Best Western Luxbury Inn Fort Wayne

The room was clean, but LOOKED dingy, mostly in the bathroom areas. It could have been the lighting or tile color choice, but it was just sad looking. The lobby, while clean, smelled stongly of disinfectant. The first front desk staff person has said the same thing so many times that he rattled it off very quickly and in a monotone. The young lady at the front desk as we were checking out was lovely. The breakfast was very good.

We booked an accessible room. It was spacious. Shower was large wheel in with shower bench. Bathroom had multiple grab bars. But the toilet was so low. That would make this room inaccessible for a lot of people. The walls were like tissue paper thin. The first night the person next door coughed the entire night. Loud enough we could hear over the TV that we turned up as loud as we thought we could, Then other nights we could hear enire conversations and exactly what was happening on the TV show. The lobby reeked of body odor several times. We had stayed here before and had none of these issues. We were very disappointed with the stay.

Room dirty, toilet seat loose, bathroom doorknob and lock falling off, hot water had to be fixed, hard to shut window curtains, bed mattresses kept sliding off the bed frame when you sat on the mattress, elevator did not work. Needed extra bath towels and was given a bathmat and some kind of colored cloth-----not bath-towels!! GOOD: The clerk Jerry who check us in saw that I was handicapped and gave me a first-floor room since the elevator was broke. Breakfast area was nice and clean and food was good (never located the Biscuits & Gravy), but there was plenty of other items to eat and drink. Staff working in that area kept everything filled and were very helpful when granddaughter tried making waffles. Also the girl who was working desk when we checked out listed our complaints------------I was not the only one complaining, she had over 10 or more people who had complained before me. Whoever owns this location sure does not seem to care about keeping the place in good condition. I will not recommend it or stay there again. 1 to 10 rating 1

This hotel was mediocre and I probably wouldn't stay here again. The place is very tired. There were dust bunnies behind the bathroom door and on the floor under the closet area which was off-putting. The bathtub-shower had what I'm assuming is rust in the bathtub floor. It was orange and again, off-putting. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was decent except that it was only open until 9am. Shabby is the word I would use for this hotel.

Not bad for the price compared to others I’ve seen.
