*We needed to do laundry but 1) front desk didn't have any quarters 2) when I got quarters, the washer didn't work 3) when we finally determined it was out of order, I received no help in finding a way to wash my clothes, or even an apology. *The pool was not in service, and we received no indication as such until we arrived. *Only one elevator was working. *Staff were not rude, but were not especially friendly either.

The pool was not operational, every time we asked for something they told us what they wouldn't do. I needed soap in the shower, I was told they won't make the bed. At check in we were told we had breakfast in the morning we were not on the list? Nothing awful but probably will not stay here again.

Our stay went very well and the staff were nice. MY ONLY complaint is that the pool was closed when we traveled and that was one of the main reasons we were visiting. otherwise we had a nice visit. cookies were DELICIOUS as well!

The pool was closed for renovations, had I know we would have booked elsewhere. The smoke alarm battery died @1:50am. The breakfast buffet was “not included in the bill rate” for anyone that I heard ask about it, myself included. There was only one working elevator.

We were looking for a hotel that had a restaurant and bar. Their said they had those amenities plus room service. But sadly traveling in bad winter weather. We arrived and found none of those things. But the staff were very wonderful.

The pool wasn’t open and there was no cable. No ice machine on every floor either. Good area and was pet friendly though. Fix your amenities. Cookie was good as always.

I was really bummed out about the bar/restaurant. The room was nice and clean. Only thing is if you looking to book this place based off the bar/restaurant be mindful that it’s only open Sunday through Thursday. And it’s not really a restaurant it’s just breakfast and you have to pay $15 for breakfast. So I was really upset about that

We liked the contactless check-in and convenient parking. Hotel was in a convenient location. The pool was dated. A light in the pool was broke and laying at bottom of the pool. The water did not get hot in the shower. It water was luke warm and unpleasant.

Our room had a mold issue around the window. (427) The room itself did not smell good. The fridge didn’t keep the food cold. The room was very dusty. The plug under the beside table was disgusting. It looked like it had never been cleaned. The sheets and blankets were clean, the towels were nice and white. The staff were all very kind, courteous and caring. The pool had been closed, the staff opened it for the weekend, which was great, however the aweful smell in the pool room .. well, it was aweful! The water was chilly but clean. The breakfast was very good. There was no lunch or dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Stayed here for one night. The room had a musty smell to it and the next day when I went home I had bed bug bites all over my feet. The Manager said he would issue a refund and that did not happen. I have been trying to contact the property to speak to the manager again and he seems to never be there.

Our experience at this property was terrible! Upon checking in to our room there were feces particles inside the toliet bowl, and feces on the outside of the toliet, also there were pubic hairs around the toliet. There was hair inside the tub. There was a stain on the blanket of our bed. And throughout the night leading in to the morning there were constant door slams from other guests in the hotel, that's how thin the walls are at that hotel. The people above our head were very disruptive all throughout the night. And once we were finally able to get some sleep we were awaken at 7 a.m on a Sunday morning by the next room who was connected to our wall. They woke us up because they were having S**. As they were having s** their head board of the bed kept rocking back and forth, each time their headboard hit against the wall our headboard rocked back and forth too. This went on for some time. Imagine laying in the bed and everytime your neighbors bed rocks, yours rocks too literally. And this is because of how thin the walls are at the Double tree in Schaumburg. This was one of the worst stays ever! Please be aware, if you want a clean room with out a show of extra curriculum activities Double Tree hotel in Schaumburg is not the hotel for you! I would never stay at this Hilton location ever again! It was truly a nightmare!

When I first arrived to the hotel everything seemed to be going just fine the attendant was pleasant however we encountered the worst incident that possibly could ever happen there were bed bugs in the bed my daughter was attacked by bed bugs and rushed to the emergency room because of an allergic reaction videotape was taken of the bed bugs and the staff was called to the bedroom I have not heard a response back from the hotel but I am trying to handle the situation with guest correspondence the worst experience of Our Lives

I was not impressed. The staff were not the friendliest. The room was DIRTY and rundown. The carpet had stains and stickyness. I don't think they have ever been cleaned. We had hard rain, and it flooded the parking lot. Standing water was inches above the ankle. We could not get our vehicle until the next day.

