Tropical Winds 502

I felt the property was secure enough to leave my purse, ect in while on the beach.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Tropical Winds! The condo was nice and clean for our Girls' Trip. The A/C worked well and the beds were comfortable! The view from the balcony is gorgeous and it's a super easy walk to the beach. We enjoyed that it was a smaller building, with less condos, and getting an elevator was never a problem, like we had read about at other buildings. The only downsides were that the bathrooms were on the small side and there was no chair service but I would still stay here again...in a heartbeat!

Nicely remodeled unit- no carpeting (good thing), nice walk-in shower for elders, nice beachy decor. Comfortable king beds. Things worked well- microwave, Keurig & drip coffee makers, ice maker, washer/dryer. Single elevator worked well; only 32 units in the building. Lanai sliding doors were hard to move- had maintenance come to lubricate which helped some, but elder still had difficulty; apparently a lot of sliders were damaged in the last hurricane. Right on the beach, so can hear the ocean even with windows closed. Enjoyed watching dolphins, pelicans & manta rays from the lanai. Beachfront is far from public areas so uncrowded (although we were there in December at a slow time). Multiple restaurants are within a couple miles. Condos are non-smoking, although found it annoying when people smoked on their lanai & it drove us inside- would prefer a completely non-smoking building.

Overall, we had a great trip. We loved the easy access to the pool and beach. Beautiful view and a great location close to many restaurants and shops! The cleanliness was not up to my standards. At a quick glance, things looked “clean” but the floors were actually really really dirty (they turned my child’s house shoes black- so we threw those away) , underneath all of the beds, pull out/couch, dressers, nightstands, etc were filthy with dust. Things to me that can be easily moved and cleaned under, but have obviously been neglected. I reached out to property regarding some possible mold on the ceilings. The unit had a musty smell when we entered and some of the ceilings in the living room and master bedroom looked as though they had possibly painted over spots that may have been moldy (not confirmed, but just something I noticed). I got a quick response from them, but there was never once a person to come by to check the issue like I was told they would do. Both sinks in the bathrooms did not drain well at all, which was quite annoying. And last but not least, the stand up shower had some mold in it which definitely could’ve used a little ✨mold armor✨ I think with a few little changes (especially the cleaning part of it), it’d be a nice place to visit again. The condo itself was great! Super quiet, plenty of parking, a beach and pool to ourselves for most of the week, and some very sweet owners we got to meet during our stay. We look forward to another trip soon!

This property was just as described. Everything worked as it should. There were couple of issues with codes to pool area.(would suggest sending everyone renting a message if codes change). Beach view and short distance to beach was great.

5th floor, but it has a quick elevator.

We did not contact anyone with checking in or out. Everyone in the building was respectful of each other unattended items. Easy and secure access to the pool and beach. The kitchen was equipped with lots of cookware. Highly recommend this condo.

This property had the best of everything! I am a slight germaphobe and this place was extremely clean. The walk down to the beach was easy for my elderly mom. Everything was easily accessible. The place was cute and we look forward to staying here again.

Overall, we loved our stay. Furniture, beds, etc. were all very comfortable and the patio was superb--with a fantastic view of the ocean and the morning sun was perfect. Towels were short in supply including kitchen, one very worn dishcloth and one very thin dish towel (rags I bought were in better shape) Each bathroom had one face cloth and only a few towels. Every thing else was nicely supplied and we loved our rental.

This condo is in the perfect location for a panoramic view of the ocean. We loved seeing dolphins from our balcony. It’s an elevator ride and steps to the beach. Having two king beds was great. (We didn’t use the sofa bed.) Short drive (or walk) to restaurants and shops. Our family of four (kids ages 15 and 8) had a great time. We look forward to returning.

This is a great place with a great view. Everything appears new and clean. The only reason for not getting 5 stars is the mattress in guest room is very uncomfortable. It is hard and springs on surface level. Honestly everything else is perfect but when you’re paying this much for a place to sleep you want it comfortable.

This unit was the perfect place to stay. With the precious decor, spacious living, perfect views and very convenient location...I will absolutely request this unit again. Thanks to the owners and managers that keep this unit and facility welcoming and pleasant.

Great location right on the beach. Area is easy to get around. Excellent seafood. Close to The Wharf in Orange Beach which has upscale shopping. We’ll go back to this beautiful part of America!

Everything about this experience was excellent. Apartment was located right on the beach & was very well stocked.
