The outside appearance of the hotel appeared unkempt. Inside it was obvious some “redo” had occurred and the contractors did a terrible job with painting and utility doors. Our room was dusty and bathroom floor sticky. We compliment on the mattress choice for it was very comfortable. The entrance door at the far end of the building wasn’t secure. The door wasn’t locked and in fact the panic bar was broken. On our second night, we returned to the hotel and neither one of our room keys would work. We graciously thanked the young woman at the front desk who came to our rescue! I’m sorry but we don’t plan to return to this hotel.

The “free breakfast”- stale rice crispies and Raisin Bran. Paid for the “jacuzzi room” no jacuzzi. Dirty… someone else’s soap was in our shower. Hallways smelled like a sewer backed up. So cheap they didn’t even provide lids for coffee cups. No elevator. Served its purpose of providing a place to sleep. I had low expectations and they were met. I’ve stayed at worse.

Not safe! Vagrants coming up to cars s peering in windows. Back door to hotel wide open. No locks. Rooms dirty and smell like weed! Did not even stay one night. Abd they would not issue a refund for two of the three nights.

First hotel I ever stayed in that had their "welcome" staff behind bullet proof glass! That made me want to turn around and leave. The breakfast was cereal, coffee and juice. The rooms were dusty and the bathroom door had a hole punched in it and it was badly fixed. There literally was a dead cat in the parking lot that I told the staff about, but it was still there the next day, so clearly they didn't care. The ice machine was broken. The "art" was painted on the wall with a frame around it. Really would never stay there again.

Easy to get to but, the property left a great deal to be desired as for cleanliness, noise and amenities! The “free” breakfast was a choice of cold, hard doughnuts or, nothing. There was no choice the two days we were there. All night long noise from adjacent rooms was very evident plus, the ice machine was nearby as we heard it every time someone got ice and that was often. The bed was comfortable I will admit but sleep was difficult. We are typical dark space sleepers. Darkness is a concept unknown in this location as curtains do not block any light infiltration. We stayed because we had driven over 350 miles and we’re not certain of availability elsewhere. One thing IS certain, we will never stay here again!

Lack of service to the room, make beds/change sheets and fresh towels was disappointing. Shower head needs to be replaced with one that works properly. Entry doors are misaligned to the point I could see the hallway with the door closed. No elevator to accommodate older guests. On a bright note, the people in charge were very nice to the customers and the rates were very good.

When we got to our room, we discovered toothpaste on the sink counter, crud on the toilet, and the shower didn’t look like it was cleaned. I spoke to the lady at the front desk and she brought a cleaning lady in to clean up. I had already cleaned some things with Clorox wipes. I would have liked to have seen a more thorough cleaning but it was what it was. There was also food on the outside of the microwave and the ice bucket was situated upside down in the top corner of the shower. The bedspreads also had stains. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Wish I could add more pics of this place but it won’t let me. If I could have cancelled and gotten my money back, I would have. This place is gross when you really look at that. As soon as I walked in I had a bad experience with the guy saying I had to pay a $50 deposit that is non refundable for whatever reason. Had 3 tired children on a road trip so we had to endure this place. Screen on window was half broken out which I’m pretty sure is a hazard and a fire code violation. Dirty stops under sink. Holes and scratches all over the bedding. Shower was the worst. Literally gagging while I was using the restroom. They can’t even fill the Kleenex box. Place needs a thorough cleaning and dusting.

The Property itself was dirty. The Carpeting in the halls and stairs were black with dirt. The room check wasn't much better. The bathtub had rust stains and grimy calcium build up. Sheets were dirty with dead bugs and hair. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

The bathroom had hair and something sticky on the floor. The bathtub felt gritty and the shower curtain had mold and stains. The "light breakfast" was two types of cereal. We accidentally left an electric toothbrush there and tried several times to call but no one answered the phone. The website says 24 hour front desk. Maybe not for the phone? There was no hair dryer and no iron. Also, the shampoo and conditioner bottles were used already and only half full. Glad we travel with our own!

We booked 2 rooms. It appeared that neither had been cleaned. 1 had hair in the tub and rumpled sheets, wood was rotted out under a rusted refrigerator, floors were dirty. The other room smelled of smoke. They did move us to 2 cleaner rooms. Still rotted wood under dirty refrigerator and dirt along the baseboards and a toothpick sticking out from under bed frame. Bottom line, it was nasty.

Don’t know where all the positive reviews about cleanliness are coming from. Stains on the bed sheet that were definitely from a person. Hole in the bathroom door. Shower was in bad shape and hardly worked. Pictures that are shown are not what you get.

