handy for me. Parking was never a problem. Terrific location: walkable to Woodfield Mall and some nearby restaurants.

Stayed here for 10 days. I like it because there is front desk agent available overnight. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Even guests were nice. Close by restaurants, stores and shopping mall. I personally don't need nothing better. The only thing is if you plan to go to Chicago every day you better have rental car instead of using uber.

I was at your Schaumburg location for a funeral. My room bathroom sink was clogged and there was only one towel for 2 people. It was disappointing there were no ice machine in your establishment, first hotel I ever stayed at with no ice machine. My room was not at all ideal for 2 people, there were 3 pillows which were too small and flat, I did not rest well at your hotel. I will not be returning.
