Extremely disappointing stay. Security side door had no lock (it was removed). No chain lock on door. Safe in room was rusted. Hole in the wall. Vending machine broken. Juice machine broken. Toilet clogged. Manager had to get the one hotel plunger from another room. Property was littered. Pool and spa closed for renovation. Coffee maker had no basket for grounds. Bed hard and uncomfortable. Surprised that Expedia represents a hotel in such bad shape.

If you just need a cheap place to stay - it would work. We checked our vehicle a few times to make sure it was safe & it was. The pool said open but was not, ice machines did not work, the breakfast ran out when it ran out but the coffee was good. The neighbors had tons of people in room and were super noisy. They didn’t have an extra blanket when we asked “we’re all out.” Carpets smelled bad in all the hallways and staircases. The check in online was easy. Paid $83/night online - don’t expect much. We made it out alive and safe.

We have stayed in this motel the last three times we've been in this area. There were usually some small problems but nothing that made enough difference for us to not go back. This time when we checked in I had requested a ground floor room because I have had knee surgery and am going to have it on my other knee. We got a room on the second floor they said it was their last room. I had to walk up two sets of stairs then walk to the room. The railing that I had to pull my weight up the stairs with was pulled out of the wall at the top. I almost fell. Then the dead bolt in our door would not lock, PLUS the little top latch lock was removed on the door side. We tried to call the front desk to report these things but the phone didn't work so my husband had to walk all the way back to the lobby to report the problems. When he went outside someone was lying on the ground out by the cars and he looked like he'd been beat up. The staff was very helpful. An older employee came up to our room. We discovered we could get the deadbolt to lock IF my husband lifted the door up and turned the deadbolt. We were ok with that then she was checking the phone and found the telephone wire was just laying on the floor. There wasn't even a jack to plug the phone in PLUS the lady got shocked while she was checking the wire because there was a bare wire coming out of the hole in the wall where the phone was supposed to be plugged in. Needless to say, we won't be staying again.

seemed to be a local long stay motel, where car repairs were being done in the parking lot even though a pool is shown in the pictures, it's not currently operational very nice staff!

Pool was not open. Trash was everywhere on outside of property. Room was decent, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very slim.

Needed serious updating. Bathroom sink leaked. Toilet seat barely fastened on. Bathtub had some kind of weird yellow stain. Trash lay around outside. Won’t stay here again

It was awful. No hot water, bugs everywhere, pool was disgusting, sheets were dirty.

So disappointed in the uncleanliness and smoke smell in the room. Bathroom floor has dried fecies stuck on floor near the toilet. Strong Smoke smell even after running the ac. Unknown crusty things on the bedspread blanket. Chair was not useable. Gross.. do not stay in this motel if it was free.

The room was dirty and had a moldy smell. We had to buy some Lysol to mask the smell. Updates definitely needed. I would never stay there again.

I rarely leave bad reviews but was so disappointed by this place. There were cockroaches everywhere. The sheets and covers felt like they were at least 10 years old. The walls were peeling. The bathtub was dilapidated. Will not stay here again.

AWFULLLLL!!!!!!!! The place is so dirty and reeks of smoke!!! Our room was beyond filthy. When we walked in, we were greeted with a room that reeked of smoke, a bathtub full of dirty water, grime, and hairs. Moving along to the bed, the sheets were dirty. The sheets had hairs, yellow stains, and were wet. On top of all this, everyone in the hotel was very noisy. At 1am, there were dogs barking, banging, loud TVs, yelling, etc. Beyond gross, avoid at all costs!!!! You’re better off sleeping in your car!!!

Don’t recommend!!! Rooms are not clean: - Bed sheets have stains - Room smells like pee - Shower wall had hair leftover from someone else (clearly not cleaned) - Shower drain doesn’t drain well The front desk receptionist was polite and well mannered, but the room itself was terrible. If you value cleanliness, I would steer away!

I had to book this place as I was driving from Toronto Canada to Chicago. I decided to book this hotel becsusd my family and I needed a place to rest and continued our journey next morning. It felt like a horror movie. Starting from the receptionist It was very loud and unkind. He took my credit card way too long ehich ir makes me feel uncomfortable. Next the smell in the whole place is like a bar, cigarettes and Marijuana. Our room was quite dirty. The bathroom still had the soap for the previous guest and toilet paper in the garbage. The bed had hair on the pillows and even my son found toe nails in the sheets. In the morning we saw and video taped roaches in the bathroom and the dresser. I had to block the door withna big chair and a table because it was so loud around 2 am that I felt like someone is coming inside of our room to hurt us. Absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. IN MY OPINION IS BETTER TO REST IN THE CAR ON A WALMART PARKING LOT.