Parking- safe and well lit, didn’t see security or parking permits Front desk, nice and quick Note I worked at a super 8 before, I’m only comparing. I was in the second floor. I would deep clean if I was the owner. To take carpet stains out, and smoking odors. Remove anything in the corners except a nice chair and mini table. Room, same as any other super 8. This design has been here since 2017 as far as I remember. There was debris in the chair and on the floor, and every corner. This is where our upper management made us fool hand and knees cleaning. The clock was dirty and unplugged, over management would make up plug these in and set the time every time. Everything worked. No drain problems, flush problems, Wi-Fi was great, basic tv great. The heater worked, but loud! On arrival I requested late check out since it was midnight. And someone knocked on my door and kept talking at 8am. With a do not disturb sign on the door. Check out was good, didn’t mention the next steps on the deposit.

Overall our stay was as expected, newly renovated room however pillows are on the smaller side for a king sized bed, and the blankets were thin. Towels were sufficient but some have worn thin. Nothing to cause us to complain but things to be noted for future stays.

Breakfast is coffee with powdered cream (but seemed to be out most of the time), juice cereal and mini muffins. The room didn't have a blow dryer. The door security flip lock was broken off. Front desk staff seemed to keep guests waiting a long time to check in/help. It was ok for the price.

Staff was not helpful at all. My TV wasn't working . The staff person said she would come up when she finished her break. She never came I had to call her. She was annoyed I called back. She did not give me the option to change rooms until I requested since she could not fix the TV. They didn't have elevators snd they would not help me carry my suitcases up to the 2nd floor. My husband and son went to check in and the front desk could not find the reservation. My husband told him he had the itinerary number and the refused to look it up. I ended up calling the hotel and the guy tells me there is no room booked. I told him that we had the reservation number and he finally found our room. We thought that would the end of the issues but then they get to their room and it is dirty. Bed unmade and slept in from the guest before, trash can full, used towels in the bathroom. My husband went back down and told the front desk. They came up with him and moved their room. They were woke up multiple times with people screaming and slamming doors at all hours of the night. Breakfast was a joke, the only thing offered was cereal. Horrible experience from start to finish!

Very disappointed due to them keeping my $50 refundable deposit. They told me if I don’t smoke or damage anything I would get that returned to me. I clearly don’t smoke and I only checked in at 10 o’clock in the evening and went to sleep and checked out in the morning at 6 AM. So I don’t know how sleeping in their bed constituted keeping my $50 refundable deposit.

Not safe! Vagrants coming up to cars s peering in windows. Back door to hotel wide open. No locks. Rooms dirty and smell like weed! Did not even stay one night. Abd they would not issue a refund for two of the three nights.

The insulation in the shower needs to be replaced, the shower head was spraying water all over the ceiling and the walls. The towels need to be washed better, half of the towels had make up stains and some other stains that did not wash out properly and the towels looked yellowish. The window air-conditioning unit was leaking water on the floor. The location was convenient though, very close to the shopping plaza with everything you need. Also close to Indiana dunes park.

Hotel was clean and room was done up very nicely. Older building with some creaks and cracks places but nothing to hinder the stay. Continental breakfast was a bit disappointing as the only food options were two cereals and a few donuts.

The “free breakfast”- stale rice crispies and Raisin Bran. Paid for the “jacuzzi room” no jacuzzi. Dirty… someone else’s soap was in our shower. Hallways smelled like a sewer backed up. So cheap they didn’t even provide lids for coffee cups. No elevator. Served its purpose of providing a place to sleep. I had low expectations and they were met. I’ve stayed at worse.

First hotel I ever stayed in that had their "welcome" staff behind bullet proof glass! That made me want to turn around and leave. The breakfast was cereal, coffee and juice. The rooms were dusty and the bathroom door had a hole punched in it and it was badly fixed. There literally was a dead cat in the parking lot that I told the staff about, but it was still there the next day, so clearly they didn't care. The ice machine was broken. The "art" was painted on the wall with a frame around it. Really would never stay there again.

The over all remodel seemed nice but very rushed. We checked in and the bathroom door wasn’t fully painted on the inside of the bathroom. The plug for the provided hair dryer was broken. There was toilet paper shoved into a hole in the bathroom wall near the outlet. The bathtub looked filthy. The mini-fridge leaked something all over our food boxes. I went to the front desk to ask for toilet paper and the nice lady working at the desk didn’t have a key that worked for the laundry room where the toilet paper was kept so I had to come back over an hour later. As we were packing up the car to leave the nice man working the front desk deactivated our room keys when we had more items and personal belongings to pack in the car. He reactivated the room key quickly so we could finish packing our car to leave. Overall the beds were comfortable and it was a place to sleep, but we would not stay at this hotel again.