The room was fine, it was clean and looked as advertised. It had a mildew like smell possibly coming from the air unit? The tv got like 5 clear channels and one of them had no sound. The tub had a very slow drain so by the end of my shower I was standing in all the water from my shower, and the towels smelled so gross I opted to let myself air dry.

For the most part it was fantastic but who on earth thought that a sink with absolutely no “counter” space was a good idea. With the soap tray there was barely any room to put my toothpaste tube down except for maybe the toilet!?!. There was no storage space for anything, not even under the sink. There was space under the sink - the floor and I don’t want to put my makeup bag on the floor. But then again there was the toilet seat…..

The location was average nothing to spectacular the corner room was not as big as I thought it would be and there was a connecting door that I was able to hear a child crying very clearly therefore was not impressed with the corner room.

Do not stay at this hotel if you want to get any sleep! The walls are paper thin. I could hear every word of a phone conversation our neighbor was having ( someone owed him $300 and he wanted it back!). Then the same neighbor proceeded to have his tv on all night. I could hear it as if it was in my room. Had an early flight the next morning and got NO sleep.

Do not stay at this hotel if you want to get any sleep! The walls are paper thin. The place was clean, but management is cutting back on some things. If you wanted to watch t.v from local stations it wasn't available. I think that is important if you are planning on going out and planning your day, and you want to see the local weather. You can see other issues that could be taken care of, but it might not be in the budget.

Stay was ok, but not the nicest Double Tree I was expecting. Wall paper peeling off the walls. Toilet didn’t want to flush and when it did it ran forever. No hot water for showers. Pool area is kind of run down and multiple trip & fall hazards the way the flooring is. Pillows were very flat so Id take your own. Staff was nice.

Checked in and went to dinner. Came back to room and someone elses luggaage was in our room. When went to compain staff acted like it was our fault and said qe never checked in ( we had receipt and room key) tried to get us to pay an incidental fee again to get a new room. Took us over an hour to get any other room and convince them that we did check in earlier.

I was not happy with the way the staff interacted with me. Air conditioning did not work. We had to switch rooms three times. No acknowledgement or any sort of perks were offered despite having to move a few times

It was awful. We arrived late with two kids. The guy at the front desk made us wait for one hour in the car to give us our room. He was too busy watching videos on his laptop to at least politely explain what was happening. We had to call Expedia to make this guy move. In the check out, they charge us for a movie that we didn’t order. Supposedly we ordered it at 12:30am, I told them that it was imposible because we were sleeping at that time. They tried me as a lier, and told me that “the charge is automatically posted, but they will investigate”. They left the charge. Finally, they tried to charge again for the room. I had to show them my Expedia invoice showing that the room was prepaid. They write donen how much I paid apparently to check that out too. Stay away from these rude people.

Facility needs upgrades, pool out of service & room had nearly non-existent tv service, bed was great but shower needs update. No in room checkout. Prime but neglected corporate center facility needs funding from Hilton corporate.

What I liked most about the property was its clean, spacious rooms and the convenient location near shopping and attractions like Woodfield Mall. The free shuttle service and the friendly staff also made my stay more enjoyable. The indoor pool and 24-hour fitness center were great amenities that added to the overall comfort.

Free coffee and tea The hotel, itself, could use some work. 2nd elevator broken the entire 4 nts.; room could use updating; bathroom had one small pedestal sink with no place to put toiletries; stopper broken in sink; no entry lighting in room until you get all the way in room by the bed area; room had unpleasant smell; had to ask several times to get the special cookies (always out); no dining unless you purchase the breakfast.

Near Legoland was the benefit. There was no complimentary breakfast even though it was list as one I used the Expedia app and filters for pool and free breakfast. The breakfast was $14.95 for adults and $7.95 for kids under 6.