If you need internet for work, this is not the place. The wifi did not reach my room. The "Days in Portage" wifi does reach my room, but they don't want me using that one. Such a pain.

I just want a clean and comfortable room when I travel - I don’t spend a lot of time in the room beyond bathing and sleeping. And this hotel gave me what I needed: a clean and comfortable room at a good price. Though the room did show some signs of age, it was kept up well and appeared to have been remodeled. As others noted, there is no closet to hang clothes - only a couple of hooks. But that was fine for my one night. Bed was comfortable and the breakfast simple, but sufficient to save me the time and money of eating out before my day’s activities.

Very disappointed that the room lacked a closet and room phone. Also, these ire Wi-Fi code doesn’t work. Too much money for too little value.

The rooms are big and clean. The beds comfortable. The bathroom is quite clean as well, but everything a bit old. The drain of the bath tube is cloged and drains very very slowly. The Building is funny, a bit like a maze with many doors and corridors. Breakfast was from 6 to 9. At quarter to nine the women announced quite roughly, that she will closing in 15 min. At 9 it is like an throwing out. The breakfast itself is ok, they offered yoghurt, bananas, one type of jam, kind of cereals. Euch bread/ bagel was wrapped in a zip log bag (not necessary in our opinion). As in all american motels all dishes are completetely one way which produces a giant mount of trash.

The front desk clerk was very friendly but ai specifically asked for a room in a quiet part of the hotel and he told me he had, but 2 men kept me up all night talking. Hotel rooms are numbered crazily making no sense. Carpets were full of crumbs and stains. Shower dripped all night snd bed was awful with a huge body dent on my side.

We had 4 couples on this trip, even tho we booked together we were all over the place and 1 room was extreme modern and sleek and the other 3 were very dated . My room was fairly clean except the bathroom. AC worked great

The room and the hallways had a very odd odor. Carpet needed to be replaced throughout. Entire grounds need a facelift. Everything was outdated or broken. Windows needed to be washed.

Stayed in room 1113. Room was quite and clean. However, a/c unit leaked, bathroom faucet and drain leaked, and bathtub drain was very slow to drain.

Staff was very kind and helpful. Room very clean and comfortable but not pretty. Excellent breakfast bar.

I was not even able to check in as I had the audacity to ask why they needed a credit card for incidentals when checking in at 230 am in the morning when I was leaving in a few hours. The clerk was belligerent towards me, swore at me and did not even check me in, so now have to wait for refund as I had already paid. Through my drivers license and credit card at me and then used f-bombs directed at me when I was leaving. Had to go find another place to stay after already paying and have not yet seen a cent back for my stay.

The only thing good about this was the location on an off Expressway and the front desk clerk was very friendly. If you want to smell marijuana at all hours of the day and evening, this is the place to go. I don’t care what people do in the privacy of their own hotel room. But they don’t need to be smoking it in the hallways and from hotel room to hotel room leaving doors open the room we checked in was very dirty as far as stains on the chairs in the bathroom and they were old stains. It wasn’t something that could come clean , the pool was closed for renovations. I definitely have checked this place off of my list as I will never stay here again.

The interior decoration was bright and pleasant to look at. Busy intersection location was not as attractive. Nice quiet night's sleep.

This is not family friendly as listed on the site. It is in a bad neighborhood and the whole hotel is dirty and run down inside and out. The staff was excellent despite the conditions.

The check in gentleman was awesome. The woman working with him was also doing a good job but there was a male hovering around to talk to her-hanging out in the little store. It’s her place of work. The room was fair, blanket needs to be retired as it’s all pilly and had visible staining. All hotel common halls and stairways smell like marijuana these days due to vaping and this place did as well. The room was fine. Outlet didn’t work unless light was on(not helpful while sleeping) and the lights above bed didn’t work. Price was right and I can handle it but some easy fixes. Oh finally, the breakfast is cereal, toast and coffee which is fine but the employees were bickering in front of us and that was uncomfortable.

The room was plenty spacious and well-cleaned. The outside hallway had the lingering smell of cigarette smoke that they have tried to sanitize the best they could, but it's an old building. There was no smoke smell in the room itself, thankfully. The automatic light sensors in the bathroom need some work though. I couldn't get the fan to stay on. Again, old building that needs some work, but the check-in staff was friendly, we slept well, and the breakfast is adequate. Definitely a case where you get what you pay for.