We were looking for a hotel that had a restaurant and bar. Their said they had those amenities plus room service. But sadly traveling in bad winter weather. We arrived and found none of those things. But the staff were very wonderful.

Facility was clean and good but did not offered cookies or even water which I have had in other properties, at least they offer water (even though I usually don't take it, at least they offered), bar and restaurant closed on Sunday when I arrived. Good property but did not impress.

We enjoyed our stay in room 415. The room was clean and updated. The beds and chairs were comfy. The staff were friendly and helpful. Although there was no coffee maker or microwave in the room, we had access to a microwave, and hot water for coffee or tea (or oatmeal we brought) in the lobby. We were provided a big mini fridge in the room with ample freezer space to refreeze our soft side cooler ice pack. This was a more important feature for us We are road tripping across the US on Spring Break, only stayed one night and had packed food for meals on the road. While there is no complimentary breakfast, for $15/person you could purchase a nice hot breakfast if needed. If you are looking for an affordable and nice place to stay, I highly recommend Double Tree Schaumburg. We paid $100 after taxes. A great room at a great price!

The bathroom had absolutely no shelf space for any personal items. The restaurant/bar was only open Mon-Wed. There was no room service. The TV was not working properly and staff was rude when I complained. And, of course. I gpot the room right next to the elevator because I booked with Expedia. Won't stay at a Double Tree again.

I was really bummed out about the bar/restaurant. The room was nice and clean. Only thing is if you looking to book this place based off the bar/restaurant be mindful that it’s only open Sunday through Thursday. And it’s not really a restaurant it’s just breakfast and you have to pay $15 for breakfast. So I was really upset about that

Warm cookies at check-in were a real treat. Only one washcloth and no soap in room. Pool was overrun by a large crowd of rowdy youth baseball players. Breakfast was great-servers were very attentive and helpful. Window had a leak and I woke to the sound of rain water dripping.

The hotel appeared that the foyer and floors weren't vacuumed in a month. Walls were filthy. Curtains in our room were filthy. Bathroom needed deep cleaning. Shampoo bottle was off the wall in the shower. Housekeeping came into make up the room and pulled up the sheets on the bed and dropped off towels. This hotel could use a refresh.

The front desk staff was wonderful. When checking we were asked if we wanted housekeeping and we said every other day was good. The hotel did not provide any housekeeping services during our 4 night stay. When getting on the elevator one time a housekeeper was getting off in the back and yelled at us to get out.

Great hotel like 3-5 years ago: I’ve been staying at this hotel for years, used to be a nice hotel, but this recent visit definitely starting to show its age. Paid extra for a corner room, one of the blinds had a big tear in the fabric, the carpet also had a big torn spot that looked like a fix we attempted but not successful. Paint chipping everywhere, cracked tiles in the bathroom. Only 1 of the 2 elevators seemed to be working. Room was at least cleaned well did appreciate that. So it was ok but not great, probably will look other properties next time I’m in town.

Very disappointed in the staff at this Doubletree. Arrived late at night after several hours of travel to find they had given my reserved room away. Offered me a king room when I specifically reserved a two queen room due to the people I was traveling with need separate beds, and obviously not going to share a bed. The young man at the front desk didn’t seem to care one bit and offered no alternative such as a roll away, he just stated you can have the king room only because we are sold out. I questioned why my reservation wasn’t honored, he had no explanation. I asked if it was because I booked through Hotels.com and not through Hilton, he claimed it wasn’t, which I don’t believe. I will absolutely avoid this particular Doubletree in the future, as the young man’s attitude was unacceptable. He just didn’t care! I’ll be reaching out the manager of the hotel as well, however don’t expect anything to come of it. We were not able to stay at this hotel due to the sleeping arrangements we were offered. If I make a reservation for a specific room style, that’s what I expect on arrival. I’d steer clear of this location if you actually need the room you booked. Very disappointed!
